Not that easy mate, some people have rookies that need to go and would rather chop them first. At the end of the day with only 2 trades a round it can be very difficult to move on a fallen premo.
Gotta agree there. He’s getting worse as the season goes, putting up barely better than rookie scores. And losing bulk value in the process. At least a rookie isn’t losing so much cash.
This coming week looks like being his low point, so having held him this long, I’m holding as it would take two trades to convert him to a premo. An at least he suits bye rounds. Poulter would be the obvious down grade but his bye stinks.
problem with trading cripps out now is you lock in his cash loss- i keep thinking he’ll bounce back and at least climb to his original price but it doesn’t look like happening- one thing i can guarantee if i do trade him out this week he’ll ton up!
After how this week went, I was considering whether Daniel and Williams were viable premos. Daniel made a recovery when returned to his normal position with a 63 point 4th quarter.
Williams however with only 27 points overall, that just makes me wonder whether he is worth to hold or should he be offloaded for someone like Ridley, due to injuries/scores.
The way it seems, it is an absolute landslide for Williams to be removed. Now it looks to be someone who can be consistent and I won’t have to worry about due to the amount of trades that have been used already this season.
Just found this from the press conference
Teague: “He (Williams) hurt something today, I don’t think it was bad. The message up the line was he was OK. I don’t even know what part of the body it was.”
That now surely makes me feel he has to go as he seems to be glass
Not really. Collingwood are stuffed for forwards and he was -ve BE *before* this weekends 92. Average of 98.3 in last 3 weeks, average of 88.2 since he started his season.
That’s near as dammit premium territory for a forward this year.
It’s significantly better than Dangerfield, Sidebottom and plenty of others that people are still calling “premiums”.
Just thought I’d throw that up there because preconceptions aren’t exactly working out the way people thought in 2021.
I sure never thought I’d be running Impey and Ziebell as my premium forwards in 2021, but I wasn’t so stuck in my ideas as to ignore their form.
He’s scored 295 in the last 3 weeks. Dusty has scored 104 in the same time, and has a 159 breakeven.
Aaron Hall is someone I would consider strongly.
I started with Phillips and could not watch him butchering the ball so traded to Hind after rd3.
At least Phillips 70 is better than fielding a rookie but its hard watching him!
Cameron looked good against north but who doesn’t? He does some good relieving ruck work too but I don’t think he will score well against the better teams
I’m not sure what trades I’ll be doing but my strategy will be trading out players like Sharp Brockman, Downie, Maccrae, Treacy, Flynn etc.
I had one bench player playing which is just not going to cut it during the bye rounds.
Looking at the sides that I opposed this round most are in the same position.
Cash generation is compulsory and players cant do that from the magoos
Cash generation is a huge problem this year. So many non playing or not very good rookies clogging up our squads, but to get rid of them all for little/no gain is going to be a killer. Poulter seems a good target this week but they are few & far between. Freddy would’ve been a good one but the medi sub shenanigans ruined that.
I suspect the byes are going to be an absolute donut-fest this year, and come late season, a full premium team is going to be impossible. I’m already looking at guys like Heppell & Daniher as keepers. It’s a very grim season.
Yet people are prepared to hold out of form and injured players, lose 200k on them, and then trade them out…
But are still stuck on guys like Cripps and Williams being premiums.
Heppell and Daniher were smart choices at the beginning of the season, and even if you’ve picked them up recently they’re performing better than most players that were 100k higher priced.
I can’t see how I can make any trades this week or else I’ll be out by the byes, so will probably just have to hunker down and start planning season 2022….
Darcy Moore has bottomed out in price after a few quiet weeks in the forward line. Is now at $365k and has returned to the backline, scored 130 this week and doesn’t look like he’ll be moving from defence again. Is averaging 103.8 in his games as a defender this year.
Big dilemma for me this week. I have 6 DNPs sitting on my bench which is going to leave me short of a best 18 players during the byes. Do I trade out some of these DNPs (eg. Sharp, Highmore, Flynn, Brockman) to warm bodies to get some chance of fielding a full team during the byes? Or do I trade out playing rookies who have maxed out their cash generation (eg. Warner, Gulden, Rowe)
T/U: Get rid of the non-playing rookies
T/D: Maximise cash gen – you’re going to need it!
They’re both on the bubble though, so the d/g won’t generate as much cash the week after. Yes, you’re missing out on some points but unless there is an abundance of rookies that debuted this week, it probably makes more sense to grab good rookies when they’re available.
Q. what did poulter score in his first game and who was it against?
A. 53 v Suns
I remember everybody drooling over RCD after he got an 80 against Dogs but everybody jumped off when he put up his 40 odd against the cats.
80 v the roos isn’t indicative of a moneymaker and 53 against the suns isn’t a suggestion of anything other than another Rowe = unpredictable as to whether he’ll be a hero or potatoe slow burner.
Trading a Warner or similar for Poulter a few weeks out from byes is asking for trouble.
Supercoach players chasing points doesn’t seem to be getting the same lambasting that it usually gets, why is that?
I have a bad memory so if all those who called me a fool before R1 for suggesting Ziebell, Impey, Jiath, Warner, Daniher, Tex & Hickey were astute starting selections could apologise for being sheep without any SC intellect I’d appreciate it.
I can remember the most outspoken being Chillo & Gunboat who both still acting like experts
I traded Mills over Lloyd last week because he was slightly cheaper (now the same) and had the slightly better average. He then pumped out 145 for me. Yep that’s who I voted for.
I favour consistency, It’s a matter of set & forget for me so I’ve taken Lloyd for that reason & having only 2 games in the mid & high 90’s to blot his copy book with, while Mills has had 3 under the ton so far, with two of them being in the 80’s.
Mills would be for ceiling & midfield reasons I guess !
He was 3% ownership and Loyd 35% and Mills was $100K cheaper.
It was a gamble that could of backfired, but has paid off so far.
With lloyd you know what you get, solid and super consistent.
It’s really hard to read how Horse will play Mills.
He has been mostly playing mid, but sometime has a run with role. I think with his defensive mindset, they like to play him on Mids that tend to get forward. ( Petracca last week )
I think you could easily look at having both post Byes.
ROB doing my head in. Posted three tons in a row and now 60 and 54. Against Nicnat in Perth this week so I’m thinking a straight luxury trade of each other, which I hate doing.
Second option is a cash gen Gulden-Poulter or similar
Anyone looking at De Goey? If he was at his current price at the start of a season I think many of us would start with him. Hasn’t had a great season yet but at 296k with a break even of 5, I am having a cheeky look, especially with how thin the forward line is.
Depends how screwed your season is looking. If you want to go balls to the wall, it could be a good play. If you want to be safe, steer clear. Given the lack of playing rookies generating money for us this year, I foresee a lot more risk taking with underpriced injury-prone players coming up (exhibit A: Isaac Heeney)
Thoughts on bringing D.Moore in at 366 k???? as a D6 there could be much worse. He seems like his JS is back for defence where he scored 130 on the weekend?
T/U – Good Pick
T/D – Nahhh, get a premo
Current defence consists of Stewart, Laird, Ridley, Short, Alliir, Kozi, Chapman, Highmore. Would be stright swap from chapman as i have some coin the bank.
Brought Lyons in a few weeks ago, even put the C on him last round, can’t believe but am liking only 2% own him, Poulter looks a good down grade, though I will be hanging onto Warner at the moment (at least he’s playing and scoring) and getting rid of one off my non playing bench
Fullarton gonna get some games anytime soon
TU: yes
TD: no
Either i trade him to rcd (whuch allows scott to play on field rather than my pissweak fwd rooks atm) and that means i have berry as an extra man through the byes
Or i cash in on berry but may mean donuts in some bye rds
Powell’s still likely to go up a bit more in price with a BE of 56 this week. Definitely don’t have to cull Cripps but it’s hard to trade Powell out over him sadly
Maybe instead of Warner, trade Flynn, swing Fullerton to the ruck bench and bring in Marshall. Can then swap Fullerton with Marshall for ruck backup. Just a thought.
Thinking about trading out Saad/Cripps for RCD/Poulter via dpp. Would have $600k in the bank then.
Tossing up whether to cut some dead promo weight and upgrade next week or whether to trade some DNP bench rookies. Could even hold for a week but looking to maximise cash gen
Current team is
Mills, Ridley, May, Saad, Jiath, Murphy (L.Jones, Highmore)
I would think Saad has to go as he is not a keeper and has a breakeven of 128.
Have you looked at Saad to Poulter via Laird. Generates some cash.
Jordan can be in your 22. Leave at that or do a second trade and upgrade to a fallen premium anywhere.
Shai Bolton has a broken wrist and will miss 2-3 weeks. He and Daniel Rioli have been involved in a fight at a nightclub over the weekend.
According to 9NewsMelb
Richmond FC statement: “Bolton became involved in the ensuing altercation and sustained a fractured wrist that will require surgery. He will be sidelined for the next 2 to 3 weeks.”
Ok so firstly, I think I owe everybody on this forum a big apology for my big outbursts a few weeks ago.
I have a few mental conditions (to probably no one’s surprise, but couldn’t be assed explaining them). Through a couple of those I can become very easily stressed, anxious and irritated over not so big things and anything that I take a huge emotional investment in, Supercoach being one of them.
