Macca…I have him too, but until there is a fattened cow or two he stays…not gonna do much damage from hereon I wouldn’t have thought. Trading him now would mean missing a Cameron/Starcevich/Rivers type…think their upside is more than Houston downside.
Yeah I’m worried about Laird. I got him for his consistency but reckon the shorter quarters is hurting him as he’s an accumulator rather than an impact player. Just not getting his hands on it enough to get to those 90-100 scores.
He pulled out 134 against 4 gamer Darcy Fort, hardly an achievement. Got absolutely clobbered when he vs’d a real ruckman in Goldy.
Gawn and Grundy already have Sauce covered by 90~ pts OA. Experiment failed imo. Downgrade to Pittonet as a stepping stone to whichever one of Gawn/Grundy you’re missing.
He played on the ball quite a bit from what I saw. Just didn’t seem a natural onballer. He is bound to pump out a big score at some point, almost certainly when we’ve all jumped off or lost a bundle of cash…
Should clarify, Pittonet would be at R3, using Comben’s DPP. Feel like he is likely to make 200k or up over the next month. Also, 3k off Howe, SPS is the best alternative and his DPP is nice.
Focus on getting in the best rookies you can before their price rise. So probably Bennell for Green and Sturt for Gardner off the top of my head, but have a look at rookie threads on this site throughout the week for better suggestions
At his price, Cameron is a luxury we can afford this year. Cox would need to show something that he doesn’t seem to have, to tip Cameron out at the moment. And Cameron will generate cash even if only in for two weeks or so.
As a bombers fan, I have been watching Ridley for some time, and jumped on this week from BZT. Js is good and he takes a lot of those precious intercept marks, plus great disposal. I’d be disappointed if he didn’t average 80-90 over the season.
I’d do it. Thinking about doing it myself. Main reason is McRae was more on the wing while the Bont, Dunk and Bailey Smith were at the centre bounces. Plus he’s set to drop more $ while Neale increases and less chance of making money during a shortened season.
Jelly worries me
He was nowhere near the ball, two weeks in a row,
He seems to have a different role at GWS, don’t have kicked a goal since R21 2019!
TU: Side trade for Rozee via DPP (cash up)
TD: Hold
Thanks, Guys
So i ended up going with the 8 mid setup. It has it’s highs and lows from Neale to Bontempelli, but overall happy with how it’s running. I have grawndy, Docherty and DBJ to round out the team.
So with what Rowell produced on the weekend should i trade him in to sit on the bench due to funds being so hard to come by? The trade would be Bewely or Cumming to a rookie and a mid rookie Brown or Mcinherny to Rowell. Because i have my mids i can off load him after 3 weeks for 2 Fallen premiums.
Or just save the trade, too many points on the bench.
Should have done it last week if i was going to. Decided not to on the don’t trade premiums rule. Sticking by it. Surely bont has to dramatically improve simply because CD love the guy.
Hi all,
Have Grundy, Sauce and Darcy Cameron as Rucks 1,2 and 3.
Am thinking of trading Sauce for Pittonet, swinging Cameron into the forwards via DPP and then also picking up Naismith for R3 and cash generation. The objective being to get Gawn sooner rather than later.
Thoughts?
TU – Yep
TD – Nup, just get one of those two ruckmen
Thanks
What i like about this hair brained scheme is the idea of maximising the ruckmen in your lineup and using ruckmen as a source of cash generation. Cash, cash, cash whilst maintaining point generation this season even more so than others. Just concerned with Sinclair pumping 144 against one of the league’s uber rucks…Bellchambers, Naismith might struggle to get in, and even so, not have the same game time.
As RB has noted, the overall ruck thing this year is another unique given the short season. I’m looking at five rucks this week….B Williams who I’m keeping as a def loop and gets the c this week….no other def options that I can see that I don’t have, Grawn, Comden who was my original season long c loop, and Cameron for cash.
Who would have thought ??
I wouldn’t go near the gulute (Naismith). Hamstring tear, coming off an ACL on a guy nearly 7ft tall – you dont need to throw chicken entrails at the wall to read some bad omens right there.
Well Coaches ! If you think the SC Gods aren’t real , then think again .
into my 8th year & for the last 5 years have started with Zerrett ..Lock !
This year , just to change things up a little( & not knowing the season would do that all by its self) I replaced him with The Bont ….Yep ! and “they” are FAR from happy .
Its thrown me right off , my team “just doesn’t look right” & I haven’t made my usual right decisions so far because of it, especially with Cpts… The Gods are watching, frowning & testing my patience.
Question is: Will they forgive me if I reinstate The Dons Gun & defy the” Do Not Sideways Trade a Premo”Rule or Am I likely to bare the Full Brunt of the” You Idiot,The Bont is back in business” hammer, if I brake them ?
what say you coaches ?
