My current rucks are Grundy, Witts & Preuss (with Dixon, Xerri & J Hayes in FWD line). 2 options I’m considering –
OUT: Grundy, Whitfield & Rachele (benching J Hayes till next week – figuring he won’t be dropping in price).
TU : IN – Gawn, Oliver & rookie mid/fwd via DPP (Daicos will move to def as Whitfield replacement for now and premium defender to be traded in next week) so rucks will be Gawn, Witts & Preuss as R3
OR
TD: IN – S Hayes, Oliver & premium defender this week (with Witts, Preuss & S Hayes as R3, with plan on trading in Gawn later when one of those is ready to cull)
Option 1 seems a waste running Preuss at R3. But this seems to be the perfect time to trade in Gawn – or can he wait? Still has BE of 129.
If I ditch Grundy for Hayes I’m left with Preuss and Hayes as my R1&2 with Dixon as emergency. Which would you prefer?
TU Grundy, JHF and Hayes(StK) to Hayes(port) Rosas and Oliver or
TD Grundy, JHF and Hayes(StK) to
Hayes(port) Witts and Tom Green?
Treloar has been solid without any amazing numbers. Could do worse, could probably do better. Chances are he misses a game or two so may not help his total points. Also be wary of the round 13 forward logjam of Dunkley, English, Treloar, Libba, Heeney & Parker.
So I passed on Preuss last week and felt great about holding Grundy but slight regrets this week. Guess I’m asking if it’s too late to get on the Preuss bandwagon? With Grundy out, English another week or two away, Darcy out with concussion and not looking his best yet and Nic Nat out too. Is there a chance Preuss is just a top 4ish ruck from here to the end of the year?
So, trade question, I’m doing Grundy and Jack Hayes to Clarry and Sam Hayes but thinking of boosting to cut Rachelle to:
TU: Preuss + $72.9k (with Hayes at R3)
TD: Rosas + $240.7k (with Hayes at R2)
Second option will let me upgrade JHF next week and essentially allow one up, one down from here and get me to full premo before the byes without burning all my boosts.
Rosas has a calf injury and with the Suns playing Sunday, you probably won’t know if he’s in for sure when you finalize your trades, which could mean you have a late out and are short a player – it happens, don’t ask me how I know…
If you see Preuss as a top-4 ruck, he’s priced well below what you normally have to pay for that level of player. Hayes is a better option for cash generation, but if you want Preuss as an R2 keeper, it still makes sense at $300k. While it would have been better to get him in last week, it’s not an option anymore.
With Pendles, I’m concerned he won’t be able to sustain for the whole season as he’s getting up in age. With Houston, I’ve brought him in before – he has a purple patch once a year and looks on the verge of breakout before he crashes back to the pack and averaging 85-90.
Do the byes make a difference with the rest of your team?
I really like Sicily over both but I imagine you might already have him. Dale is pretty boringly consistent so could be worth a look too cause personally I don’t know if the other two are going to stay consistent for the year.
I try to be brief, but it never works out. I have $217k in the bank, 27 trades, and I’ve used two boosts.
D: Short / Hewett / Sicily / Ridley / Dawson / NOD // McCartin / SDK
M: Neale / Macrae / Oliver / Brayshaw (Freo) / Cripps / Brodie / Daicos / N. Martin // Rachele / D. Stephens / N. Long
R: ROB / Witts // Preuss
F: Dunkley / Butters / Jackson / Coniglio / Xerri / Rosas // Dixon / J. Hayes
Backline – Ridley under-performing, but probably a luxury U/G at the byes.
Mids – Could upgrade Daicos but I think it can wait a couple weeks.
Rucks – I’d love to bring in Sam Hayes, but there’s nowhere to put him.
Fwd – With Hayes’ injury and Rosas’ calf (I live in Canada and was asleep when he was a late out), I think this line needs the most attention.
1st trade – J. Hayes out, but what else should I do?
TU: Hayes -> sub-$476,200 M/F (Tuohy, McGrath, McInerney, Lobb, Ladhams).
TD: Hayes and Rachele out -> Rookie / uber M/F (Steele / Laird / Touk / Heeney).
or – Comment TU: Hayes and D. Stephens out -> rookie and sub-$550k premo.
I’m thinking now’s the time to get Gawn ( trading Grundy). So many rucks are injured and has less competition. I can see some big scores coming up with more price increases .
Didn’t bring in preuss last week, thinking now to field Hayes at R2 as I don’t want to pay up for preuss now. Also allows me to get rid of Whitfield finally! Keen to hear peoples thoughts!
Grundy > Hayes
Whitfield > Cripps
Rachelle > Steele
My rucks are: Grundy, English, J Hayes with one week wiping out the whole line!
Grundy > Preuss
J Hayes > S Hayes
Hold English
Anyone thinking of Vlastuin in the backline? Can he back it up or am I just stupidly chasing points that will disappear as soon as I bring him in?
Grundy English Jayes Dixon Parish McCartin all out or in doubt
Best to deal with the long term outs first
J to S Hayes, Grundy to Cripps first off
Last trade to cover Parish – Ward to Newcombe Would have $408 k to spend. Anyone else suitable in that bracket
First two trades locked in so
Newcombe yes/no
I really like the Preuss Hayes ruckline cause both are outscoring almost all the other rookies you’d otherwise have on field in other spots so would feel worse at R3. I did start Witts though and think he really has a chance at being the best ruck not named Max Gawn so probably worth grabbing.
Ok I’ve settled with
Grundy/JHF/Rachele OUT
Hayes/Oliver/Parker IN
Not much ITB after that might have to go early on Clark next week if he looks the goods.
Gawn should have a field day with Jackson missing and against a ruckless Hawks outfit! He’s had some monster scores against them too (a 172 & 185 in the past 3)
Out: Grundy, J Hayes, Jackson
In: S Hayes, Oliver, Cripps.
Ideally I want to get Gawn. But for some reason If I do, It screws up my forward structure and leaves me fielding a weak rookie in forwards. I would rather field Preuss and S Hayes on field in the rucks then a Durdin or McCreery at F6. So much better with N Martin at F6. So I have to wait next week to get Gawn.
Tossing up between ruck structure, have two main options
TU- Trade in gawn, 2 downgrade this week, save cash
TD- make 2 upgrades this week (cripps and parker), play ruck roulette with (Pruess, Hayes, Xerri, Dixon) and look to trade in Sean Darcy as a fallen premo in 2-3 weeks time.
Would love to get peoples thoughts on how Darcy has looked this year when he has played
Ruck at the moment is grundy Witts (preuss)
Do I…
TU: upgrade grundy to gawn and keep preuss on bench.
TD: downgrade grundy to hayes, let preuss and Witt’s be main rucks and use the money to bring in clarry
Okay guys pretty torn on what to do here. Missed preuss last week as I couldn’t justify spending that money only to sit on the bench and was going to wait for Hayes this week.
Now that grundy has gone down which no one could’ve predicted, it has changed everyone’s thinking.
I am set on the following trades;
Grundy > Hayes
Whitfield > Cripps
The third trade is a tough one. Do I get preuss in and hope he is a keeper at such a good price still? Or do I lock in a set and forget premo whilst I can in Jack Steele? Leaning towards getting in the top gun premos early and getting the points of the board…
I’m sure many others are in a similar situation as myself this week. Thoughts appreciated!!!!
THIRD TRADE;
Tu; Rachelle > Steele
(Gawn r1, Hayes r2, no preuss)
Td; Rachelle > Preuss
(Gawn r1, Preuss r2, Hayes r3)
TU: Take the punt and trade out Grundy, Hayes and B.Williams to Touk, Parker and Hayes(Running Pruess/Hayes/Dixon combo with Xerri up forward) look to get Darcy in a few weeks
TD: Play itsafe and trade in Gawn, Hayes and Rosas 130k in bank( Running Gawn/Pruess/Hayes. Get in the #1 ruck but field two forward rookies)
Is preuss a must bring in this week? (Gawn r1)
Or can we roll with Hayes at r2 and use that cash to get another premium upgraded somewhere else on the field?
Thoughts appreciated!
I’m really struggling with this same thing. I really like the look of my team with Hayes on field rather than a rookie in any other line and the extra money for upgrades is so hard to ignore. There is just what TheOriginalforce points out, that 40% of teams (at this stage) will be playing him at R2 and if he keeps scoring it could really hurt. At this stage I’ll be passing on him and have a reverse POD but that might just be doubling down on my own past mistakes and if Rosas isn’t named Friday night, then I will bring Preuss in instead.
TU: McCartin, Hayes, Grundy to
Houston, Hayes, Ladhams
or
TD: Rachele, Hayes, Grundy to
Pendles, Hayes, Ladhams
Currently running with Preuus, Hayes, and Dixon in the rucks, so prefer Ladhams flexibility to Parker to cover a Preuus suspension or Dixon’s continued injury. Pendles does mean 1/2 my backline has the Rnd 14 bye tho…
