    1. In a 1 v 1 comparison you would always take Merrett over Martin. However I am sure there are other variables at play.
I have 7 premos in midfield compared to 3 in defence. I am going Martin because I don’t really want to complete my midfield until I have bolstered the other lines. Who knows if one of the other uber premos (including Merrett) in mid might have an off week or two and can be picked up at a bargain rate.

Also what does that 60k allow you to do?

      1. Great answer, thanks!
I have 6 in the mids and 4 in defence. My team is reasonably balanced, and I’m sat 2000 overall, but playing for leagues.
My thought process was similar to yours, and use the extra cash for a quicker upgrade down back and use Martin where needed for now.
Still think I’m leaning to Merrett for pure score potential.

    1. Merrett has a softer draw coming up before byes compared to Serong. In the next 7 games he plays Weagles 2x, richmond and North Melbourne.

This means he will probably score at least around the same or better and maintain his price. Byes definitely should be considered as well.

  1. Berry, Khamis, Thomas >> Sweet, Serong, Garcia

    TU: Good Trade
TD: Trade Rozee instead of Thomas >> Martin

  2. Revised trades and looking past value i think paying up for Merret is a must considering his insane draw coming up

    Sharp – Merrett
    Williams – Rogers
    Cadman – Sweet

  3. One needs to go.
Trade Powell or Roberts? To a premium mid.

Powell, lost mid time this week, could get it back. Can sit at maybe F6 till years end.

Roberts, still making cash but won’t be a keeper down the track.

  4. Get sweet in at R2 (for grundy) allowing Powell to become Tom Green and Sharp to become Merrett

    TU- DO IT!

TD- Be a little more patient and just get sweet to make cash

    44

    6
  5. Trade Marshall to sweet and get English later on?

TU – yes go for it
TD – waste of a trade, Marshall will come good

    41

    3
  6. Which is better

    OUT Powell, Cadman
IN Sweet (will be R2), Dawson/Martin

    OR

    OUT Powell, Z Williams
IN Sweet, Merrett. (Still holding Steele)

    2

    20
  7. Is it worth using my last boost to switch Steele to Merrett

TU yes do it, get Merrett in straight away
TD no don’t, save the boost, they are like gold

    4

    39
  8. Out Dempsey Powell Grundy
    In Merrett T Green Sweet
    TU Do it
Td keep Grundy Trade Livingstone and would only be able to afford one of merrett or green

    20

    2
  9. I can afford either:

    T/U: Dale/McGrath & $620k+ mid (Rowell/Serong/Merrett)
    T/D: Whitfield & <$600k mid (Petracca/Miller/Gulden, etc)

    11

    6
  10. At this rate Sweet will be the most traded in player in history!

I’m falling badly down my league ladders and need to turn things around ASAP.

    I’m doing the following:

    Marshall to Sweet
    Lazarro to R.Garcia
    Draper to Aleer

Which leave me over $300 for upgrades next week.

    T/U – good moves
    T/D – bad moves

    2

    29
    1. I’m not sure if you’re math is right, isn’t the Marshall to sweet downgrade close 400k alone? And the other two are another 200k?

      2

      0
  11. TU: conservative and go Lohmann, Sharp to Sweet & McKay

TD: burn trades Lohmann, Sharp, D’Am to Sweet, Rogers and Zerret/Serong

    Thanks SCT community.

    2

    21
    1. Imo, the third trades worth it to ensure an Uber premo, and as a side benefit you get the both super cash cows this week. Seems worth the extra trade.

  12. Need to deal with marshall and want to get to gawn sooner or later. Could do:

Tu: dempsey and Romo -> gawn and sweet (r3) 180k itb

Td: dempsey and Romo -> sweet (r2) and any other premo 300kish itb

Comments on which premo might be better value right now rather than paying full price for gawn.

    9

  13. Considering Nic Martin or Tom Stewart.
Can Martin outscore or average within a couple of points of Stewart for remainder of season?
    Thanks

    7
    1. As a bombers man, lots of love for Parish!

Great price, he’s finally showing some form and certainly knows how to find the pill …. but often doesn’t use it well so you have to ride his DE rollercoaster.

I’m tempted but there could be better options.

      3

      1
      1. I have 2 options this week

        $321k ITB

I want to trade in Sharp and Sanders for…

        TU – 1 x Premo & 1 x rookie
        TD – 2 x $420kish solids

        Thanks!

