        1. Is there any way you can fix your D6? Do you have any cash left? Because bringing Gaff in is only going to net you 20-30 points per week – to beat that, you’d only need to field a D6 that averages 60+.

        2. Fair enough, well done on the rank! Just had a look over your team, and strong best 21. Ruck would be my main concern with 3 trades left. Draper on field with B. Williams on bench is a real risk of a zero at some stage over the coming weeks. Draper has a tough run ahead too – including Gawn in the SC GF. Anyway, good luck whichever way you go!

            1. Good plan. In that case though I’d definitely hold that last trade, to cover the inevitable injury to a premium over the next month.

    1. I’m trying to split these two as well. Both play Freo/WC, while Baz also has Hawks and Simpkin has Port. So Simpkin a tougher draw, plus his matchup against the Eagles comes in the SC GF, so I’m leaning towards trading him and keeping Baz.

    1. Like both of these except Walters. Just not getting the centre bounces he did before he was injured. What’s your fwd line looking like now and how much funds you got for it

  1. After winning 6 finals to go straight to preliminary it looks like 1 trade this week.
Never trust GWS rookies but looks like better late then never with Riccardi this week .
    Straight trade Skinner to Riccardi

  3. M8 up for grabs… with limited capital:

    TU: Tim Kelly

JPK is $30k cheaper, but I’m more interested in scoring potential

  4. Going for overall but only 5 trades left and 19 playing this week (if all expected do play)

TU – Make some trades to get more playing this week
TD – Keep the trades in hand for the last 4 weeks of carnage

    1. Too vague a question, Frankie. Depends.

Which rookies are you fielding at M8 and D6? What does their respective job security look like?

How much money do you have to spend? Are you looking for a budget option?

Post your full team and we can help you out.

      1. Hi GBD my team

Well i think Butts security is low but took the risk. Close is 50/50. Foot been omitted. Budget or premium if i can afford.

        1. Alright. Couple of options for you, Frankie.

          1) To bring in a DEF premo, you could go:

          Close -> Dow
McKay -> 490k~ DEF (Mills, Saad, May, Sheppard, Cerra all fine at D6)

With only two trades you’re able to finish your DEF line. Solid set of trades imo.

          2) If you’re adamant about bringing in a MID premo, you’ll have to cash in on Draper – although I wouldn’t reccomend it (negative BE, probably returns this week). That said, playing aggresive might have some merit. In which case you could go:

McKay ->DEF rookie (see Chillo’s rookie review tmmrw)
          Draper -> 102k RUC
          Close -> 652k~ MID premo

          3) Alternatively, you could do no upgrading this week and instead shore up your cash gen and bank by going:

          Close -> Dow
          Foot -> Riccardi

Gives you 173k in the bank with Riccardi coming through as a juicy cow and the option to sideways a underperforming premo this week.

Goodluck whichever of those three options you roll with.

  5. Bye bye to Close and Bennell.
Hello to $102k rookie and JPK.
Leaves me with 3 trades to offload Draper after a final cash grab this week to finish my fwds.

    4

    0
          1. JPK’s two tons this year have been against North and the Crows.

3 of his last 4 games are against top 8 teams.

            3

            1
  6. Does anyone know how many trades each week from here till the end of the year that we’ll be able to make. I know we get three this week

    1

    1. Allowed to use up to three during bye rounds, so R15 and 16, then back to two in normal rounds, R17 and 18.

        1. Dogs have had a tough run – his four average scores in the past six weeks have ALL been against the current top 4.

He has an insipid Freo coming up, and a worse Hawthorn. Back him in against a couple of struggling sides.

          2

          1
          1. Hey. “insipid”

Have you watched Freo this Year ??

            We haven’t been that bad..

Ok last game we got bashed up a bit, before that we had won 3/4 and that loss was a freakin’ kick after the siren.

I think Freo have been pretty impressive this year, given their injuries and playing alot of kids.

