I would like to take the time to thank all the guys that run this site. You provide us with amazing information that saves us hours of research time. I really appreciate your efforts and look forward to running around again next year. Good luck to those at the top and those still remaining in their respective leagues.
Need a Stewart replacement. Rich seems the obvious choice. Anyone know why his numbers were so disappointing on the w.e? Do we think he’ll bounce back?
Not sure who it was, but someone joked that Rich’s score would be low because Collingwood would not score/have it in their fifty all that much. Turned out to be true.
I ignored this advice, brought Rich in and, of course, he had his lowest score for the season.
Rich also had 6 clangers which didn’t help, I was tossing up over him & Crisp as a replacement for Mills. Of course I chose Rich, fingers crossed he bounces back!
I hope so – I traded him in as my Stewart replacement. I was trying to decide between him & Crisp – thumbs up/down query on here by 2 different coaches asked the same thing and Rich was the overwhelming winner. I went with that, thinking BL are a better side than Collingwood – not thinking that because BL are the better side that their defenders won’t get as much of the ball as Collingwood defenders…damm it. Being a Collingwood supporter, disappointed with my decision.
I hear Macca and others talking about more trades due to more injuries, I like the fact you have to trade well to succeed in SC. Injuries are a part of the game , Its how we cover them that becomes an issue in SC.
Last week I had bench cover Mid but still copped a donut in Defence when Stewart went down.
My idea is…
What if we could have a moveable bench for SC finals. A bench where you still have to nominate the four playing emergency’s but you get the BEST score first.
Eg: For the last 4 games of the year you can choose any four playing rookies on any line. If 2 of your players are late outs, you get the two BEST scores from your four nominated emergency’s. This would only be for Finals .
This would allow us to maximise our bench cover , and advantage those with good playing depth . It would also help to keep peoples interest in the game after running out of trades.
At full premo in a grand final this week with two trades left still!
Can I get a recommendation on a good sideways premo trades to make (for example a player this week that could go large even if he wasn’t a great option throughout the year)
First targets that come to mind are Titch v Tigers and any Lion MID v Eagles, all will go large. Lloyd and Mills will also both be underdone, so Crisp in could be shrewd.
Again, post your team and people can shoot you some suggestions.
My advice would be to wait for the fixture, and to consider sideways trades that involve teams playing later in the round – ie. a player playing on Sunday for another playing on Sunday.
The last thing you want to do is make a couple of sideways trades on Friday arvo thinking it’ll net you an extra 50pts, only to have one of your unique players be a late out on Saturday or Sunday and lose 100pts as a result.
Have those sideways options ready to go at the last minute, but give yourself the flexibility to make a forced trade or two instead.
My recommendation would be a blonde SOW. My ex (brunette) rage traded me post insemination a few years back. She is known as the winter solstice – short, cold and dark. My boy and I are so much happier being around happy blondes.
A washing machine is not that hard to operate, red might not be that bad but can be feisty in the final spin……
In the GF, 1 trade left with 194k in the bank. Opponent and I both have Ziebell but we’ve got cover as well. I’ll wait to see what he does with that.
Otherwise, I’m pulling the trigger on Cripps most likely. Need some advice on the trade target though. Could go someone like Bont but also tempted to negate 1 of his guys like Lyons or Kelly. Here’s my midfield:
Macrae, Steele, Titch, Oliver, Walsh, Merrett, Taranto, Cripps
Bench: Bramble, Newcombe

TU:- Mason Redman
TD:- DBJ
Stewart>Dawson best trade?
Already have Rich, Crisp, Laird, Daniel, Short
With Lloyd and Mills both underdone, yeah go Dawson.
Dad is wondering whether to trade his gf in for a blonde or brunette. He says his current gf wont wash his clothes for him any more. She’s a redhead.
T/U Blonde
T/D Brunette

T-Rex….sounds like your ex has done you a big favour you lucky bloke !! I think you might be right…blondes are likely easier to trade in !!
Stewart to Nic nat ,via laird from mid to def, danger from fwd to mid, Marshall from ruck to fwd. T.U good idea. T.D think again
In GF and 2 trades left..
Team:

Macrae, Merrett,Mitchell,Oliver,Steele,Jelly, Lyons, Sharp( Newcombe, Bianco, Bruhn)
Gawndy(Reeves)
Dangerfield, Zorko, Hall, Ziebell, Heeney, Bolton (FMcCrae, Watermen)
Am thinking if Lloyd plays:
TU: Stewart/Reeves > TMiller/ 102 Ruck via Bianco
Fielding Durham or
With 920k to spend
TD: Stewart/Sharp>. Taranto / Cummings
If TD any comments on other mids or defenders around Taranto and Cummings price would be greatly appreciated..