    2. Only the 68% TOG last week. Wouldn’t bother.

Plenty of top line MIDs at good prices at the moment and over the coming weeks. Would play the MIDs pure and take value elsewhere.

      5

  14. Which would you prefer? Trade outs will be Sexton, Cadman & Powell.

TU : IN – Sweet, Serong & McAuliffe (if named)

TD: IN – Sweet, T Miller & J Rogers (if named)

    3

    15
  15. DEF Diacos, Sheezel, Stewart, Houston, Roberts, Clohesy (Brown, Reid)
MID Bont, Petracca, Steele, Butters, Serong, Reid, Graham, Wilson (Sharp, Garcia, Sanders)
    RUC English, Gawn (Livingstone)
FWD Heeney, Flanders, Powell, Berry, Darcy, Cadman (Nyoun, Burgess)
    Only $3k in the bank

TU : (Big upgrade but no FWD bench cover with Livingstone to F7)
OUT – Sanders, Tom Berry, Sharp
IN – Tom Green, Sweet, Rogers
    $~30k left

TD (Dud cleanout, better fwd / dpp balance but no Green yet) :
    OUT – Powell, Sanders, Livingstone
    IN – Macrae, Sweet, Rogers
    $~30k left

    14

    1
  16. TU: Merrett & Stewart
    TD: Martin and Ryan

A simple sum of their combines averages continuing for the rest of the season says TD but it’s never that simple, is it?

    22

    2
  17. I am considering the below trades

    Cadman/Sanders/Dempsey to Sweet/Rogers/T Green
which leaves 26 trades, 2 boosts, $15600 ITB and the below team

Sheezel, Naicos, Martin, J Clark, D’Ambrosio, Clohesy (Howes, Reid)
Butters, Serong, Bontempelli, Walsh, T Green, Dawson, Horne-Francis, Roberts (Wilson, Graham, Rogers)
    Gawn, Grundy (Sweet)
Heeney, Flanders, Fyfe, Powell, Reid, Darcy (Garcia, Livingstone)

I will just take the $$ with Sweet and expect (ok I hope) Grundy outscores him

What do we think legends ?

    4

    1
  18. TU: Sharp, Grundy, S. Campbell out >>> Sweet, English, Dale in

TD: Sharp, Cadman out >> N. Martin, Sweet in

  19. This week:
    Buku > Sweet
    Z. Williams > Rogers/Garcia
    Powell > Bont

    Next week:
    Darcy > Jones/Simpson
    Clark > Tom Stewart
(Providing Clark is still out. Gets a dead rookie off my bench too)

This is all by swinging the magnets around via dpp. Thoughts appreciated!

    Tu or Td

    5

    1
  20. Trade out

    TU: Grundy – BE 74
    TD: Marshall – BE 198

Which ever i hold will probably finish R2. Sweet will eventually be gawn or English R1

    3

    20
  21. I don’t see much point in bringing Sweet in just to sit on the bench, when I have cover in the form of Jackson.

Therefore, I courting the idea of trading Grundy out as he’s not proving consistent enough. That frees up a lot of funds to upgrade to Yeo (b) or Serong (m).

Someone talk me out of it!

    11

    2
    1. I am similarly looking at trading Marshall and playing Sweet at R2, with Jackson as the “break glass in case of emergency” get out of jail plan.

I am sure Marshall was carrying a niggle before he hurt his knee last week and I don’t trust him to score well enough to mitigate much of his $ loss with a 198 BE.

This will give me 500k+ to upgrade to an Uber mid like Merrett or Serong.

I think you should do it.

      9

      0
    2. Thats a Pretty standard move this week so no need to talk you out of it. I think ALOT of people are doing a similarif not the exact same move…

Personally I’m trading sexton (via livingstone) -> sweet sit him at R3 with the E. If he goes decent enough Thursday night I’ll trade out Marshall or Grundy and play sweet onfield. If sweet goes horrible I’ll hold both Marshall Grundy and just play sweet R3 going forward.. could you do a similar move?

      Serong over yeo imo.

      15

      1
        1. Just to talk to the negative case, Grundy averaging 108 and you will need 250k to get back to a proper ruck after sweet caps out at 350-400k. And you use two trades. I am probably leaning towards a no.