I think at the time I just wanted to rant and rant and let things of my chest. It ended up being something a lot more toxic than a rant, and I ended up looking like a big psychopathic wanker. I took my anger out on other people (even though a couple of people didn’t help at all by acting like smart allics, I gotta say), whereas I probably should’ve just taken that anger out on myself instead of troubling others with my BS in the first place.
I think I needed a couple weeks break, which I took. To my surprise, my team hadn’t YET ended up in shambles. But tonight has caused me a couple of issues that I’m not sure what direction I should be taking.
If people don’t want to help after what happened a few weeks back, that’s fine. You’re not obliged to help me, you can let me suffer to your liking (and feel free to be upfront about that).
But I’ll put my current side up anyway in case someone decides to want to give some help here
Thing that sucks here, is that I traded in Bolton and Murphy in last round :/ And unfortunately that’s not the first time that’s happened to me this year (Lost Jones and Hickey the week after I brought them in).
My original trade thoughts were gonna be Warner and Highmore/Jones out for Poultier and Hartley (risky pic here, but I got a good feeling about him) with $97k remaining. But now that Bolton is out with the wrist injury from protecting Rioli, I don’t know if I should stick with the trades I went for originally, or look at something else.
If it is something else you think would be better, who should I be looking at for my trades this week?
Hey Corey, I don’t think any coaches want you to suffer to their liking, it’s not that kind of site. I wouldn’t bring in Hartley, he’s not a keeper, has no job security and with your trades left you are not going to be able to utilise the cash generation. I’d trade Bolton, even though it sucks after just bringing him in. If he is out for 3 with the bye you only get 1 game in the next 5 weeks. Bolton for Poulter, then either Jones or Highmore for any uber defender you like. Leaves you with a strong defence, strong mid and weak forward line. Which I think a lot of coaches are running.
Hey Corey, agree with Matt’s comment about this site. Glad that you can apologise and move on. I have the same Bolton problem, damn it. Was enjoying his good scores and low ownership!
I am worried it will be more than 2-3 weeks. Will be keen to hear updates on this during the week. If 3 weeks he comes back for 1 game before bye, so they may just rest him anyway. That makes it 5 weeks on the bench. Don’t think I can do that.
This together with Titch only being $27K higher, great 3 round matchup, BE of 60 and a proven premo mid. Thinking Bolton is a must trade and Titch a must get.
Rowe can cover on field fwd.
I get what you’re saying, but I always hate having a weak forward line. Because there’s never been much good options in the last few years. Having big injuries this year doesn’t help. I feel that having a decent forward keeps me a step forward ahead of everyone.
My fear with doing this is that I won’t end up having a full strength forward come the end of this year because I’ve kept having to downgrade people getting injured.
Agree with Matt. I think you’ve got to trade Bolton given you’d have to otherwise field Rowe against Eagles (A), Demons (H) and probably Tigers (A). Three tough opponents, all elite backlines, two of them away from home. Wouldn’t want to roll the dice with him on field in any of those match ups.
So trade Bolton to whichever FWD works for your bye structure; Marshall, Sidebottom, Zorko, Hall, etc.
That then leaves you with a donut at D6 on account of Murphy, Jones and Highmore – dw I’m in a similar position and so are many others. Is a replacement who will score 50~ (Khamis, Edwards, etc.) with shaky JS that won’t net you any cash worth a trade? Probably not imo.
Think you could cop a strategic donut there, then go Warner -> Poulter. That’ll give you a bank of 300k~ (factoring in Bolton replacement) for next week, which should probably be used for another FWD.
Frawley to return this week, Geary in the VFL, Joyce solid last week.
If he didn’t come in weeks prior after a BOG VFL performance when Long was terrible or Joyce average, then he never will.
Give some thought to a tactical donut, Corey. Not ideal, but better than grabbing a makeshift replacement that only causes more trouble down the line.
With the plan I laid out, you’d have Murphy back the week after and 300k ITB.
Anyway, between Stephen, Matt, Gaz and I there’s plenty of options for you to toss up. Let them stew over the week, wait on teamsheets and then back yourself in.
Hey Cory, think you may be right with this move!
I think I’m blinded by the T Mitchell trade in at all costs myself this week. Love to get in a proven high averaging mid at below their value at this stage of the season. The fwds this year are rough, so going up down back does make more sense.
I have a strong(ish) team, current rank 1743. But this week I will be fielding Scott, Rowe and Warner in fwds, not ideal but this season is hardest of all (I have been playing this games since it started!).
With their JS don’t think any fwd rookies need to be traded yet. Of course they are high risk of a “rest week” but if you run with fwd/mid swing like Poulter you can always cover.
Question now is which premo back you get in. Ridley/Lloyd/Mills likely top 6 you don’t have. Good luck choosing, but going cheapest will give more options in latter trades, so its Rids for me.
I usually try to find a consistent player when trading in a premo. In this case I’d go with Lloyd.
Even though Mills has the better average, Lloyd I find is more consistent with reaching 100+ each week. I think 95 is Lloyd’s lowest and the rest have been 100s, whereas Mills is 84 and has another 80+ and 90+ up his sleeve. Obviously Mills has shown though when he reaches the three figures, he goes big.
Ridley’s last few games have been 31 (caused by the injury he had), 87 and 84. As tempting as his price is, those last couple of scores in particular kinda worry me. Also his BE is 119, so he’s most likely to lose a little bit more cash.
I will say though, Rich looks very tempting too. Not only with his score, but he’s only in 4% of teams too.
Hi Corey welcome back and please make sure you look after yourself. GD is spot on imo. Get in Poulter and move Bolton to titch. Don’t worry about a donut. I can assure you everybody will have them in the buys. If they don’t they will be wasting to many trades and donut is only costing 50 points. Titch will make that up on his own for ya.
If regards to forward line Martin is my only premium and not looking to upgrade till other lines sorted as their is no one worth it. It is working well for me.
You look after you and take care.
Hmm. I think a hold on Bolton could be okay there, SH.
An extra one of those rookies on field is serviceable. All you’d need to do is be upgrading and generating points on other lines while you’ve got Bolton benched.
Bolton’s averaging 93 (call it 95), Bergman/Poulter come on field and do 55~, -40 points, but you save a trade and hang onto Bolton for the rest of the season.
That-40 points can be accounted for if you, say, finish up your DEF or grab another premo MID over the coming weeks and, of course, drill your VC/C each week.
He’s got Eagles in Perth, top of the table Demons and then the Tigers at the G. All of those opponents have excellent backlines with strong lock down defenders and the Crows will get pounded in all three.
Hey guys thoughts on what to do
T/U – Trade B. Campbell for Rowan Marshall and maximise on-field scoring and hope my cover is good enough
T/D – Trade Cripps for Tom Mitchell and have the same amount of premiums but still cover for the byes ifCampbell plays
thoughts –
TU- trade bolton down to poulter and with the $403k upgrade kossy to a premium (mills-doing very well) or upgrade robertson to Macrae (not hot)
TD- back down from cashing in and use the money another week and save trades (I still have 21 trades, so I’d be down to 19)
cheers boys
Rozee was on fire in the Marsh Series, then injured. Looked good last week albeit v Adl. Sidey & Zorko don’t look great so far this year. Slim pickings up Fwd
Thanks GD – some food for thought, byes make it hard to grab Marshall and Sidey and Dale too to some extent but cheers for the feedback , appreciate it.
Been grappling with ROB for two days now. Given todays weather, I’m looking at lots of time to consider options.
ROB plays Nicnat in Perth this week, and is looking at a 50k price fall. If he doesn’t go this week it will limit future options.
So
T/u ROB and Gulden out..Nicnat and Poulter in.
T/d ROB and Gulden out..Campbell and Parish in.
The later allows Marshall to go into ruck, twice the flexiblity with ruck dpp’s and much better byes structure. Downside is I miss Poulter but my rookies are doing fine.
Comment re Parish alternatives at same price not playing R14
Taranto and Titch are both scoring more for less than Parish. If you think J Kelly is back in a good role and won’t be injured again he’s also a decent option. Gaff and T Kelly are both out of the box picks but have that potential to be legit premos and then if you don’t have Zorko, you could bring him in as a mid and swing him fwd later.
Sound advice Johnno. Got Titch and Zorko…Jelly is on my never again list as he gets hurt too often. Nothing between the other three..only 35 SC pts over eight rounds. Reckon Taranto the other option…..Gaff can go low and both Taranto and Parish attend CBA’s.
I’m sure I’ll chose the wrong way…have every time so far this year !! Might wait and see match ups.
G’day wighty. If I was you I would shelve plans on nit Nat. I know you have had a bad run with injuries and I think nit Nat is also injury prone. Good luck
But what i cant decide is should i use the second trade to secure Poulter?
I have 19 trades before i use any this week with jones and waterman on my fwd bench but i want to start saving some trades. but at the same time, good rookies that play each week are hard to find, especially with bye rounds approaching.
So my question is:
TU – use the second trade this week to secure Poulter.
TD – save the trade, there will be other rookies, trades are more valuable.
Wighty he copped a knock right at the end of last week’s game. They interviewed him 5 minutes later and he said it was a corky. Unless it bled badly would think he would be ok.
