(B) = Out due to byes this week
The players will obviously be switched around to field 18 playing this week.
DEF: Sicily, Hewett (B), Crisp, Short (B), Ridley (B), McCartin (De Koning, Wehr)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Macrae, Miller, Cripps (B), Hobbs (B), Clark (McComb, Rioli (B), C. Parker)
RUC: Gawn, Preuss (B), S. Hayes (B)
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, L. Parker, D. Martin (B), Butter, Heeney (Rosas, Curtis)
$260k/16 trades (1 boost) remaining.
I do want to get rid of Rioli and/or Curtis, but there’s no one to downgrade to that’s playing this week or on the bubble. So there’s no use doing that this week. But I may be in danger of fielding under 18 this week if Curtis gets dropped.
If he does, then I’m considering doing a controversial move in trading out Preuss for English. I could get rid of Hayes instead, but I kinda don’t want to have wasted points with Preuss sitting on the bench if I had him, English and Gawn.
It also gives me two playing ruckmen in each of the bye round.
So IF Curtis doesn’t play
TU: Preuss > English, $116k spare in the cap and gives me 18 playing
TD: Take the donut and deal with it, you JACKASS!
Or should I make the trade in English anyway, regardless of if Curtis plays or not? Feel free to comment if you have a good idea for me.
I am considering going Hayes to English to give me 2 ruckmen playing each round of the byes.
I have a non playing rookie in the forward line who I could trade to a basement priced R/F (Visentini) after R14, allowing me to swing English into the forward line and still have Gawn/Preuss in the ruck.
This also adds flexibility in case Gawn or Preuss miss a week.
Burns a trade but it could be worth it in the long run home.
Is Gawn playing injured lately? Heard something about knee strapping – possible cause for sub-par scores recently. Gawn & Darcy have the R14 bye and are currently about as cheap as they’ll get judging by BE. Darcy has a good ceiling but is an injury concern. If Gawn is fit I’d go with him – cheaper too. Looking at a Preuss swap.
I’d be looking at Sam Butler at $137k to be honest. I know he’s already had a price rise but reckon he has way more job security than either of those two and with his awful first score out of the system, hopefully he just climbs in cash. Crucially, he has the round 14 bye while the other two are round 13 and that one is gonna be very hard to get players on the park already without bringing more of them in
Gibcus with the poor game, and English with his huge haul and ruined my trade plan. 8K off now.. I can get to English with Daicos, who annoyingly doesn’t have the bye until R14. English is due to rise 30K-ish so feel it’s hard to pass him up despite the R13 bye.
TU Daicos to English
TD wait until R14 and cop the rise
With a BE of 122 Bont can wait till R14 (after his bye), but Bailey Smith’s low BE makes getting him pre-bye attractive – could easily spit out a good score and jump $25k. The only deterrent is already have 6 premos (Macrae, Dunks, English, Witts, Touk & Parker) missing in R13.
Normally would say no, but with the DPP changes Heeney Goes from an okay D6 tow now losing 30 pts a week from a Bont or Bailey Smith. So I would say Yes to a trade.
I don’t think its as simple as English vs Gawn. If you think Gawn is going to average more than your F6 then Gawn to Ruck and English to the Forward line and squeeze your F6 out.
In a forward line of Dunkley, Libba, Parker, Brodie, Cogs and Butters – would it be smart to “upgrade” 3 of them to English, Smith and Bont? Or just go with 1 or 2?
TU: Get all 3
TD: Go for 2 which are English + Smith
to be honest i can’t see any other options – all our other back men such as macdonald, marchbank, gov, parks and williams are all injured. other option is throw silvagni down there. if it’s any time to blood kemp i would do it now
Think you will find that you are getting a heap of down votes because of trading Coniglio out
I like your first two trades, and I also like getting Owens in – if he is named for his third game before round 13.
But personally I don’t like you trading out Coniglio to do those other two trades – as he has just had two good weeks (playing more MID) with the new GWS coach in charge.
Regardless of being mainly forward, Heeney was poor and lucky to have scraped to 50. Based off current form, I’d definitely hold Butters or Cogs over Isaac.
I only saw the first half of that game. Can someone please tell what the hell he did after halftime, because I’m sure he was on 30-odd at HT? Did he just go and sit in the forward pocket and play with his Tonka trucks?