TU .. Yep..The Gods love Zerrett.. not rules
TD…Dont do it…You could spontaneously Combust
Wanting to trade Naismith dpp Williams to RUC for Rivers in DEF
then upgrade Brodie smith to J Lloyd – 2 trades this week
TU: Yeah Brodie is going to leak too much cash, rid of him now and Lloyd points will come in handy regardless
TD: Nah lets wait till Naismith fattens up and lets not worry about Brodie for now
Guys, I got on here to check out what I thought might be a few comments at this early stage of the week, and was stunned to see the depth and quality of comments. Making up for lost time it would seem !!! The site just gets better each year.
Ur right Wighty.Since I took over from my dad(Pop) when he passed in the pre-season of ‘19 I have found it amazing the way all you guys approach SC and how differently I now follow footy. The insights I get here are most helpul and the SCT community seem a lot more constructive than the other fantasy help site I also visit.
My team after trades
DEF: Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Docherty, Howe, Starcevich
(BZT, brander)
Mid: Neale, Cripps, Danger, Oliver, Rowell, Pickett, Bennell, Rivers (Green, Mcinerney, Brown)
Ruck: Grundy, Naismith (Conroy)
FWD: Whitfield, Martin, Petracca, D.Smith, Taylor, King
(Cavarra, Budarick)
Want to know every ones thoughts and any suggestions you guys have.
Noble to Howe
Long to Rivers
TU: good idea
TD: silly to get rid of those 2
looks like a very good team Cobey, that defence is stacked! If I were you, I would hold Noble (cash generation) and down grade either Hurn or Laird (preferably Hurn) to get Howe. Not sure about BZT’s job security.
Depends on how much you have in bank, I am kicking myself for not starting Tom Stewart (cats). Average is elite, price steadily going up and projected another 120 against the blues this weekend. Started with Lloyd, amazing.
Nailed the forward premiums, well done. But Laithum Vandermeer played alright in Cavara’s role, so see if he gets picked or not, might have to move him on to a better place.
Cal Sinclair did a very good job against Bellchambers, so not sure how much TOG Naismith will get, and will the swans limit him after injury?
Hope this all helps, and just out of interest, what was your round 1 score? Wouldn’t have been too shabby
Howe will probably jump in price by $42000 – $60,000 scoring in the range of 100- 120 for week three then his price will flatten out because that score of 156 will slide out of 3 round average.
Noble and Long will only gain around $17,000 mark each scoring 60 and both had a 74 and 118 respectively in round 1 so that stunt their price rise week 4.
Should you consider Howe a keeper then this is the week to get him him even if you have to do two trades. Rivers averaging 60 every game will generate $160,000 by week 9. Long and Noble will not generate anywhere near that level of cash in the next 6 weeks.
Seemingly have a smidge of a dilemma having to choose between Sturt (if selected), for the cash grab, or Darcy Cameron with half the breakeven but valuable DPP ruck coverage, but still with price rises in the forward line.
What do you reckon guys?
TU : Cameron
TD : Sturt
JD, can’t guarantee that Sturt is going to turn in another 100 score. Small forward is more like 50 to 60. Cameron’s ruck cover is useful and should continue to score around 70 pts. I am looking at getting both in this week but if I can’t, then I will pass on Sturt. I think Cameron’s JS is quite good, he rucks better than Cox and has better game sense. Just needs to kick a couple of sausages and he will be right……M
think of it like this mate. If Cameron has a bad game, make that two bad games in a row, and Cox is 100% fit in 2 weeks let’s say, Cameron is either being sent to the bench, or not playing at all unless he becomes a good target up forward. So the fact that Cameron is a couple of bad games away from being axed, and Sturt has no real competition aside from his injury and is expected to rise by 60k next game, Sturt would be the best option.
What is more of a priority – keeping a job secure player who is loosing cash that will roughly equal the cash you gain on an insecure rookie trade, or wait a week on the rookie trade and get a secure 400 club mid price player on the up trend to replace the secure player on the down trend?
Note week 2 of “Our promising rookies” so far.
Only player I’m concerned about is MacPherson. Looking for this to be a F5-6 by end of season. Selection based on available cash atm;
TU – Simpkin (young, may be break out or early rounds flash in pan)
TD – Ebert (probably good for 80+ consistantly based on previous years)
I’ve been tossing up getting Pittonet for the sake of cash gen (if he gets to $500k it’s sideways for a premo or big cash injection elsewhere) and wether to get Howe or Bennell as the second trade (Robertson – Bennell, Laird – Howe) Is it worth the two trades this week or do I have bigger problems elsewhere than cash. Scoring has been decent so far but worried about the forward line
Is Macrae this years Dunkley?
Does Mitchell need to be watched like a hawk?
Do we know who Goldstein is?
Will we find a rookie who plays two good games in a row?
Hmmmmm……..(?)
My midfield is Neale,Mitchell,Merrett,Bontempelli,T,Kelly,Rowell,Pickett, Bennell. (Brown,Budarick,McHenry )
I’ve got 26 trades left is it worth trading out Mitchell >Gaff
And Trade Brown>Anderson
Thumb up: Go for it
Thumbs Down: Not worth it
Cheers…..
