Trades this week will most likely hinge on how you intend to play R14; go all out to field 18 or accept a few tactical donuts and play the long game. Will get a poll up on strategy, amount of trades, etc. up asap.
My forwards are Dusty, Hall, Ziebell, and then going to bring in dale and possibly danger so impey is at my f6 im thinking holding as well until a full premo team as looking to have 2 spare trades left over
Is langford a definite lock, only had 2 great scores last 2 weeks, and although mcgraths out, sheils back soon, do we think that effects him at all, or is he still good to go 100+ for the remainder of the year ?
I have $566k in the bank so it’s time to do some shopping.
Out – Poulter, Berry and Heeney.
In – Newcombe – doesn’t seem to rely on possessions to make a score. Should love Tassie.
Langford – improved pure midfield time with McGrath out.
Lyons – looking for consistency of games.
I considered Mitchell but frankly I just don’t rate him or Walsh who I think may tire a little in the second half of the season
I will look to get Pendles after his bye. The bugger would put up a monster score in his last match before the bye but I have been eyeing him of for a couple of weeks but his round 14 bye prevented me trading him in.
Bont will go bigger but probably the first Bulldog to be tagged.
Merret seems to wander around gaining stats like Mitchell but doesn’t seem to hurt the opposition as much. Doesn’t handle a tag well either.
I would go Bont if you have the $’s.
P.s. as captain of the club he seems to lift when his team needs him.
Doh!!
With Parish going so well Merrett does become more attractive but I sort of put him in the same category as Mitchell.
Bont is very expensive but agree he is an uber premo this year.
Just trying to stretch my $’s as far as possible as I currently have Reeves at R2 and Treacy R3 with CCJ in the forward line so may need to splash the cash on a more established R2.
The plan was to trade out Treacy but he has suddenly come to life during the byes.
Anyway, supercoach 2021 has been a constant example of choosing wrong options (even though they seem perfectly logical at the time).
2 weeks in a row Heeneys score has dropped out of my team score.
You just can’t have that from a supposed premo.
From memory Longmire said he is a week to week proposition so obviously playing injured IMHO.
I have dumped him this week
I’m waiting a week to turn him to Danger. Danger should lose another 30k this week and then be around 510K and Heeney won’t lost money I’ve this bye weekend.
I’m not too fussed about fielding 18 this week and had always planned on ditching Heeney at his bye.
392k in the bank! Not sure what to do, any help would mean a lot! Thanks lads
Def – laird, mills, Stewart, Daniel, Ridley, jones ( Murphy, bianco)
Mid – bont, Oliver, macrae, Steele, Merrett, Taranto, Cripps, poulter ( berry, brockman, Newcombe)
Rucks – grundy gawn (reeves)
For – zorko, hall, zieball, dusty, weightman, ccj (waterman, mccreery)
Jones should be ripe to trade out next week so you can make a last defence upgrade.
This week I’d trade out Poulter, Berry and one of Waterman/McCreery to 1 or 2 fallen premos and 1 rookie. You should be able to get 2 premos between 500-550k and 1 rookie.
OR if you wanna get Jones to a premo next round then perhaps just bring in the 1 premo this week and do 2 downgrades.
You’re in a good spot though, good premos + $$ in the bank and cash cows close to maxing out. Assuming you’ve got trades up your sleeve you should end up with a solid team.
Yeah tempting. Was it the legendary As or FD that wrote that great article about reverting to averages ? In Parish case, he can be given some slack cause of his changed roles, but I wouldn’t be trading him in expecting his recent form to continue as is.
As you can see I’m still screwed. Powell will probably go to Newcombe, Heeney to Langford/Zorko, Aliir to Stewart maybe. Don’t want to sideways trade 2 much before I’ve got a full premo team.
Great time to get Parish and Thilthorpe/Poulter have a bye but are coming off big scores.
Also will Guthrie play?
Cheers
Playing on a solid CBA load even before McGrath went down; behind Zerrett and Parish but ahead of McGrath. So Shiel coming back shouldn’t change their MID dynamic.
Finishes Top 6 (pretty much) from here on out imo.
Been closely watching him for years. He is the real deal. Just may have bolted as regards this year in costing a trade, but he’s a starter 2022. Best set kick for goal at Tullamarine.
This year is no different than other years…things go wrong..players get injured..players throw up crazy 2 round averages and go back to 65 averages. The only exception this year was 1 game messing with our byes. And everyone is affected .
I’m a 10 year veteran of supercoach…daily user of this site..and regular top 1000 player.
Everyone just relax and don’t sideways..I can’t believe I read someone trading Oliver for a bye round!!! Most insane thing I’ve ever read.
90% of the time this would be a no brainer for me and i’d just get Jelly in, but I have a fair few suspect premos in my team that havent been doing too well (Ridley, Short, Brayshaw, Taranto, Impey). I reckon a Bont trade in would give me better C potential, and a slightly higher ceiling even though he might be a bit overs.
After this trade all I have left is to bring in Dangerfield next week or the week after and my team is done with 6 (or 7) trades left.
Before trades, and assuming all my rookies are named (Waterman, Weightman, Jones, Newcombe, and Rosas), I’ll have 15 for Round 14. My original plan was to sideways Short to a premo on a different line after I brought in Whitfield as a 7th defender. Of course, Short tons up, Whitfield doesn’t and now a few $k’s short of doing the exact trades I’d planned.
T/U – The obvious move is Poulter, Byrnes and McCreery to Merrett, Jelly, and a DPP rookie/donut-like object that I haven’t had all season. Gets me to 17 for Round 14.
T/D – The other move is to do the above plus either Short or Zorko for a similarly priced premo. Which gets me to 18 but is maybe a waste of a trade, as I’m not getting an uber premo for either of them.