I fully expect them to trail off a bit given their age and the fact they are moving back to the Q Hub.

I still think “insipid” is a tad harsh.

            7

            3
            1. Ha… yeah fair call FT. I was just using Jov’s language to highlight my point that Baz has been scoring better against bottom 8 sides, of which he has 2 out of 3 coming up.

A lot to like about Freo this year and love that JL is throwing the kids in the guts. Young to come back in next year too, who might be the pick of the 2019 crop.

              1. No worries Matt.

Huge ask to be top of this years pile, but I like your thinking. If he turns out a bit like Lukosius, I’ll be stoked.

We head to Cairns this week and have the mighty Tigers. I fully expecting to get flogged, but you never know.

At least the games on at a reasonable hour.
I start work at 6am, so these mid week WA late games have been killing me !

                1

                2
              2. Haha, apologies for provoking a bit of tension. Appreciate the analysis, I think I’ll have to re-tweak these trades, the lack of cash cow generation is killing me right now, hence the attempted Smith move.

  7. Have 6 trades left, Close in my forward line is the last one I need to upgrade, but I still don’t have Neale and I traded Gawn a few weeks ago.
    Should I
T/U – Trade Cripps/Draper/Close to Neale/Conroy/Walters leaving me with 3 trades left to upgrade McEvoy.
T/D – Trade Close to Walters leaving me with 5 trades left and wait for Neale/Gawn to lose money while Draper and McEvoy go up.

  8. Currently fielding exactly 18 assuming that Kelly is out, and Schoenberg and Wicks are named.

5 trades left. Playing for overall and bypass round 16 in all my leagues.

Without enough cash to upgrade any of my rookies I’m thinking of doing something crazy like…

Jelly, Bont and Baz to Merrett, Andy Brayshaw and Gaff/Cogs leaving $100k in the bank, 20 on field for round 15 (18 premos), 2 trades and only Rankine to upgrade. There’s probably a better move but I haven’t figured it out yet.

    5

    5
      1. That’s what I’m thinking! To upgrade Rankine to a fallen premium I have to do 3 trades, I’ll end up fielding more rookies than premiums, and hoping to strike gold in the $480k range, and I’ll have $0 in the bank. I may as well just hang onto Rankine at that point, and save the trades to cover injuries.

        Current team is.

        DEF
Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, Maynard, Haynes, Doc (Sholl, BJ Williams)

        MID
Neale, Oliver, Titch, Jelly, Cripps, Bont, Shuey, Dusty (Wicks, Schoenberg, Close)

        RUC
        Nic Nat, Grundy

        FWD
Petracca, Whitfield, Greenwood, Simpkin, Baz, Rankine (Foot, Skinner)

$6K in the bank. Used my savings to go Bytel to Cripps last round.

  9. Going for overall ranking so trying to get as many Premiums in as possible. Still have 7 trades so will be left with 4 post Tuesday. Dropped back to 46th this week so got some catching up to do.

    Duncan > Fyfe
    B Smith > Walters
    Woodcock > Jeremy Cameron

Only have 390k to fill that last forward spot and feel GWS have a weak draw and expect them to make a late finals push with Cameron to play a big part in it?

    TU: Yes
    TD: No

    5

    14
  10. Only have one spot to upgrade which is Close but playing for overall as well so thinking of tying in two sideways trades so out is B Close, M Duncan and B Smith and in is:

    TU: JPK, Z Merrett/T Mitchell & J Martin
    TD: JPK, M Crouch & H Greenwood

    4

    10
        1. Oh definitely but as an M8 that I can straight swap for a rookie on bye he’s a pretty decent option. Ignoring his injury game he’s averaging 100 and has the potential to score more historically. I made top 4 in all 4 leagues and won this week so won’t be in a matchup till round 17 so just hope he isn’t rested in rounds 17 or 18 and in the mean time whenever he plays can come in handy to improve overall.

