    • Probably, but i have a Matt Roberts issue to deal with first so may have to hold an extra week. Ill just use him as a loop

    • Yeah. Makes sense to get him to a premo but for peasants like me with bigger issues I think I can get away with holding.

3/4 in Perth, including Saints and Roos. If Yeo can come back we’ll be more competitive and Reid will be in a stronger stoppage outfit.

    • I think this is a lot tougher than polling indicates. Reville won’t score as highly but I think has much better JS with all of Brisbane’s injuries which are largely long term. Massive watch for teams this week if De Goey and Mitchell are back

  3. Which way to go this week.

Like most Sullivan will come in. The real question is who goes out.

Thumbs up – Phillips as he is not playing but does provide a def loop.
Thumbs down – Roberts losing money and looks to be tiring. A D’Ambrosio clone in fact.

    • Definitely worried about the soft tissue stuff. I’m bringing him in this week as my def is set for the moment and waiting on Rowell or green to bottom out for my m8. If he gets 4 weeks of good scores and does a hammy then I’m ok with it as we have plenty of trades, perhaps there’s a clearer fwd premo to grab by then

  4. DEF – Ryan, Daicos, Sheezel, Holmes, Stewart, Clohesy (Graham, Pink)
MID – Serong, Bont, Merrett, Butters, Miller, Walsh, Green, Garcia (Rogers, Sullivan, Clark)
    RUC – Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWD – Flanders, Jackson, Fyfe, Reid, Wilson, Darcy (Jones, Nyuon)

    23 trades left, $107k ITB

    I’m thinking

    OUT – Reid and Fyfe
    IN – Heeney and ….

    TU: Reville
    TD: Freijah/Richards

Unfortunately I don’t have enough ITB to upgrade both Reid and Fyfe, so I have to downgrade one them. Both of those two need to be out either way I think.

Also I have Sullivan already, so my downgrade options are pretty limited. Only other option is I go Riley Garcia, but I think that ship has well sailed and would be pretty unnecessary to get him now.

  5. Nat Fyfe, surely a hold?
Was sub effected and gave away 6 free kicks against the top of the table swans…

Expecting him to bounce back with a favourable bye. Can hold during the byes and have as good coverage. Should also hopefully reset his cash gen in a couple of weeks..

  8. So I have two options for me this week, in order to bring some cash generation into my team I could opt for the following trade this week.

Reid, Ramsden (What a terrible trade-in by me in the first place.) for Rankine and Sulivan 9k remaining in the bank.

If all of my players were to be named on the field this week, which would surprise me if they didn’t I could instead trade Reid and Graham into any premium and Sulivan.

TU: Reid, Ramsden for Rankine and Sulivan 9k remaining in the bank.

Averaging 100 over 6 games if you exclude the injury game against West Coast.
Plays North, Richmond and Gold Coast in his next three games.

Only 2 CBAs but 7 clearances against the Giants.

Is it worth holding Powell for another 2 weeks before upgrading to premo and trading Reid instead?

You should be able to upgrade Comben straight to another premo next week or after byes. The trades work even better with Reid if preferred.

Or perhaps doing a double downgrade this week, and bringing in both Sullivan ($102,400 & BE of -92) & Macrae ($168,900 & BE of -27)?

I just reckon that Macrae could start to put some solid performances together now, and he could also be an on field option for the next 4 to 6 weeks?

He has always known how to rack up the stats.

I know there is some JS issues – even if Collingwood lost a heap more lads on the weekend to injury (Harrison & Howe & Bytel).

As they have Titch & DeGoey & Schultz etc to come back in (probably this week), and then 1 or 2 or 3 weeks later they also have Mihocek & Elliot & McCreery to come back in.

Is Macrae worth considering this week – either in place of Sullivan or as a double downgrade:

  48. With news that McKercher will miss this week, who to bring in for him and Graham:

    TU: Stewart, Archer / Hardeman
TU: Stewart, non-playing 117k DPP player to bank an extra 25k (noting that I have Zac Reid on the bench as cover for when he’s named again)

  49. I am trying to get a couple of the uber premos that I missed I to my team.

What do you all think about:
    Out: H.Sheezel, T.Brown and H.Reid

    In: TU – L.Ryan, L.Sullivan and C.Serong
    TD – L.Ryan, L.Sullivan and Z.Merret

Happy to hear feedback you have for me as well. I could possibly change Brown out to W.Graham out if I took Merrett.

  50. Is it better to

TU trade Reid (WC) and Graham to Merrett and Reville or
TD Trade Reid and graham to Zorko and reville and 86k ITB

Merrett would finish my midfield but can wait a week with a BE of 137
Zorko would be my D4 but is a higher risk with his age and soft tissue injuries

    Thanks for your thoughts

TU – will keep getting tagged now that teams are seeing how effective it is, ceiling isn’t there, pass

TD – 500k is too cheap to pass up on, he’ll come good, get him in

    • Harley Reid is going to be a star of the game, there’s no doubt. I reckon he regrets though being part of the West Coast setup.
The West media has boomed him up since before he was drafted. It has gone to another level since then. There was one day before the season started, The West Australian paper had 13 photos of him. Not bad for an untested player. My wife and I do a daily Harley watch in each paper we see and it’s rare if his photo is not in twice or more.