Short =Langford. money wise. if you have lots of trades left that seems like a good move and if it all goes badly you might be able to do a rookie upgrade for another premo mid/Fwd and make Langford M9
Hi All,
Last week I downgraded Flynn > Reeves, RCD > Whitfield (Via DPP with Bianco) and thinking of going Rowe > J.Kelly (via DDP with Poulter).
Any other trade advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I have 13 trades left, $95,000 ITB
This is what my team looks currently, I will have 13 (14 if Reeves plays but doesn’t look likely)
DEF: Laird (BYE), Lloyd (BYE), Mills (BYE), Stewart, Whitfield, Short (BYE)(Kosi, L.Jones)
MID: Oliver (BYE), Macrae , Jelly , ZMerrett , Walsh , Titch , Jordon (BYE), Bianco (BYE) (Byrnes , Brockman, Downie)
RUC: Gawn (BYE), Reeves (Grundy)
FWD: Ziebell, Martin (BYE), Impey , Poulter (BYE), Madden, Treacy (BYE)(Weightman, Waterman)
Cheers!!
Really Low on trades. So i have to be really careful.
Thinking about Lachie Neale for my final mid.
Current mids
Oliver, Mcrae, Lyons, Steel,Laird, Walsh, Taranto
I’d love Bont/Parish but won’t be able to afford them.
TU: Trade him in at 575k he might hit his 161 BE vs North this week
TD: Wait another week and cop a donut (16 playing)
Comment: You don’t need Neal. Just bring in Zerret.
Current premos in my midfield are Oliver, Macrae, Steele, Merrett, Mitchell, Duncan and Cripps. Want to get Lyons and Hall in but I’m unsure of which trades should be done. Thinking of going Berry to Newcombe and Murphy to a MID rookie via DPP (e.g. Luke Edwards – $117k). Then I’m going to trade Jordon and Poulter which leaves me with $1,130,200 to get in two premos.
If I trade Murphy to Edwards and get Hall, I have $599k to get a premo MID, which I’m thinking could be Walsh, which leaves me with $40k
If I trade Murphy to a $102k rookie like Bramble, then I can get Lyons instead which leaves me with $1.1k.
Should I get Walsh and hope Lyons drops in price and trade Cripps to him later if I get the chance? Will have 8 trades left after making these ones and still need to get two more premos to be full premo.
It’s a tough one, really depends on how cash gen is going and if there is enough to complete your team.
I would personally go Walsh because he is better value imo and could easily average 115-120 from now, and Edwards may let you do another luxury trade if needed later in the season.
Cheers for the reply! I currently have Jones and Highmore in DEF and one will be upgraded. In my MIDs I have Bianco and will bring in Newcombe who hopefully continues to play. Ruck I have Reeves who looks unlikely to come back now and up FWD I have McCreery, Coleman-Jones and Waterman, and one of them will be upgraded.
So I still have some players to make cash but I’m also feeling Walsh would be the better option at this stage. Playing GWS next so hoping De Boer doesn’t go to him!
Currently got 17 players after 3 trades this week (Byrnes, Jordon & Poulter to Walsh, Merrett & Newcombe). Can get to 18 with a fourth trade but thinking of saving it as 16 should be enough and my matchups this week are looking at 12 or 13 before trades.
TU: Kozi To R.Gray Via Dpp only have 471K for a F6
Foward line is Hall, Zibell, T.Greene, Impey, Dusty
With CCJ and Weightman on the pine.
(R.Gray 3rd ave 109. 5rd ave of 94.8. Easy draw for rest of the season and a POD)
TD: Brayshaw for Bont as a M8 Upgrade
(Loophole Weightman and CCJ score as F6) with brockman as the loophole.
I’ve got 14 players scoring this round (possibly 15 if Reeves gets on the park) is that about average? How many will be competitive this round? Good luck all
Rowe has to go this week , could not get rid of him previously, who to bring in. Would have liked Parish or Miller but not enough $$$ as yet.
T/U Zerrett
T/D Hall
Hi All ! Missed the Hawks game over the weekend & would really appreciate some clarity on whether Impy has had a roll change or just in a score slump ?
If its the former, I’m seriously thinking of giving him the flick as a potential loss of 64k in 3 games is hard to cop …….& especially given the forward line needs attention.
Cheers Coaches
I’ve stuck with DeGoey through the bad times thinking he would come good at the business end of the season and now he gets suspended and won’t be around for 2 crucial weeks. More frustrating was the injury and sub vest for Murphy that has left me 15k short of all my trade plans for this week.
TU: Stick with DeGoey
TD: Trade him to Greene but then not have enough cash to bring in Bolton the week after…
P.S I can’t see any forward cheaper than Greene that I would want near my completed team. Let me know if you can see something I can’t…
Rozee’s only tonned up once this year and Riccardi can’t break into his team so both seem super risky. I know Heeney is frustrating and Poulter’s a rookie but seems like you’re getting rid of 2 players that are both better than at least one of the options.
With Heeney being made out of cotton wool & putting up 50’s plus on his bye thinking an upgrade to hall or Langford is a must do for me this week. Hall has been a gun & Langford has been great with more midfield time, will continue to score.
Riccardi just kicked 6 in the seconds and should come back in. Poulter has done his job for me in making $ and with his bye it’s time to go, so I can field a full 18 this week! I feel Rozee has the same consistency/risk as Heeney, just not sure who will score more for the rest of the year Hall or Langford?
Oh don’t get me wrong, I was watching that game and loved what Riccardi was doing. Even Rozee is great but I don’t love either as keepers which they kinda have to be now but I get it and fielding 18 this week would be very impressive.
Out: Jordan, Poulter and Campbell
IN: Langford, Dixon and Newcombe.
Leaves me with 17 playing (18 if Reeves gets on the ground)
Following this trade i have 21 Premo’s. 4 trades left and still some good rookies on the bench as cover. (Weighman, DevRob, Thilthorpe, Cox)
Biggest issue in Def with Bowes and Riddley just bleeding cash and mediocre scores but need to save trades for injuries so hopefully they turn some things around
Will have 8 trades left after making 4 this week and still need to get 2 more premos to get to full premo. Current midfield is Oliver, Macrae, Steele, Merrett, Mitchell, Duncan and Cripps. Already trading Poulter to Hall, so who do I trade Jordon to?
