Trade or Hold – Round 13

Written by Hot Sauce on June 14 2019

Rookies

Hold:

Sam Walsh – Mid – $441,200 – AVG: 93.1 – BE: 55

Perfect timing for those that held him to score 141 causing his price slump to not only stop but rising just over $23k with plenty more to come. Likely to be held post-bye but will depend on your numbers available next week.

Will Setterfield – Fwd/Mid – $244,200 – AVG: 54.6 – BE: 15

Continues to creep upward in price and will again this week before his bye. 1 more game for what has been a rather disappointing cash cow.

Nick Larkey – Fwd – $278,000 – Avg: 62.1 – BE: 54

Hold until his bye next week.

Luke Davies-Uniacke – Mid – $301,600 – AVG: 69.0 – BE: 40

Hold for another week until his bye.

Michael Gibbons – Mid – $290,500 – AVG: 57.5 – BE: 4

A well-timed century makes him a certainty until his bye, and possibly for a few weeks after.

Xavier Duursma – Def – $362,100 – AVG: 74.3 – BE: 16

If you held him through his bye then continue to do so for at least another few weeks.

Callum Wilkie – Def – $315,400 – AVG: 66.1 – BE: 50

As above.

Connor Rozee – Def/Fwd – $412,400 – AVG: 81.4 – BE: 99

No point trading this week if you didn’t last week. Another big score and it will extend his stay even further then the next 2 weeks.

Zak Butters – Mid/Fwd – $297,200 – AVG: 64.1 – BE: 11

Another $50k to be made, hold until then.

Bailey Smith – Mid – $399,600 – AVG: 74.5 – BE: 94

If you held on through his bye, you may need to continue to do so until the byes are done.

Matthew Parker – Fwd – $240,200 – AVG: 55.9 – BE: 23

If you held last week, hold through the bye rounds.

Trade:

Josh Corbett – Fwd – $210,200 – AVG: 46.9 – BE: 77

Dropped one game before his bye. See you later.

Bye this week:

Noah Answerth – Def/Mid – $237,000 – AVG: 54.9 – BE: 37

A poor game last week means his cash generation will slow down. With the bye this week you could trade out, but if there isn’t a need and no urgent players to bring in, could keep him for another few weeks to hopefully fatten up some more.

Marty Hore – Def – $418,300 – AVG: 87.6 – BE: 39

SC gold this season already raising $300k+ with more cash to earn. If there is a genuine top 6 defender option that had their bye last week (Sicily or Ryan) upgrade, otherwise hold and enjoy.

Tom Atkins – Mid – $329,000 – AVG: 61.3 – BE: 59

Has done is job well and now ready to be traded out for an upgrade.

Jordan Clark – Def – $291,800 – AVG: 57.6 – BE: 77

As his mate above, Clark’s job is done and should be moved on.

Gryan Miers – Fwd – $311,300 – AVG: 68.6 – BE: 50

Trade worthy but at a lower priority than most.

Jack Petruccelle – Fwd – $244,100 – AVG: 52.5 – BE: 61

Trade him now if you didn’t a few weeks ago. You may have lost $30k by waiting, but don’t lose anymore.

Mid-Pricers

Hold:

James Worpel – Mid/Fwd – $444,800 – AVG: 90.4 – BE: 81

Past his bye so can hold onto at least through the byes then look to upgrade to a top 6 forward.

Andrew McGrath – Def/Mid – $405,800 – AVG: 79.3 – BE: 49

Will earn you some more cash through the byes, and could be a sneaky choice as a potential mid-price post-bye breakout player.

Tom Liberatore – Mid – $423,800 – AVG: 93.4 – BE: 60

If you hadn’t traded him already, then hold through the byes.

Angus Brayshaw – Mid – $423,000 – AVG: 89.6 – BE: 45

Ok so that last game put a spanner in the works. Surely looking to upgrade him this week but now wroth holding onto for at least a few weeks to earn some of that cash back or regain some of last year’s form and be a keeper.

Trade:

Rory Lobb – Ruc/Fwd – $483,600 – AVG: 91.5 – BE: 63

Unfortunately, Ross Lyon is suggesting his season may be over, so he is out.

Dom Sheed – Mid – $478,400 – AVG: 94.8 – BE: 114

Sheed looks like he will remain a line below the premiums, so it is time to upgrade him.

Darcy Moore – Def/Fwd – $374,400 – AVG: 77.9 – BE: 77

Moore has done an excellent job and is now primed to be upgraded. If there are more important trades to be made, he is worth holding onto.

Alex Witherden – Def – $348,800 – AVG: 75.8 – BE: 106

For fear of sounding like a broken record, I won’t mention his last game, but just did… Trade him. Now.

Jeremy Howe – Def – $384,500 – AVG: 77.9 – BE: 63

Has improved in the last few weeks but still failing to reach his potential. Upgrade now to a top 6 defender.

Good luck coaches!

  1. Great article HS. I hav3 a number of these guys. Ready to offload Setterfield next week, now watch score a ton and screw up my plans. Keeping Hore and Duursma for now. Will think about Walsh – like to hold but I need the cash. What to do, what to do…..M