          2

          0
            1. Just an update on my trade above. If sweet does go horribly I’ll still trade Marshall it’ll just be too English. It’ll probably be the cheapest we’ll get him all season.

I have Grundy Marshall R1&2 . Yuck haha no gawn has hurt

              2

              0
  22. Current trades are Williams and Powell to sweet and serong.

    TU

Boost (currently 2 left) coffield to rogers for more cash gen and clear a dead rookie, clohsey goes to D7 to loop and leaves Z Ried as D8.

    TD

    Save the boost

    10

    7
  23. Is Nic Martin a top 6 Defender? I already have Sheezel, Houston, and Daicos.

Other guys I’m tossing up between are Ryan, Yeo, Stewart, and Whitfield as the final Defender options. There’s a chance Stewart will drop even lower in price which makes him a good option in the coming weeks.

    11

    4
    1. I’d go Stewart in a heartbeat. The way the Dees go forward Stewart could easily go 150+ this week.

      1

  24. Who to trade out for Bont and Sweet (who’ll be stuck at R3 sadly)

    TU: Cadman and Darcy
    TD: Powell and Sexton

Comment: Powell and Cadman (an extra $100k itb)

    5

  25. Random thinkings of my brain…..

21 trades after getting Sweet and Serong.
    9 upgrades needed.
    14 pigs fattening.
3 pigs needed in next few rounds. Enter – Turner, Curtain, Jones! Maybe Reid?

Equals a ‘What I like to call’ a Premo Full Team – Could look like this –

Def – Sheez, Diacos, Martin, Young, Houston, NWM
Mid – Rowell, Butters, Serong, Anderson, Libba, Bont, Green, Dunkley
    Ruc – Gawn, English
For – Heeney, Flanders, Rankine, McKay, Caldwell, Macrae

Not to shabby! But then the SC gods will come crashing down! Wish me luck

  26. Thoughts on:

Marshall, Powell, Williams > Sweet, Green, Merrett

Liking the double premo upgrade but running Sweet at R2 risky?

    TU – Do it
    TD – Rethink it

    14

  27. Is Parish under $500k a great POD. Looked to have got his old mojo back v Pies, and a great run of games coming up. Other trades limit me to under $525k

    TU Yes
    TD No

    8

    3
  28. The way that I see it this week is that I can get Gawn and finally start being unable to watch Melbournes games, or get another top mid in – I would look at forwards but I am yet to be convinced who is top 6 outside of Heeney and Flanders. The one thing I don’t like about Gawn this week is that he is so close to his peak, that the cash could be used better elsewhere.

    Option 1:
    OUT: Powell, Dempsey and Sharp
    IN: Sweet, Gawn and Rogers

    Option 2:
    OUT: Dempsey and Sharp
    IN: Sweet and Rogers
This gives me a very big bank (450k) for a potential double upgrade next week. Or I could add Powell to a Rowell/Dawson (although I still think he is quiet risky)

    My side before trades is:
DEF: Sheezel, Ryan, Daicos, Roberts, MDA, Clohesy (Howes, Reid)
MID: Merrett, Butters, Serong, Bont, Miller, Green, Graham, Wilson/Sharp (Clark, H Garcia)
    RUCK: Grundy, Jackson (Livingstone)
FWD: Heeney, Flanders, Powell, Darcy, Comben, Reid (Dempsey, Cadman)
    ITB: 135k

    3

    2
  29. I’m sure this has been asked already, but out of curiosity:

TU – Bring in Sweet R2 for Grundy
TD – Sweet for R3 via DPP keeping Grundy

    Cheers in advance.

  30. Hi everyone – need some advice on following. Want to bring in Dale and Sweet but at same time wondering whether Powell is worth holding ( if hold would have to do 3 trades to get Dale) and Rogers worth bring in? Therefore options are

T/U Cadmen + Powell for Sweet and Dale (save boost!!)

T/D Cadmen + Comben + Dempsey for Sweet + Rogers + Dale ( hold Powell but use boost)?

Any extra comments would be greatly appreciated

    4

    2
  31. Following on – Is Rogers for a Dempsey/Comben worth using a boost?