I only have 8 trades left with 2 premiums to get in, plus Heeney.
Should I get in Langford and Greene, using 2 downgrades to get me there as well as Heeney, leaving me with just 4 trades and an upgrade to go. I have to find a way to get in 18 players this week, without messing up the rest of the season.
I just tried replying but it was playing up, let’s see if this works:
You have about 4 upgrades to do and 11 trades left so you should look to trade out guys like Daniher and Poulter this round, as well as Weightman and/or Waterman either now or within the next 2 weeks (I suspect Waterman will get dropped this week if Wright is fit).
So if you go Daniher, Poulter, Waterman and/or Weightman out this week you should be able to get 2 premos and 1 or 2 rookies accordingly. That way you’re left with 2 upgrades to do with 7/8 trades left. You’ll have some short term pain because you’re trading out guys playing this week, but you’re better off in the long run.
You’ll have to trade out Murphy as well as Waterman, Daniher and Poulter possibly to get 2 premos in. No need to trade Weightman since he’s an onfield player.
If you trade out Murphy (so 4 trades this week) you can get 2 semi-premo players between 450-500k such as Langford, Dixon, Gray, Greene, J Cameron, Ellis, Parfitt, Simpkin. Out of those I’d suggest Greene and Ellis or Simpkin if the $$ allows it. Otherwise you could look at a Greene Langford combo or even Cripps if you think he’s turned it around.
However you could also do 2 or 3 downgrades and get 1 uber premo – you’d be able to afford any mid premo if I’ve done the right maths regardless of whether you trade Murphy or not this week.
10 trades left, 5 rookies on field + Aliir and Heeney.
TU: Aliir, McNeil, Heeney -> Stewart, Newcombe, Langford. Will get Aliir out at some point and should jump on Langford while he’s cheap.
TD: McNeil, Heeney -> Stewart, Newcombe. Save Aliir as a luxury trade as trading him now probably only leaves me with 2 trades in finals.
Cheers.
I think you need to keep Heeney and Aliir as you still have another 5 upgrades to make with only 10 trades you are not going to be able to complete your side if you trade the likes of these guys out.
One down one up x 5 = zero trades left (if you are lucky) before you even consider upgrading these guys IMO ! Good luck
Any chance Clarko plays all 3 of Big boy, Ceglar and Reeves? Just optimistic based on last year where he played McEvoy as a tall defender so could he use him again as a permanent tall forward or back?
TU: No chance – a valuable trade used on Reeves last week has been burnt (for now)
TD: Yes there is still hope for this week..
Currently have 13 playing this week and my cash league opponent has 16 so I am laying down my sword for the week and looking at the big picture.
Kozzie to Newcombe and Weightman to Parish still only gives me 13 this week, but gives me this side
Stewart, Laird, Whitfield, Ridley, Short, May (Jones, Sharp)
Oliver, Macrae, Steele, Parish, Walsh, Kelly, Brayshaw, Hunter (Newcombe, Holmes, Bianco)
Gawn, Grundy (Reeves)
Ziebell, Martin, Sidebottom, Langford, Pepper-Powell, Poulter (Coleman-Jones, Treacy)
5 trades left, 1 upgrade to go
Keeping Poulter and Bianco gives me DPP overlappers (is that a word) with Jones, Newcombe and Coleman-Jones/Treacy. Hopefully Reeves plays very soon to make some cash for last upgrade.
TU
Jordan, McCreary, Brockman
> Bont, Parish, Newcombe
Leaves me 11 trades, 4 upgrades to go. Still having Robertson, Poulter, Bianco, Jones, Waterman, Weightman, CCJ, Reeves, Madden for cash. Although id love to keep Jordan as my last trade
I reckon it’s because it’s hard to split them – I brought in Touk last week and am looking at Lyons this week (I’m tempted to go Bont but the extra $ will be helpful for picking up some fallen premiums post-byes).
Defence complete, need 1 Premo mid (eyeing off Duncan once he bottoms out)
Current fwd line:
Zorko, Dale, Ziebell, Martin, Bolton, Weightman, CCJ & McCreery
I can’t get to Hall without using 3 trades so currently thinking McNeil & Poulter out, Langford & Newcombe in (and later will use Langfords DPP to swing forwards)
TU: Bring in Langford now
TD: Wait until I can afford Hall (or potentially Danger)
Hi All,
Last week my trades were Flynn > Reeves, RCD > Whitfield (Via DPP with Bianco) and Rowe > J.Kelly (via DDP with Poulter).
Haven’t got a clue this week so any trade advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I have 13 trades left, $95,000 ITB
This is what my team looks currently, I will have 13 (14 if Reeves plays but doesn’t look likely)
DEF: Laird (BYE), Lloyd (BYE), Mills (BYE), Stewart, Whitfield, Short (BYE)(Kosi, L.Jones)
MID: Oliver (BYE), Macrae , Jelly , ZMerrett , Walsh , Titch , Jordon (BYE), Bianco (BYE) (Byrnes , Brockman, Downie)
RUC: Gawn (BYE), Reeves (Grundy)
FWD: Ziebell, Martin (BYE), Impey , Poulter (BYE), Madden, Treacy (BYE)(Weightman, Waterman)
Cheers!!
I would think there is 5 in your midfield you could play with.
Wines plays this week. L. Stewart doesn’t but there isn’t too many other rookies about. Maybe you might have to take a gamble on a $102K rookie (hopefully named this week) to have one more upgrade this week who is playing. 13 trades isn’t too bad. 13 or 14 on the field this week means going backwards in a hurry.
No sorry I forgot to include him in my first thoughts. Definitly go with after last weeks score. Your problem is finding the 2 players for 1 mill. You might have to include Langford who I don’t like personally.