I have a bad memory so if all those who called me a fool before R1 for suggesting Ziebell, Impey, Jiath, Warner, Daniher, Tex & Hickey were astute starting selections could apologise for being sheep without any SC intellect I’d appreciate it.
I can remember the most outspoken being Chillo & Gunboat who are both still acting like experts, and have probably bought in at least 3 of my tips. Maybe they should qualify each of their comments with “I am a sheep and don’t have any ideas other than those of the flock but I like to thing I’m better than you are.”
Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak, and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.
Humility in triumph/success is a great attribute to have, and many say the true measure of a man….try it some time Bucks. This site is a means for folks to give their opinions and exchange thoughts……not for anyone to indulge in self-gratification.
As I won’t even type it in to find out where you are ranked but I will go into rankings and just scroll down as I gather I will find it very quickly in the Top 100 overall. We will all then be able to follow your team with great interest.
Just for the record your starting line up is one part of the game but trading wisely is even more important so I would personally like to watch how you go about it as it sounds like you are an absolute SuperCoach Gun.
FWD:
Ziebell – Impey – Daniher – Warner – Scott – Poulter (Brockman/Macrae)
BANK: 324,200
At this stage I’m very aware that my FWD line is weak but I am reluctant to trade in anyone at the moment as I feel the premiums are lacklustre. More interested in seeing what I could get when Butters/Danger are back and Dusty has dropped in price some more.
Desperately want Lyons in my side but will require me moving Warner and Berry for Lyons and Owies. While I don’t mind moving Warner I am also reluctant due to the lack of rookies coming through at the moment. Have also considered a straight Berry to Jelly trade. My only other option would be Brockman to Ridley via DPP trade but I am also unsure if I want to take that given his current form and losing some of his scoring potential to Redman. Considering holding out and seeing if Mills is a reachable upgrade.
T/U – Warner and Berry to Lyons and Owie
T/D – Berry to Jelly
Comment – response to my other ideas or one of your own

It makes me weep when I see teams with 15 or 16 premos, cash in the bank , trades in hand and dreadful dilemmas about which upgrade to do next. Like most, I have been decimated by injury and have paid the price for a couple of bad decisions.
What I thought were sound initial selections in Dangerfield, Neale, Rowell ( at least he scored me 6 points), Dunkley and PODs Duggan and Young have all disappeared.
I am grateful for my core who have kept me sane with their consistency, the two behemoths in the ruck, Steele, Laird, Walsh, Merrett and Zeibell. Thanks to the three young swans plus Jordan and Powell for filling gaps and generating cash. Also appreciate the occasional boost I get from Kosi, Rowe and Scott. They have played their role.
My latest debacle was trading in Bolton and Stringer last week so now I am up that famous creek without a paddle.
So my wish list is this – Highmore gets a third game, Jones gets over his ankle injury quicker than expected, Clarko gets some games into Brockman, Waterman comes in for Stringer, McCreery gets more kicks than tackles and Flynn actually gets to play again. I also need Robertson to hold his place in the team or at least be replaced by Sharp if he is dropped.
This demanding season has taught me much- how to live with donuts, how to loophole on every line, not make decisions on gut instinct and plenty of new swear words.
Can’t wait for the bye rounds, they should be hilarious.
Despite all this, sitting around 3400 and having a ball!
I’m trading in Poulter and Mitchell this week so you may well want to avoid them
May the floggings continue until moral improves. Good luck to all.
With Stef Martin being out 2-4 weeks, I’m thinking it might not be a bad idea to cash out early on Flynn and bring in Jordon Sweet. Preuss will apparently be back in 2 -4 weeks so Flynn might only get one more game.
I went early on RCD and not loving the other rookies outside of Poulter. I only have 3 dead rookies (Brockman, Highmore, Waterman) at the moment so thinking Brockman or Rowe to Poulter and Flynn to Sweet.
Flynn to likely come in to give Mumford a rest this week. Has a BE of 3, so just needs one game to get to 300k. English ready to return, so Sweet could come out this week.
Think the better play would be to let Flynn get a hefty price rise this week and then grab Hayes, who’s set to cover Lycett for the next month.
I suppose teams will confirm this but I was thinking they’d play English and Sweet together as the Dogs have looked way better with English forward. I figured Flynn was playing this week but might be done after that as Preuss is meant to be back in 2-4 weeks.
Ladhams has been given that spot ahead of Hayes for now.
As for Sweet, I expect him out when Stef Martin (achilles) is ready to go – he may be back here n there when Martin needs a rest but won’t be a reliable playing long-term option.
Fwd line is
Ziebell Zorko Impey Warner DevRob Scott (bergman rowe)
Warner playing the pies this week i have no interest in trading.
Dev I think he can also bounce back against GC.
I am thinking of going bergman (BE-7) to-
T/U Bailey Dale (kick in % high)
T/D Aaron Hall (ball magnet at half back)
Looking at Poulter and Mitchell in for 2 of Warner/Gulden/Robertson/Bergman/Scott Rowe – if Rowe would have to be with Warner . What 2 should I get rid of?
Looking at Poulter and Mitchell in for 2 of Warner/Gulden/Robertson/Bergman/Scott Rowe – if Rowe would have to be with Warner . What 2 should I get rid of?
Or
Poulter in for any of above rookies upgrade highmore to Moore(would be d6) and can play Laird in midfield?
Noticed Tmacs price and thinking of trading either daniel or cummings (swing laird back to def so still have 6 premo def with rookie d7 cover) to Tmitchell becuase his price is extremely low for what he can do (113+ average last 3 yrs). I was trying to hold off upgrading my semi-premo defs till post-byes but i realised that neither trade will effect my byes (infact trading cummings helps my rd14 bye (dont ask how))
My only worry is with Daniels role, and will I regret trading out cummings (who is a consistent 80+ with a consistent role) and keeping Daniel whos role atm is uncertain, or will Daniel be able to maintain a 90+ average. Anyone watching the bulldogs games could you please explain what Daniels role is, as I feel his ton this weekend was slightly lucky and not an actual indication that he has a good role.
Have plenty of trades in the bank and good rookies making money till the byes and am ranked top 10k, with the last few rounds being ranked top 5k rd rank so feel that my team is in a better position than most having avoided all the recent injury carnage so I can afford an early luxury bargain trade.
Watched the game .played Daniels forward and they were losing moved him back to defence later in game and they started winning. I know coaches are not brain surgeons but surely bevo. Can work that one out.
Went upgrade/downgrade last week bringing in Mills and Poulter (yes I know i went early, needed to so get mills so luckily it paid off). Don’t think I have a enough to upgrade again.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
DEF: Stewart, Lloyd, Mills, Laird, Short, Kosi (L.Jones, Highmore)
MID: Macrae, Oliver, ZMerrett, Titch, Crippa, Powell, Jordon, Gulden (Berry, Brockman, Downie)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
FWD: Ziebell, Impey, Warner, A.Scott, Rowe, Poulter (Waterman, Treacy)
21 trades left and $25,600 ITB
My only suggestion would be to trade out one of your non-playing mid rookies for Ridley, swing Laird into the middle, bench RCD. Gives you coverage in your mids. I haven’t done the maths but I’m assuming you’ll have the cash for such trades…
Luke Ryan looking likely to miss again, which means a donut unless Highmore gets a game. Do I cut my losses (brought him in 3 weeks ago) to avoid a donut? 20 trades left and already planned Gulden to Titch
Need a premo defender to upgrade to. Already have Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, and Short. Preferably avoiding another player in their respective teams for a better bye structure. Money is a non-issue atm.
Tex is a lock to go for Poulter and thinking of holding shai at this stage. Tex gone gives me enough to up Chapman to any Premo Defender (thinking stewart or Lloyd) this round… Or I could land Harmes, hope Flynn plays and then bring in Gawn or another ruck (Hickey?) in a round or two.
TU -> Tex + Chap -> Poulter and Premo Def
TD Tex + Chap -> Poulter and Harmes, and bring in a reliable ruck in 1-2 rounds
Playing in a family league only and Top 4 atm with some next 2 games against top 8 opponents.
Hope Flynn plays.
Mids ok. Robertson in for Bolton this week. Tex to Poulter.
Def. to the best you can afford leaving some cash.
Lots of Def’s that are good value. Harmes , Moore or someone dearer.
News that L. Ryan likely to miss a third consecutive game is killing me, original trade plans potentially out the window. I play for overall with $$ against my mates and have 19 trades left.
TU: Eat the donut
TD: Trade Ryan
Praying for a Highmore miracle as N. Murphy is also out.
Hey Anonymous Jude, forward premos are extinct mate. The best you’ll get are cow-like objects like Hind, Hall, Impey, Dale, etc. Fill your forward line up with them and then stack your mids mate, and remember GO HARD or GO HOME!
T/U – gulden and highmore out Poulter and Harmes( would be D6 playing Laird in mids and have more flexibility and coverage on all lines) in
T/D – gulden and Warner out Poulter and Titch in
Carlton captain Patrick Cripps has been playing this season with a fracture in his back that has needed weekly injections to help him play, but has not left him at risk of worsening the injury.