T/U Yes – Rogers looks good
T/D No – Dempsey/Comben worth keeping at moment and other rookies to come

    3

    7
  32. Unpopular opinion but I’m jumping off Jack Steele, when he’s 100% he’s a top 6 mid. But he appears to be on one leg now and will start to leak cash quickly. As we saw last year he really struggled when carrying injuries. Respect to him for continuing to play but he’s lucky to be a top 20-30 mid when he’s not right.

Trading Steele also allows me to get Zerrett.

    Trades will be:
    Out: Steele, Powell, Z. WIlliams
    In : Zerrett, Dawson, Sweet

TU – You’re crazy bud, give him another chance at least V North this week!

TD – Yeah good call, done his job, BE of 191 even if he scores 132 he will drop over 30k. Get out now to facilitate Zerrett.

    9

    8
    1. Starting to think the same. Looks sore and I can turn him into Bont. It’s sideways but reckon Steele is cooked.

      3

      0
  33. I’m surprised McKercher isn’t getting much of a mention. I know most of us traded him out for downgrades but he looks good, fieldable and loopable (Not sure those last 2 are words). Take out his injury game and his scoring stands up, esp if you have Roberts, they could role/ loop between D6/7 and M8/9 nicely?

    5

    0
    1. Yeah agreed mate, I think my main concern with him is that he plays for North. There appears to be role changes weekly and a lot of tinkering around with things from Clarko and the other coaches.

I don’t really wanna re-invest knowing that if things aren’t going well for the team which is every week at the moment he could be moved to a half forward role.

He also had 12 kick outs last weekend which wold have made him close to 40 pts. And with him only scoring 100, I think that’s a bit concerning in itself.

So it’s kind like if he keeps this role, I would almost pick him before Sweet this week. But so many unknowns with the roos makes it difficult.

If the coaches had half a brain they should keep him in that role as he was a high draft pick and his body is not ready yet for midfield mins.

      6

      1. Hey Chris, I have to clarify I’m definitely bringing Sweet in, as R3, no loop, just for cash.

My original trades were Powell out for Sweet and Cadman out for Rogers. Left me 396k for any premo next week (although would need to trade a Graham) which would leave me with LDU rocking as M8 and Roberts D6 but my bench was skinny, like Gigi Hadid skinny. With 4 dead rookies.

This way I keep Cadman, lose a Clark can loop Roberts & Mckercher with Graham and Clohesy for a few weeks and hopefully some cash gen but more so guys on field. Plus I just feel McKercher can be one of those dog days of winter players who gets in and scores.

Fingers crossed down back or in the middle, with lots of kick ins 🙂

  35. Pardon my ignorance but how do you swap a ruck
Sweet with a mid only player
    Thanks in advance

    2

    1. Trade a MID out.
M/F in your FWD line to swap to the MID.
R/F in your rucks to shift to the FWD line.
      Trade Sweet into the Ruck.

  36. Trades last week (Sanders & Windsor > Walsh & H.Garcia)
DEF: Sheezel, Houston, Daicos, NWM, Roberts, Clohesy (Reid, Coffield)
MID: Butters, Serong, Bont, Walsh, Steele, LDU, D’Ambrossio, Sharp (D.Wilson, W.Graham, Mannagh)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
    FWDS; Flanders, T.Powell, Reid, S.Darcy, Dempsey, T.Berry (Nyuon, H.Garcia)

TD – Dempsey, Sharp, D’Ambrossio > Sweet (via DPP), Rogers, T.Green, $197,100 ITB

Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated.

  37. Want to get rid of Powell this week . I have a choice of trading Dempsey and Sharp both on their limit or Lyons and Sexton neither playing ridiculously low BE’s if they ever do.
Trade in Sweet Rogers and T. Green
TU Powell Dempsey Sharp ($192K ITB)
TD Powell Lyons Sexton ($47K ITB)
    Thanks

  39. I’m still not convinced re Rozee…..think he has bench e and start Clark hoping he is not named on Thursday. Otherwise its Green who has the nasty early bye.

    1

    0
  40. Trade plans will be determined by Thursday nights game. Went early on Sweet last week so I can pop the E on him and if he does well, I’ll move Jackson forward and bring in Merrett for Powell. Otherwise, if Sweet has a poor game, I’ll still swing Jackson forward and bring in English at his discounted price.

    So Powell/Cadman for either Merrett/Rogers or English/Rogers.

  41. Question:
If I trade Xerri to Sweet and Sweet scores low tomorrow night. Can I change Xerri to another player after that game or is the trade locked as one player has played?

