Tech Leagues Review!!

Written by JimmyDee on August 15 2021

And then there were three !!

Matt picked the perfect week to top the leagues scorers with 2364 points to take his team Chips Ahoy to the top of the table, despite no Mills and Lloyd, pushing Grace down to second. This is the first time for many weeks that NINIUS has not held the top spot, but is only a tiny 9 points in arrears. Her plight was not helped by losing all of O’Brien, Greene, Stewart and May in one evil hit.

Third placed Phil Gilbert AllStars picked up the slack with a competitive score of 2245 despite the loss of Stewart and Mills. This leaves Baz only 73 points off the pace, leaving it virtually a race in three as fourth placed DR’s Tech Team is about 500 off the pace and would be unlikely to surge up that far in one round.

Barry’s Jumper Punchers scored well (2357) as did Snipers (2327) and Caz (2263) on the extended podium for only the second time this season.

Can Grace return to the form of the past weeks and claim a maiden Tech League victory, or will Matt continue on his merry way? Can Baz engineer 73 points to pull off an incredible come from behind thriller ?  I fear Baz has no trades, but do either Grace or Matt still have any. Let us know your strategies and what your expectations for the last round are !!

Good luck next week and may the best Techie win.

  1. Nice to pinch the lead after Ninius dumped me out of our league finals a couple of weeks ago! Glad to have a Tech League side after a fairly underwhelming effort from my other team this season!

      1. No real strategy – just hope everyone else is out of trades! I have reasonable cover but praying that Mills gets up, and Reeves misses again 😉

I’ve been cursing myself for trading May after he only missed 1 week earlier in the year, but he was the difference on the weekend after being a late out.

Good luck to everyone this weekend!