Cripps suffered a heavy knock in a pre-season game that left him with a small fracture in his back. The injury, confirmed by sources, impaired his movement and he has struggled below his knees and to bend, reducing some of his power game particularly in the early rounds of the season.
Carlton coach David Teague on reports co-captain Patrick Cripps is playing with a fractured back: “He’s fine. He doesn’t have a fractured back.” Is he having injections to get through games? “No … Not that I’m aware of.”
To go one up one down I have to trade Warner/gulden and can get Titch/Mills and Poulter/RCD…
Or to double down I can trade Brockman and Gulden to Poulter and RCD..
Tu one up one down
Td double down
I’m thinking of trading
Tex Walker for Poulter and Shai Bolton for RCD in order to get the rookies before bubble, and also have playing rookies for bye rounds.
Then next week use the Cash to upgrade to two premiums.
yes or crazy
So much discussion about Titch & Kelly as possible trade targets this week & with good reason. Any interest out there for other notable mids with a discounted price, form trending upwards & a POD. Gaff, Libba & Curnow all under 3%.
I personally think the next 4 weeks for Gaff & the eagles opponents looks very enticing.
If you’re looking for a POD mid, Jack Billings is pretty cheap and besides the two games he played with an injured plantar fascia where he scored 43 and 68, he’s been quite consistently good. Not sure I’d do it but there’s something there and he’s at 1% ownership, just has the brutal round 14 bye
I’m really struggling to work out what rookies to get rid of as I’d like to hold Warner and Kozi as cover through byes. Is it too early to cull Brockman, Robertson or McCreery?
ROB still doing my head in and there are so many otions. Gulden to Poulter the obvious one. From there, I can hold Rob and he falls $50k which would imply he’s almost a keeper. Or I can trade him to Nth Campbell, better byes, enhanced dpp, and monster bank next week.
Or I can keep ROB, pray and upgrade to either Rich (Lukosious) who would be a great pod, or Taranto (Powell)
Other option is Gulden/Poulter then ROB/Nicnat which also assists my byes.
Help !!!!
I’d lean Nic Nat or potentially Marshall just to have an actual player in the ruck cause I don’t know that Campbell will keep up that scoring. Definitely hold onto Powell for a while longer
If you already have Marshall then you could do ROB out and swing Marshall into the ruck then bring another position in. So ROB for Taranto or something like that
G’day wighty if I were you I bite the bullet and downgrade Powell and move to Grundy. Hard one with marshal going down as well. Good luck and may you have no more injuries.
He seemed in his first game to overscore for output, and came back to earth in his second.
Definitely not the worst choice, and I have raised my concerns about how Owies is ultra dependant on goals for score… but make sure you are getting Poulter first before you get RCD.
He won’t be the sub as he is named on the bench and not as an emergency.
He will want to show the club that he should be playing and will throw everything into his game.
Need some help on who to get rid of.
TU N.Cox
TD J.Clark
I’m thinking both need to go, but not sure if the med sub gamble is worth it with Clark but I’m pretty sure Cox is still priced above his level and needs to be moved on. Can only get rid of one this week as Tex already got the boot.
Lloyd Mills Laird Short Stewart jiath ( kozi highmore)
Oliver Macrae Walsh Taranto Merrett Gulden Powell Jordan ( sharp RCD Brockman)
Gawn Grundy (Flynn)
Zieball Martin Impey Warner Robertson Bergman ( Scott Rowe )
Looking for any other advice with $89 200 in bank – feedback would be greatly appreciated – thanks
Don’t think it is worth jumping on Mitchell or harmes while cheap? Either one would mean that Powell and Jordan would be only rookies on field in the mids – thoughts?
Thanks for the advice and agree with u about Harmes although can get Mitchell for either Robertson /Scott/Bergman and still keep Warner – does that make any difference or still think better to have the extra trade and $ instead of Mitchell ?
With the most anticipated ‘in’ in supercoach history, I may need to reconsider my trades this week. I was originally planning on the one upgrade trade of Kosi > Lloyd, however since Highmore is back, I have the opportunity to upgrade elsewhere since I can rotate Kosi/Highmore/Murphy for my D6 until they make some more money. Thus:
Hmm, I have Macrae, Merrett, Oliver, Petracca and Steele atm. Options could be Lyons, Bont, Titch. Ideally I want someone from the R12 bye which makes Guthrie a nice option to have, other then Titch.
I’ll throw in Fyfe into your mix, also a proven SC player and he’s still scoring 120s while kicking plenty of behinds. Could get huge scores if he kicks straight. But from the possible trade in options you’ve listed I’d take any of those guys over Guthrie.
I reckon byrnes has better job security and hence money making potential than RCD. He’s in the team on merit – no short term injured players about to come back (jones out for most of season helps him) and getting good numbers. RCD on the other hand is keeping the seat warm for preatia, cotch and Edwards – i see him getting 3 more games.
I’m going byrnes over RCD this week.
T/U, T/D – Who’s with me?
The good thing for Byrnes is that he was playing without the saints having any injuries and now with Zak Jones out for a while it does give him a bit more long term security
My thinking exactly. He seems to have a bit more flexibility too – RCD is a pure midfielder, so won’t be moved to half back/fwd when the big guns return for the tigs… so finds himself out of the team, or spending long periods on the pine, as per last week.
I’ve been flip flopping between my trades this week. Any advice would be great.
TU: Phillips/Berry to Poulter/Mitchell (4K ITB)
TD: Phillips/Berry to Poulter/Byrne (441k ITB) with intention to trade combo of Powell/Jordon/Cripps to Mitchell/Steele next week
Any advice would be appreciated!!
DEF: Stewart, Lloyd, Mills, Laird, Short, Kosi (L.Jones, Highmore)
MID: Macrae, Oliver, ZMerrett, Titch, Crippa, Powell, Jordon, Gulden (Berry, Brockman, Downie)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
FWD: Ziebell, Impey, Warner, A.Scott, Rowe, Poulter (Waterman, Treacy)
21 trades left and $25,600 ITB
Last week trades were Jordan Clark and Braden Campbell > Mills and Poulter (Yes I know i went early on Poulter, I needed to so I could get Mills, luckily it paid off)
21 trades left and currently $25,600 ITB. Last week trades were Jordan Clark and Braden Campbell > Mills and Poulter
TU – Gulden -> RCD Cripps -> 600k~ MID (Walsh, etc)
TD – Gulden & Sam Berry > Byrnes & RCD $269,00
Bit stuck on moves to make this week, feel silly not having Highmore and Impey so looking at them. Thinking at this stage Murphy -> Highmore and Philips -> Impey
Quick one:
TU: Sharp & Warner for Poulter & Daniel (or $482K)
TD: Berry & Warner for Poulter & Mills/Rich (or up to $574K)
DEF is Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, Short, Highmore, Jones, (Murphy, Sharp) so have another donut to cover
Also down to 18 trades before these potential trades
Poll for Cripps
Worth the luxury trade or if you’ve stood with him this long keep with him
He has to go.
Not that easy mate, some people have rookies that need to go and would rather chop them first. At the end of the day with only 2 trades a round it can be very difficult to move on a fallen premo.
it’s not a luxury trade if he’s scoring 70.
Poulter in for someone depending on B/E’s and probably a MID upgrade.
Is Williams worth holding?
TU: Yes
TD: No
The way it seems, it is an absolute landslide for Williams to be removed. Now it looks to be someone who can be consistent and I won’t have to worry about due to the amount of trades that have been used already this season.
I think Williams to Ridley is a huge upgrade for not much coin. If it suits your bye structure I would do that in a heartbeat
Just found this from the press conference
Teague: “He (Williams) hurt something today, I don’t think it was bad. The message up the line was he was OK. I don’t even know what part of the body it was.”
That now surely makes me feel he has to go as he seems to be glass
I need to get rid of the disgusting Phillips out of my forward line
Tu Marshall
Td bolton
Comment any other option
Cameron?
0-6 thumbs down for a guy with a 3 round average of 98, and a negative breakeven?
Guess I’m playing a different game to most people.
I’d assume it be due to the fact he is a KPP and the week before scored 49, which is not too appealing. Very up and down scoring can really hurt
Gotta side with nato here. I’d much rather a consistent 90+ then 100s with 50s and 60s
I’m talking Darcy Cameron, who hasn’t scored a 49, and has a three round average of 98, not 89.
Totally different player.
Lmao, an even worse pick than the Cameron we all thought you were talking about.
Geez that got embarrassing real quick for old HH there!
Seems a better option at present than many.
And r14 bye
Aaron Hall is someone I would consider strongly.
I started with Phillips and could not watch him butchering the ball so traded to Hind after rd3.
At least Phillips 70 is better than fielding a rookie but its hard watching him!
Probably bringing in Zorko and Poulter. Darcy Cameron will recieve very serious consideration.
If I’d brought him in this week instead of Daniher I probably would have won 10/10.
Cameron looked good against north but who doesn’t? He does some good relieving ruck work too but I don’t think he will score well against the better teams
Tex.
TU: Persist with him as a premo, key position; will be up and down all year.
TD: Trade him to an uber MID premo before he drops off.

Heppell….only thing I got right all year. Forgot to switch c to Bont this week…lost by 26. Its that kinda year.
