    1. My logic for yes is – if you are holding Oliver and can still field a rookie, then you get 50, say. If Petracca his average 119, then you are 69 in front if you go Petracca
Then there is another 9 rounds to go. That means Oliver had to outscore Petracca by 8 per round. Their current averages are 124.7 and 118.9. So a gap of 5.8. So Petracca marginally in front with points on field.
I guess the other point is that Oliver is coming back from a soft tissue injury, which is taking longer than thought to shake. Might just add one more variable that might see him fall off his impeccable high standard a small amount.

  2. Oliver not coming back after almost looking to be ready for the King’s birthday weekend clash really hurts

  3. Was counting on Mullin coming back in to get me to 17 warm bodies this week.
Do we think he’s likely to get back into a secure enough position to be reasonable bench cover?
I’m prepared to cop a couple of donuts this week but it will throw out all my upgrade plans if I have to rethink Mullin…

TU: He’ll be back and passable cover.
TD: Back to the drawing board.

    1. I’ve seen a large portion of both the Games Mullin has played in and IMO he is no where near ready to play AFL. I think they played him to give him a bit of exposure, but I’d be surprised to see him again this season unless the Cats are out of Finals contention or injury ravaged.

  4. Why is it that the AFL web site announces the teams but when you click on the link it only ever gives you the ins and out and not the team list. For that youve gotta go clicking elsewhere. Surely its not that difficult.

  5. Well, with Mullin throwing my trade plans in the bin, who do the brains trust think the rookies, 150k or less on any line, with best potential/JS are, besides Maric?
Feel like I might hear crickets with this question!

    1. Bytel might get a gig at StK this week. Otherwise if one of Fletcher/Lohmann holds they might be worth a shot. Wait for teams to see if anyone new emerges. David Cunningham at Carlton had his first game in a couple of years last week and they won convincingly so I expect him to keep his spot at least in the short term … he is injury prone though. Windy (STK) and Robertson (Bris) are 2 slightly more expensive options to look at. Robertson has scored well the last 2 outings and Windy had heaps of CB’s last week.

        1. No probs. Just saw that Zorko won’t get up for this week so 2 out of Robertson, Lohmann and Fletcher should play this week.

Probably should mention Harrison from Collingwood who is also a popular trade in target this week but not convinced he’ll be around for long. Expecting Buller to get dropped.

  7. Pretty interested to see how Mills goes over the next 2 weeks, and the role Horse has earmarked him for. He has a BE of 167 and you’d think he’ll take a couple of weeks at least to get up to speed after a 5 week lay off. Could be low $400’s come Rd 17. Too hard to pass up at that price I would’ve thought, and surely horse plays him predominently on the ball from next week given they are already hard pressed to make finals.

    1. Hey James.

It’s hard to know what’s going on with those small forwards for the Pies.

I think with their ladder position they might have the luxury to expose a player like HH to some football incase of injuries / loss of form.

He needs to continue to tackle and apply maximum pressure or you would think he goes out for one of Ginni or Hill.

    2. Yeah i’m keen to know if Harrison has good JS…Need a warm body on field this week under 200k other than Maric and unsure who from Harrison/Fletcher/Lohman/Sheldrick has the better JS..

I’ leaning towards Harrison as the Lions boys could be like Sharp, when he was dropped following week..

Any Kaylee update, not seen anything for a while..

  9. Fremantle:

We’ve made a change to our emergencies for tomorrow night’s clash with Essendon.

Bailey Banfield will be replacing Josh Corbett.

  10. Happy to see Sheldrick held his spot in the team with Heeney and Mills both listed as inclusions. Hopefully he can continue to keep his place in the team as handy M/F cover.