This week’s trades are doing my head in. I try to go all out for cash generation this time of year, and was originally thinking simply going Cavarra to D Cameron and T Green to Starcevich.
However Houston is a stain in my backline, so
T/U Cavarra to Cameron/Green to Starcevich…cash $6.4k
T/D Houston to Starcevich/Green to Cameron via DPP…cash $347.1k
Concerned that Houston will turn it around, but I’m 2-0 in most leagues and the cash left over allows me an uber upgrade next week, plus I still get the cash from Starcevich and Cameron.
anyway. Think I’ve talked myself into T/D
Houston has js. Just fix up your donuts on the bench if any. Get in bubble guys. Later on in the season id rather a sixty than a donut. Upgrade rookies first.
Great advice. I am stuck with Houston and Cerra in defence. Neither are good but neither are bad. I need to get rookies making money before I change these guys so I’m thinking of Cameron and Sturt in. Would love to have Pittonet but can’t afford to have those points and cash not on field…..M
Houston messing my team also. However I am comforted that he is getting midfield time.
Use your trade elsewhere, worse case scenario you end the season having paid overs for a D5/6.
Looking at a few different options this week. My current team looks like this:
Sicily, Crisp, Houston, Doch, Short, Starc (Brander, Gould)
Neale, Titch, Danger, Coniglio, Narkle, Rowell, Pickett, Bennel (Green, McInerney, Brown)
Grundy, Jacobs (Conroy)
Whitfield, Martin, Rozee, D Smith, Taylot, Gardner (Vandermeer, Budarick)
Dont judge the Narkle pick, he seemed like he could put out a few good scores early but unfortunately didnt. Now for trade options:
I really dont like Houston atm so I could make a Houston -> Rivers trade and then Jacobs -> Gawn
If not that trade, I’m focusing on 3 main players to trade in this week: Rivers, Pittonet and Sturt.
Thinking maybe a Gardner/Vandermeer -> Sturt and Jacob’s -> Pittonet. Or even a Green -> Rivers.
Not sure what the best plan of attack is though. Thoughts are appreciated 🙂
He will get Deboured this week so just except it and be mentally ready for it. a 90+ would be a great return. Should be good after that, only needs to score 80 pts and cd takes care of the rest lol.
Expecting De Boer to descend on him like a German hound, Dazz. Even if he goes to Macrae or Dunkley instead, the Giants actually had Perryman running a 2nd tag against the Roos last week. Hard to see a situation in which he doesn’t cop attention this week.
Fair enough. With that rank I’d go for it.
But that’s just me, not saying what you should do. But that being said Neale is the only guy I’d trade to in the mids.
Mids this year are under performing besides Neale.
I’d go bont to Lloyd. And loop a rookie to replace bont. ONLY SAYING THIS DUE TO RANK.
Please don’t take this as rock solid advice but a possible strategy.
Thanx for the advice TOF
I’ve already got Lloyd. But with Dusty out I decided to trade him for Walters. As for the Bont not sure if I’ll keep him . I guess I’ll wait for the team selections and then decide.
absolutely no clue on what to do people.
My original thoughts this round would be to trade:
Bont -> Danger, and Roberston-> Bennel
Backline I’ve got the unfortunate situation of both Houston and Brodie Smith, so now I’m stuck with the dilema of getting Howe in for one of them to get quick cash.
What one of my trades should i can to get Howe in? And am i over thinking the Danger move and just except the de Boer tag for Bont on Friday?
And now that Dusty ain’t playing, this week is going from bad to worse, just put him on the bench? Good.
T/U -> Yes, stick with plan A and trade Bont to Danger and Robertson to Bennel
T/D -> Nope, all wrong. Stick with Bont and use other trades to get Howe in for Houston/ B Smith (thinking Smith atm) and other to get Bennel.
Thanks people would love honest feedback, am rlly a rock in a hard place right now 🙂
If you have spare cash in bank for an upgrade yes. Otherwise to many points on bench.
If you have a dud non premium like a long, fort or cumming or any of those types should’t hurt since rookies are making more money.
I’ve had night to sleep on it, and I’m going with this:
Laird and Dusty OUT
Petracca and Stewart IN
Gives me $50K in the bank to go towards Jacobs to Gawn next week. It means I miss out on Sturt (if named), but I think I’m going to wait for Rankine there anyway. I don’t like trading out premiums, but we have the extra trades this year so hopefully it won’t hurt too much in the long run.
Gotta trade aggressively this year. I was contemplating trading Laird but Dusty out is the bigger concern. Especially with so many tempting replacements.
Ryder is obviously impacting Marshall’s scoring ability and Laird has been disappointing. Thinking 2 correction trades, whilst I can afford them – Marshall & Laird to Goldstein & Howe, thoughts?
TU go for it!
TD I’m crazy for sideways trading premos
Who knows Wighty.
Sturt needs goals to score, will probably drop a 30 this game. If he hadn’t scored that hundred would you even be considering him with other options around?