Warner to Poulter
Berry to Jelly/Titch
Can’t decide which bloke to get, although will probably just get the other the following round.
TU – Josh Kelly
TD – Tom Mitchell
Just keep an eye on your bye structure, they both have the R12 bye.
Gulden & Cox

Poulter & RCD
IN
I’d be careful…when the byes come, which of those two options do you think are more likely to be playing ???
Just a thought.
Byrnes JS good?
Who is the better rookie to bring in this week as I will be doing one downgrade minimum:
TU: Poulter
TD: RCD
I can’t see how I can make any trades this week or else I’ll be out by the byes, so will probably just have to hunker down and start planning season 2022….
Argh, 2k short of going Mansell -> Ridley even if I cash in on Warner. F*ck.
Very frustrating. Don’t want to tap into Powell or Jordon.
Might consider holding trades this week unless forced. Think last season’s extra trades have left people thinking they can make moves every week lol.
Gunboat. Ridleys be was 204 going into last week. Scoring only 84 it will still be high. Can you wait a week or two. I am
It’s 119 this week so he could well and truly increase in value but I’m gonna risk it and wait another week for him.
Yep can wait one more week
Probably a good thing. Stewart’s return has effected ridleys scoring. Buy Ridley next week after another 80.
TU Hall
TD Impey
koz + b. campbell –> ridley & poulter 60k itb
Unsure weather to trade this round but thinking I may finally have my chance to move on Cripps for good;
Bergman > Poulter
Cripps > Titch
Tu or Td ?
Also consider J Kelly as a Cripps replacement. Looks to have turned the corner & is back playing his usual role
Maybe trade Cripps at his bye, R13?
Stupid question but what round is the final round for supercoach head to heads (before finals start)? Also worried about trades….
Round 19 I think.
Aaron Hall;
Sure the risks are there, but the guys averaging 108 from full games this season, seagulling like Ziebell.
Do it?
Any love for Aaron Hall?
Can’t afford anyone over 520k (mid/fwd)
Unless I bring Dusty in a week early
J Kelly?
BE 159 and still no sign of form. It wouldn’t be ONE week early bringing Dusty in.
Out: Cripps and Kozy
In: Jelly and Poulter
shai bolton will he finish top 6 fwd
T/U yes
T/D no
Thinking of going warner up to him
Walker and gulden OUT
Zorko or Bolton and Poulter (dpp a bonus) IN
Tu = Zorko
Td = Bolton
Which defender to bring in?
Thumbs Up – Ridley
Thumbs Down – Harmes
Lachie Young to Poulter is the perfect trade for me.
Would love to know what you guys think! Let me know what trades you’d make
Def – Stewart, laird, Ridley, Daniel, kozi, Murphy (highmore, sharp)
Mid – macrae, bont, Oliver, Merrett, Taranto, Cripps, Powell, jordon (Scott, berry, brockman)
Ruck – gawndy (flynn)
Forward – zieball, zorko, dusty, Warner, Bergman, mccreery (rowe, waterman)
$128000 available
Kozi and Warner
Yep that’s what my first idea was! For poulter and mills I was thinking
Won’t you be getting a donut in your backline? Maybe time to move on one of Highmore or Sharp?
Darcy Moore has bottomed out in price after a few quiet weeks in the forward line. Is now at $365k and has returned to the backline, scored 130 this week and doesn’t look like he’ll be moving from defence again. Is averaging 103.8 in his games as a defender this year.
Thoughts as an underpriced POD? TU/TD.
Thinking the same but his bye stinks.
Gonna turn your question into a poll, Stewy.
Big dilemma.
TU: Tex>Marshall
TD: Tex>Titch
Warner out for
TU: RCD
TD: R Byrnes
Poulter?
Warner > Poulter
Koschi > Ridley
TU Yes
TD No wait 1 more week for Ridley and don’t cash Koschi and Warner in just yet
Why so many TD for this?
Kosi could go big and make a bit more cash and ridley could loose some even after toning up, I’d do it only if I have to
I’d get Poulter, anyone else you can chop other than Warner?
Double downgrade for cash generation:
Campbell > Poulter
Warner > Owies
Next week Lloyd & Ridley straight in
T/U – Yes
T/D – No
One up one down both wks IMO
They’re both on the bubble though, so the d/g won’t generate as much cash the week after. Yes, you’re missing out on some points but unless there is an abundance of rookies that debuted this week, it probably makes more sense to grab good rookies when they’re available.
T/U: Owies
T/D: Byrnes
Considering I double downgraded last week and still won 7/8 games, the team is looking good. Double upgrade this week, here we go. Kosi to>
T/U Lloyd (Get the seagull in before he goes back up over 600k)
T/D Ridley (Wait another week for him to drop even further)
And then the second trade would be Bergman to >
T/U Dusty (Same as Ridley, should I wait another week for him to become cheaper)
T/D Marshall
Cheers guys.
Is J.Kelly worth trading in, or will he get injured like most seasons? I can’t afford another injury
Is Frederick still one of the best rookies to get this round
TU- Yes
TD – No, and comment who else (any position)
Poulter.
Q. what did poulter score in his first game and who was it against?
If you need a defensive rook then you’d have to consider him even with the price rise. Not much else out there at the moment.
T/U – AARON HALL – 419K AWESOME ROLE, SUPER INJURY PRONE
T/D – DARCY MOORE – 365K BACK IN DEFENCE, CLEARLY GOING TO STAY THERE. AVERAGING OVER 100 WHEN PLAYING DEFENCE THIS YEAR.
No certainty on any coaches movements this year, but injury history doesn’t go away on a whim.
Gunboat is an expert champ. I taught him everything he knows. Including how to give a good backhand where it’s due. Move on.
Backline is set with Laird going back.
Tex is gone and Chapman for Poulter and
TU Mitchell +80k
TD Steele
Next week Martin.
Steele has the R14 bye.
TU Lloyd
TD Mills
I traded Mills over Lloyd last week because he was slightly cheaper (now the same) and had the slightly better average. He then pumped out 145 for me. Yep that’s who I voted for.
I favour consistency, It’s a matter of set & forget for me so I’ve taken Lloyd for that reason & having only 2 games in the mid & high 90’s to blot his copy book with, while Mills has had 3 under the ton so far, with two of them being in the 80’s.
Mills would be for ceiling & midfield reasons I guess !
I started Mills over Lloyd.
TU:- Poulter

Tex and Gulden to WHO??
Any mid premo and poulter
Anyone looking at De Goey? If he was at his current price at the start of a season I think many of us would start with him. Hasn’t had a great season yet but at 296k with a break even of 5, I am having a cheeky look, especially with how thin the forward line is.
Certainly tempting at that price, but injury history just puts me off at this point with all the forced trades already.
Who goes first?
T/U: Campbell
T/D: Warner
Cheers
Only want to use one trade this week for cash generation, who gets the chop?

Thoughts on bringing D.Moore in at 366 k???? as a D6 there could be much worse. He seems like his JS is back for defence where he scored 130 on the weekend?
T/U – Good Pick
T/D – Nahhh, get a premo
Current defence consists of Stewart, Laird, Ridley, Short, Alliir, Kozi, Chapman, Highmore. Would be stright swap from chapman as i have some coin the bank.
Cheers everyone 🙂

Ben Brown?
Phillips and Warner —> Lyons and Poulter (leaves $282k itb)
Brought Lyons in a few weeks ago, even put the C on him last round, can’t believe but am liking only 2% own him, Poulter looks a good down grade, though I will be hanging onto Warner at the moment (at least he’s playing and scoring) and getting rid of one off my non playing bench
Can you believe the bloke was delisted from GC? He has been one of the reasons Brisbane has come good over the last couple years.
Moving Tex on,

Quick question wasn’t sure where to post.
Has anything been confirmed about Thursday team releases for this week?
Teams will be named Thursday night Macaroni.
Well at least 26 named from which to pick 22 and a sub.
He’d need one of McStay, Daniher or Hipwood to go down to have a chance.
TU: Powell and Kosi to Poulter and Ridley
Or
TD: Crippa and Kosi to Poulter and Ridley
Is it finally time to cull Crippa or look at downgrading other rookies?
Powell’s still likely to go up a bit more in price with a BE of 56 this week. Definitely don’t have to cull Cripps but it’s hard to trade Powell out over him sadly
Round 8 team;

TD: Fullarton to Poulter save a trade
*If Houston is out thinking Fullarton & Houston for Poulter & Ridley
Definitely can’t be bringing in Jordon now. How much cash do you have before any trades?
Johnno I have $23.4K in the bank was only thinking Jordon for more cash gen than Gulden
Bring in RCD on the bubble rather than Jordon.
Like the suggestion Stewy! Looked into it, however if I go RCD over Jordan then I’ll have 7 mids missing R13.. will hurt me I rekon?
If Houston out etc. Looks your best option.
Maybe trade Hunter and swing Fullerton to the ruck bench, that dpp might come in handy later. Can’t see Hunter getting another game.

Hi Kieran.
The thought crossed my mind….Lyons perhaps. But my forwards need serious work.
