      1. Yep, going for league only so even if NicNat plays, he’ll be on reduced CBA’s, so may sideways trade him, I have 12 trades
TU yes go for win and make prelim
TD no keep building your side

      1. It’s possible they’re starting to learn their lesson about pushing their players coming back from injury before their body is 100%. For supercoach, it sucks but hopefully it helps Draper actually have a full career because it looks like he can play.

  1. Minchington back in for me, so another rookie playing again.
Glad to see NicNat wasn’t rested as Allen went out due to injury so Williams a straight swap for him.
Nank back in might restrict Nic Nat a little though

  2. Dow is a $117,300 Midfielder making his debut
Williams is a $123,900 Defender/Ruck also making his debut

  3. This is the round when the mighty bombers start their ascendancy to glory and fame for years to come. Ridley to go huge…gets the 3rd fwd now.

  5. So, with B Williams (WCE) rookie named, I will be trading

IN – Ricciardi, Mosquito & a premium mid (prob Fyfe)
But then deciding for OUT between –

TD: Out – Simpson (inj), D Cameron (huge BE) & MCPHERSON (inj) with Aarts or Ricciardi at F6
    OR
TU : Out – Simpson, D Cameron & AARTS with Ricciardi or Mosquito at F6

    1. Stuffed up – sorry, one of the INS should have included Bailey Williams from WCE

TU: Trade out Simpson, Cameron & McPHERSON
for Trade in premo mid, Ricciardi & B WILLIAMS
      OR
TD: Trade out Simpson, Cameron & AARTS
for Trade in premo mid, Ricciardi & MOSQUITO

      Thanks coaches

  6. Seeing as though there’s a short turnaround between the Ess v Hawks and Rich v WC games, will there be time between the two games to make trades? I’m wanting to see if Close gets named for the Geelong game before finalising my selections. Thanks

  7. Thoughts on captaincy options this week?

Thinking Mitchell (VC) and Macrae (C), with Grundy being a smokey against the Blues.

    1. Captaincy article out tomororw at midday, Sammy.

Looks like you’ve got an advanced copy though, already onto 3 of the candidates I name!

  8. Full Premo Strategy:

-7 trades left and need to make 3 upgrades (1 on each line) (4 downgrades).
-After downgrades, will have 1.15mil for these upgrades with current rookie and bank situation, hoping this can increase to 1.35mil.

    Option 1:
3 x 450k players (Sheppard, Walters, JPK (or anyone I can afford).

    Option 2:
    2 x 500k players (Boak and Walters) and a 350k back.

    Option 3:
    2 x 600k premos and field a rookie.

Going for minor league glory. Thoughts?

    2

    1. Option 2 could be a goer – Byrne-Jones would be an option around the right price.

There are quite a lot of good options around $470k-$50k, especially if you want someone who’s had their bye.

Walsh, Walters, Curnow, McGrath, Sheed, Greene, Shiel, Viney, Shuey, Gaff, Mundy.

  9. Taking on 1st place in the 1 v 4 playoff this week.

    Current line up

    D) Lloyd, Ridley, Williams, Stewart, Saad, Docherty (Sholl, Rivers)

    M) Macrae, Oliver, Mitchell, Fyfe, McClugage, Coniglio, Wingard, Viney (Wicks, Foot, Philp)

    R) Grundy, Goldstein (Draper)

    F) Petracca, Whitfield, Greenwood, Simpkin, D. Smith, Rankine (Close, B.Davis)

Going all out for the win, thinking trades are:
    Rankine- Mosquito
    Wingard- Boak
    McClugage- Steele

    Thoughts?

    5

    0
    1. Wingard to Boak and McCluggage to Steele are dicey calls – they’re fine if you WIN this week, but if you lose, you’ve just added two players who will have their byes in your elimination final.

Kelly + Gaff could be an alternative.
      Or Merrett + Parker/Walters.

      3

        1. Holy shit – show me where this is outlined, because it changes things dramatically. I assumed it was a standard 4-week finals series from R14-17?

          0

          3
          1. Never mind…just looked at the league finals fixture and yep, you’re right. I must say, they’ve done a piss-poor job of communicating that. Would probably have changed the trades I did last week. Brought in Lyons because I knew I’d have enough premos this week anyway, but wanted someone who was playing R15 in case I lost this week. If I’d known there was a mid-finals bye, I’d have opted for Steele or Danger instead.

  10. 3 blokes for 2 spots!!!!

    TU: Riccardi & Mosquito

TD: Riccardi & B Williams (WCE)

    Comment: Mosquito & B Williams

  11. My “missus”tech side has a dilemma … trade or dont trade at all??

None of the rookies showing up have great JS I would think … and the rookies still sitting in the side don’t need trading out and have very low BE … what to do? (same applies to the main side as well I guess)

Is it worth trading out two rookies who look to have decent JS and will still increase in value for rookies that may not play much again over the next few weeks??? (and thus with the inevitable late out and rests … end up with a donut somewhere??)

    Thoughts everyone??

  12. Is it worth chucking the Vc on Tom Mitchell (I remember reading somewhere a few weeks ago that essendon allow huge midfield supercoach scores) or back in Nic Nat with the Vc given he’s against Nank and has the 1st gamer back up ruck coming in? Arrghhh

    Tu Titch for the vc
Td Nic Nat for the vc

  14. KH: Five changes this week. Burton, Rozee, Duursma, Marshall and Sutcliffe come in. Mayes, Lienert, Woodcock, Georgiades and a fifth (tbc) will come out #pafclive

Ken has confirmed Steven Motlop as the fifth omission #pafclive

    1. Saints rucks have already confirmed that they are going hard on double team on Gawn and planning on running him into the ground …

      0

      2
    2. worthwhile also noting that the Dees match is out at Alice Springs … usually a lot hotter but evening match may not be as bad … and also the ground should be somewhat harder – would think that they will ease Gawn in … reduce his TOG etc …

    1. Melbourne –
Tom McDonald and James Harmes expected to be dropped for rd 14 and also Bayley Fritsch for being late to training.
Luke Jackson (hamstring) expected back round 18.

      5

      1. I reckon Rivers is a good chance to come back in. Had a great practise match last week with very high DE (which has been the knock on him – lots of turn-overs this year). Surely Goodwin will swing the axe after the Dee’s gave up a comfy lead to the Dogs last week.

Would love to see Mitch Brown get a run for McDonald, who is giving me Chris Dawes flashbacks at the moment. TMac probably makes way for Gawn though – think they’ll play both Gawn and Pruess for a game or two.

        Maybe TMac/Harmes/Fritsch for Gawn/Jones/Rivers.

  16. These teams suck, send em back and get some new ones!

I already traded Bell, turns out that was a mistake after Woodcock, Cavarra, Bytel and Draper were all left out!

    6

    0
    1. yep – I traded Aarts, who got his BE as well and could have stayed two more rounds. Would have ditched Woodcock otherwise as he won’t play next week either now …

      PITA!!!