Cameron will probably average more over 5 games but get dropped for cox if he even gets that far.
I’d take camerons 70 and hope he backs it up and have his dpp there as a bonus.
Have the rookies but wanting to make money of Pittonet. Currently have ceglar/cameron swing. Thinking of moving cameron to forward bench for cavarra and pittonet into R3.
Ben longgg oh my
Tu; Trade
Td; Hold
Still has a fairly low break even Olie,I’d hold.
If hold to you start him or Sturt?
Zerk to Rivers
Combden to Cameron
Need to hold Houston otherwise i’ll miss rookie price rise =[
yeah – that’s the dilemma … not sure what to do. Also have Houston stinking up my def …
Macca…I have him too, but until there is a fattened cow or two he stays…not gonna do much damage from hereon I wouldn’t have thought. Trading him now would mean missing a Cameron/Starcevich/Rivers type…think their upside is more than Houston downside.
Laird is testing my patience and Sauce at R2 looks like a mistake, but I’ll (probably) just swap some rookies to build the bank.
Sturt and Cameron in (assuming they both play)
Some spuds out – Cavarra, Robertson and TBrown in the firing line
Brown may last another week … still some cash to make – albeit small …
He’s the 6th best breakeven which shows the shallow pickings…agree one more week then hopefully for Sturt if he misses another week.
T Brown tagged Dusty all night
Give him another chance
Bucks loves him so another reason to let him ride for the moment
Sauce to Pittonet
Sauce has English this week, should go ok.
Hold Laird
Yeah I’m worried about Laird. I got him for his consistency but reckon the shorter quarters is hurting him as he’s an accumulator rather than an impact player. Just not getting his hands on it enough to get to those 90-100 scores.
That, and the fact that the Crows are absolutely cooked in all respects.
I’m taking a serious look at all those forward line breakout contenders – Petracca, Rozee, Bailey Smith, Simpkin, Greenwood…
Sauce looks a mistake?
He ripped out a 134 in round one.
His BE this week is 21.
He’s up against Tim English this week.
Deep breath.
Grawn again starting to look the one not negotiable to start a season…Sauce and Naismith both traps.
Goldstein says hi
I like the boy….nearly as good as Grawn.
Looking at the following
Robertson to Bennell
Cavarra to Cameron
Already have Rivers and McHenry
At least we’ve got another 5 trades this week…oh wait….
Hello Nemesis 😉
Terrible 2nd half by our mob on Friday night!
Hehe.
We waited 3 months for that rubbish Catta! Just terrible mate.
Won’t want to dish that rubbish up Thursday night, the TV in the man cave may not be safe 😉
Ben long to Darcy Cameron
Cavara to sturt if named
Bank the cash for the following week?
Tu; sounds great
Td; Hold long
Dan Houston;
T/u – Trade
T/d – Hold
Can anyone that watched the Port game shed any light on his performance?
He played on the ball quite a bit from what I saw. Just didn’t seem a natural onballer. He is bound to pump out a big score at some point, almost certainly when we’ve all jumped off or lost a bundle of cash…
Depends on your rookie situation. He isn’t set to lose out on too much cash.
Going to use both trades this week, one to bring in a new team and the second to bring in a new owner to manage it.
One of the better comments this year !!! And I mean that with all sympathy for you JD
OUT – MacPherson, BZT
IN – Rozee, Rivers
Sideways wingard to bailey smith
Maybe Libba comes in this week which might push Bailey to a more outside roll, don’t trust the doggies.
Looking at two options:
TU : Houston + BZT out, Pittonet + Petrevski-Seton in.
TD: BZT + Cavarra out, Pittonet + Sturt in.
Let me know your thoughts, don’t know if I can stomach another week of Houston.
Should clarify, Pittonet would be at R3, using Comben’s DPP. Feel like he is likely to make 200k or up over the next month. Also, 3k off Howe, SPS is the best alternative and his DPP is nice.
I had planned for two of Rozee, Selwood and Howe but had no idea prices would change this week.
Defenders
H.Andrew , S.Docherty , S.Hurn ,J.Noble , J.Brander , T.Rivers (C.Graham,F.Mcasey)
Mids
N. Fyfe,P.Cripps,Macrae,C.Oliver,H.McCluggage, S.Walsh ,M.Rowell, M.Pickett (T.Green,T.Brown,H.Brayshaw)
Rucks
B.Grundy,M.Gawn (A.Smith)
Forwards
L.Whitfield , J.Ceglar,W.Snelling,B.Bewley,L.Schultz, M.King (R.Gardner,C.Budarick
Can someone help me out i don’t know who to trade out first. im thinking on fixing my forward line. help please
Focus on getting in the best rookies you can before their price rise. So probably Bennell for Green and Sturt for Gardner off the top of my head, but have a look at rookie threads on this site throughout the week for better suggestions
If Sturt is named then trade him in for T Green via Budarick.