          2

  11. Need some advice on what to do with Jelly.

TU – Hold Jelly and upgrade rookie to Titch

TD – Trade Jelly to Titch and upgrade rookie to DEF premo

    5

    8
    1. If playing for league then hold Jelly. Playing for rank then probably your TD option. It’s best 18 this week to so guess it depends if you can cover Kelly to. GWS have the crows r16 , I personally am excited for Kelly in that match up, if he gets up to play that is.

  12. Close/Bell to Riccardi/Dawson?

Means I can swap around Dawson and O’Connor to cover both FWD and DEF. Would be 4 trades left with zero bank, Draper at R2.

    TU – good trades
    TD – bad trades

    0

    6
  13. D6 & F6 to close out with 6 trades left:

    T/U – B.Smith, Hill & Close to Walters, Haynes & T.Dow – Leaves Riccardi as F6 for now

T/D – Hill, Close & Xerri to Haynes, B.Williams (WCE) & T.Dow – Hold Bazlenka and grab either Stewart (D6) or Greenwood (F6) to finish my team

    0

    6
  14. Trying to eek out full premo side but not sure whether I’ll get there. I’ve got 6 trades left, but thinking I’ll need to use all 3 to generate cash and get some premos in:

TU: Duncan, Williamson, B.Close OUT -> Gaff, May, budget FWD rookie IN
TD: cool your jets on the trades, just aim for one of Gaff or May

    4

    5
  15. Just to get an idea – how many people are playing only for league at this point and not trading this week to have max trades for remaining finals games?

I’m currently ranked 1600s but am much more interested in winning my leagues, and with 7 trades left and $150k itb, would rather sit on them this week, wait for Neale/Gawn to come down in price, and be able to use max trades the rest of the way.

TU: playing for league, happy with no trades this week
TD: playing for rank as well, making urgent trades this week

    15

    7
    1. That’s my plan too Nateo.

This should at the least get all my rookies off field.

I feel, It will still be drawing a very long bow, to call my team “Full Premo” 😉

      6

      0
    2. Same boat, just wondering if you guys have Riccardi? Thinking of loopholing Mosquito and him at F6 and not worrying about a proper premo at that spot. I don’t think either is a solution, but I’m not convinced of any of the forward premo’s atm. I’ve got Petracca, Whitfield, Brayshaw, Simpkin and B Smith already so the only other forward premo’s I would consider would be Greenwood/Parish/Walters; not sold on Parish, Greenwood bye and Walters awkward price and not firing. Can’t justify 540k for Dusty.

Bringing in Riccardi for Woodcock or Close gives me some extra cashola to get Brodie Smith at D6 to May or Duncan to Merrett, Goldstein to Gawn etc.

Or I could be just getting FOMO over a tall forward whose just had two good weeks and I should just hold those 4 trades in case someone goes down.

      1. Hey Fo’s

I went Mozzie over Riccardi too.

I too had been burnt by GWS rookies JS. Huge mistake.
        The kid can play.

I’m just not sure it’s worth a trade to get him in now.
If it’s for cash gen then you need two trades.

I only have the 4 trades, so if I get him in its to loop at F6/7 for the year.

        Riccardi’s next 4 are v V’s..

GWS have the Blues, Crows, Melb and the Saints.

Not the hardest of runs really.

With Best 18 the next two, I guess he is a “free hit” and should go well V the Crows.

I was going to give reasons why you better off holding fire ,but instead, I may have just talked myself into him.

I guess we still have 24 hours to decide.

        Best of luck.

        2

        1. Great points FT, much to consider. I guess by that reasoning Jezza Cameron could also be an option, but I’m just not sure how a tall GWS forward line (Jezza, Riccardi, Himmelberg, Finlayson) could function. Given Riccardi’s the rookie of the 4, he’s probably likely to go first. His role is also less versatile then Cameron who can play up the wing and grab a mark or two.

Any other forward’s that pique your interest fella’s?