    TU: swapping is fine
    TD: locked

    Thanks all

    6

    1
    1. Only the player that has played is locked; in this case Sweet.

Although, you will need to make room in your team to bring Xerri back in.

  42. Strong Essendon flavour with their upcoming run!

TU – McGrath and Merrett (defensive value potential with Top 8 and bonafide mid premo)

TD – Martin and Stewart or Young (two defenders likely to be confirmed Top 8 from here on)

McGrath averages a flat 85 most years…but something seems different this year has been uber consistent and demonstrated a good ceiling

    2

    4
    1. I’d wait a week on Stewart because I think he slots into D4 next week but think McGrath will make a great D6 (yeah more consistent this year, maybe a better role)

      3

      0
      1. I know he has that high BE definitely on my mind.

I am trading out Marshall for Sweet – to help justify it feel I need to bring in two premos this week .

I like that idea though, if i go with Option 1 i will still be able to get Stewart or Trac next week

        2

  43. Thoughts on this trade?
    Out Z Reid def
    DPP Comben to def bench
    Livingston to fwd bench
    IN Sweet to R3 Emg

Pending Sweet performance, trade out Grundy, Livingston back to R2, h Garcia to fwd bench, trade in Merrett

  44. If i see Simpkin and Phillips out and Steele with strapping on knee before Saturday im thinking

Steele, Grundy, Dempsey to Sweet, Serong, Merrett.

It will mean i have 5 big guns (Merrett, Serong, Butters, Green, Bont) + Walsh in mids and give me $200k inb so i could upgrade Williams to Stewart in 1 trade next week. Ill then keep Powell as F5 for a bit longer

    Tu: Good idea
Td: Hold Steele even if it will mean he blows cash

    7

    1
  45. Is Sharp, Dempsey and Powell to Gawn, Sweet and Rogers worth the boost? I can swap Gawn for a mid, but would have to field Sweet without cover. The thing I like is that Sharp, Dempsey and Powell are all just about maxed out, and will bleed cash in the coming weeks.

TU: Good trades and worthy of a boost
TD: Why waste a boost, only getting 1 premo

    7

  46. Which Option Is Better??
    Currently have 27 Trades / 3 Boosts / 19k ITB

    T/U: 104k Bank
    Grundy -> Sweet
    Steele -> Merrett
    Cadman -> Dawson

  48. Heard Jack Steele didn’t train yesterday. If he is out this week is it as simple as move him on whilst he is 600k? Considering his injury history

    7

    0
    1. He won’t be out mate, he’s tough he just plays through it. Steele at 60-70% is still better than the spuds we have in the VFL (saints fan). He had about 3kg of elastoplast on his knee over the weekend. Even if he plays he’s an obvious trade out imo. I think we can be happy with his output and trade him to whichever of Green, Merrett, Serong, Bont or Rowell that we don’t have.

      1

      0
      1. So are you saying he’s not fully fit and could we potentially could see a lower output similar to last season moving forward with steele? Best to cash in on him at 600k?

        1

        0
  49. My final thoughts on the Sweet thing. To trade him in, and assuming most people will trade out Grundy as it hardly makes sense to be running three playing rucks……

Does it make sense to trade out an all Australian ruckman who is averaging 108 and pumped out a 158 two weeks ago ??
Grundy has 100% JS, Sweet not so…to do the trade will almost certainly be two trades, not one.
Sweet will go up by 91k this week. Garcia and Rogers will go up by 91k between them and can sit on my bench and fatten up without needing to go onfield. Trading Grundy out reduces these and other trade options.
I would like to be as confident of winning tattslotto that over the next 4-5 weeks, Grundy outscores Sweet comfortably
    And finally, Finlayson.

    4

    3
    1. It’s not really all about out scoring, there’s no reason why sweet can’t make 300k within a month. Scored 136 against a premium ruckman, I know Marshall was injured but at 150k it’s to hard to pass

      5

        1. 350k in 4 weeks based on an ave from here of 85
about 410k based on Soldos 94 ave over next 4 weeks
45k in 4 weeks would require an ave of 108 for next for

          ..or something like that

    2. Grundy’s ave is mostly due to 2 games where he scored 139 & 158
He’s failed to top 100 against Pies, Bombers, Hawks and Eagles and he wont be a top 3 ruck this year.
Now is the time to cash out and turn him into a gun like serong/merret/walsh/green et al by trading in sweet and cashing in another bench warmer.