Hello SCT Community,
Houston Sturt in ( if picked )
Trades done via dpp players
T/U … Great trades
T/D … Look elsewhere Catta
Cheers 🙂
Houston to Howe t/u
Houston to Haynes t/d
Alternatively ,
Cameron -> Pittonet for R3 and cash generation
T. Brown -> 102k mid (giving me a loophole option that I currently do not have).
Thoughts on this move community?
Pittonet has solid JS with no other ruckman pushing him out, Cameron on the other hand might be one bad game away from Cox coming back in!
At his price, Cameron is a luxury we can afford this year. Cox would need to show something that he doesn’t seem to have, to tip Cameron out at the moment. And Cameron will generate cash even if only in for two weeks or so.
Traded in Townsend last week to my mistake it seems
So I’m thinking of burning him this week to T.Berry (Bris) $123k FWD as a cash grab
My two trades this week
1- Townsend- T.Berry
2- B.Williams – T. Rivers (as a correction trade)
This will leave me with $170k in the bank for potential upgrade target… (Sauce to premium)
Townsend. Breakeven is Zero. And is a guarantee selection as long as the bombers keep winning.
Priced at 222k or so, scored 70, be zero….you are a hard marker !!
Don’t think I have enough rookies accumulating on bench. However Howe is tempting and Houston a worry.
TU – Rivers for BZT and Bennell for Robertson, or
TD – Howe for Houston and Bennell for Robertson
Should I trade Brodie Smith?
I have the same problem.
Think I’ll trade him though.
Crows look terrible.
Xerri-Pittonet (R3)
Brayshaw-Sturt if named
Brayshaw ended up going ok on the weekend but need the cash for Pittonet and the future cash gen
TU – good trades
TD – bad trades
In need of some cash
Houston -> howe
Houston -> Ridley
Leaning towards Ridley bc of the cash atm, not sure if it’s a trap
As a bombers fan, I have been watching Ridley for some time, and jumped on this week from BZT. Js is good and he takes a lot of those precious intercept marks, plus great disposal. I’d be disappointed if he didn’t average 80-90 over the season.
Wow, Wighty.
What a move! Nicely done.
Tks
McCluggage to Rozee
Bont or Yeo to Zerrett
TU trade Bont
TD trade Yeo
both to bring in Zach Merrett
Hold
hold both?
McRae to Neale
His the only thing setting me back from the pack
Or McRae will bounce back
I’d do it. Thinking about doing it myself. Main reason is McRae was more on the wing while the Bont, Dunk and Bailey Smith were at the centre bounces. Plus he’s set to drop more $ while Neale increases and less chance of making money during a shortened season.
Just realised Brisbane play West Coast so Neale will cop the Hutchison tag. Hmm . Hoping it’s an extra hard tag now.
Hutch won’t be playing
Houston & Green out
Petracca & Sturt in ( if picked )
T/U … Yes
T/D … No
Cheers Catta
Already dislike the look of Doedee after his first game for the year and his price is almost identical to cash cow Pittonet
My thoughts
Out: Doedee, Tom Green
In: Pittonet (R3), Sturt (if named)
T/U Yes
T/D No
Both of these can be done using DPP wizardry (Budarick, Brander and Cameron). Don’t really have other rookie problems to address
Will McAsey and Schultz lose money from here on in?
Where can we get BEs for next week?
Footywire.com used to show both BEs for fantasy and SC but this year, they only showing fantasy.
Any help with this would be great.
Cheers
BEs will be up tonight
McCullage to Rozee
Trade out B Smith, but to who? Sicily, Saad? Only could spend $503k
Could ditch T Green to say Bennell to free up another $43k
Already have Howe and Doc
Have a look at DBJ, I traded Roberton to him last week and am happy so far.
tom stewart
Jelly worries me
He was nowhere near the ball, two weeks in a row,
He seems to have a different role at GWS, don’t have kicked a goal since R21 2019!
TU: Side trade for Rozee via DPP (cash up)
TD: Hold
Thanks, Guys
Corrective: Laird to Howe?
TU worth it. Howe is the real deal.
TD hold. Laird will get back to premo level
So i ended up going with the 8 mid setup. It has it’s highs and lows from Neale to Bontempelli, but overall happy with how it’s running. I have grawndy, Docherty and DBJ to round out the team.

Or just save the trade, too many points on the bench.
How about Bont to Rowell. All those points are wasted on the bench. Then you have heaps of cash to start building your fwd line.
Should have done it last week if i was going to. Decided not to on the don’t trade premiums rule. Sticking by it. Surely bont has to dramatically improve simply because CD love the guy.
Hi all,
Have Grundy, Sauce and Darcy Cameron as Rucks 1,2 and 3.

got both Houston and B Smith
What one should i trade out and when? Used one of this weeks trades to get Danger in for Bont, and was going to use the other to get Bennel in.
t/u -Use second trade to get rid of Smith/Houston to Howe,
t/d -Use second to get Bennel in
Appreciate feedback on which was to trade out
Who will average more from here to seasons end?