  16. Hello All,

In a dilemma – Only 6 trades left with three upgrades to go in Defence, Midfield & Fwd. BUT – Wingard has tested my patience BIG TIME! have him since day one and now its time to let go i think and use a trade on him:
    T/U – YES to Riccardi
    T/D: Nope, stick with him

    Thoughts appreciated.

  17. Can someone remind me how the extra trade during byes works out… I know that we get up 3 trades during R15 R16 ……but…… do we get given an extra trade into our bank during these rounds to use? Currently have 6 trades at start of R15, so If do not use any trades in R15 i will start R16 with 7 trades in the bank. Is this correct?

Pls help with my confusion. I remember early in the year this is what happened.

    1

    2
    1. Hey CC,
As far as i understand, you get 3 trades this round. If you do not use them, your balance of 6 trades will move to Round 16. You do not get an extra trade in Round 16. They had added extra trades over the course of the season cos, there were changes made during the season by AFL with byes etc.
      Hope this helps.

  18. Im going for ranking so i would love to hear your advice. 7 trades in hand, $206,100 bank
Players in capitals are having their byes.

Def: Lloyd. Ridley, Maynard, May, Doc, STEWART (Rivers, Bailey Williams)
Mids: Neale, Oliver, Mitchell, Cripps, Cogs, Shuey, Viney, DUNCAN (Wicks, Bennell, Schoenberg)
    Rucks: Naitanui, Grundy (Draper)
Fwd: Petracca, Whitfield, Brayshaw, D Martin, Walters, Riccardi (CLOSE, Skinner)

    Ins: Mills, Merrett, Daniher
    Outs: Stewart, Duncan, Close

Either Mills or Haynes. Im leading towards to Mills (No rampe and gets more touches than Haynes)

Im going to use Skinner (Lions) as a loophole for swapping Riccardi and Daniher as Lions have their matches after Giants and Bombers. This allows me to take the highest score of either Riccardi or Daniher every round. Gladly this made up for it for bringing in Skinner in the first place haha.

    Next round
Ins: Any premo defender, Gawn, Greenwood
    Outs: Maynard, Grundy, D Martin

    What are your thoughts?

    1. Hi there Razza.

I know your being aggressive due to your rank etc..

I just think you are making 1 or 2 too many trades.

With Best 18 scoring I would be keeping Stewart.
What if you get in Mills and he doesn’t even make your best 18 scores ?

I like the Duncan and Close moves.

I like next weeks trades too, although once again I would be looking at keeping Dusty. For many of the reasons I state above. I just think you need to be absolutely certain whoever you bring in makes your best 18 scores. Otherwise I think you are better off keeping the trade.

This would ‘possibly ” mean ( fingers crossed for Injuries ) you have a chance to luxury trade Viney ,Shuey or Cogs for a POD with a juicy fixture.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

      6

        1. Thank you for your massive input. I totally understand where you’re coming from. I am being aggressive with my trades but that is the plan. I’m 615 points behind the leader. Four rounds to go, need to score extra 150 points each round.

Mills gives me minimum of 90. Mills and Lloyd drives the ball out. Ball will always be going down their way.

I rather fulfil a team with a strong 22 to cover players who underscored.

Dusty only had 3 great scores this year. Round 1 against blues (126), Round 9 against Doggies (184) and Round 13 against bombers (147). Other matches have been average.

For now i’ll explore other options apart from Dusty considering you mentioned crows match.

Thank you for the tip trading one of Viney or Shuey for a POD.

          1. Check out Zorko.

Huge Ceiling and Brisbane have a softish draw heading home.
Seems to be playing a bit more forward this year with Lyons there now, and the rise of Berry and Mcluggage. But if he can get that midfield spot back he could be worth a look.

  22. Hello All,

Is Daniher the real deal? Would trading Bailey Smith to Daniher sound bonkers? This will enable me to get some much needed cash for the next upgrade. 2 upgrades left (in Def & Fwd) with three trades remaining if i complete the below trade.