1 mil means you could do a combination of Langford, Greene, Hind, Tomahawk, Hall and Boak.
Otherwise you could save a trade and do Byrnes, Poulter and Jordon out for Newcombe, Houston (swing Laird to the mids) and then anyone up to 544 which would allow for any of the above.
I really like Boak and Houston this week and there’s something about having good players on a good team so if you were to do the 3 trades, that’s where I’d go.
Your forward line is a bit weak though so the 4 trades is intriguing and bringing in Langford and Hall could be a great fix for that.
Ooh actually, just realised you could do Langford and Greene in with the 3 trade option so maybe that’s the way to go to boost the forward line and save that fourth trade.
Moore and Waterman being out changed my initial plans.
Out: Moore, Heeney, McCreery, Waterman
In: Walsh, Whitfield, Newcombe, Briggs
Leaves me with $75k itb and 8 trades, only 3 rookies left onfield. Only concern is Briggs JS, is there any better downgrade options that’s a warm body this week?
Next week I plan to make 1 downgrade (to Edwards if named) and 1 upgrade. My fear is that both Reeves and Luke Edwards are named meaning I would delay my much needed upgrade by a week.
Should I pull the trigger early on Edwards?
Also can anyone clarify parish’s ‘role change’ in round 6
Ive heard people say thats when his role changed but his CBA attendances were pretty consistent prior to round 6 as well so any clarification would be great!
“Looking back at the start of the year, the Bombers seemingly had midfield depth. Dylan Shiel, new recruit Jye Caldwell, Andrew McGrath and Zach Merrett were developing connections. Devon Smith and Jake Stringer were doing on-ball shifts. Parish, again, was filling out a role across half forward. But once the flood of injuries came to Shiel and Caldwell – and now McGrath – Parish got his opportunity. And hasn’t looked back.”
TU: Poulter to Langford
OR
TD: Jordan to Hall/Hawkins
Can’t quite afford Poulter to Hall/Hawkins without doing 2 trades where the 2nd trade is a downgrade and I already have Newcombe & Madden. I don’t like
the job security of Briggs, and Bramble & Durham both on extended bench.
TU: risk Hall with already poor injury history and now mcdonald back potentially complicating his kick ins
TD: bailey dale (over priced alot thanks to that 150, but guaranteed 90+ rest of the szn
Note: have zeibs zorko dusty impey
– One spot reserved for a cheap dangerfield
So onky one spot left (bar a luxury impey upgrase later on)
Avoid Ridley. pay for one of Stuart, Docherty, Rich or maybe even Harris Andrews or Scrimshaw for a POD. Ridley hasn’t been the same since Heppel took his role
Can anyone help me ?? Dad has been wandering around the house for days now repeating “Nick Haynes” over and over and it is doing my head in.
I’m thinking only a new shipment of a dozen mixed Grange will shut him up.
I could go early on L Edwards (trade N Murphy out) to upgrade Heeney to Hall/Hawkins/Dale (don’t trust Langford to maintain this scoring). Would leave me with 3 upgrades remaining and 7 trades…
Most of those are fine but Daniher to either Cameron or Dixon just isn’t worth it imo. You could trade out the 3 rookies and only pick up one of Cameron or Dixon and save that 4th trade
For most of the week, I’ve been pretty focused on getting Merrett into my final mid spot. However, I’ve started thinking about bringing Lyons in instead. I’ve got 2 more spots in my fwd line, and Merrett would see me with 114k in the bank. What do we think?
Both options get me to 16 on field and 2 upgrades to finish my team. Just not sure whether to complete my mids without Bont or prioritize getting Danger and Bolton in the forward line.
Trades this week will most likely hinge on how you intend to play R14; go all out to field 18 or accept a few tactical donuts and play the long game. Will get a poll up on strategy, amount of trades, etc. up asap.
Yeah, I’m just going for long term, 9 or 10 players playing this week (Haha)!
You’re obviously playing for leagues only coz you’ll drop 10,000 ranking positions with only 10 on the park this week
GD…I’ve been busy last few days..how did our head to head go…you were very confident ??
What do we do with impey hold him at f6 or is a fake premo now?
TU trade
TD hold at f6
At a minimum, hold him through R14 as he’s a warm body.
After that, if you’ve got the trades and are at full premo, then you can flick him to a “better”FWD. But who really is there?
Assuming you’ve got Ziebell and Martin, then only Hall and Langford are locks to put Impey away OA. Tricky one.
I agree GD
You can throw Dale in to those names, and Bolton ( Bye )
I’m holding Impey for now.
Langford comes in.
Oh, yes. Completely forgot about Bolton and Dale, absolutely.
My forwards are Dusty, Hall, Ziebell, and then going to bring in dale and possibly danger so impey is at my f6 im thinking holding as well until a full premo team as looking to have 2 spare trades left over
Dale ?
Bailey Dale, Wighty
Is langford a definite lock, only had 2 great scores last 2 weeks, and although mcgraths out, sheils back soon, do we think that effects him at all, or is he still good to go 100+ for the remainder of the year ?
Cameron?
No way Langford is a lock he only ave 77 for the first 9 games and hasn’t had a role change, he’s the epitome of the supercoach trap
Is Jordan a hold through his bye?
I was going to trade him but he’s going to be the best m9 cover now methinks.
Yeah tough to trade him out but I’d rather my m9 be dpp.
Bont or merret shaggy?
Bont will go bigger but probably the first Bulldog to be tagged.
Merret seems to wander around gaining stats like Mitchell but doesn’t seem to hurt the opposition as much. Doesn’t handle a tag well either.
I would go Bont if you have the $’s.
P.s. as captain of the club he seems to lift when his team needs him.
I think Tom was recommending one of those two to you, Shaggi.
Both

Anyway, supercoach 2021 has been a constant example of choosing wrong options (even though they seem perfectly logical at the time).
does heeney have to go.