T/u Laird
T/d Howe
ok I have english and i dont know wtf to do with him bc i cant get him to gawn now. Anybody got a clue?
Downgrade him to Pittonet, let him fatten up and then you can eventually do a double downgrade and get Gawn in.
Wholeheartedly agree. Use it as a chance to get some more cash in your kitty to make some improvements elsewhere.
Sideways Trade Jelly to Fyfe?
TU: Yes
TD: No
Tempted to sideways trade Laird to Howe, Jelly to Fyfe as correctional trades.
TU: Pull the trigger now or forever hold your peace
TD: DONTDOITMAN!

Anyone hoping Bont turns it around won’t be happy that Deboer will most likely keep him to under 50 this week just to cheer you up.
Wait !….I can hear the Gods calling …….
Sounds a lot like …….Zerrett !!!
To cut my losses with Houston and put in a rookie forward such as M King?
Who will make more?
Pittonet TU
Naismith TD
Personally thinking Pittonet as can’t trust Naismith body….
I need help. Can’t decide between these two
TU. Connor Rozee. (Port)
TD. Bailey Smith (WBD)
Thanks again
Both are must haves. ASAP.
Got to get Gawn but no cash. So this week Nic Nat to Pittonet to start building cash. TU yes TD no
Cant win without him.
Gawn that is.
Darcy Cameron TU
Max king TD
Depends what you’re looking for, John. Cameron’s got more upside, but King’s job security is rock solid.
Tu: petracca
Td: greenwood
Hope this helps
What is more of a priority – keeping a job secure player who is loosing cash that will roughly equal the cash you gain on an insecure rookie trade, or wait a week on the rookie trade and get a secure 400 club mid price player on the up trend to replace the secure player on the down trend?
Note week 2 of “Our promising rookies” so far.
This is not related to your question JD, you must type quicker than me.
Moving Brodie Smith on.
Going to Doc or Howe would be the sensible move.
Just wanted to see what people think of Lachie Weller as Def POD?
Gotta be Howe
Already have Grundy Gawn in the ruck. Is it worth grabbing pittonet at r3 to generate some good cash?
TU: do it
TD: cheaper rookie options out there with just as good cash generation
Comment: who are those rooks?
God it’s good to have footy back.
Is Tom Mitchell a Trade Out with that shoulder concern?
Think they said he’s not missing any games for it. But he’s had it for week’s, so should get better soon.
thank lord don’t want to trade titch haha
TU Rivers
TD Bennell
Thanks
What should I prioritise?
TU Drop B Smith for say Stewart
TD Drop Bont for Neale
Comment for Naismith to Pittonet
Thoughts appreciated:
T/U: Bailey Smith
T/D: Jy Simpkin
Simpkin obviously around $20K cheaper.
Thanks!!
Was duped by Dawson’s run home last year, and feel in his current role he has to go. I already have Howe, Sicily, Docherty
TU Stewart
TD Clark
Stewart out of those 2. Lloyd?
Too expensive sadly
TU: Petraca
TD: ROzee
I think you need both of them.
Tu: Jy Simpkin & Cash
Td: Rozee
Thoughts appreciated:
T/U: Laird to Howe & Long to Jy Simpkin/Bailey Smith
T/D: Laird to Petrevski Seeton & Long to Rozee.
My only dilemma this round – thank you everyone!
Have the following players
Looking to definitely do Nit Nat > Pittonet as my first trade, need help with the 2nd.
Tom Lynch
Ben Long
Tom Doedee
Toby Greene
Dan Houston
Thinking:
Tu: Long < 400-500k Fwd
Td: Doedee < Sicily / Stewart
Comment suggestions.
stewart
Tu: Doedee -> Jordan Ridley & cash / cash generation
Td: Doedee -> Stewart
Only player I’m concerned about is MacPherson. Looking for this to be a F5-6 by end of season. Selection based on available cash atm;
TU – Simpkin (young, may be break out or early rounds flash in pan)
TD – Ebert (probably good for 80+ consistantly based on previous years)
don’t be fooled by Ebert, old body having a couple of good games ain’t mean he’s the bees knees mate
Who to flog off Houston to?
TU DBJ
TD SPS
Comment any others under 500k besides Howe
Stuck with a couple trades and got 300k in the bank, current lineup stands at:
Def: Stewart, Laird, Doc, Noble, Starch, Rivers (Brander, Watson)
Mid: Neale, McRae, Cripps, Jelly, Viney, Rowell, Pickett, McInerny (Brown, Robertson, Close)
Rucks: G&G (Conroy)
Fwd: Whitfield, Martin, Smith, Taylor, King, Budarick (Georgiades, Sturt)
I’ve been tossing up getting Pittonet for the sake of cash gen (if he gets to $500k it’s sideways for a premo or big cash injection elsewhere) and wether to get Howe or Bennell as the second trade (Robertson – Bennell, Laird – Howe) Is it worth the two trades this week or do I have bigger problems elsewhere than cash. Scoring has been decent so far but worried about the forward line
Cheers
Smelli
Is Macrae this years Dunkley?