I currently have Grundy, English, Xerri, J Hayes, Dixon & Preuss. Five of the 6 rucks injured with 2 long term. Figure Grundy can become S Hayes, English I’ll keep on the bench for a couple more weeks, J Hayes needs to go but at least wont lose $, Dixon may be back soon, so Xerri? Still has money to make and scores well I’d carry him if I had a bigger bench.
J Hayes to S Hayes
Grundy to Gawn
Xerri (depending on how much cash you have) – either down to Rosas to build some cash for next week, or up to say L Parker or Heeney if you have the funds?
Your rucks would then be Gawn & Preuss & S Hayes – which is pretty good coverage that may well be needed this year!!
And keep English & Dixon for the RUCK / FWD swing once S Hayes’s price has fattened up nicely.
I reckon if Rosas isn’t named, it could be worth trading Xerri and Grundy to Parker and someone else around that price point to pull off a side swap and upgrade in the same move. Preuss Hayes is going to be a fine ruck set up for the next few weeks I think based on other teams and when English is back you can swap him with Dixon to be R1.
My ruck-aggedon team has gone from 6 healthy rucks to just 1 in the space of two weeks.. Dixon already gone last week, holding English, will trade J Hayes when I get a chance, currently have Preuss now at R1, Xerri and Grundy need to go so:
T/U
Grundy > S Hayes (R2)
Whitfield > Oliver
Xerri > Parker
T/D
Grundy > Gawn
Xerri > S Hayes (R3)
Whitfield > Parker
(This option leaves me with Rachelle on field in mids..)
Feel like this may be the cheapest Gawn will be for a while but it makes me put a good scoring rookie on the bench and also think Oliver won’t be this cheap for a while either, want both in my team by season end.
TU: Grundy to Hayes (Gawn & Preuss R1 & 2), McCartin to Green (O’Driscoll onfield at D6), save J Hayes trade for next week.
TD: Grundy to Hayes (Gawn & Preuss R1 & 2), McCartin to Green (O’Driscoll onfield at D6), use 3rd boost for J Hayes to G Clarke.
Leaves me with a very strong midfield but my D Line is shot.
This past weekend has messed up the team and I don’t know where to start
DEF: Crisp, Hewett, Ridley, Bowey, McCartin, O’Driscoll (Sinn, Gibcus)
MID: Macrae, Steele, Neale, Oliver, Crippa, N.Daicos, JHF, Ward (D.Stephens, C.MacDonald, Hollands)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Dixon)
FWD: Dunkley, Butters. Cogs, Brodie, Xerri, N.Martin (Rachele, Durdin)
$57,000 in the bank, 32 trades left, four trade boosts left
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Number 1 priority would be grundy then maybe strengthening your backline. You dont have preuss so you could either go to Hayes or preuss and then free up cash to go to a premo like touk or clarry or even a stewart up back
Two options
1 Grundy to Witts (same price same keeper structure)
2. Grundy to Pruess. Similar points more cash gen possibly higher risk.
Downgrade
In Sam Hayes out Any rookie via Dixon DPP have Hayes R3
Upgrade
Xerri since he’s out. For any a premo fwd.
Would also think about moving someone like Brodie into your mids (macdonald dpp temporarily to get ward off the field If Dixon is named seems a better F6
NEEEED HELP PLSSS!
I’ve studied my two trade scenarios and come up with some reasonable data:
The first one is
TU:
Hayes > Callaghan
Grundy > Hayes
Dow > Oliver
Oliver will be there till the end of the year and this trade means ill have 7 mid premos and then a rookie at M8. In terms of money making hayes will probs be at R2 till probably the byes. By that time Hayes will have made about 200k hopefully maybe more. Callaghan will have probably made about 100k meaning i can make good upgrades then. I also have 180k in the bank after this trade to use for an upgrade next week to another premo. Callaghan will probably be at M9 tho so I’m sacrificing some valuable points on field right now. One extra upside could be that Oliver will be a good VC/C option netting me more points maybe down the line which i was going to do this week
TD:
Hayes > Houston
Grundy > Hayes
Dow > Parker
This trade means I have not as much money makers with Hayes going up 200k like in my other trade, parker maybe goes up 50k but houston should stay about the same. This wouldnt matter tho cause parker and houston should both be there till the end of the year. So i get two keepers rather than 1 in the last trade but they arent as good as oliver. I dont have as much money in the bank tho to make an upgrade next week with like only 5k. The major positive tho is that i get more points now with all 3 inclusions on field
Pls i have been tossing up all week and am in need of serious advice
Thanks a lot
Hey Finn, literally perplexed with a similar issue. My mind has changed daily on trading Grundy straight to Gawn with a Hayes to Hayes swap. Gives me an uber ruck but the same number of keepers as the previous week.
Option two is using a boost and getting Preuss, Crippa and Hayes for Grundy, McCartin and Hayes. Think Preuss can keep hitting the ton, moves Sinclair back taking NOD to the bench and slipping Crippa into the Mids.
At the end of the day it is a gut call for me, but ranked 1291 has to be a call that I’m happy with, and I’m still conflicted.
In your case I would prefer Oliver and the two cashies long term
If I was top 1000 I’d save my boost and bring in Gawn. Could go huge this week vs hawks and is a decent VC if McCartin is unavailable or you still have Stephens
Will finish the year as a keeper and you get to save your boosts for the byes to try and get ahead on the other elite teams
In general I’d lean towards progressing my team with extra keepers
In TU you sideswap a Premo to an UP and double downgrade.
Improves your team but uses 2 sideswaps
TD = 1 sideswap and 1 progression.
Injuries happen and rookies show up late. Mid season draft/injuries ect. Don’t overpay for Callahan just because he’s availiable. Only get him if you are 100% certain he will make you 150k.
TD is smarter but don’t go with Houston he’s a burn man
Forward line is looking pretty scarce at the moment – S Hayes, Xerri, Rosas, Dixon. Plus Grundy & McCartin. Had planned on finally being able to trade out Whitfield this week but he’s like a cat with 9 lives – he remains in my side for another week goddamit!
As long as Rosas gets named, I will be able to scrape together a full field of players- but unfortunately, Whitfield remains. Would love him to throw up a 100+ score, just for a change! Ever hopeful of some good luck coming my way.
At my rank , I can’t afford to be safe. Cripps averaging nearly 120 with a 38 in his score line. For $520K he is too much value to ignore. I watched him very closely last week and he looks very fit. I’m willing to risk it !
Time for a new plan with Luke Jackson and Xerri joining Hayes as injury outs; Jackson might be a hold but with Xerri, a foot injury for a big man is basically a must-trade.
T/U: T Xerri>S hayes
J hayes>rosas
J tsitas>Clarry
ITB: 46,600
Depending on if rosas playing
T/D: J hayes>S hayes
T xerri>L parker
J lloyd>Clarry
ITB:76K
This would be good for parker, but don’t want to look at trading lloyd out, still got reliable backmen in crisp hewett short, can also have a better foward
Comment any suggestions pls
A watch on Carlton’s George Hewett at selection tonight ahead of game v North Melbourne Sat night.
Was walking with a significant limp and had heavy strapping on his calf on Sunday and Tuesday.
Similar calf cork to Patrick Dangerfield
Who prioritise trading. 24 trades left
TU: Keep Rachele in the mid BE80+ and do this trade B.Grundy,T.Xerri > Oliver,M.Rosas
OR
TD: Keep Rachele in the mid and do this trade B.Grundy,T.Xerri , Z.Butters> Oliver,M.Rosas,J.Sicily
Currently have Gawn, originally stuck wit Grundy over Pruess last week. Don’t think it’s too late for Preuss. Not many other other options and still has plenty of coin to make. Cheers legends.
Without a doubt Grundy has to go, as does another ruck. I want to hold English ideally. I want to bring in Gawn – I just think that’s a no brainer over Witts etc. And S Hayes is a solid downgrade cash cow target. If I do that though, I cannot trade Xerri to a premium, or a decent mid-priced without taking a massive punt on Rozee or McDonald, which I’d rather not. Thus, do I bite the bullet and get rid of English for the likes of Cripps/Keays/etc, or just downgrade Xerri this week, cop the lower score and then do upgrades next week? HELP!
Reckon if you held English last week, you kinda need to keep holding. Downgrading Xerri is probably the play but could pass on Gawn for this week and just Xerri to S Hayes and then Grundy to a forward or mid premo. Then you don’t necessarily have to spend the boost this week but could use it to do J Hayes down to Rosas and just bank cash for upgrades next week.
Help needed!
Trades 30