T/U: Yes, trade B Smith to Daniher.

  24. Another one from me…

Playing for league, playing for survival in round 16.

    For M8, it’s either:

    TU: Matt Crouch
    TD: JPK

TU leaves me with one trade left for the season (given I’ll be using my other two trades to get Gawn back in next week) and one rookie on field (F6 – Riccardi etc).

TD would allow me to upgrade Riccardi post round 16, but if I don’t win round 16 I’ll be done for anyway!

    Thanks in advance

    1. Maybe look at going down on a premium with a bye, like Bont to Zerrett. Then downgrade Close and/or Bell, or try to get a non-playing rookie like Sturt out, if your side to Mosquito so you’re at least downgrading to someone playing and generating some $.

    1. Don’t do it Wighty! You’re a brave man to bring Smith back in..have you got enough for Parish? Not sure how Hepp will affect his scoring though

  32. If you can get Goldie to Max. I would do it.

Hurn has been a stain my team since entering, and I have no problem with you kicking him out of yours!

Simpkin is an interesting one. He just hasn’t got back to anywhere near his early season form. I’d be inclined to use his cash if you have an option. Andy Brayshaw if you can.

I would love to hear what Gunboat thinks ??

      1. Hey, Jake.

Hmm. Very tricky, not a lot of cash gen coming through – through no fault of your own, terrible rookie crop dw.

You could probably sideways trade your way to a D6 premo by going:

        Simpkin -> J. Cameron
        J. Kelly -> Gaff
        Starc -> 513k~ DEF premo

That gives you a full premo side bar F6 and +2 extra players during this week’s bye. Riccardi will be fine at F6 for a bit, you can upgrade him later by using your last 2 trades to cull Schoenberg and then bring in a discounted F6 in his place.

Not an ideal but given your rookie situation, I actually think it’s a solid set of trades. Really don’t mind Riccardi at F6 for now, GWS with a soft run.

        Hope that helps.

  33. Someone please help me. I currently have Noble (D6) and Day (D7). And I want to bring in Lloyd to complete my defence, meaning I need to trade both out to achieve this. My D8 is Gould. I can’t see a viable def rookie to bring in, so should I

TU: bring in B Williams and hope he stays in the team past this week; or

TD: just bring in a $102k rookie purely for cash, and risk no bench cover?

    1. Doubt Williams survives much longer, especially with JJK to come back in next week. Tobe Watson could be in the mix, with Ryan to miss.

  34. So Butts is injured have about 5 trades and i got McKay to rookie cover in bench. Should i get another rookie or no.

TU: Trade Butts for Baley J Williams (WCE)

TD: Hold the trade Mckay security more higher and save the trade

  35. Best loopholes for remainer of season?
Round 18 fixture as yet unknown. Round 16 & 17 Gold Coast plays in last games, Brisbane & Sydney in last or 2nd last games.
Of the cheapest players only Sydney’s O’Connor (D/F) is DPP for that added flexibility. Bris has Corey (M) & Gold Coast has Conroy (R), Murtagh & Rosas (F) or Towey (D).

    1. Just wondering why people see the need to trade so hard this round as its a non finals round. I can see the reasoning behind downgrading a fat cow for a rd 16 upgrade, but what possible advantage could there be in trading otherwise, other than for OA ??

      3

      1. Don’t want to get left behind. If my r16 opponents have traded aggressively and get 50 points of advantage, that could sink the season.

    2. I went Mcpheros to Tovey R14 for just that reason. Cash allowed me to get Macrae but that just meant he had his worst score for the season (I think).

  36. I have $40k and 5 trades left. I am full premo apart from D6 and M8. I need advice on what is more important right now for me?