Mid: Macrae Walsh Oliver Merret Petracca Taranto Powell Jordon (Gulden Berry Downie)

Maybe instead of Warner, trade Flynn, swing Fullerton to the ruck bench and bring in Marshall. Can then swap Fullerton with Marshall for ruck backup. Just a thought.
Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, Short, Dougal Howard, Koschitzkie (Chapman,Highmore)
Macrae, Guthrie, Oliver, Boak, Braysh, Powell, Jordan, Berry (Cambell,Brock,RCD)
Gawndy (Meek)
Ziebell, Sidebum, Dusty, Tex, Warner, Poulter (Rowe,Waterman)
10K ITB and 20 trades left
Thinking Chapman + Tex to Kelly + Parks
Any tips much appreciated
Thoughts on
Campbell > Poulter
Gulden > Steele
Cheers
maybe go guthrie. he looks in great form
Macrae, Walsh, Oliver, Merrett, Brayshaw, Laird, Powell (Jordon, McNeil, Downie)
Grundy, Gawn (Flynn)
Zieball, Zorko, Impey, Warner, Scott, Rowe (Jones, Waterman)
Currently have 20 trades left. Looking to win a league, not the entire thing.
I would think Saad has to go as he is not a keeper and has a breakeven of 128.
Have you looked at Saad to Poulter via Laird. Generates some cash.
Jordan can be in your 22. Leave at that or do a second trade and upgrade to a fallen premium anywhere.
Thanks!
Completely forgot to write that I had Cripps in the midfield, is he a keeper this year though?
ICYMI
Shai Bolton has a broken wrist and will miss 2-3 weeks. He and Daniel Rioli have been involved in a fight at a nightclub over the weekend.
According to 9NewsMelb
Richmond FC statement: “Bolton became involved in the ensuing altercation and sustained a fractured wrist that will require surgery. He will be sidelined for the next 2 to 3 weeks.”
Bad news Shai bolton got into a fight he is out surgery
Bad news for Bolton, and owners of him…
But surely good news for RCD’s JS for short term atleast ?
F—k midfield decimated. No Prestia, Lambert, Cotchin, Edwards and Bolton. Thinking he gets a decent crack at it.
But I’ll put my current side up anyway in case someone decides to want to give some help here
DEF – Laird, Short, Lever, Daniel, Jiath, Murphy (Jones, Highmore)
MID – Macrae, Mundy, Fyfe, Merrett, Petracca, Taranto, Powell, Jordon (McNeil, Brockman, Fyfe)
RUC – Gawn, Hickey (Flynn)
FWD – Ziebell, Bolton, Impey, Martin, Warner, Scott (Rowe, Macrae)
18 trades, $85k remaining.
Side is fine. Look to get Poulter in somewhere. Rowe might cover Bolton.
Or you could make a second trade.
If I have to though to avoid a donut, I’d rather do that then fixing Bolton and Warner this week. I want to make sure I have 22 on field.
If I have to though to avoid a donut, I’d rather do that then fixing Bolton and Warner this week. I want to make sure I have 22 on field.
Evening, Corey.
Good to see you around again, don’t sweat it.
Let it stew over the week, best of luck.
I’ll be waiting to see if Highmore gets in. If not, I’m gonna have to do something about that with all due respect.
The one thing that probably stresses me more than anything with Supercoach is copping a donut. My mind CANNOT handle that for whatever reason.
Wouldn’t count on Highmore.
Best of luck, take it easy.
Out of the options I’ve been given, I’d probably do the Bolton > Poultier and Highmore/Jones > Premo DEF at this point.
I understand you’re advising a strategic approach, but I can’t take a donut and I’ll do what I can to avoid it.
Thanks anyway GD
I am a bolton owner since day 1.
TU Trade now he is out for at least 2-3 weeks
TD Hold and wait for his return
How many trades do you have left? What kind of bench cover do you have?
Have 19 trades left – cover isn’t great. Means I would have to field Scott, Bergman, Poulter and warner
So, yeah, a hold from me. Good luck.
Thanks mate, appreciate it
Help me out coaches!
TU trade out Cox and Warner for Impey and Poulter
TD trade out Cox and Serong for Titch and Poulter
Thanks
TU: Keep Tex, he will come good
TD: Trade him now
Trade Tex.
He’s got Eagles in Perth, top of the table Demons and then the Tigers at the G. All of those opponents have excellent backlines with strong lock down defenders and the Crows will get pounded in all three.
The fun’s over.
Marshall is under an injury cloud from rumours going around, just be careful selecting him
I don’t just have to go marshall. could go Zorko or Sidebottom or dusty
id go zork, very durable
Hi abs good advice you got that one right.
thoughts –
TU- trade bolton down to poulter and with the $403k upgrade kossy to a premium (mills-doing very well) or upgrade robertson to Macrae (not hot)
TD- back down from cashing in and use the money another week and save trades (I still have 21 trades, so I’d be down to 19)
cheers boys
ive just gone with my gut and am going to cash in –
T/U – Mills
T/D – Mcrae
TU Worpel
TD Rozee
Thanks
Ooof, neither.
Rozee was on fire in the Marsh Series, then injured. Looked good last week albeit v Adl. Sidey & Zorko don’t look great so far this year. Slim pickings up Fwd
TU:- Duncan
TD:- Guthrie
Tex was going to become Bolton this week now he’s become Toby Greene!
Any other suggestions for forwards that will finish top 10? I have Ziebell, Impey and Zorko.
Cheers
Marshall, Sidebottom, Dale and even Hall.
Think they’ll all end up pretty close tbh.
Thanks GD – some food for thought, byes make it hard to grab Marshall and Sidey and Dale too to some extent but cheers for the feedback , appreciate it.
You don’t need any help !!!
Your on the mark there wighty. Keep going ninja take home some bacon at end of season
Bolton and Tex both in the forward line. other forwards are ziebell, impey, warner and scott – bench is farrar and campbell
other lines doing ok for now so think i need to do something but with only 18 trades i’m a bit wary
I need some help choosing a def
TU – Lloyd
TD – Mills
Comment for other two options
TU – Rich
TD – Stewart
Coaches voting Rich over Mills? Interesting, cheaper and a superior bye…perhaps I should cast aside my Mills FOMO and play smart…
Hi guys – help please
Option 1: Warner and Gulden out for Poulter and Steele/Mitchell (which one?)
Option 2: (keep Warner) Gulden and Rowe/Robertson/Bergman/Scott (which one) out for Poulter and Ridley? Move Laird to Midfield as Jiath already D6
Mitchell is cheap
Josh Kelly?
Yes or No
Been grappling with ROB for two days now.
Good luck with it. Personally I prefer the Nic Nat, Poulter option but there’s plenty of choices to make
G’day wighty. If I was you I would shelve plans on nit Nat. I know you have had a bad run with injuries and I think nit Nat is also injury prone. Good luck
This week im planning on going:
C.Warner -> Impey
Cheers in advance.
Just get Poulter and leave Impey for later.
TU: Tex upgrade to Marshall
TD: Tex downgrade to Collier-Dawkins via DPP
Have 16 trades left, do I:
TU: Trade Gulden
TD: Save trade
T/U – RCD
T/D – Poulter
T/U – Jack Steel
T/D – Tom Mitchel + 50k
TU: Rich
TD: Mills
Anyone heard anything about Petracca injury…it was raised on 3AW 11am news.
Wighty he copped a knock right at the end of last week’s game. They interviewed him 5 minutes later and he said it was a corky. Unless it bled badly would think he would be ok.
Atkins and Campbell for:
TU: Poulter and Slone
TD: Poulter and Boak
Tom Mitchell or Josh Kelly as a mid option instead?

Did you start them all, or were they just suggestions?
I’m assuming with all those astute picks your team is well up in the rankings!
What is the name of your team Bucks?
As I won’t even type it in to find out where you are ranked but I will go into rankings and just scroll down as I gather I will find it very quickly in the Top 100 overall. We will all then be able to follow your team with great interest.
Just for the record your starting line up is one part of the game but trading wisely is even more important so I would personally like to watch how you go about it as it sounds like you are an absolute SuperCoach Gun.
Backline: T. Stewart; J Lloyd; J Short; S May; C Daniel;
TU: Jordan Ridley (It’s a no brainer!)
TD: Darcy Moore (Hang on, he’s super-cheap and back in defence)
Tex has to go.
Fwds: Ziebell,Impey,Tex,Warner,Scott,Rowe
Mids: Macrae,Walsh,Oliver,Steele,Brayshaw,Jordon,Powell
TU: Gulden & Tex > Titchell & Poulter (field) ($250k bank)
TD: Gulden & Tex > B.Dale & Poulter (bench as loop with Rowe) ($330k bank)
Also gotta mention my fwd line cover has 2x non playing rookies.
warner –> hall (tu)
warner –> hawkins (td)
G’day fellas, need some opinions on this one.
Current team set up is:
DEF:
Stewart – Lloyd – Bowes – Short – Jiath – Mansell (Highmore/Chugg)
MID:
Macrae – Walsh – Fyfe – Oliver – Merrett – Petracca – Powell – Jordon (Berry/McNeil/RCD)
RUC:
Gawn – Grundy (Treacy)
Comment – response to my other ideas or one of your own
Cheers lads cheers.