Does Mitchell need to be watched like a hawk?
Do we know who Goldstein is?
Will we find a rookie who plays two good games in a row?
Hmmmmm……..(?)
Curtis Taylor has scored a 78 and 79 and looks cemented in North’s fwd line for the foreseeable future.
Thanks Roo Bloke, noted. (i have ‘im)
…..and to add to the above list……
Could Robertson and Doedee be related? LOL
….and who should i partner with our Goldy
Tu Grundy
Td Gawn
Nic Nat to Pittonet??
I think he will make a stack of coin
Can we please have another five trades this week ???
Or is that too much Oliver Twist ??
Tsk Tsk, bit greedy 3 would be fine, and 3 next week an’,………..
McCluggage + BZT > Merret + Rivers
TU Good
TD Bad
What does everyone think with Bont? Keep or sideways to someone like Neale
I’d upgrade to Neale, Fyfe or Gawn or hold him. Has a rough run but will come good.
Looks like taking Patton was a mistake: should I trade to Pittonet?
TU yes
TD no
TU: Trade Laird
TD: Hold and or save trade
My midfield is Neale,Mitchell,Merrett,Bontempelli,T,Kelly,Rowell,Pickett, Bennell. (Brown,Budarick,McHenry )
I’ve got 26 trades left is it worth trading out Mitchell >Gaff
And Trade Brown>Anderson
Thumb up: Go for it
Thumbs Down: Not worth it
Cheers…..
Nic Nat, up or down trade?
Up: Nic Nat to Goldy, Davis to Simpkin
Down: Nic Nat to Pittonet, Houston to cripps.
Thoughts on these trades
TU. NitNat to Pittonet & Longer to F4 premium.
TD. Use single trade to just get Cameron in.
My rather disappointing team at the moment:
Crisp, Houston, Doch, Noble, Cumming, BZT, Brander, Rivers
Cripps, Titch, Dunks, Bont, Cogs, Hanners, Rowell, Pickett, McInerney, Bennell, Starcevich
Grundy, Jacobs, Xerri
Martin, Wingard, Brayshaw, D Smith, Schultz, Taylor, King, Budarick
Was planning to trade Xerri and Schultz for Pittonet and Sturt to build more cash in future rounds.
Next week trade out Bont and Cumming for Rozee or Tracca or Bailey Smith via DPP to bolster my shitty FWD line and Howe to help my shitty defenders
Thoughts/comments please.
Thanks
Keep the team as is for this round. It’s perfect. Change it only after I’ve smashed you in our H2H!!
Tu: Tom Stewart
Td: Hurn
Sound advice TOF which is why my strategy includes two new rookies, and a cash bank for a fallen premo next week. Dusty out requires a rethink.
Thinking maybe a Gardner/Vandermeer -> Sturt and Jacob’s -> Pittonet. Or even a Green -> Rivers.
Not sure what the best plan of attack is though. Thoughts are appreciated 🙂
Hey Hazza.
I personally think you should look at getting both Rivers and Darcy Cameron into your side.
Both are promising rookies and should have decent JS and cash making potential.
I’m going to loophole Sauce and play Cameron at R2 if he spuds it. ( I went Comben with DPP for R3 )
I like Pittonet, but I’m going to give Sauce one more week V the Doggies. It will also give me a chance to see if Pitto can back it up.
Cheers with whatever you decide.
Looking at making changes to my underperforming backline.
Currently have Houston, Docherty, B. Smith, Doedee, Noble & Starcevitch (Rivers, Brander)
Leaning towards bringing in Luke Ryan although also considering Stewart or Sicily. Will give Doedee another week but his heads also on the block.
T/U B. Smith > L. Ryan
T/D Houston > L. Ryan
need to move on underperforming houston
who is better option
T/U: Howe/Ryan and Pittonet
T/D Starevich and Gawn
currently have Grundy, Naismith, Comben
Trade out The Bont
Thumbs up yes
Thumbs down No
Cheers…..
He will get Deboured this week so just except it and be mentally ready for it. a 90+ would be a great return. Should be good after that, only needs to score 80 pts and cd takes care of the rest lol.
Ha ha I’m trying to keep away from that trade button but it’s hard not to be tempted. I’m currently ranked 369 overall.
Cough splutter….very happy with my pod McGrath..lol
Nice one wighty it was either Starting with McGrath or Merrett. I went with Merrett.
Nice Dazz…I might yet get Zach, but already have ridley and smith as well.
Good one Wighty with Ridley also. I need to watch him for a few more weeks before I get tempted.
Thanks people would love honest feedback, am rlly a rock in a hard place right now 🙂
Considering dusty out
TU: Naismith to gawn and martin to rivers
TD: bench dusty and Naismith to pittonet
Very uncertain
trade out
Nic Nat for Pittonet
houston for rampe
martin for rozee
can do 2 of those 3 but which 2? if any?