Don’t look at it as 2 trades in the rucks look at it as upgrading a mid pricer to an uber prem for very low $ and turning a bench turd into a cash machine

    3. Why doesn’t it make sense to run 3 playing rucks? I’m running Gawn/Meek/Sweet til one of Meek/Sweet peak in price, cash gen at R3 is supercoach gold.

      2

    4. I’m running Gawn & Grundy with Sweet on the bench purely for the cash !

Oh and if he is still playing when Soldo returns in @ 4 weeks I will keep him for the first 3 bye weeks to cover & Gawn & Grundy’s bye.

Even if he plays forward mainly with Soldo’s return he is still another warm bye body and the points will help more than any value he drops (if he is $400k and averages 60 for those two byes weeks he will not drop massively).

If he is dropped when Soldo returns then I thank him for the cash ! Just my view and how it works for me.

Grundy is a luxury trade IMO so if he is the worst you have on field then good luck to you. Those with Jackson at R2 are the one’s I am jealous of with Sweet as you can have your cake and eat it too.

    TU: grabbing value
TD: look to get an uber premo like serong instead of dawson

      1. Essentially, hold Marshall and have sweet r3, or flick Marshall to a gun in any line and have Sweet either r2/r3

  53. Do I use my last boost to move JHF to a top mid

    Grundy + Sharp –> Sweet + Merrett

    TU: Dont use boost
TD: Get Green/Serong using boost as well

    3

    17
    1. (as an owner) upgrade JHF at some stage for sure, but I’d leave at least till BYE rnds. Kenny looks to have him playing more on-ball so is holding his price … and still has potential to go BANG!!!

  54. I know it been touched on above, however I am warming to Steele- out Bont -in. T1 powell to Sweet is done. T2 pending what Sweet posts. I am trying to convince myself an unfit Steele (made 71k) to The Bont (lost 110k) is not sideways.. i know if it looks like duck, quacks like a duck, its probably a duck. Interested in any feedback. Cheers

    T/U is a Duck. Don’t do

  55. Current trades for the week
    Out: Powell, Dempsey & Sharp
In: Dawson, Dale & C Simpson (unsure of Jones job security with Greene/Daniels to come back)

    TU: Good trades
TD: try and get Sweet (R3) for cash generation (no DPP switches available)

  56. So all 3 of my options got 5 votes so I’ll try again. Who to trade out for Bont and Sweet?

TU: Cadman and one of Darcy/Powell. No bench forwards, Nyoun F6
TD: Powell and Sexton. Nyuon F7 and can loop with Cadman

  57. TU : OUT – Cadman & Sexton, IN – Sweet & Rogers = $197K ITB & 2 boosts

  58. Can’t decide if it’s worth using a boost to get Merrett..

    TU-Sounds good

  60. Do we think Anderson can be a top 8 mid? Has a huge ceiling but also seems to be a tag target

T/U – Bring him in. Top 8 mid potential
T/D – Go for Gulden instead

Other mid upgrade is between Serong & Merrett

  62. Saints fans or anyone for that matter, any insight into Jack Steele and his ‘injury’ he is carrying at the moment?

Currently ranked in the top 100, undecided whether to flick him to one of the big guns or not.

Currently Steele is at 600k with a BE of 190. If I wait a week and it’s another sub ton, he will drop a good 50k.

We all know what his scoring can be like if he is carrying an injury and TOG becomes managed ect, as we all saw last season.

    TU: Flick him to Bont/Rowell
    TD: Hold firm

  63. Currently ranked in the top 100. Very concerned over Jack Steele and his injury past.

    Thinking the following..

    This week:
    Buku > Sweet
    Steele > Bont
    Powell > Stewart

    Next week:
    Z. Williams > rookie
    Roberts > Rowell

Leaves my midfield 7 deep with:
Merrett, Serong, Green, Bont, Butters, Walsh & Rowell.

Yes I know maybe jumping the gun with trading out Steele, but unfortunately if he is carrrying something I don’t think he comes close to being a top 8 mid. At 600k, he becomes an easy flick to Bont. Thoughts appreciated!