I don’t like trading out premos before my team is complete, but to be honest, he isn’t putting up premo numbers.
he has his bye this week so it is a good time to trade him.
TU: TRADE
TD: NO TRADE
2 weeks in a row Heeneys score has dropped out of my team score.
You just can’t have that from a supposed premo.
From memory Longmire said he is a week to week proposition so obviously playing injured IMHO.
I have dumped him this week
Heeney premo ?
Point taken. A fallen premium perhaps.
I’m waiting a week to turn him to Danger. Danger should lose another 30k this week and then be around 510K and Heeney won’t lost money I’ve this bye weekend.
I’m not too fussed about fielding 18 this week and had always planned on ditching Heeney at his bye.
thoughts on Pendles?
Tadpole on the way to being a frog who just happened to have a good game. Avoid.
Only if he’s playing Melbourne every week
His 167 on the weekend came from the SCG…
Poulter -> Newcombe & Heeney -> Bont (All lines complete when I sideways Cripps to Danger next week and bring Grundy back in round 16)
Looking at 4 trades left at full premo!
TU: Boak
TD: Titch
Jordan, poulter and weighman—> bont, Langford and newcombe.
Tu- do it
Td- let the rookies fatten up a bit and wait a couple weeks
maybe a sidegrade for parish who has a 3 round average of 151!
Yeah tempting. Was it the legendary As or FD that wrote that great article about reverting to averages ? In Parish case, he can be given some slack cause of his changed roles, but I wouldn’t be trading him in expecting his recent form to continue as is.
Mills + Taranto
or
Titch + Taranto
or
Petracca + Boak
Mills Taranto
Got be the combo without the R14 bye, Titch and Taranto (even though I don’t really like either as Top 8 picks).
Trades: 10
69k ITB
DEF
Laird, Lloyd, Whitfield, Short, Aliir, Jones (Madden, Walker (NM))
MID
Bont, Satan, Macrae (WB), Steele, Guthrie, Walsh, Trac, Powell (McNeil, Bianco, Fyfe (GC))
FWD
Hall, Ziebell, Heeney, Thilthorpe, CCJ, Poulter (Waterman, Henry)
As you can see I’m still screwed. Powell will probably go to Newcombe, Heeney to Langford/Zorko, Aliir to Stewart maybe. Don’t want to sideways trade 2 much before I’ve got a full premo team.
Great time to get Parish and Thilthorpe/Poulter have a bye but are coming off big scores.
Also will Guthrie play?
Cheers
Chris Scott confirmed prior to rd 13 that Guthrie would play round 14.
Just failed to come up for round 13.
cheers mate
LMAO…we believe Chris Scott ???
thoughts on langford. New mid role. 3 rd average of 117. Cant be ignored
Yep, can’t be ignored. Exactly right, Sloany.
Playing on a solid CBA load even before McGrath went down; behind Zerrett and Parish but ahead of McGrath. So Shiel coming back shouldn’t change their MID dynamic.
Finishes Top 6 (pretty much) from here on out imo.
Ignore..it’s flash in the pan..no steak
Exactly…..why not Steele, Gawn, Laird and others as well…we have 4 trades !!
T/u – Parish and Langford
T/d – Steele and Dale
Thoughts on getting Luke Edwards next week if he’s selected?
Like it, but I think he is bench warming for Shuey.
TU Rich
TD Boak
Need a bit of help with this one.
TU Poulter -> Jelly
TD Poulter, Weightman -> Bont, Newcombe (if named)
90% of the time this would be a no brainer for me and i’d just get Jelly in, but I have a fair few suspect premos in my team that havent been doing too well (Ridley, Short, Brayshaw, Taranto, Impey). I reckon a Bont trade in would give me better C potential, and a slightly higher ceiling even though he might be a bit overs.
After this trade all I have left is to bring in Dangerfield next week or the week after and my team is done with 6 (or 7) trades left.
Kelly or Walsh for M8?
ha ha
TU – Walsh
TD – Titch
Upgrade Poulter to:
TU: Parish
TD: Jelly
Comment: Lyons
Which gets me to 18 but is maybe a waste of a trade, as I’m not getting an uber premo for either of them.
depends on how many trades you have left.
Short =Langford. money wise. if you have lots of trades left that seems like a good move and if it all goes badly you might be able to do a rookie upgrade for another premo mid/Fwd and make Langford M9
Yep, that’s what I was looking at or Toby Green. 11 trades left, so definitely some wiggle room.
Poulter to:
TU: Walsh via Zorko DPP
TD: Hall
Aliir -> Stewart or wait until full premo team?
The byes have had their way with me again this year. One day, I’ll figure out how to get through these three weeks without torching my ranking
Jordon, Poulter and Heeney out
Newcombe and a couple of premiums in
Have 1.15 mill to spend on the two upgrades, need a bit more time to think about who they might be
Poulter- Reeves via CCJ
Jones – Boak via Laird
Midfield & Defence complete 1 upgrade to go up forward 6 trades left
I already have Newcombe 😛
Thoughts?
Out: Heeney, RCD, Murphy
In: Jelly, Newcombe, Holmes (if named)
Cheers

Comment: Bolton after bye
TU: Cerra & Poulter -> Bont & Newcombe (17 rd14 – 8 trades – 20 premos)
TD: Cerra, Poulter, Berry, Weightman -> Danger, Jelly, Newcombe, Callow (18 rd14 – 6 trades – 21 premos)
How needed is Bont?
TU: Hall
TD: Dale
Hi All,
Last week I downgraded Flynn > Reeves, RCD > Whitfield (Via DPP with Bianco) and thinking of going Rowe > J.Kelly (via DDP with Poulter).