      Probably drives him nuts too.

  52. Is Short a D6 possibility ??? Huge price fall, looks to have turned the corner, and if he plays down back gonna get plenty of ball. Allows earlier trade to either d5 or f6 to nearly complete team.

  53. Currently have 7 premo mids in Butters, Bont, Miller, Green, Merrett, Dawson, Walsh. For my last premo is it a must to get serong or should I go one of the discounted melb mids in oliver or trac?
Currently have 18 trades left and need to upgrade 1 def, 1 mid, 2 fwds and 1 ruck (have sweet as R2 atm)

T/U build up the cash for Serong
T/D go the value in oliver/trac in the next week or so

    Sullivan
    or
    Reville??
I feel Sullivan’s job security is worse than Reville’s but not sure

    TD – Rowell in 1 / 2 weeks

  56. Was going nice and easy this week
Reid to Zorko and Graham/Rogers to Bruce/Sullivan.

But with McKercher out for I reckon until his bye at least, I need either Pink or Reid to play or I’m copping donut.

TU: Stick with Plan A and take the donut
TD: Use my last boost on something like Reid/McKercher/Graham to Zorko/Bruce/Fisher

  57. Or keep Reid for an extra week and cop the loss in cash to cover McKercher
    TU: McKercher/Graham to Bruce/Houston
TD: One of the above is better

    • Why Would you want to trade Rowell?

You obviously bought in Rowell as a keeper and now you want to side ways trade him.

Surely you have more pressing issues to deal with with your team unless you have a completed team.

  58. This could either be a genius move or a really really really dumb move but hey nothing wrong with a risk.

    Mckercher and Reid out
    Fisher and Oliver in

Is it worth being this stupid?

  59. North yet to fully confirm duration of mckercher injury, suggesting he will be re-evaluated next week, is this a good sign or bad sign?

Should I be thinking of trading this week even though I can use chlosey as cover or should I trade him now?

    OUT = H Reid & Nyuon
IN = Zorko & Sullivan (advantage of getting D Jones from F6 to bench)

IN = Serong & Sullivan (disadvantage of playing D Jones at F6 with Nyuon & Livingstone both non playing on bench)

    TU: Short
    TD: Fisher

Both are a risk but it’s that or a donut.

  64. Trades last week (Roberts & T.Berry > Ryan & D.Jones)
DEF: Ryan, Daicos, Houston, Sheezel, NWM, Clohesy (Reid, Coffield)
MID: Serong, Bont, Butters, Walsh, Steele, LDU, Green
    W.Graham (H.Garcia, Rogers, Mannagh)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Sweet)
    FWDS; Flanders, Reid, D.Wilson, T.Powell, S.Darcy, D.Jones (Nyuon, Livingstone)
    $133,500 ITB, 22 trades left, 2 boosts.

Is it as simple as Reid & Coffield to Zorko and Sullivan/Reville? It would leave me with $32,200 ITB for next week. I could replace Coffield with Biggie and save an extra 50k ($$82,600 ITB)

      • Agree Wighty – Fyfe was visibly upset with the Cam McCarthy news/tribute, so I think he was understandably not in the right headspace for the game, which explains the higher clangers and free kicks against.

    T/U – Petracca this week
T/D – Play Garcia (Saints) and get Rowell once he bottoms out next week (expecting a big score from him)

  66. I have finally settled on my trades for this week

Using my last boost they are:
Out – Graham, Roberts & Reid for reasons of not playing, losing $’s and losing $’s
In – Fisher, Oliver & Sullivan for back to preseason role, looking ominous and best rookie on the bubble this week.
It leaves me with $155K in the bank. Future trades at some stage will be Sweet out for either Xerri, Marshall or English (whichever is cheapest). Will look to bring in Jackson probably after his bye for possibly McKercher depending on foot prognosis.
I was seriously tempted by Sidebottom with word he is set to play more half back but I just didn’t have big enough ‘Cohuna’s’ to do that.
    Currently ranked 1018.

Just short of Zorko. Other option is to hold Reid another week and save the trade, take the cash loss.

  68. Looks like Richmond’s McAuliffe ($117,300 MID – scored 16 as sub in round 4, then 58 points in round 5) is going to be recalled this week for Richmond.

Has been in very good form in the VFL – getting good disposal numbers & he loves a tackle.

Is he a better option to trade in that either Lachie Sullivan ($102,400) or Fin McCrae ($168,900)?

    T/up Bring in McAuliffe (Richmond)

    T/down Bring in Sullivan (Collingwood)

  69. Want to do Reid > Heeney, but I can do that without making a second trade

I’ve discussed outing Fyfe, but heaps of you seem to thinking I should hold him. Only other player to out would be Graham, but there’s no defender rookie on the bubble and I can’t switch him into the midfield.

So what do I do? Because I have no intentions of trading out any other player from my team atm