DEF: Crisp, Hewett, Sicily, Short, Daicos, Gibcus, (NOD, Hinge)
MID: Macrae, Steele, Neale, Brayshaw, Cripps, Brodie, JHF, Martin, (Ward, Stephens, Uwland)
RUC: Gawn, Preuss, (Grundy)
FWD: Dunkley, Butters, Cogs, De Koning, Xerri, Rosas, (Dixon, McCartin)
Analysis from a dumby:
Backline is doing well so far. Crisp, Hewett, Sicily, and Short will stay there for the rest of the year. Daics should have another couple of weeks in him and is not a problem for now. Gibcus I am currently happy with, though I benched him last week, and am not sure if I should do the same this week or field him over NOD, who will also stay in the team for a while unless I need him out for somebody else. Hinge, of course, was listed as an EMG, I will leave him on the bench without the E for now until 3 new people get Covid or PCLs tomorrow and I need him.
I have the classical Macrae Steele Neale Cripps Brayshaw setup, and I think I will leave the remaining 3 spots open for a couple more weeks, unless there is somebody I need to bring in. Will Brodie is still on the rise, and is looking like a premium to be honest, with an average higher than every other FWD in my side bar Dunkley. JHF however is very tradable, and going at his average should drop this week I believe. He is on the line but with all the injuries and omissions he might have to stay. Nic Martin will keep going, Ward was not listed but I will probably keep him, Stephens is part of the 8 man bench and could play but probably won’t, and Uwland is doing an exceptional job of being a loophole.
Happy with Gawn and Preuss for now, Grundy will go this week.
Dunkley, Cogs, and Butters will stay until I have luxury trades I would imagine, and De Koning is untradable at this point as a FWD/DEF rookie who is making money and more importantly PLAYING GAMES. Xerri, of course, is out, and I will not be taking a donut, but I will probably trade McCartin over him depending on what other people on this site think. I’m not sure what the situation is with Rosas atm. He is listed as playing but you never know with good ol’ Stewey Dew. And then Dixon is an emergency but not tradable yet, and McCartin is the most likely trade this week.
Trade Targets
With lots of cash to spend this week the main targets are
Mayes of course
Mills
Vlaustin
Keays
Ladhams
Sinclair
Questions
Will Short Sicily Hewett and Crisp all be top 6 this year?
Who to field Gibcus or NOD?
Is Hinge tradeable?
In which order should these rookies be culled: P McCartin, JHF, Xerri, Ward?
Will Dylan Stephens play?
Are there any rookies that are not Hayes that I should bring in this week?
Grundy to Witts or Hayes?
Will Rosas play?
Heeney?
Likely trades: my trades should look something like this:
Grundy and JHF/Hinge/Ward/Xerri/McCartin > Hayes and Heeney/Mills/Keays/Vlaustin/Ladhams/Sinclair (I’m a Sydney fan).
Please please please if you have time answer one of the questions suggest a trade or anything thank you so much for reading.
On top of this, putting McCartin in your backline means you could loophole between Gibcus and NOD this week. So put the E in Gibcus for Friday night and if he scores well, put McCartin on field, if he doesn’t, leave NOD on field
McCartin (BE 44)has concussion but apparently doing well and likely to play next week.
Ward (BE 26) Managed this week so likely to play next week. Very slow burn and needs a good score to promote growth.
Xerri (BE 30) Injured and is listed at 4 weeks. Unfortunate as he had money to make and dependable role. I have traded him out and pocket $138k for his services.
JHF (BE 83) will likely lose some money this week then bounce back the following week after the 39 drops out of the equation.
Easy choice is Xerri. You can not afford to have him sitting on the bench for 4 weeks. When another player could be making money or an upgrade netting you points.
All cows are expendable if a better opportunity arises to improve your team or cash growth. The trick is when is the right time and opportunity. Trades are golden. Do not waste them.
I have already used 2 boosts, and looking at the 3rd this round. Could avoid it, but it would mean 6 onfield rookies, instead of 5.
TU: Use the 3rd trade boost as it means trading in 2 premiums and running with 5 onfield rookies (need to try something to improve ranking which has taken a huge hit the past 2 weeks)
TD: Save the 3rd trade this round, trade in one premium and make do with 6 onfield rookies
Everyone’s got big decisions this week and mine is- Grundy, Hayes, Xerri out
TU- Hayes, Petracca, Parker- Having to play Martin & Rosas F5,6- 10k Bank
TD- Hayes, Clarry, G Clark- Playing Martin, ,Rachelle & Rosas F 4,5,6- 305k+ Rachelle next week upgrade
Grundy to S.Hayes
Xerri to Oliver
Ridley to Cripps
Leaves me 114k in the bank
This makes daicos D5 and O’Driscoll D6
ill have 7 premo mids with cripps M7 JHF will be M8 for the week.
nic Martin will sit at F5 and either Dekoning or Rosas will be F6
This allows me to hopefully go J.Hayes to Dempsey next week giving me 26ok to upgrade O’driscoll to a premo DEF
Does papleys return benefit Luke Parker or will luke still play a big fwd role?
Or am I better off going de goey is absolutely locked and loaded in that pies midfield with team high CBAs week in week out . .
TU: parker
TD: de goey
Feel free to throw a comment below if ya want too throw ya two cents in, TIA
Cheers willy.
I don’t really have other holes in my team atm I have to grab a forward to ensure I don’t play durdin now at F6 with xerri now out. Chasing a bit of value in Parker I think but worry he will be thrown forward for quarters and go quiet.
Could do DPP and grab Steele in the mids but hurts my overall structure for a couple weeks.
If I’m tossing up between two trades how much should team structure impact my decision. First trade is probably better but structure wont be as good. First trade leaves me with no bench cover down back, two in the mids and two forward. I cant do any loopholes for the week tho so just have to trust who i put on.
Second trade may not benefit me quite as much but it means i can swing mccartin forward and have a loophole option in every single line bar ruck of course. This means i am more likely to have a better week because im looping rookies like durdin with rosas and dekoning with o’driscoll and it’s less risky>
Its a funny game is Supercoach. At the end of round 5 I had five ruckmen. Grundy, English, Xerri, Hayes, Dixon. Over the course of round 6 they all disappeared. Absolute carnage. The end result to cover, brought in Preuss, Sinclair last week and this week Steele, Petracca & Hayes, kept English, Dixon, Rachele & JHF. But had to miss Rosas. Takes me to 7 premo mids. Could have been far far worse. I see Gawn and/or Witts somewhere in the future.
Imo it does matter especially if it’s affecting your structure for several weeks… No cover or very little going forward seriously worries me too. If it was only a week then you could look at the better onfield option if that will get you alot more points right now and have a plan to fix coverage next week
I’m in a very similar position…
I can go JHF -> Steele but it means I play a Weaker rookie onfield for potentially several weeks… VS JHayes -> parker/de goey but overall structure looks alot stronger and a bigger bank for future upgrades. I think I’m opting for the latter and look at Steele after his bye.