Also heavily considering big Hughber McGluggage

No idea why the AFL is dragging it’s feet, been talked about for over a week, should be good to go this week.
Mitchell and Poulter
That is where I am going. Your luck is about to change.
T/U – get rid of Robertsen
T/D – get rid of koschitzke
Better job security?
TU collier- Dawkins
TD Bynes
Cheers
Which rookie to choose:
T/U – Owies
T/D – RCD
have you got poulter
Yes going to do a double down grade this week. Poulter is a lock already. Next week Ridley and Lloyd straight in
With Stef Martin being out 2-4 weeks, I’m thinking it might not be a bad idea to cash out early on Flynn and bring in Jordon Sweet.
Good idea
Hold Flynn.
Not quite, Emile.
Good point on Hayes GD.
I suppose teams will confirm this but I was thinking they’d play English and Sweet together as the Dogs have looked way better with English forward. I figured Flynn was playing this week but might be done after that as Preuss is meant to be back in 2-4 weeks.
You wouldn’t back in Preuss finishing the year out.
Gulden 1st to go. Someone pointed out Rowe’s next 3 weeks will be tough.
If first option what two rookies to get rid of?
If second option Poulter for who? And highmore for Moore or harmes at D6
Duggan out with a knee so has to go
T/U – Gulden to RCD + Duggan to Mills
T/D – Duggan to Moore + Gulden to RCD leaving $350k in the bank
You have Poulter? DPP.
Mills far more consistent than Moore.
Would it be crazy to trade out F.Macrae to bring in Poulter for the sole reason of having a playing rookie?
T/U No, bring him in
T/D Crazy, Macrae will get another game. Hold your trades
What to do with Phillips…
TU: Trade for Poulter, bank cash
TD: Hold and upgrade him later
Too late to get Impey?
TU: Impey
TD: Zorko
TU: Cummings -> Mitchell
TD: Daniel -> Mitchell
Berry to RCD, and maybe Brockman to Byrnes then next week you could cash out Flynn and upgrade Gulden or Kosi.
Thoughts on the following, currently $236k ITB:
Out – J Clark & Gulden
To
TU – D/upgr; Moore & Harms (via Laird dpp)
TD – 1p 1 dn ; Moore & Poulter
Def: LAIRD, RICH, STEWART, DANIEL, SHORT, Kosi (Highmore, Briggs)
Mid: MACRAE, MERRETT, WALSH, OLIVER, STEELE, Powell, Jordan, RCD (Bruhn, Downie, Brockman)
Ruc: GRAWNDY (Flynn)
Fwd: ZIEBELL, MARTIN, Warner, Robertson, Scott, Mcreary (Fullarton, Waterman)
$265k in the bank
Want to get Ridley in this week to win leagues
Fullarton>Poulter
Kosi> Ridley
My only suggestion would be to trade out one of your non-playing mid rookies for Ridley, swing Laird into the middle, bench RCD. Gives you coverage in your mids. I haven’t done the maths but I’m assuming you’ll have the cash for such trades…
Considering a DEF upgrade this week:
Chapman / Jordan Clark –>
TU: Caleb Daniel
TD: Darcy Moore
Harmes???
who am i captaining this week?
Gawn?
Grundy?
Mcrae
Even Zeibel?
There will be an thread on Thursday on who to VC and captain
Which trades should i target first? Herald sun articles saying PASS on Ridley should wait a week to see how he scores and BUY on Impey.
TU: N.Cox , P.Cripps > J.Impey, C.Poulter
TD: N.Cox , P.Cripps > J.Ridley, C.Poulter
TU: owies and RCD
TD: either owies or RCD and de goey
Is de goey good for 296k and can make money or even average up to 90 or even higher
TU: Powell, Brockman –> Poulter, Titch (19k ITB) (with fwd bench cover)
TD: Tex Walker, Brockman –> Poulter, Titch (57k ITB) (with no bench cover)
Luke Ryan looking likely to miss again, which means a donut unless Highmore gets a game. Do I cut my losses (brought him in 3 weeks ago) to avoid a donut? 20 trades left and already planned Gulden to Titch
T/U – Luke Ryan to Mills
T/D – Hold
Argh. Tough one, TC.
Problem is he’ll probably be back next week but a premo donut, unlike one from a rookie, is tough to swing. That’s -110 points right there.
Up to you whether you think a trade is worth 110~ points/grabbing Mills.
With 20 trades, I’d maybe bite the bullet?
Thanks GD. I’m leaning that way unless Highmore gets a game out of the blue.
I’m leaning to avoiding Titchell as well to jump on RCD or Poulter; can’t pass up decent rookies when they surface
Yep, sounds good.
Hey guys,
Need a premo defender to upgrade to. Already have Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, and Short. Preferably avoiding another player in their respective teams for a better bye structure. Money is a non-issue atm.
Thanks!
My guy ALIIR (or Rich)
Stewart. R12 Bye.
Thanks FT. Going to go with Stewart.
Docherty
double downgrade or one down one up..
Tu Brockman Gulden to Poulter and RCD
TD Brockman Gulden to Poulter and Titch
Ps double upgrade next week
TU Callum Mills
TD Jake Lloyd
Want to get both eventually just who to get first
Cheers
Hey all, First season in a while and first time poster and in a major pickle, would love a vote/advice…
Lineup:
D: Laird, Ridley, Bowes, Short, Kosi, Chapman (Jones, Highmore)
M: Macrae, Bont, Duncan, Oliver, Merrett, Brayshaw, Powell, Jordon )=(Berry, RCD, Downie)
R: Grundy, Flynn (hunter)
F: Ziebell, Bolton, Impey, Dusty, Tex, Warner (Roberston, Rowe)
23.3k ITB and 19 Trades done
Any other advice or suggestions much appreciated!
Hope Flynn plays.
Mids ok. Robertson in for Bolton this week. Tex to Poulter.
Def. to the best you can afford leaving some cash.
Lots of Def’s that are good value. Harmes , Moore or someone dearer.
Help Please!!!
TU:Atkins and Campbell for Titch and Poulter
TD: Kozi and Campbell for Moore and Poulter
News that L. Ryan likely to miss a third consecutive game is killing me, original trade plans potentially out the window. I play for overall with $$ against my mates and have 19 trades left.
TU: Eat the donut
TD: Trade Ryan
Praying for a Highmore miracle as N. Murphy is also out.
Donuts are no good.
Hey guys,
My forward line looks like this:
Ziebell, Tex, Warner, Thilthorpe, Scott, Rowe
Tex and gulden are going out for Poulter and
TU: Guthrie. Good for Byes and I don’t think he’ll drop off too much.
TD: Marshall. I need another premo forward!
Comment any other premo forward options.
Thanks!
Zorko?
Hey Anonymous Jude, forward premos are extinct mate. The best you’ll get are cow-like objects like Hind, Hall, Impey, Dale, etc. Fill your forward line up with them and then stack your mids mate, and remember GO HARD or GO HOME!
Thanks
T/U – Owies
T/D – Poulter
T/U – gulden and highmore out Poulter and Harmes( would be D6 playing Laird in mids and have more flexibility and coverage on all lines) in
T/D – gulden and Warner out Poulter and Titch in
Please advise
Hey everyone,
Looking to move Berry to Mitchell. Going to have to make cash and so I’m thinking of the following to bring in Poulter.
TU: trade Warner to Poulter
TD: trade T. Phillips to Poulter.
Warner has been averaging higher than Phillips.
Thanks everyone!
Phillips will still be playing in 8 weeks. Perhaps not Warner
Seriously considering CRIPPS to J.KELLY for 91k.
TU: Do it
TD: Don’t do it
Take out R1 and Rich is averaging 112.7,Mills 113…last spot in backs..already have Lloyd Laird Ridley Crisp Stewart..
Tu Rich
Td Mills
Who should go first?
T/U gulden
T/D Robertson
Zac Williams to:
TU Ridley
TD Moore + 120k
Comment: Hold

t/u – Byrnes
t/d – RCD
Trading out dead rookies Highmore and Sharp to Poulter and RCD
TU: yes
TD: no
What you you guys and gals think….
Berry, Cox > Poulter, Oliver
Out: Waterman, Tex
In: Poulter, Zorko
TU: Tex, Brockman –> Titch, Poulter (57kITB)
TD: Tex, Brockman –> Poulter, RCD (460k ITB)
have 24 trades, not sure whether to go 1up 1down or double down this week

Per the Age:
T/U Gaff
T/D LIbba
If you’re looking for a POD mid, Jack Billings is pretty cheap and besides the two games he played with an injured plantar fascia where he scored 43 and 68, he’s been quite consistently good. Not sure I’d do it but there’s something there and he’s at 1% ownership, just has the brutal round 14 bye
I’m really struggling to work out what rookies to get rid of as I’d like to hold Warner and Kozi as cover through byes. Is it too early to cull Brockman, Robertson or McCreery?
TU: way too early
TD: Move one of them on
If so, which one do I move on first:
TU: Brockman
TD: Robertson
Comment: McCreery
TU: McCreery
Tu Mills
Td Titch
Jarmaine Jones?
Turned it around and now a vital WCE player?
Went early on RCD and Poulter is a lock trade:
T/u Zorko
T/d Jones and wait on premos.