Any other trade advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I have 13 trades left, $95,000 ITB
This is what my team looks currently, I will have 13 (14 if Reeves plays but doesn’t look likely)
DEF: Laird (BYE), Lloyd (BYE), Mills (BYE), Stewart, Whitfield, Short (BYE)(Kosi, L.Jones)
MID: Oliver (BYE), Macrae , Jelly , ZMerrett , Walsh , Titch , Jordon (BYE), Bianco (BYE) (Byrnes , Brockman, Downie)
RUC: Gawn (BYE), Reeves (Grundy)
FWD: Ziebell, Martin (BYE), Impey , Poulter (BYE), Madden, Treacy (BYE)(Weightman, Waterman)
Cheers!!
Jordan, Byrnes and Poulter for Newcombe + 2 Premo’s
Any recommendations? Once I get newcombe, I will have $959,600 to spend on two players
Was gonna say Langford + Charlie Dixon however you are $300 short.
Maybe do a 4th trade. Cash out Brockman (Edwards? Wont help you with the bye but will with cash gen)
Leaves you 3 primo’s short but with 9 trades and good cash gen you should get there soon.
TU: Brockman>Bont, since other premos arent fattened
TD: Kill Poulter, McCreary, Jordan and grab an extra premo or two
Also send thoughts and prayers for Highmore>Bianco and Flynn>Reeves last week
Tu- bont and Langford
Td- Lyons and Dale
Poulter > Bont
Brynes > Newcombe
Heeney> Hall.
These trades will give me 18 players
If Reeves gets a game. 10 trades left,
65k , 2 upgrades left.
Tu: good trades spend the extra
money to get Bont in as the last mid.
Td: look for a cheaper value pick.
I’d wait until Neale shows some good consistent scores (2 tonnes, for example) before bringing him in.
TU: Lyons
TD: Bont
Obviously Bont has a higher ceiling, but also 65k more expensive.
Team almost finished with ten trades left, excluding some sidewaysing of Jiath/Cripps
Tu- Titch
Td- Cunnington
For m7
Tu- Titch
Td- Walsh
T/up – Lyons
T/down – Walsh
Luxury trade brayshaw(Freo) to jelly?
Thats what i did this week. Honestly if you have the trades and are short for this week, I dont think its a bad idea.
But i have been burnt before
Currently got 17 players after 3 trades this week (Byrnes, Jordon & Poulter to Walsh, Merrett & Newcombe). Can get to 18 with a fourth trade but thinking of saving it as 16 should be enough and my matchups this week are looking at 12 or 13 before trades.
TU: Save the trade
TD: Use it
Comment: trade options
TU: Heeney to Greene
TD: Brayshaw to Boak
Neither
TU: Kozi To R.Gray Via Dpp only have 471K for a F6
Foward line is Hall, Zibell, T.Greene, Impey, Dusty
With CCJ and Weightman on the pine.
(R.Gray 3rd ave 109. 5rd ave of 94.8. Easy draw for rest of the season and a POD)
TD: Brayshaw for Bont as a M8 Upgrade
(Loophole Weightman and CCJ score as F6) with brockman as the loophole.
You could wait a couple weeks and get Rowan Marshall at that price?
T/u – Pay up for Parish
T/d – Save cash for Neale
Cripps to…
t/u – Jelly
t/d – Zerret
comment – hold
I’d be holding if you still have rooks on the field, plus he is a warm body this week when most are struggling to get 18 on the field.
I’ve got 14 players scoring this round (possibly 15 if Reeves gets on the park) is that about average? How many will be competitive this round? Good luck all
I’m hoping for 14 as well, that’s if Reeves and Madden get named. 12 looking a lot more likely. Just hoping to scrape through a league W.
One spot to go in midfield..I already have Oliver Lyons Fyfe Walsh Duncan Macrae and Steele
Tu Parish
Td Bont
Out: Poulter, McCreery, Highmore
In: Newcombe, Edwards, Walsh
Leaves me with 9 trades and $25k itb. Only 2 rookies left onfield after this week (+ Heeney).
TU/TD appreciated!
why not keep Poulter and ditch Heeney? You will have more money in the bank and Poulter is a DPP who will probably score better
Hmm I hadn’t thought of that. You’re right, Poulter and Heeney’s scores are actually pretty similar + Poulter still has a low BE and is DPP.
Might do a quick temp check here.
Who to keep (for now):
TU – Poulter

Who to Trade In?
TU:- Lachie Hunter
TD:- Kyle Langford
Apparently Darcy Moore has done his PCL and is out for the season ♂️
Looking at who to trade in, have 522k to spend, was thinking:
TU – Houston (playing in bye)
TD – Short (not playing in bye)
Thoughts on,
Out: Heeney and Poulter
In: Jelly and Newcombe
T/u – Dale
T/d – Langford
I’ve stuck with DeGoey through the bad times thinking he would come good at the business end of the season and now he gets suspended and won’t be around for 2 crucial weeks. More frustrating was the injury and sub vest for Murphy that has left me 15k short of all my trade plans for this week.
TU: Stick with DeGoey
TD: Trade him to Greene but then not have enough cash to bring in Bolton the week after…
P.S I can’t see any forward cheaper than Greene that I would want near my completed team. Let me know if you can see something I can’t…
TU Trade Sidebum
TD Hold Sidebum

Heeney & Poulter for
TU: Langford & Rozee
TD: Hall & Riccardi (if named)
Please comment any other suggestions!
Rozee’s only tonned up once this year and Riccardi can’t break into his team so both seem super risky. I know Heeney is frustrating and Poulter’s a rookie but seems like you’re getting rid of 2 players that are both better than at least one of the options.
Hey Johnno, cheers for the comment!
Sorry I’ve sold Riccardi short.. he kicked 8, with 24 disposals & 14 marks.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I was watching that game and loved what Riccardi was doing. Even Rozee is great but I don’t love either as keepers which they kinda have to be now but I get it and fielding 18 this week would be very impressive.