This was one if the 15 dilemmas I was having this week lol I went Petracca instead of Oliver last week for a bit of a POD in my cash league didn’t work obviously lol
Trading Grundy down to S.Hayes and moving Preuss to R2. I’ve had enough of Whitfield and he’s going to Vlastuin. Question is I have a lot in the bank with the Grundy trade and am going to upgrade a mid from J.Hayes via DPP. Do I go;
TU – Oliver and $105k banked
TD – Petracca and $169k banked
Com – Tom Green and $177k banked
I’d use that saved money and go up from Vlaustin. Definitely not guaranteed top 6, grab one of the big dogs. Docherty, Hewett, Short, Sinclair, Stewart, even Crisp and Lloyd would be players with higher ceiling and better consistency
Was looking to move on Whitfield however due to all the carnage this week, plus hewett going down I need numbers playing. Having faith in Hayes at R2. (Gawn R1)
Thoughts appreciated!
TU: JHF -> Steele play rachele F6 for a few weeks which I do NOT like but completes my midfield and a kitty of 10k . Deal with Hayes another week
TD: JHayes -> parker/de goey play JHF at M8 which I feel more comfortable with. Kitty of $150k for future trades. (Pick up Steele after his bye) keeps JHF for bye cover and bench cover.
This whole week I’ve been waiting for the “who to field” section so I could ask which do I play either NOD or SDK but now with Hewett looking like he’s out with calf soreness that answers that question……BOTH
Yep- Hewett out for this week with bruised calf. You watch- start last week with 8 defenders- now down to 6.
Mind you- think I started last week with 6 rucks and now down to 2.
Non playing rookies are such dead weight, there will always be someone out each week in this covid world.
Same notion applies for people being so trigger happy with their trades. The reason we got them was for all the added H/S protocols. When it’s crunch time and we are full premo, we will need these extra trades for sideways for that crunch league game, or to stay high in the rankings.
Gotta get to the point of being high in the rankings to begin with mate. I think post bye is the time to be conservative and ensure there are trades in the bank. Easy to be conservative with trades when you start well.
As for the loopholes, couldn’t agree more.. absolute waste.
If my “smart” phone was so smart it would know that I don’t need notifications saying that there’s players on my squad who are out with injury……..I know they are out thank you……. no need to remind me!!!! Good luck all
Maybe Ward is your out this round, as he’s not named and you may need Rachele if Parish/others dont come up? Its been that sort of week… Await team drops tonight, pleanty of time as tonights game doesnt affect you too much
Grundy and Xerri out, shift Coniglio to the forward line, trade Steele in to the mid and S. Hayes to R3.
Next Week J.Hayes to best FWD rookie on the bubble (possibly Dempsey) and Ridley to Docherty.
Sounds good in theory, but, there go the best laid plans of mice and men, a week is a long time in SC.
Tu: Rachele to Cripps
Td: Horne-Francis to Petracca
Moved to new thread….
Need Thoughts On This One:
Traded Out: Grundy,JHF,Hayes
Traded In: Sicily, Parker, Hayes
30k Remaining.. Would you try target any other player?
Going the boost this week to move on Grundy while also upgrading. Also perfect time to jump on Cripps having not started him.
OUT: Grundy, Rachele, J. Hayes
IN: Crippa, L. Parker, S. Hayes
Grundy for whitts seems better for your structure
gonna need some help with this one peeps.
T/U rachele hayes whitfield for parker trelor and hayes
or
T/D rachele hayes for cripps hayes and save the boost and ride whitfield out?
Treloar has been solid without any amazing numbers. Could do worse, could probably do better. Chances are he misses a game or two so may not help his total points. Also be wary of the round 13 forward logjam of Dunkley, English, Treloar, Libba, Heeney & Parker.
Agreed, if you can squeeze Parker and cripps in and you don’t have 2 more of those fwds that’s the trade I would do
Grundy To S Hayes (R1- witts, R2-preuss)
J Hayes To Oliver
Ridley to Cripps via O’Driscoll to D6
The Preuss Caboose is still taking passengers!
People were starting him last year at 300k without a second thought.
And how dai that work out for them
Rosas has a calf injury and with the Suns playing Sunday, you probably won’t know if he’s in for sure when you finalize your trades, which could mean you have a late out and are short a player – it happens, don’t ask me how I know…
If you see Preuss as a top-4 ruck, he’s priced well below what you normally have to pay for that level of player. Hayes is a better option for cash generation, but if you want Preuss as an R2 keeper, it still makes sense at $300k. While it would have been better to get him in last week, it’s not an option anymore.
TU – Pendlebury
TD – Houston
With Pendles, I’m concerned he won’t be able to sustain for the whole season as he’s getting up in age. With Houston, I’ve brought him in before – he has a purple patch once a year and looks on the verge of breakout before he crashes back to the pack and averaging 85-90.
Do the byes make a difference with the rest of your team?
Pendles actually helps my byes,
Any other defender under 548 u guys think would be better ?
Continuation from above:
TU: Hayes and D. Stephens -> rookie and sub-$550k premo M/F.
Xerri is out injured so your FWD line is looking troubled with 4 non playing players.
Given Hayes is the only viable rookie this week, I would consider using another booster
ROB to Hayes
Hayes to FWD premium priced equal to or less then RoB
Xerri to Premo Mid via Brodie/Martin DPP
T/U Touk
T/D Brayshaw
T/U Docherty
T/D Stewart
I’m thinking now’s the time to get Gawn ( trading Grundy). So many rucks are injured and has less competition. I can see some big scores coming up with more price increases .
Looking to use first boost and then be left with 26 trades.
Current team is
Short, Crisp, Whitfield, Bowery, Daicos, NOD (McCartin, Dekoning)
Macrae, Laird, Neale, Cripps, Kelly, Berry, JHF, Martin (Rachelle, Stephens, Hough)
Gawn, Marshall (Hayes)
Dunkley, Treloar, Coniglio, Butters, Brodie, Xerri (Hayes, Dixon)
Rachelle and Hayes to Rosas and Hobbs
Then stuck on last one.
McCartin out to Houston or Pendlebury
Or
JHF out to Oliver, Docherty or Parker
Oliver and Docherty seem safe, however other 3 cheap and could allow faster cheap upgrades over next few weeks.
Thoughts?
Hi everyone – thoughts please – Who best to get rid of for Oliver(via dpp)?
T/U L.Jackson
T/D Butters
Didn’t bring in preuss last week, thinking now to field Hayes at R2 as I don’t want to pay up for preuss now. Also allows me to get rid of Whitfield finally! Keen to hear peoples thoughts!