    My team is:

DEF: Stewart, Ridley, Haynes, Doch, Maynard, Noble (Day, Gould)

MID: Neale, Oliver, Titch, Jelly, Boak, Cripps, Duncan, B. Smith (Close, Wicks, Schoenberg)

    RUC: Goldy, Grundy (Draper)

FOR: Petracca, Brayshaw, Dusty, Whitfield, Simpkin, Riccardi (Woodcock, Foot)

TU: bringing in Lloyd as my final defender

TD: bringing in the likes of May/Saad instead purely for the cash.

    1. Cogs had the most CBAs for GWS on the weekend. With no Kelly or Ward, you’d think he’d go OK. Probably has higher ceiling than Gaff as well; Cogs scored a double-ton last year.

      3

    1. Ooof, 400k is cutting it tight. Not a lot of stellar options.

There’s Hurn and Dev Smith at around that price range, or you could just grab Daniher, pocket the 130k and hope for the best?

      2

      0
    2. I’d have at look at Jez Cameron for 328K. Scored a ton on the weekend, and GWS will be pushing hard for finals. Has a soft-ish draw coming up and could easily drop a 150 against the Crows next week.

  38. Thinking about something crazy:

Grundy (Draper comes in as R2 for next 2 weeks with Gawn at R1) and Close out for Brayshaw (FWD) and Gaff to complete team. Except for R2.

Going for overall, leaves me 4 trades, not much cash.

    Thoughts?

  39. I have 6 premo FWDs and Big O @ R2.
    Thoughts on this trade?

    B.Smith & Close > Gawn & B.Williams

Moves Big O to F6 and bring in Gawn at R2. Only position left is D6 with 3 trades left, which I can upgrade Draper to with the Bailey Wiliams swing in Round 17

  40. Alright boyos and girlos, game time.

Placed 3rd in the elite, infamous and very selective ‘Public League 430093’ – ranked at a dominating #22,133/22,317. Won the H2H and lead the overall scoring in the League, so I’ll enjoy a two-game approach to building my team for the Prelim.

Even though my overall ranking of #138,584 puts me in good stead to go for the #1 position, I’ll focus on my League this year and give one of you a shot – the lure of taking home the coveted ‘Spud Bowl’ premiership cup is too good to pass up.

    $205,100 | 14 trades
D: Lukosius, Ridley, Saad, Docherty, Hurn, Rich (McKay, Watson)
M: Neale, Bont, Titch, Cripps, Parker, Shuey, Viney, Serong (Hibberd (Ess), Wicks, E. Taylor)
    R: Grundy, Draper (102k)
F: Whitfield, Bazlenka, Simpkin, D.Smith, Wingard, Mosquito (Close, Skinner)

Will aggressively downgrade to 102k rookies and keep one active as cover in each position between now and the GF.

    Rd 15: McKay, Serong, Close > BJ.Williams, Dow, Petracca | $237,800
    Rd 16: Hibberd (Ess), E.Taylor, Draper > 102k, 102k, Gawn | $16kish
    Rd 17: Injury cover/102k
    Rd 18: Wicks upgrade

TU: You’ll take home the flag big fella
    TD: Swap Gawn/Petracca’s order
Comment: Consider bringing in other players

  41. Only have 14 premos this round without sideways trading, so I’m looking to be aggressive;

    T/U – Bont, B.Smith & Hill to JPK, Brayshaw & Haynes
121k left & 3 trades for 1 FWD upgrade. 16 premos this round

    T/D – B.Smith, Hill & Close to Haynes, Greene & B.Williams
81k left & 3 trades for a DEF upgrade. 15 premos this round

  42. Sturt>Riccardi
    BZT>$102k spud

    TU Bell>X O Neill
    TD Bell> Mosquito

Both gives me ~$247k, 6 trades left. Still to upgrade Draper, Close, Wicks (or Rivers/Riccardi depending on how they go)

    1. With Rich back in this week, either Witherden or Birchall will likely make way. Gut fell says Fagan will stick with Birch, making Witho the unlucky one. Either way, his JS is not as good as you might expect.