TU Jelly
TD Mitchell
T/U: Parish and Gray in this week
T/D: Merret in this and Bolton next
Won’t field 18 this week
Parish gives you a captaincy option and you get an extra score this week. seems like a no brainer unless you already have 18 locked in
TU: Poulter, Rowe, Berry out for B.Dale, C.Guthrie, J.Newcombe
TD: All of the above plus a luxury trade of A.Brayshaw to J.Lyons
Only one spot left to fill after this, 7 trades
I would hold Brayshaw for now, Freo have a soft run coming up with Collingwood, Carlton, and Hawthorn.
TU: Greene
TD: Langford
TU: Walsh
TD: Wines
Will have 8 trades left after making 4 this week and still need to get 2 more premos to get to full premo. Current midfield is Oliver, Macrae, Steele, Merrett, Mitchell, Duncan and Cripps. Already trading Poulter to Hall, so who do I trade Jordon to?
T/up – Lyons (leaves me with $1.1k)
T/down – Walsh (leaves me with $40k)
Have 12 trades, is Langford worth the punt to bring him in?

What player do you recommend? i cant seem to get 2 premo
Hope that helps!
TU Bailey Dale
TD Tom Hawkins

10 trades left, 5 rookies on field + Aliir and Heeney.
TU: Aliir, McNeil, Heeney -> Stewart, Newcombe, Langford. Will get Aliir out at some point and should jump on Langford while he’s cheap.
TD: McNeil, Heeney -> Stewart, Newcombe. Save Aliir as a luxury trade as trading him now probably only leaves me with 2 trades in finals.
Cheers.
Hey AJ,
I think you need to keep Heeney and Aliir as you still have another 5 upgrades to make with only 10 trades you are not going to be able to complete your side if you trade the likes of these guys out.
One down one up x 5 = zero trades left (if you are lucky) before you even consider upgrading these guys IMO ! Good luck
Cheers
Trade Poulter for
TD: Walsh
TD: Josh Kelly
Comment: Ollie Wines
TU: Greene
TD: Hawkins
Cameron is cheaper than Hawkins.
Heeney to ?
T/U Hall
T/D Langford (could also then use as M8 if needed)
Second part Heeney to
T/U Hall/Langford or
T/D wait one more week and get Zorko
Neale will hit his straps soon and Berry is almost ready to come back in. Zorko might be overpriced at the moment, might lose his midfield minutes.
Thinking of the below:
Jordon, Poulter & Short to Neale, Newcombe & Langford. Will get me to 17. I can go Brockman to Reeves for 18 if named
T/U – Good ideas
T/D – Hold Short. Play Laird @ M8 for now
T/U – Trade Short this round
T/D – Trade Ridley next round – doesn’t look like top 8
Any thoughts appreciated, thanks guys !

Only reason I’d pick Lyons, he has 3/4 final games at the Gabba.
I reckon it’s because it’s hard to split them – I brought in Touk last week and am looking at Lyons this week (I’m tempted to go Bont but the extra $ will be helpful for picking up some fallen premiums post-byes).
TU: Jordan, Poulter, Braedon Campbell to Langford, Dixon, and Newcombe
TD: Jordan, Poulter and Thilthorpe to Zerret, Langford and Newcombe
After trades. very little money left. 4 trades left. 21 Premo with DevRob, Cox and Weighman on the bench. Would love the Ruck cover
What to do with Jack Bowes?
TU: Hold (Could be a potential POD)
TD: Trade (Upgrade to Stewart)
Depends on if you have 18 and if you have trades to burn.
If you have Both then just go to Stewart.
If you have neither Hold and fix it later
B.McEvoy is his a reliable trade to get for defence?

Just seen on our Hawks board @BF (by a reliable poster) that Reeves will not be playing this weekend.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that McEvoy rolls his ankle at training the day before- hand then! Lol
Possible Bramble debut as well.

Does Hall get affected by the inclusion of McDonald? Is it worth still getting him or does his role change?
T/up – Worth it

I would think there is 5 in your midfield you could play with.
Wines plays this week. L. Stewart doesn’t but there isn’t too many other rookies about. Maybe you might have to take a gamble on a $102K rookie (hopefully named this week) to have one more upgrade this week who is playing. 13 trades isn’t too bad. 13 or 14 on the field this week means going backwards in a hurry.
I was thinking of going Jordon, Poutler, Byrnes and Brockman > Newcombe, Luke Edwards then have $1,015,000 to play with.
Forgot about Newcombe because I brought him in last week.
Sounds like a plan.
Why forget about him (Newcombe) though?
No sorry I forgot to include him in my first thoughts. Definitly go with after last weeks score. Your problem is finding the 2 players for 1 mill. You might have to include Langford who I don’t like personally.
I could trade waterman in place of brockman? Maybe, I don’t know this week got be completely lost
What would you recommend Johnno?
I really like Boak and Houston this week and there’s something about having good players on a good team so if you were to do the 3 trades, that’s where I’d go.
Your forward line is a bit weak though so the 4 trades is intriguing and bringing in Langford and Hall could be a great fix for that.
Ooh actually, just realised you could do Langford and Greene in with the 3 trade option so maybe that’s the way to go to boost the forward line and save that fourth trade.
That would mean I’d have Langford in the MIDs this week then can trade for a MID (E.g. Weightmen, Waterman, etc) next week via Langford.
Who to trade out: (for parish/bont via laird dpp)
TU: Caleb Daniel
TD: Jordan Ridley
(leaning towards trading daniel just due to the bevo unstable role factor, whereas ridley atm is at least 80+)

How is Briggs job security like with Mumford out?
TU: Good he will make cash
TD: Mummy wll come back as soon as he is ok
TU: Parish (POD)
TD: Bont (safe option)
Also can anyone clarify parish’s ‘role change’ in round 6
Ive heard people say thats when his role changed but his CBA attendances were pretty consistent prior to round 6 as well so any clarification would be great!
dont worry I found a good link here
https://www.theroar.com.au/2021/06/08/darcy-parish-has-arrived-and-the-afl-is-taking-notice/
Put these in order:
Walsh, Wines, Neale, Parish, Miller, Lyons and Boak
Parish, Miller, Neale, Walsh, Lyons, Boak, Wines.