Latest update from Western Bulldogs –
Tim English (hamstring): 1-2 weeks
$482K in the bank after dealing with Grundy and Hayes’ injuries.
I’ve got Mead or Ward to upgrade to a premo mid, I also want to bring in a Luke Parker for a Xerri next week.
I’m torn between:
TU: – going to the bargain bin for a Cripps
TD: – going for a costlier POD in Keays
Comment: going for an even costlier super premo in Steele
Rumour is Xerri may be out due to a foot issue so double check and look to upgrade him to your preferred uber
Have the Grundy conundrum also.
Playing with the below as it stands.
TU – rachelle, Grundy, Berry out for Oliver, Tom Green, S.hayes
TD – Rachelle, Grundy, J. Hayes out for Oliver, Parker, S.hayes banking funds to upgrade JHF to premo next week

Pre trade ruckline: Grundy Preuss (Dixon)
Xerri & JHayes fwd line*
Bank: $190k
OUT : JHayes, Rachele & Grundy
IN : SHayes, Oliver & Rosas (if named)
Post trade ruckline: Preuss SHayes (Dixon)
Xerri fwd as cover or play him R2 and Rosas onfield.
Bank : 420k
Otherwise it’s just Grundy to Witts and lock him in.
Maybe instead of having 420k sitting there u could go to another premo rather than rosas who is nice but not a need if u have hayes
Thanks Finn,
Might grab a Parker or de goey.
Not sure on Parker’s role but leaving towards him I think
Grundy to Witts, Hayes to Hayes (via Dixon).
I really like the Preuss Hayes ruckline cause both are outscoring almost all the other rookies you’d otherwise have on field in other spots so would feel worse at R3. I did start Witts though and think he really has a chance at being the best ruck not named Max Gawn so probably worth grabbing.
Hayes -> Hayes
Rachelle -> Parker
Zero Hanger reporting Jackson might be one of the 3 dees out with covid along with housemate Bedford.
Good time to bring in Gawn if you haven’t got him!!!

Trades this week.
Only want to do two trades this week J Hayes plus:
T/U Rachele
or
T/D JHF
Can we run a Preuss Hayes Dixon ruck setup? Suppose it’s up til the byes so 6 weeks…. The Grundy to Hayes will allow some big upgrades elsewhere
Exactly my plan…welcome Oliver and a gun fwd I haven’t decided on yet….probably Parker.
All subject to Dees covid outbreak.
It’s not really an upgrade, just a sideswap with a fit premo and a hopefully more reliable rookie.
I’d say it’s fine until teams get full premo but would want to bring in English as soon as he returns if you aren’t holding him. For the cover
Hey coaches, new to the site

Tossing up between ruck structure, have two main options
TU- Trade in gawn, 2 downgrade this week, save cash
TD- make 2 upgrades this week (cripps and parker), play ruck roulette with (Pruess, Hayes, Xerri, Dixon) and look to trade in Sean Darcy as a fallen premo in 2-3 weeks time.
Would love to get peoples thoughts on how Darcy has looked this year when he has played
I’ve chosen Mills over Oliver. Yay or Nay ?

I’d say Ward or MacDonald, depending on what you can use the extra $53k from Ward for 🙂
Okay guys pretty torn on what to do here. Missed preuss last week as I couldn’t justify spending that money only to sit on the bench and was going to wait for Hayes this week.
Now that grundy has gone down which no one could’ve predicted, it has changed everyone’s thinking.
I am set on the following trades;
THIRD TRADE;
Tu; Rachelle > Steele
(Gawn r1, Hayes r2, no preuss)
Td; Rachelle > Preuss

Which trade option is better?
Option 1 – TU
Grundy, J.Hayes, English -> Gawn, S.Hayes, Cripps
Option 2 – TD
Grundy, J.Hayes, Rachele -> S.Hayes, Cripps, Tracca
It’s also worth noting;
Option 1 also leaves me with about $150k in the kitty
Option 2 leaves me with about $20k… (but I get to keep English)
English is 1-2 weeks away. No longer than that. It has been announced. Keep him.