  43. Have 15 premiums this week for a total of 19 players but looking to boost the premiums up a little. Have 5 trades left so currently thinking I’ll just do Close to JPK and hope 2 of my rookies have reasonable scores but crazier plans are:

TU: Duncan & Close to Gaff & JPK
TD: Duncan, Close & Bytel to Zerrett, JPK & misc mid rookie.

Duncan to Gaff leaves me with enough to straight swap Simpkin to Greenwood as well which might be better than pulling in a random rookie at this stage.

  44. Need some help picking my final mid spot (upgrade from Serong). I’m not really liking any of the options who aren’t already in my team, particularly given this weeks bye. J Lyons seems to be the best who’s already had the bye and not in my team but I would be moving heaven and earth to get him and I don’t have huge raps on him. I am leaning towards holding Serong this week then upgrade next week.

Current mid brigade: Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Titch, Zerret, Fyfe, Cripps

    T/U – T. Kelly
T/D – Hold until next week

    1

    1. Not Tim Kelly, what’s your price point? Dunkley is off the bye and 500k next week, Boak will be also. If you can afford 600k just get Steele and enjoy the ride

  45. Hi all, hope everyone started finals well, I won both league finals (was 1st and 2nd in respective leagues) and made prelims so could probably hold for this week as my overall rank is 1,785 so yeah. Anyway any advice would be appreciated!! Last round’s trades were: Rankine & Aarts to JKelly and Riccardi.

DEF: Lloyd, Stewart, Ridley, Haynes, Daniel, Doc (Rivers, Sholl)
MID: Neale, Bont, Oliver, Mitchell, ZMerrett, Josh Kelly, Cripps, Wicks (Close, O’halloran, Robertson (Lions))
    RUC: Nic Nat, Grundy (Cameron)
FWD: Petracca, Whitfield, A.Brayshaw (Freo), Dusty, Bailey Smith, Riccardi (Foot, Skinner)
9 Trades left, $131,400 in the bank

    Cheers!!

    1. Teams looking good now hey JJ! Couldn’t have predicted Josh Kelly for you though, hopefully he gets up this week.

Really not too much to do atm, Riccardi is going to be everyone’s F6 for the time being. Could possibly get Mosquito for Skinner and loophole Riccardi/Mosquito (my plan)

Another trade could be to downgrade Close to a 102k rookie (Hamish Brayshaw) to get Wicks to a premo next week. Cameron to Draper is probably a trade you can afford to do for the cash gen, hopefully enabling you to get Gawn by grand final for you.

A great option could also be to trade Doc to Houli giving you a very strong backline.

Reckon I give you better advice than I do to my own supercoach team tbh..

  47. I guess it’s time to make some bold choices.
On one hand I have an elimination to win in Rd 16 and on the other if I beat my mate overall, he’s getting a tattoo of my choosing on his ass.

    TU – Jelly/Nic Nat/McKay –> Titch/Ridley (via Williams DPP)/T.Dow + 300k for M8 upgrade next week

    TD – Jelly/Simpkin/McKay –> Titch/Ridley/T.D0w (via Close DPP) + 120k for next week

Comment – open to any suggestions

    1. You can be bold, but not trading Nic Nat bold (especially against first year Draper). Who goes into your ruck if you trade him? I assume you’re running a Grundy and Draper/Cameron at R3?

      1

      0
      1. Not Quite, currently Nic Nat/Grundy/Draper, which would go to Grundy/Draper/Williams.

So the thought process is to run a Grundy/Draper combination for this bye week, trade Grundy to Gawn next week for a Gawn/Draper (Williams) and then back to Gawn/Grundy (Wiliams) for the last two week. Essentially leaving Draper as my last upgrade – only using him through the bye weeks.

        Thoughts?

        1. Great if it pays off! Only red flags are whether both Williams and Draper get games next week as Oscar Allen is back for WCE and Draper is still coming off an ACL which Essendon are taking a conservative approach to. Best of luck!