After HT. Mainly parked at HF, had his stints in the middle but done F-all with them. Mainly sat outside the pack waiting for something, the couple times he got the ball contested on the outside, he turned it over.
Don’t think he had a CBA either in the second half. But that may have been to him looking even slower, more tired and lazier than the first half.
He & Whitfield both on my “never again” list – just wish I remembered that at the start of the season when I let Whitfield’s so called cheap price of $502K sucker me in. But glad I avoided Zorko – he is too much of a rollercoaster for my team.
I think Father Dougal would say he’s been hit by a Frog Truck or a Beer Cow or something. Either way, he’s old. Like Zorko. Bad scores are to be expected.
Already done carroll and durdin > owens and wehr.
Thoughts on doing Hayes > ROB
Is he maybe coming into form considering the huge SANFL score the week before?
This leaves me with only two rookies upgrades left too make but only leaves me with 12 trades
TU: Yes risky but sounds like a good move
TD: No way
Not necessarily although it would be nice if he played. Wehr is my only ‘realistic’ option as a downgrade in the defence as I don’t have any dpp options. Might just be bring him in and hope he holds his spot.
Depends how badly you need cash gen vs a warm body. Jeffrey is super pricey so doesn’t give you heaps of cash for the downgrade so I’d look at Butler who looks like he might keep getting games and his dpp is super handy. If Cleary is named this week then he’s also a good shout but at this stage of the season, you don’t necessarily need a rookie to make 200k, it’s more about downgrading to someone that allows you to upgrade elsewhere.
Preuss and Gresham out for Darcy and Butler with extra cash to upgrade Rowell next week. 19 trades left and this will likely give me 18 or 19 available plus Dixon and Cleary.
TU – do it.
TD – hold Preuss and get Tom Stewart instead.
How many currently have a starting 18 with no trades this week. Trade to make 18 on field players for me, probably get rid of some bench players for new bench players if needed make some cash, MR jnr, Curtis are two looking to go. Cannot see any sense in side trading a premo just to make 19-20 players. Hutton to Tracca worked for me last week
I am thinking something along the lines of ridley and Daicos out for Bont and Mitch Owens. I can field 19 this week with Owens playing, and he helps my bye structure.
My current premiums:
DEF: Sicily, Short, Dawson, Crisp, Hewett
MID: Macrae, Oliver, Neale, Laird, Cripps, Brayshaw, Walsh
RUC: Gawn, PREUSS
FWD: Dunkley, BRODIE, BUTTERS, HEENEY, COGS
In caps are the luxury trades at the end of the year.
What should I aim to get my team to? Who is the premium in each position I should be targeting? Thanks
I’m keeping an eye on Kemp & Cleary at selection this week, and maybe Wehr next week after bye.
Got the feeling Wehr & Kemp average 50-60, whereas Cleary maybe 55-65.
Kemp a little older and may be needed with Blues back shortage.
# Cleary may take Khamis spot- he was stiff to miss out.
Is Heeney to English worth doing? My forwards are complete already and still holding out hope that Witts and Preuss is a good enough ruck combo but kinda want Darcy there anyway so this might be my only way to bring in English and cause they’re both round 13, it might work out ok.
TU: Yes, bring in the highest averaging ruck (and forward)
TD: ride it out, Heeney will come good
He was playing well enough to keep his spot imo.
Good contested marking, tap work was great and had a real presence- bit like Mummy.
Can only assume- wasn’t quite right(illness wise) or disciplinary- was he not playing his role or misbehaving?
Averaging 110 comfortably, so I’m actually keeping with an eye to making more cash or possibly ruck keeper?
Preuss still had not recovered sufficiently from his illness to play AFL so he played in the VFL.
His stats of 7 kicks, 4 handballs, 17 hit outs, 1 tackle may not not look good on paper but apperently he played a lot of time forward.
It is expected with the bye that he will be fitter to play Rd 13.
Sorry to ask, but where did the information about Preuss not being sufficiently recovered from illness come from?
As I would have thought that if he was passed fit to play, then he could have been picked at either level (AFL or reserves level)?
The only reason that I can think of is that the GWS “reserves team” maybe played later in the weekend – so it gave him more time to recover from illness?
Obviously the other possibility is that he got dropped for the game (possibly due to match ups) versus Brisbane?
As an Preuss owner, I am really hoping he is back for the round 13 game versus North Melbourne – who are currently running with 2 x rucks (Goldstein and Xerri).
Thanks again for all the work you do on this site!!