I would love any info tiger fans might have about Vlastuin. Have been thinking about bringing him in. Cheers
Is preuss a must bring in this week? (Gawn r1)
Or can we roll with Hayes at r2 and use that cash to get another premium upgraded somewhere else on the field?
Thoughts appreciated!
Preuss will be the most popular r2. Perfect opportunity to stay with the pack or take a risk on breaking away.
TU:
Out: Hayes, Grundy and Rachele.
In: Gawn, Hayes and Rosas ($183k ITB for next round, with an eye to get Clayton next week)
TD: Hayes, Grundy and Daicos.
In: Petracca, Parker and Hayes ($33k ITB)
Who’s the bigger priority to bring in?
TU: Gawn (playing without Jackson)
TD: Oliver (lower BE)
Bring in:
TU: Oliver and Callaghan and 170k
TD: Parker and Houston
Reports say Xerri out for 4 weeks with a foot injury. Trade plans once again out the window. Few rounds ago we had too many rucks …
I originally had Grundy > S.Hayes and J.Hayes > Oliver which left me 85k in the bank.
Trading out Xerri only leaves me with 430k.
T/U Rozee *shutters*
T/D Rosas (if named)/Some other rookie and build the war chest for the coming weeks.
Reckon Rosas if named but if you have cover, could just wait a week to save the boost
TU: McCartin, Hayes, Grundy to
Houston, Hayes, Ladhams
or
TD: Rachele, Hayes, Grundy to
Pendles, Hayes, Ladhams
Currently running with Preuus, Hayes, and Dixon in the rucks, so prefer Ladhams flexibility to Parker to cover a Preuus suspension or Dixon’s continued injury. Pendles does mean 1/2 my backline has the Rnd 14 bye tho…
So confused…..
TU: Grundy/Hayes/Dixon -> Preuss/Hayes/Brayshaw – leaves 79.5K ITB
TD: Grundy/Hayes/JHF -> Hayes/Brayshaw/Parker – leaves 8.5K ITB
Comment:
Grundy/Hayes/Rachelle -> Hayes/Sinclair/Parker – leaves 2.9K ITB
Leaning to Option 2 at the moment but who knows what I’ll think tomorrow!
Comment:
Grundy/Hayes/Rachelle -> Hayes/Sinclair/Parker – leaves 2.9K ITB
Xerri out for a month with a hot spot detected in his foot.
TU: Trade
TD: Hold
I currently have Grundy, English, Xerri, J Hayes, Dixon & Preuss. Five of the 6 rucks injured with 2 long term. Figure Grundy can become S Hayes, English I’ll keep on the bench for a couple more weeks, J Hayes needs to go but at least wont lose $, Dixon may be back soon, so Xerri? Still has money to make and scores well I’d carry him if I had a bigger bench.
@ Tryhards – g’day!!
Maybe look at these type of trades:
Who scores more from here on in.
T/U- Tom Mitchell
T/D- Alex Witherden
I impulsively traded Witherden in right before the bounce on Saturday and while I hope he out scores Titch, I can’t imagine that’ll actually happen
Have Grundy, Xerri and Hayes so will be using my first trade boost this week. Here are the two options I am considering at the moment:
T/up – Grundy > O’Brien, J. Hayes > S. Hayes, Xerri > Parker, which leaves me with $45k
T/down – Grundy > Preuss, J. Hayes > S. Hayes, Xerri > any FWD (most likely still Parker) , which leaves me with $268k for upgrades next week too
hey guys, who to bring in?
Cripps
Or
Touk
Cheers
I need a second downgrade option (mid/fwd) – already have rosas and hayes in ruck
Not a lot out there right now. Maybe early on Clark?
Have the same issue.
Had a similar ruck setup and held English.
Now I have to boost and start Pruess/Hayes at R1/2
I think I’m going Keyes and Cripps. Fill out my midfield . Balance will look better with English back
Who’s the better MID option around 550k?
T/U – Josh Kelly
T/D – McCluggage
TU: Grundy to Hayes (Gawn & Preuss R1 & 2), McCartin to Green (O’Driscoll onfield at D6), save J Hayes trade for next week.
TD: Grundy to Hayes (Gawn & Preuss R1 & 2), McCartin to Green (O’Driscoll onfield at D6), use 3rd boost for J Hayes to G Clarke.
Leaves me with a very strong midfield but my D Line is shot.
Comment: Back to the drawing board.
TU: save the boost, wait til Clark is on the bubble.
Could you swap Daicos to D6 and use someone else at M7/M8?
Grundy > Hayes
Rachelle > Cripps
Followed by…
Tu; Whitfield > Steele (Hold xerri for one week on the bench)
Td; Xerri > Witherden
Second option means I field one less rookie, however Whitfield has a high BE.
Tom Green finish top 8 mids? Averaging 122, at a good price is it worth bringing him in this week via Xerri?
TU: J hayes> s hayes
xerri>gawn
mcdonald>rosas
ITB:52k
TD: J hayes> s hayes
Xerri> rosas
tsitas> clarry
ITB:10k
Upgrade in mids (already have Macrae/Oliver/Cripps/Neale)
T/U: Steele
T/D: Keays (+60k for next week)
is it worth having both Cripps and Walsh ?
You dont have preuss so you could either go to Hayes or preuss and then free up cash to go to a premo like touk or clarry or even a stewart up back
Rucks
Agree with this, but would probably do Xerri to a defender cause that backline needs a boost for sure
Thanks mate
If I was top 1000 I’d save my boost and bring in Gawn. Could go huge this week vs hawks and is a decent VC if McCartin is unavailable or you still have Stephens
Will finish the year as a keeper and you get to save your boosts for the byes to try and get ahead on the other elite teams
In general I’d lean towards progressing my team with extra keepers
In TU you sideswap a Premo to an UP and double downgrade.
Improves your team but uses 2 sideswaps
TD = 1 sideswap and 1 progression.
Injuries happen and rookies show up late. Mid season draft/injuries ect. Don’t overpay for Callahan just because he’s availiable. Only get him if you are 100% certain he will make you 150k.
TD is smarter but don’t go with Houston he’s a burn man
hey,
treloar
or
Parker
Thanks
TU: Trade Rachelle
TD: Trade Xerri
the other one goes next week. Don’t want to see Rachelle lose 15 or so grand…
TU – Bailey Dale
TD – Jake Lloyd
Xerri now out for a month, so firstly trading him to S. Hayes.
TU: Grundy to Gawn, P. McCartin to Vlastuin
TD: Grundy to Preuss (R2 & Witts R1), J. Boyd (in D6) to Sinclair/Docherty
Or hold the 3rd trade and run J. Boyd as D6 this week?
grundy, J Hayes and Xerri out for S Hayes, Keays and Ladhams with a Preuss/S Hayes ruck combo and ladhams in the forwards
just thinking of going for a couple of PODs
TU sounds ok
TD that’s crap
Hickey back soon will take the main ruck role.
I believe you mean J.Hayes, right?
Show us your team and happy to provide suggestions 🙂
Correction, yes I meant J Hayes.
As long as Rosas gets named, I will be able to scrape together a full field of players- but unfortunately, Whitfield remains. Would love him to throw up a 100+ score, just for a change! Ever hopeful of some good luck coming my way.
Need your thoughts.
Grundy, Xerri, Whitfield > S. Hayes, Steele, Sicily
Salary left $32K
I can afford any two premos in def, mid or fwd with cap of $1,215,400. I’m open to any suggestions if there is better value than Steele and Sicily.
Def: Stewart, Hewett, SICILY, Bowey, Dacios, Gibcus (P. McCartin, Hinge)
Mids: Macrae, Neale, Oliver, STEELE, T.Miller, Brodie, Rowell, Horne-Francis (Rachele, Ward, Hough)
Rucks: Gawn, Preuss (S.HAYES)
Fwds: Dunkley, Treloar, Butters, Coniglio, N. Martin, Rosas (S.De Koning, J.Hayes)
Good trades. Go for it.
I was going to use a boost , but with Xerri out…
I can go J Hayes to S Hayes, and Xerri to Cripps.
Leaves me zero $$
T/U Zero $$ is a sign, save the Boost.
T/D Boost and downgrade Rachelle before he loses cash .
I just don’t trust Cripps. Go for safer options.
Thanks Razza.
I thought the same to start the year. But…
At my rank , I can’t afford to be safe. Cripps averaging nearly 120 with a 38 in his score line. For $520K he is too much value to ignore. I watched him very closely last week and he looks very fit. I’m willing to risk it !
And everyone has him. Can not beat him, Join him.
Good call FD.
I can not believe I am validating Cripps!
Midfield is Macrae, Steele, Neale, Oliver Brodie, Daicos, Hewett (to def) and Ward m8 (to bench)
Bring in:
TU Brayshaw
TD Keayes
Next week Touk.
TU Touk Miller
TD Patrick Cripps
Who’s a better combo to have?
TU: Gawn/Parker
TD: Cripps/Touk
Time for a new plan with Luke Jackson and Xerri joining Hayes as injury outs; Jackson might be a hold but with Xerri, a foot injury for a big man is basically a must-trade.
PLS NEED HELP URGENT!!!!
Need to think of trades, can move around players
T/U: T Xerri>S hayes
J hayes>rosas
J tsitas>Clarry
ITB: 46,600
Depending on if rosas playing
T/D: J hayes>S hayes
T xerri>L parker
J lloyd>Clarry
ITB:76K
This would be good for parker, but don’t want to look at trading lloyd out, still got reliable backmen in crisp hewett short, can also have a better foward
Comment any suggestions pls
No need to trade Lloyd just to get Parker I don’t think definitely go with scenario 1
Don’t waste a trade moving tsasis he’s a cheap loop.
Hayes to Hayes + Xerri to premo is the right upgrade.
Using a boost to sideswap a healthy premo seems like a waste
thank you!!
TU:
Grundy > Gawn
Hayes > Hayes
L. Jackson > Parker
TD:
Grundy > Witts
Hayes > Hayes
L. Jackson > Brayshaw
Comment: Don’t use 3rd trade on L. Jackson
Hold Jackson, save trade boost for bye round
Yeah head says that too. Tempting to go with the boost now but might hold off
Having a hard time deciding on a donut in def, ruc or fwd..
preferably bench…
Given Hayes is the only viable rookie this week and Pruess is still a bargain… not ruck
Still it seems unlikely that you only have 18 active players this week. With DPP and boosts you should be able to get no donuts.
TU: Heeney
TD: Libba
Bloody hell is it an early bye round??? Coz a fair chunk of my team aren’t playing……
Lots of rumours of a few popular picks being outs this week. We await the teamsheets.
Are there any pods that can get for 450k or under?
Luke McDonald is probably the most viable keeper that’s under owned at that price
Tu Lloyd
Td Witherden
Or comment if there’s someone else I’m not thinking of. Cheers gang.
Hewitt named, could he be a late withdrawal?
Mitch Cleary:
A watch on Carlton’s George Hewett at selection tonight ahead of game v North Melbourne Sat night.
Was walking with a significant limp and had heavy strapping on his calf on Sunday and Tuesday.
Similar calf cork to Patrick Dangerfield
Who to get?
TU:Nick Vlaustin
TD: L.Ryan
Which do you prioritise trading.
TU: Rachele whose BE is 80+ projected to lose $$$ and in BAD form.
TD: xerri whose not playing and can deal with in a week’s time as won’t lose $$ . (Martin F8 so don’t need the traded in player to be fielded)
Grundy to Hayes
Hayes to Stewart
Whitfield to Rosas
T/U – Yes