          1

          0
          1. Exactly! Gotta risk it for the biscuit, mainly just counting on Draper playing back to back games during the frenzy!

  48. Stuck in a dilemma at the moment where I have sinking ship Viney as my M8. Currently only focusing on league finals as my rank has gone out the window. This week, I’ve opted to run Draper as an on field ruc for the rest of the year (replacing Goldy) and have used the remaining cash on Steele. With no money spare, a potential POD caught my eye for M8 that could go huge in the final round. Jarrod Berry… has a high ceiling and is playing Carlton RD18.

    TU – Yes
TD – Nah, better value elsewhere

    1

    1
    1. I think you need to be hesitant running Draper as your R2. as an Essendon fan, they’ve got phillips and maybe (hopefully not Bellchambers) to give Draper a spell every second week. Jarrod Berry could be sneaky, but for the same price point and scoring potential Tim Kelly is a better option.

      2

    1. Gaff – pros, can find the ball, good user/cons, relies on uncontested possessions, tagged often, strong WCE midfield

Parker – pros, focal point of midfield, huge ceiling/cons, poor team, can go missing just as often, hasn’t scored consistently for weeks, JPK back

Coniglio – pros, captain (gets the job done), can go forward and score, game breaker/cons, can go missing or leave it up to teammates, rested forward often, strong GWS midfield

JPK – pros, generally elite scoring with high ceiling, rested/cons, older midfielder, likely to be rested, Sydney out of finals contention, share points with younger mids/Parker

Shiel – pros, becoming a better user, contested possessions, good at clearances (biased Essendon supporter)/cons, turnovers, heppell back, tagging target

Other options could be Tim Kelly, Andy McGrath, Shuey or wait a week and get Dunkley for 500k

      1

      0
    2. If you’re set across the board, back either Gaff or Cogs.

If you’re still needing to upgrade spots on field I reckon JPK is worth a strong shout for that extra dosh.

I can only say with certainty to avoid Parker. Brought him in to finish my midfield and thus far has dished up two 70’s and -$35k to my team value. If you need some seasoning come to me coz I got enough salt for everybody!

      1. Have 6 trades left. Defence is set (full premium).
Midfield has Viney and Shuey remaining, but at least both playing this week.
Plan to trade Draper up to Gawn in coming (next) weeks, as Draper is selected this week and Gawn could possibly lose more money.
Chosen Bailey Smith and Simpkin as trade options, as I only just have 18 (fingers crossed) players playing this week.

  52. I need to downgrade Brander.

  53. If you are in your league prelim and can’t win overall is it worth trading if you can only field 17 this round?

Have 5 trades left and 2 off full premo.. although that includes Hurn, BSmith and Simpkin as premo..

    The proposed trades were:

    Goldy > Gawn

    JKelly > Gaff

Gives me 19 this round and improve my ranking but leaves 3 trades for 2 upgrades before prelim although one upgrade is Riccardi who I could keep if his form holds up

  54. Ok so I need help badly I have 5 trades left and $185,900 in the bank my team goes as follows
Def: Lloyd, laird, Ridley, saad, Stewart and Caleb Daniel then sholl and Gould on the bench
Mids: Neale, Tom Mitchell, Josh kelly, fyfe, Cripps, Duncan, viney , Simpkin Bench: Rivers, schonberg and foot
    Rucks: Grundy Goldy and Conroy
Fwds: Petracca, Brayshaw, Dusty, Hugh Greenwood, Baz smith and Close bench mosquito and skinner
Now trade plans this week I’m thinking 3 options
1: Kelly, fyfe and Goldy to merret whitfield and Gawn
2: Kelly, viney and goldy to Whitfield gaff and Gawn
3: Or just use 2 trades and go close down to Riccardi and viney up to merret or Oliver
Any advice would be much appreciated cause I was 1600 in ranks and I dropped 1000 last Rd don’t really wanna fall much more