TU: Lyons
TD: Steele
Lyons is having the better season, but Steele has the slightly better bye for my team
Currently my byes are looking like this.
Round 13 bye: Macrae, Walsh, Merrett, Ridley, Dusty (Lyons)
Round 14 bye Oliver, May, Gawn, Grundy (Steele)
What’s better? Forwards are a mess atm but not fazed
TU: Finalise D6 (Mills) or
TD: Settle M6 (Titch) leaving Powell & Jordon M7 & M8
ROB still doing my head in and there are so many otions. Gulden to Poulter the obvious one. From there, I can hold Rob and he falls $50k which would imply he’s almost a keeper. Or I can trade him to Nth Campbell, better byes, enhanced dpp, and monster bank next week.
Or I can keep ROB, pray and upgrade to either Rich (Lukosious) who would be a great pod, or Taranto (Powell)
Other option is Gulden/Poulter then ROB/Nicnat which also assists my byes.
Help !!!!
If Taranto/Rich….
T/u Rich
T/d Taranto
I’d lean Nic Nat or potentially Marshall just to have an actual player in the ruck cause I don’t know that Campbell will keep up that scoring. Definitely hold onto Powell for a while longer
Thanks Johnno….I have Marshall at f4/5
If you already have Marshall then you could do ROB out and swing Marshall into the ruck then bring another position in. So ROB for Taranto or something like that
The problem is dependant on team structure he has the same bye as G/G. If you dont think you can use his dpp as cover for that he’s good.
G’day wighty if I were you I bite the bullet and downgrade Powell and move to Grundy. Hard one with marshal going down as well. Good luck and may you have no more injuries.
Is Cripps a definite trade out now?
i’ve finally pulled the pin- today’s news was the final straw!
what news?
The rumour about back injury and ongoing painkiller injections.
It’s unverified last I knew.
Given the news of Zak Jones injury and the players out for Richmond, who’s the better downgrade (primarily for JS but also scoring wise)?
TU: RCD
TD: Byrnes
I went early on RCD but…
He seemed in his first game to overscore for output, and came back to earth in his second.
Definitely not the worst choice, and I have raised my concerns about how Owies is ultra dependant on goals for score… but make sure you are getting Poulter first before you get RCD.
Yeah I’m definitely getting Poulter but tossing between Byrnes or RCD for the 2nd trade – hard to split.
Cripps, Highmore or Downie on the chopping block – looking to get in RCD
Trading out Highmore will prevent copping a donut in defence. Sick of Cripps and Downie looks like he’s a way off playing.
T/U Highmore
T/D Cripps
Comment Downie
Downie
Scratch that, cannot avoid the donut with Highmore trade.
T/U Cripps
T/D Downie
TU
Kosi, Warner > Guthrie M6, Poulter
Is better for my byes
TD
Kosi, Fullarton>Ridley/Mills D6, Poulter
Ridley is worse for my byes but is a bargain, Mills suits my byes well
No decision just wanted to celebrate
HIGHMORE IS BACK!!!!
TU: Yessssssssssss
TD: Easy tiger he will score low or be the sub.
He won’t be the sub as he is named on the bench and not as an emergency.
He will want to show the club that he should be playing and will throw everything into his game.
If STk are smashed he will be vulnerable to getting dropped.
TU Jarryd Lyons
TD Tom Mitchell
Thanks
Trading / Upgrading Cripps…..
T/U – Lyons
T/D – Bont
keen to hear peoples thoughts, cheers team
Need some help on who to get rid of.
TU N.Cox
TD J.Clark
I’m thinking both need to go, but not sure if the med sub gamble is worth it with Clark but I’m pretty sure Cox is still priced above his level and needs to be moved on. Can only get rid of one this week as Tex already got the boot.
Hi guys – 1st trade is gulden to Poulter!!
2nd trade
T/U kozi to harmes(D6 and can play Laird in midfield and $186 500 in bank)
T/D Robertson/Bergman/Scott to Mitchell ($9800 in bank)
For above current team is
Lloyd Mills Laird Short Stewart jiath ( kozi highmore)
Oliver Macrae Walsh Taranto Merrett Gulden Powell Jordan ( sharp RCD Brockman)
Gawn Grundy (Flynn)
Zieball Martin Impey Warner Robertson Bergman ( Scott Rowe )
Looking for any other advice with $89 200 in bank – feedback would be greatly appreciated – thanks
Very solid team, Fish.
Maybe just Gulden -> Poulter this week?
Don’t think it is worth jumping on Mitchell or harmes while cheap? Either one would mean that Powell and Jordan would be only rookies on field in the mids – thoughts?
Harmes does you no good tbh, your DEF is pretty much finished. Jiath to go up to a Top 6 DEF premo whenever.
If you’re bullish on Titch you’d have to cash in on Warner, but probably best to hold him through the byes?
Up to you, Fish.
Good luck.
What about Gulden and Robertson to Titch and Poulter?
Thanks for the advice and agree with u about Harmes although can get Mitchell for either Robertson /Scott/Bergman and still keep Warner – does that make any difference or still think better to have the extra trade and $ instead of Mitchell ?
Oh, yep. If you’re able to grab Titch and still keep Warner, then go ahead.
Thanks very much GD and Johnno for your thoughts
With the most anticipated ‘in’ in supercoach history, I may need to reconsider my trades this week. I was originally planning on the one upgrade trade of Kosi > Lloyd, however since Highmore is back, I have the opportunity to upgrade elsewhere since I can rotate Kosi/Highmore/Murphy for my D6 until they make some more money. Thus:
T/U Kosi > Lloyd
T/D Gulden > Guthrie. Cheers
Any other mids excite you aside from Guthrie? I cant see him keeping this up the whole season so think he’s not worth his price tag now
Hmm, I have Macrae, Merrett, Oliver, Petracca and Steele atm.
Rowe -> Poulter & Stringer -> A. Hall
(Dusty most likely next week)
(lets me loop on all lines)
If u had to trade one in this weekend who would u take?
Tu Ridley
Td mills
I know this has probably been asked:
T/U – Bont
T/D – Mitchell
Comment: Lyons
Lyons…
T/U: Powell to McCluggage
T/D: Don’t trade Powell.
TU – Rowe>Zorko
TD – Rowe>Titch
Both gets McCreery off field
Warner & Downie -> Poulter & RCD
$183,600 -> $389,100
TU- Zorko
TD- Aaron Hall
Who goes first?
T/U Kosi
T/D Robertson
19 trades remaining, already bringing in Poulter:
TU: Berry/Brockman > RCD
TD: Hold Trade
Hey everyone!
Thank everyone!
Any advice would be appreciated!!
DEF: Stewart, Lloyd, Mills, Laird, Short, Kosi (L.Jones, Highmore)
MID: Macrae, Oliver, ZMerrett, Titch, Crippa, Powell, Jordon, Gulden (Berry, Brockman, Downie)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
FWD: Ziebell, Impey, Warner, A.Scott, Rowe, Poulter (Waterman, Treacy)
21 trades left and $25,600 ITB
Last week trades were Jordan Clark and Braden Campbell > Mills and Poulter (Yes I know i went early on Poulter, I needed to so I could get Mills, luckily it paid off)
With 21 trades, how about sacking Cripps this week?
Gulden -> RCD
Cripps -> 600k~ MID
Or do I double downgrade and get in Byrnes and RCD?
(e.g. Gulden & Berry > Byrnes & RCD $269,00
Yep, that could also work.
Byrnes probably has JS now with Jones out for a while.
Thanks GD, I still don’t know what I want to do lol.
What do you think I should go with?
TU Mills
TD Lloyd
21 trades left and currently $25,600 ITB. Last week trades were Jordan Clark and Braden Campbell > Mills and Poulter
TU – Gulden -> RCD Cripps -> 600k~ MID (Walsh, etc)
TD – Gulden & Sam Berry > Byrnes & RCD $269,00
Help!!
Bit stuck on moves to make this week, feel silly not having Highmore and Impey so looking at them. Thinking at this stage Murphy -> Highmore and Philips -> Impey
DEF: Laird, Ridley, Bowes, Jiath, Mansell, Murphy (L Jones, A Fyfe)
MID: Macrae, Guthrie, Walsh, Oliver, Merrett, Brayshaw, Powell, Jordon (Gulden, Berry, Brockman)
RUC: Grundy, Gawn (Flynn
FWD: Ziebell, Zorko, Philips, Warner, Scott, Rowe (Waterman, Fullarton)
20 trades remaining, $142,500 in the bank
Murphy to Highmore seems a waste. Could you go Berry to Highmore via Fyfe?
T/U – Byrnes
T/D – RCD
late trades
I have gone
Warner to Poulter
Brockman to Dale
T/U Good trades
T/D Bad trades
Should I trade out out Bolton, how many weeks will he miss?
TU get Mitchell
TD keep he will be back in a couple of weeks
TU – Lachie Young (BE 81) > Lloyd (Field McCreery/Rowe)
TD – James Rowe (BE 23) > Zorko (Field Highmores 47/Lachie Young)
Got $517k to play with, who’s the better trade in? Already have Ridley, Laird, Bowes, Jiath
T/U Aliir
T/D Moore
Comment – other