TD: Ladhams
Looking for someone to cover for the next week or so for English.
T/U – S Hayes and 175k

Hayes would allow me to upgrade Rachele next week to whoever I want, mid or fwd via DPP
not liking these results, so who said i need to listen to you guys anyway. Sam Hayes welcome to the team

trade Rachele out
Most likely to finish Top 8 Mids
T/U Keays
T/D T.Green
Okay a few forced trades this week…
Out – Grundy, Xerri, Hayes
In – Clarry, Preuss, Hayes (Port)
T/U – Nice
T/D – Nah
Currently have Gawn, originally stuck wit Grundy over Pruess last week. Don’t think it’s too late for Preuss. Not many other other options and still has plenty of coin to make. Cheers legends.
With the Dogs saying English is only 1-2 weeks away, what is the best thing to do?
TU: Trade
TD: Hold
If you held that first week, ride the rest out.
For the first time this season I am at a loss about what to do!
Before any changes, I have 31 trades, $44,900 itb, and my team looks like this:
DEF: Sinclair, Crisp, Hewett, Short, NOD, McCartin* (Gibcus, SDK)
MID: Macrae, Neale, Oliver, B Smith, Brodie, Berry, Daicos, JHF (Rachele, Ward, Stephens)
RUC: Grundy*, Preuss (J Hayes*)
FOR: Dunkley, Heeney, Brodie, Cogs, Xerri*, N Martin (English*, Dixon*)
If you are doing a boost I’d look to
1 sideswap Grundy to a defensive premo and sure up that line especially since they are cheaper then mid premos.
English to R1 SDK FWD to open up loop.
Then 1 up 1 down Hayes to Hayes. Xerri to premo FWD.
Hayes on field as R2 this week
Locking Clarry and Hayes into my side this week but not sure whether to grab Rosas or Parker (while he’s still super cheap).
Getting Rosas will allow me to grab both Docherty and Keays next week.
Getting Parker will give me good coverage this week and allow me to get 1 of Docherty or Keays next week.
TU: Rosas (BOTH Docherty and Keays next week)
TD: Parker (ONE of Docherty OR Keays next week)
Better cash gen to bring in trips week
T/u – preuss
T/d – rosas
TU: Xerri + JHF/Rachele for Oliver + Rosas
(Go safe, save a boost)
TD: Xerri + Chapman + Rowell for Oliver + Vlastuin + Rosas
(Risk it for the biscuit)
T/U: Use trade boost to get rosas
T/D: Save boost

find cash for heeney. he had an off night and still score 80, and has a higher ceiling and higher average game than those two

Trades 30
137k ITB
Grundy -> Hayes
Hinge -> Heeney (via McCartin DPP)
Xerri -> 625k premo MID (via Brodie DPP)
On top of this, putting McCartin in your backline means you could loophole between Gibcus and NOD this week. So put the E in Gibcus for Friday night and if he scores well, put McCartin on field, if he doesn’t, leave NOD on field
Which rookie is the better option to trade out this week ?
TU : Xerri – means I have an emergency in each line but I take a hit with Rachele’s price going down OR
TD: Rachele – This leaves me with no emergency in my forward line and most likely trading Xerri out next week.
All the money I want, have Short, Sicily, Crisp, Hewett, Steele, Macrae, Cripps, Brayshaw, Neale, Dunkley, who do I target?
Has to be Gawn or Oliver for sure
Grundy > Oliver (via dpp)
Xerri > S.Hayes
locked in.
3rd trade:
TU: Rowell > Heeney (via DPP)
TD: JHF > Parker (via DPP)
Whoever I don’t trade of Rowell/JHF is M8. Not overly convinced on Parker but would prefer to keep Rowell over JHF so have feelings on both.
Which rookie goes this week?
TU: McCartin
TD: Ward
TU Comment: Xerri
TD Comment: JHF
Comment
What’s everyone’s thoughts on Finn Callaghan to bring in
TU: Yeh good js and role should make money
TD: No is too pricy and won’t make that much
Everyone’s got big decisions this week and mine is- Grundy, Hayes, Xerri out
TU- Hayes, Petracca, Parker- Having to play Martin & Rosas F5,6- 10k Bank
TD- Hayes, Clarry, G Clark- Playing Martin, ,Rachelle & Rosas F 4,5,6- 305k+ Rachelle next week upgrade
My team is in a world of trouble.
I have more red and white stripes than closing time at the Vienna beer festival…
What’s peoples thoughts on my third trade this week. I keep going back and forth.
TU get Witts ; saves me having preuss and Hayes as R1 and R2. Should go big against ruckless pies and make some coin
TD get Parker; Papley back should give him more mid time. Very cheap high ceiling.
Thanks and good luck everyone
Grundy to S.Hayes
Xerri to Oliver
Ridley to Cripps
Leaves me 114k in the bank
This makes daicos D5 and O’Driscoll D6
ill have 7 premo mids with cripps M7 JHF will be M8 for the week.
nic Martin will sit at F5 and either Dekoning or Rosas will be F6
This allows me to hopefully go J.Hayes to Dempsey next week giving me 26ok to upgrade O’driscoll to a premo DEF
TU : J Steele
TD : C Oliver
Comment Luke Parker
All great, Bank$ just increases from top to bottom choices.
Hayes > Hayes
Grundy > Oliver
Leaves me with S. Hayes rucking at R2 this week alongside Preuss. But next week I will upgrade L. Jackson to Gawn.
Saves trade boost, allows me to swing Brodie forward so I don’t field a donut this week and gets me Oliver before price goes up.
Is this a good idea?
Exactly what I’m doing but given the carnage everywhere….not even going to think of the upgrade next week.
Looking to bring in a premium Defender.
TU-Jack Sinclair
TD-Jayden Short
Not sure who will have the more fruitful season and who will drop off…
Hi guys

Or
Cripps
Grundy to S.Hayes
Xerri to Oliver (via DPP)
J. Hayes to Cripps (Via DPP)
Leaves 220.1k ITB which hopefully will allow next week
JHF to Andrew Brayshaw
Rachele to Dempsey / Curtis / any other downgrade rookie worth considering
Will have 26 trades and three trade boosts remaining after next week .
TU; Do it
TD; Look at something else
Thanks !

Last week I wrote that I had no need for Preuss as I had English, Grundy, Xerri, Hayes & Dixon. Boy that backfired.
English[B Smith last[wk]
This wk
Grundy- Gawn
Xerri- Preuss
Hayes – Hayes
Does papleys return benefit Luke Parker or will luke still play a big fwd role?
Or am I better off going de goey is absolutely locked and loaded in that pies midfield with team high CBAs week in week out . .
TU: parker
TD: de goey
Feel free to throw a comment below if ya want too throw ya two cents in, TIA
I have future plans for both but I have other problems. If not it would be Parker but both can wait as their prices wont change much.
My other two ins this week are Oliver and SHayes
Question for all you supercoach long-timers:
If I’m tossing up between two trades how much should team structure impact my decision. First trade is probably better but structure wont be as good. First trade leaves me with no bench cover down back, two in the mids and two forward. I cant do any loopholes for the week tho so just have to trust who i put on.
Second trade may not benefit me quite as much but it means i can swing mccartin forward and have a loophole option in every single line bar ruck of course. This means i am more likely to have a better week because im looping rookies like durdin with rosas and dekoning with o’driscoll and it’s less risky>
TU: It matters heaps
TD: Don’t even think about it
Its a funny game is Supercoach.
Hey Finn,
Imo it does matter especially if it’s affecting your structure for several weeks… No cover or very little going forward seriously worries me too.
Yeh I’m going the same especially with Hewett out now thanks heaps mate
Time to kiss goodbye to one of these…which one?
TU: Berry
TD: Rowell
Haha – what a difference one week makes!!
Your trading out Berry versus Rowell query would probably have been a different answer last week I reckon 🙂
Rowell has a lot more CBA’s than Berry – so hopefully he can keep last weeks form up.
With a couple of 60’s thrown in, Rowell has also still scored 3 x 100 + scores this year – which for the moment is a bigger ceiling that Berry.
I agree with the poll, and think Berry should come out of your side before Rowell.
to bring in…..
TU: Cripps
TD: Heeney