  64. Settled on the following trades for this week.

Out – Grundy, Powell & Carroll
In – Sweet, Dawson & Dale

Need to do all the trades before the showdown so cannot bring in Sweet and Dawson and have Sweet as R3 and then trade Grundy if he goes okay.
Thought about rolling with both Grundy and Sweet but the thought of having over $500K sitting on my bench not doing anything didn’t thrill me.
Fingers crossed as currently ranked 1179.

  67. DEF Premos – Sheez, Houston, Daicos and Martin

MID Premos – Butters, Walsh, Bont, Serong, (Steele)

Should I get another premo DEF or MID?

    Thinking Tom Green or Ryan

  68. Bit of a weird one, but I have the opportunity to get Serong this week but already own Jackson and Young, and probably need Ryan at some point too. I don’t think owning 4 premos from the 1 side is ideal so So if you had to own 1 for the remainder of the season, who are you picking?

    TU: Serong

    TD: Ryan

  69. TU – Powell, Sharp and Campbell > Heeney, Rogers and R. Garcia ($82k, 25 trades left)
TD – Powell, Sharp > Rogers and either a not-100% premo forward, or switch Reid back into F4 and bring in another mid premo within $632k, I already have 6 mid premos btw (26 trades left, ITB depends on how I get)

  73. Grundy > Sweet
    Fisher > Caldwell
    Sharp > Serong

Going to wait a week or two to bring in Heeney for Darcy once Heeney’s price goes down considering he might not get as much midfield time now that Parker’s back?

    TU – if it’s a good move
TD – if I should hold off on Caldwell and wait for Heeney and downgrade Fisher to Garcia instead for extra cash

  74. I am so stuck on what to do this weeks trade. I need to bring one of Ryan, Serong or Houston in my team. Only way I can bring of one them is trade Xerri down to Sweet(R2). I am hesitant of letting Xerri go this week, I have a feeling he’ll go big against the Saints.

Sweet wont be ruckibg alone tonight for Port, there is Dixon. If sweet struggles against O’Brien there’s a possibility Dixon will take over or split ruck time with Sweet. There’s also T Marshall who can pinch hit in the ruck if needed.

Uggghhh!! Every other week I would have drop Xerri for Sweet. Why does it have to be this week. The cash gen will be so handy in the next few weeks with Sweet.

My other option is trade Powell for Dawson & Sweet (R3)

    TU:
    Out: Xerri & Comben/Cadman
    In: Serong/Ryan/Houston & Sweet(R2)

    TD:
    Out: Powell & Comber/Cadman
    In: Dawson & Sweet(R3)

  75. I traded Meek in for Grundy a few weeks back as a cash grab and he’s been surprisingly good to this point. I want Sweet for cash generation, but Meek still has a fair bit of earning potential and I think I’ll keep him a bit longer to max out the cash. This means I’ll take a punt on Sweet as R2 over Meek and use DPP to get in a premo on another line.
I’m going to trade out Sharp and Cadman which leaves me $613k for either….
    TU: Houston
    TD: Yeo
Comment: if you think there’s a better option than above.
I plan to bring Stewart in next week and have Sheez, Daicos and Martin as my premos back there currently.
    TIA!

  77. What to do this week?

    TU:
    Powell > Merrett
    Darcy > Sweet
    Lazzaro > Rogers
    40k ITB
Forge ahead with Steele in my side, replenish cash cow stocks and will allow me to pick up Trac or Stewart next week.

    TD:
    Steele > Merrett
    Powell > Serong
    Roberts > Sweet
    30k ITB
Peace of mind with Merrett and Serong in the side and a dodgey Steele out. I’ll almost certainly have to go 2 down next week and consider an upgrade the following week.

    1. I have 2 options this week

      $321k ITB

I want to trade in Sharp and Sanders for…

      TU – 1 x Premo & 1 x rookie
      TD – 2 x $420kish solids

      Thanks!

  78. Holding Steele for now and having bought in Sweet as R3 and Rogers for Sharp and Weddle (yuck!!!) I have just enough cash to use a boost and turn Nyuon into Bont. This would only leave me with one boost after this round though.

T/U – do it. Cop the rash decision to bring Nyuon in and take the fail in order to upgrade now.
T/D – hold that boost and wait a week. Possibly Nyuon comes back and continues to fatten and there are other guys to move on first.
Comment – swap Steele for Bont before Steele bleeds cash.
