Keep an eye on Lipinski if he’s the starting mid, could sort out that F1-2 spot?
Similarly Dow for the oppo. as a cheap breakout mid.
I think it’s still tricky to gage since Pendlebury and Crisp usually start on field during the reg games. Pendlebury not playing doesn’t help. Lipinski either starts fwd or comes off the bench. 400k is an awkward price in this situation.
But maybe Fly is looking for a sightly different approach this year.
Seth Campbell(Rich) seems to have come out of left field? Any info on him.
From tiges website
Spent most of last year recovering from an adductor injury and leg issues before honing his craft in the VFL where he played five games.
That didn’t stop the Tigers from rewarding the small forward/midfielder with a one-year contract for 2024.
Campbell is a product of Burnie and North Launceston and played for the Tasmania Devils under-18 team and the Allies in the AFL National Under-18 Championships in 2022.
Draft history: 2023 Rookie Draft selection (Richmond) No. 12.
What the Richmond recruiters say about Campbell…
“Seth originally played his football with the Burnie Football Club before playing senior football with North Launceston in 2022.
“He was a strong contributor for his Tasmania U18 NAB League side, playing 13 games this year as a running midfielder and averaging 19 disposals while kicking 16 goals. His form was rewarded with selection into the Allies U18 team where he played three matches, his best game coming against South Australia where he recorded 15 disposals and two goals.
“He also managed 10.6 from 32 disposals at senior level in just his third league game for North Launceston earlier this year.
“We like his footy smarts, running strength and ball use. He has class with his feet while also seeing the game well to get into dangerous positions in the flow of play. He is a dangerous goalkicker.”
Zwilliams not playing tonight. VFL instead.
Told you all he was a pipe dream.
Hi GD,
Zac Williams played 65 mins in VFL match (around 55% TOG) and got through unscathed.
At only 55% VFL game time with 1 week to go, I suspect he won’t line up till after their R2 bye at the earliest.