Nightmare week of injuries
Grundy > Gawn
J. Hayes > S Hayes
Xerri > Parker
TU/TD?
Planning to get in Oliver with Xerri and Grundy but Rachelle is a hassle with the high BE
TU: Trade in Xerri,Grundy to get in Oliver,Rosas
TD: Trade Rachelle
Oliver will probably rise in price more than Rachelle will fall. You’re better off bringing Oliver this week
This was one if the 15 dilemmas I was having this week lol I went Petracca instead of Oliver last week for a bit of a POD in my cash league didn’t work obviously lol
Planning to keep PA Hayes as ruck and not get preuss
TU: Do it keep Hayes in the ruck not bench
TD: Get Preuss
Just need to get bodies in this week with all the injuries.
Grundy > S Hayes
P McCartin > Brodie
Ward > Cripps
Thoughts team?
Still worth getting Preuss
G’day Fellas
Trading Grundy down to S.Hayes and moving Preuss to R2. I’ve had enough of Whitfield and he’s going to Vlastuin. Question is I have a lot in the bank with the Grundy trade and am going to upgrade a mid from J.Hayes via DPP. Do I go;
TU – Oliver and $105k banked
TD – Petracca and $169k banked
Com – Tom Green and $177k banked
Or any other recommendations?
Cheers
I’d use that saved money and go up from Vlaustin. Definitely not guaranteed top 6, grab one of the big dogs. Docherty, Hewett, Short, Sinclair, Stewart, even Crisp and Lloyd would be players with higher ceiling and better consistency
What do you guys and girls think?
Grundy,Xerri,Hayes > Oliver,Preuss,M.Rosas
Grundy > Hayes
Rachelle > Cripps
Xerri > Witherden (Via SDK dpp)
Was looking to move on Whitfield however due to all the carnage this week, plus hewett going down I need numbers playing. Having faith in Hayes at R2. (Gawn R1)
Thoughts appreciated!
Hewett now out, absolute carnage. Can see the boost being popular this week.
TIA guys
This whole week I’ve been waiting for the “who to field” section so I could ask which do I play either NOD or SDK but now with Hewett looking like he’s out with calf soreness that answers that question……BOTH
Yep- Hewett out for this week with bruised calf. You watch- start last week with 8 defenders- now down to 6.
Mind you- think I started last week with 6 rucks and now down to 2.
Yep it’s been a brutal week that’s for sure. Hoping for a full 22 this week but the way it’s going who knows!
Some creative DPP and managed to get a full compliment on the field and might be able to loop Rosas over MacDonald if he’s selected
Trades. Out Grundy, Hayes Xerri in Keyes, Cripps, Hayes
Team
Def: crisp, short, Dawson, Ridley Daicos, o Driscoll Bench Chapman, McCartin
Mids: Macrae, Neale, Oliver, Keyes, Miller, Cripps, Will Brodie, JHF, Bench Hewett, Ward, owens
Ruck: Pruess, Hayes, English
Fwd: Dunkley, Butters, Cogs, Martin, SDK, Rosas, Bench MacDonald (looped) and RF Loop
Two and a half Premos on the bench can’t be traded… oh well having a not great season anyway
Revisiting this with Hewett now out
TU: Xerri + JHF/Rachele for Oliver + Rosas
(Go safe, save a boost but cop a donut for a week)
TD: Xerri + Chapman + Rowell for Oliver + Vlastuin + Rosas
(Risk it for the biscuit)
People being punished for picking ‘loopholes’
Good luck all
I think we need a Trade Week III, considering recent carnage and DeGoey uncertainty
Absolutely love your work GD, but I think it’s getting to the point where you may need to if possible get a couple of categories going eg…
Trade talk_
I-Upgrades and cash cows.
II-Injuries and donuts.
Or something to help narrow specific queries.
Ok guys trying to be quick but these injuries and Ridley and Zeibell making it hard to come up with a clear plan. 28 trades 4 boosts $250k
Sicily, Short, Ridley, Zeibell,
NOD, Gibcus (McCartin, DeK)
Mcrae, Neale, Petracca, Parish, Cripps, Coniglio, Daicos, Martin (Rachele,Ward,Erasmus)
Gawn, Grundy (Preuss)
Dunkley, Brodie, Butters, Xerri, JHayes, Rosas (Dixon,Mcentee)
So obviously Grundy to S.Hayes and that gives me about 640k then just not sure where to go there.
TU J.Hayes and Xerri out to a rookies and a Mid Gun via Rachele
TD – same but for a fwd gun
Or comment any thoughts much appreciated still getting my head around it all and don’t have the nuances of Afl SC down yet
640k after Grundy to Hayes should mean that you should be able to get 2 primo upgrades off Xerri and Hayes.
I would look at pushing Cogs and Martin fwd into those empty spots and bringing in 2 Uber primos. 1 mid and the other a mid or defender
Cheers mate, got Oliver and now just trying to decide between Steele or Sinclair up back
As with most, I have some serious carnage to deal with this week in SC 🙂
My query is who to trade out for Oliver – as I have the funds to be able to trade out either of these two:
T/U – trade our MacDonald (Haw) MID / FWD, $183,800 – playing against Melb – average = 43.3, low break even = 24
T/D – trade out Horne Francis $322,200 MID ONLY – playing against Carlton – average = 72.8, high break even = 83
The player that I keep will be used as a loophole EMG on my MID bench – and I can swap them for Caldwell or Rowell if they go really well.
But can’t imagine MacDonald scoring enough to use the loophole 🙁
Which mid should I choose for any price ?
Thinking between:
TU: Neale
TD: Mills
Comments re: Keays/ Laird/ Walsh/ Brayshaw would be appreciated as POD
Current premo mids:
Macrae, Cripps, Steele, Touk, Oliver
De goey and Hoskin Elliot miss training today due to having gastro. Late outs?
May make my decision on Parker or de goey that bit easier
is it a rolling lock out this weekend?
Tu
Touk+dale
Td
Keays+houston
T/U – Houston
T/D – Gresham
Take the risk or play it safe?
TU: Grundy, Rachele and Hayes to S Hayes, Cripps and Parker
Or the gamble..
TD: Grundy, JHF and Hayes to S Hayes, Mills and Rozee
So torn with this dees covid stuff…Grundy to coliver the obvious move, but that limits other trade options and is not r14 bye friendly.
So…out Grundy, Xerri, J Hayes for
T/u S Hayes Oliver Brayshaw (dees dpp) and $400
T/d S Hayes Cripps Pendles (dpp) and $31.3 k
Also looking at Cripps/Libba which avoids covid chaos and friendlier byes.
If you are worried about Clarry then maybe also consider Ben Keays. Has actually outscore Oliver so far (just), Rd13 bye, and cheaper
P.S. say hi to your dad for me 😉
Anyone else thinking Ollie Wines is a buy right now?
535k take out his injury game averages 103 & he wasn’t firing, looks back to fully fit & has the scoring potential to be top 8 mid comfortably.
Actually I will get him next week due to 150 breakeven & go with Touk this week.