Not 100% sold on Rozee as a must trade in. Good in those easy matchups
Is pittonet worth getting as a R3?
Bold moves but gotta risk it for the biscuit!
Gotta trade aggressively this year. I was contemplating trading Laird but Dusty out is the bigger concern. Especially with so many tempting replacements.
Dusty out for
TU Rozee
TD Petracca
I’m giving Dusty one week, and getting in the last rookies I need. If he’s out next week, welcome Petracca.
Or Dusty to a premo Def via DPP
TU Howe
TD Stewart
Thanks coaches. So many options and possible strategies this year!
need help with late changes
T/U -Robertson -> Bennell and Xerri -> Cameron
T/D – Robertson -> Bennell and Houston – > Howe
I’m not sure about houston but i need the cash from the rookies, another alternative is getting rid of jacobs for pittonet to gain a heap of cash
I’d sack Jacobs for Pittonet.
Thanks, do i get Bennell or Cameron then, or even get rid of BZT for rivers?
BZT -> Rivers.
Doedee to Bailey Smith (DPP swap)
Noble to Starcevich
TU: Good
TD: Awful
maybe a different move?
dusty to bennell
nic nat to gawn
t/u – go for it
t/d – you idiot
Pull the trigger, Red5. Gawn’s got Bellchambers, Stanely and Sinclair in the next 3 weeks. He’ll body them all.
Could be chaos tonight if more than one unexpected gun out other than Dusty. Thats what makes this game so much fun !!!
TU – Brodie Smith & Naismith to Petracca & Pittonet
TD – B.Smith & Cavarra to Pittonet & Sturt
Will swing Brander down back in any case
T.U Dusty & Doedee to Neale&Sturt. T.D Dusty&Noble to Neale&Sturt
Do prices rises occur after a player has played 2 rounds this year?
T/U- yes
T/D – no, still 3 rounds like normal
B. Smith -> J.Howe
J.Ceglar -> M.Pittonet
T/U- good grades
T/D – keep Ceglar he will score big this year
hold ceglar for one more round i reckon, unless he’s your r2 then trade
Do 1 games players values go up this week?
Yes…if they play.
TU: Houston + Xerri for Ridley + Pittonet (@ R3)
TD: Houston + Sauce for Rivers + Gawn
Also considering Houston + Xerri for Rivers + Pittonet to go all in on cash generation
Need to fix my backline, any suggestions or help appreciated! Likely have to trade BZT to another over-priced rookie, or Houston to a premium I think.
Lloyd, Docherty, HOUSTON, Starcevich, ZERK-THATCHER, Noble, Rivers
TU: trade out Houston
TD: trade out BZT
TU: martin and naismith for pittonet and howe
TD: martin and naismith for gawn and rivers/sturt
is dan buttler worth it?
hes looking to make cash
TU Jye Simpkin
TD Sam Sturt + Cash
Cheers
Does sturt make the cut ?? Its him or Cameron for my second trade.
T/U Sturt
T/D Cameron
Sturt named on the HFF, so my guess is he’s playing
I chose Sturt over Cameron as my last trade after seeing Sturt starting
Who knows Wighty.
Sturt needs goals to score, will probably drop a 30 this game. If he hadn’t scored that hundred would you even be considering him with other options around?
Cameron will probably average more over 5 games but get dropped for cox if he even gets that far.
I’d take camerons 70 and hope he backs it up and have his dpp there as a bonus.
Ive got 4 donuts up FWD – Dusty, Greene, Cavarra & Davis. First trade is Cavarra to Sturt. What to do with Toby Greene?
TU – Greene to Pittonet, play Cameron FWD
TD – Greene to Petracca
Comment:
Rozee, Greenwood
Rozee.
Pittonet (R3)
Bennel
Sturt
bringing in two of them – my only question is which two???
Bennel & Pittonet.
Thoughts on these two trades,
TU – NitNat to Pittonet, Long to F4 Petracca…
Bank has $110k for upgrades later.
TD – NitNat to Pittonet, Non playing FWD rookie to Cameron…
Longer eventually will become F6.
Bank has $274k For upgrades later
Tu: Trade Toby Greene
Td: Hold/ trade Long >Sturt then Houston >Lloyd
Current forwards:
Walters, Petracca, DSmith, Greene, Long, CTaylor- King, Cavarra.
With only 3k itb was originally thinking trading Long to Sturt and Upgrading Houston to Lloyd.?
Jack Steven is in. Parfitt out
who to bring in for Cavarra?
TU: Bennell
TD Cameron
Thanks guys
Have the rookies but wanting to make money of Pittonet. Currently have ceglar/cameron swing. Thinking of moving cameron to forward bench for cavarra and pittonet into R3.
TU: do it
TD: you have cameron dont be greedy.
It’s a short season. Trades aplenty. My advice, go with the gut, not the stats.
This round I’ve gone Dusty into Bennell and Nic Nat into Gawn.
It’s a strange season, calling for strange trades.
Go with the gut …..