If I care about cash: Boak, Walsh, Neale, Wines, Miller, Lyons, Parish
If I just want the best right now: Lyons, Miller, Walsh, Neale, Parish, Wines, Boak.
TU: Hawkins
v
TD: Hall
Put these in order :
Hall, Hawkins, Dale, Langford, Greene
Can only trade in one this week (not enough cash for 2)
I reckon you have it spot on right there
If anything, swap Dale and Hawkins.
Would you go early on edwards and just cop the donut? while betting that your extra Premo outscores the 2 rookies you would have bought in?
Bramble confirmed to debut so don’t worry that he’s on the extended bench.
Murphy, Poulter, Sidey OUT
Newcombe, Madden, Touk Touk IN
15 on field $224k in the bank, 8 trades left (1 upgrade with Impey and Helmet head to go)
You know the drill.
TU: Good Trades
TD: Bad Trades
Comment- why
I’d probably sideswap another Primo. get 16 on field. 7 trades left is still plenty to do the upgrades you want.
Touk TU
Parish TD
One premo to bring in.
Tu Bont
Td Jelly + 100k
Hi guys – First trade is Heeney to Newcombe – Second trade?
T/U Jordan to Bont
T/D RCD to Hall
can you DPP Jordan to Hall?
TU: risk Hall with already poor injury history and now mcdonald back potentially complicating his kick ins
TD: bailey dale (over priced alot thanks to that 150, but guaranteed 90+ rest of the szn
Note: have zeibs zorko dusty impey
– One spot reserved for a cheap dangerfield
So onky one spot left (bar a luxury impey upgrase later on)
Tu- Bailey Dale
Td- Kyle Langford
hey guys, what about these trades??
Poulter, Heeney, Rowe and Brayshaw to
Newcombe, Langford, Madden and Bont.
Cheers
Newcombe or Briggs?
Tu Newcome
TD Briggs
Comment pay up for Madden 2-3 weeks with Lester out i think?
Worpel & Mumford factors
TU Madden
Bramble not Newcombe oops!!
Last defender upgrade
TU: Whitfield (last week’s score scared me a little given they played North)
TD: Rich (he’s burnt me before….)
Kelly
Or
Lyons
Cheers
or Neal?
Would you trade Heeney to Jeremy Cameron (exact funds)?
TU: Boak
TD: Hawkins
Comment: Langford
Tu Wines
Td J. Kelly
Wines looks to have a better run home potentially and is a bull plus boak gets the tag normally
TU: caleb daniel
TD: ridley
Need to get to at least 16 players this week and have plenty of trades left.
Thinking Rowe, Cerra, Bianco and potentially E Smith to Briggs, Danger, Ridley and Durham/Bramble (If they play) leaving me 88K in the bank.
I am just trying to get points this week.
Thoughts much appreciated
Avoid Ridley. pay for one of Stuart, Docherty, Rich or maybe even Harris Andrews or Scrimshaw for a POD. Ridley hasn’t been the same since Heppel took his role
Houston’s another defender to consider at a budget too
or Aliir Aliir is sneaky great value. been regularly toning up
Heeney to Hawkins?
HI
who to trade in??
Neale
or
Lyons
Thank you
Can anyone help me ?? Dad has been wandering around the house for days now repeating “Nick Haynes” over and over and it is doing my head in.
I’m thinking only a new shipment of a dozen mixed Grange will shut him up.
SOW.
He’s really scraping the bottom of the Barrel there !
FWD upgrade this week:
TU: Robbie Gray
TD: Langford
I could go early on L Edwards (trade N Murphy out) to upgrade Heeney to Hall/Hawkins/Dale (don’t trust Langford to maintain this scoring). Would leave me with 3 upgrades remaining and 7 trades…
TU: good idea
TD: save your trades you dingbat!
Who to trade in for Heeney?
TU: Langford
TD: Hall
Comment: Hawkins
Hawkins
Is dan houston actually good value at 414k
Tu – Good get
Td- Dan Trapston
TU – Hawkins
TD – Hall
Jeremy Cameron
TU: YES GET HIM
TD: NO NOT SAVE
What do you guys think?
A.Waterman,C.Poulter,J.Daniher,N.Murphy > K.Briggs,L.Bramble,J.Cameron,C.Dixon
TU: Yes do it
TD: No Cameron and Briggs ain’t reliable
Most of those are fine but Daniher to either Cameron or Dixon just isn’t worth it imo. You could trade out the 3 rookies and only pick up one of Cameron or Dixon and save that 4th trade
Just saw the game sheet time forgot Daniher is playing but you made a really fair point ill stick with this trade.
A.Waterman,C.Poulter,N.Murphy > K.Briggs,L.Bramble,C.Dixon
Jelly or Walsh
Hey everyone!
For most of the week, I’ve been pretty focused on getting Merrett into my final mid spot. However, I’ve started thinking about bringing Lyons in instead. I’ve got 2 more spots in my fwd line, and Merrett would see me with 114k in the bank. What do we think?
TU: Merrett
TD: Lyons
Thanks!
Julian
Both options get me to 16 on field and 2 upgrades to finish my team. Just not sure whether to complete my mids without Bont or prioritize getting Danger and Bolton in the forward line.
Out – Poulter, Byrnes, Waterman and McCreery
In –
T/U – Merrett, Jelly, Briggs, Bramble & $90k
T/D – Merrett, Langford, Briggs, Bramble & $193k
Oops 17 on field. Anyway.
Merrett and Langford, if it allows you Bont eventually.
Good luck, Emile – not that you need it!
Cheers GD. Thinking the same as I “should” have enough $ on hand to go Daniher straight to Bont with one trade.