Hi Brett,
The information came via a Toby Greene interview explaining the lack of energy Preuss had after a bad case of the flu. It was hoped that he would play but he didn’t recover enough.
The slower tempo and resting forward was deemed a more appropriate avenue for a return. He was not dropped for match up reasons only due to fitness.
The VFL game was played on Sunday so that gave him another day.
I am also a Preuss owner and will definitely be keeping him especially after 6 100 scores.
All the best with your team.
Thanks for your compliment.
Cheers. C.T.
If you have 18 players on field hold no trades, take a look at opponents team see what they have including their 4 trades can you beat them yes hold, no maybe trade
Seems Spicy, but I wouldn’t be trading Cogs until later in the season, and Hayes still has a small BE. Would hold fire unless your bye structure really needs it.
I traded hamilton last week and think it was the right move, he didnt play that well in the VFL last week and i think it will be difficult for him to crack the side post bye unless there’s a big injury. Whitfield won’t be far away at that point either. If you can do a DPP and get someone other than owens this week that could work well too
Thanks to all the work Macca does with the bye-planner. Can get at least 18 playing every week. Along with luxury trading Zorko -> Sinclair & Butters/Cogs -> Bont.
Zorko, Rosas, Hayes -> Wehr, English, 102k ruck
R13: SDK, McComb, Clark -> Sinclair, Zerrett, Owens
Now, just cross everything there is no General Soreness, COVID / Coach shenanigans etc!!
We just need some of the rookies we are bringing in to play a lot of games in the second half to help cover any late outs! … very jealous if your team is complete and still 6 trades – you have done well / held without any injury impacts etc!
3 rookies on-field. Along with Heeney, Butters, Preuss and Coniglio. Hmm.
With those trades, might have to settle for keeping 3/4 of those (Preuss, Cogs and Butters), and moving one of those later on if they start to stall.
I have been watching the swans these last 3 weeks. Heeney did play back in the guts against the Blues, but was parked forward in the two games prior (and of course the Tigers game this past Friday). Poor ball use and an unfriendly SC role has really hindered him, and unless a drastic role change occurs, I can’t see him pumping out regular tons. IMO, has to go.
Heeney -> English is a nice 20+ point-increase, ones due to fall dramatically in price while the other rises. I like it.
Hayes -> Strnadica / 102k DPP ruck if one is drafted. Is a nice cash grab as well to allow further upgrading next week onwards.
I like the moves! Would then continue to look at getting to full-premium and not worrying about the others (unless of course Preuss isn’t named next week).
Currently have 20 trades and 2 boosts, $151k ITB. Looking at;
Hayes > Visenti
McCartin > English
Prevents wasting Gawn, Preuss and Hayes as playing rucks in Round 13. Can use Visenti’s DPP to cover the ruck this week and the rest of the season using English and Cameron. Based on last rounds teams, 20 on ground this week and 18 next week before trades.
Thinking Hayes to English this week leaving me with 38k itb, thoughts?
Next week rd13 i’ll go:
mccartin > wehr
rosas > owens
mccomb > walsh
Then to get to full premo
rd14
sdk > rookie
durdin > visentini/comben (ruck/fwd dpp to swing english fwd)
clark > mills
rd15 luxury trade
one of cogs/butters/heeney > bont/smith
rioli > rookie
r16 luxury trade
one of hough/carroll/curtis > rookie
ridley > stewart
Not sure?
Maybe everyone panicing because he missed last week and has a bye this week? He was still suffering effects of illness and will be right next game.
Everyone is chasing last week points with English. An Extraordinary effort but against a depleted Eagles and non existent ruck lineup.
Does he automatically come back in CT – Flynn was ok and although probably illness affected, Preuss didn’t have a great game in the twos by all reports?
T/U
122k ITB before trades I think I’m set on Preuss out for Darcy but I’m 2k short of that so think I’ll go Thompson to Butler via DPP. This only leaves me 3k.
T/D
My other option is just to go the 1 trade and go preuss to gawn but I think I’m set on Darcy.
Obviously comes with a up-tick in high risk but after Nth easing him slowly back into the midfield over a few weeks he blew up on the weekend (144 from 77% TOG). Pure contested beast who is a tackling machine. $400k POD forward who barring injury (huge factor) will play mid throughout the whole game.
I don’t mind it if it fixes up your bye structure, has the handy R14 bye, breakeven of 5 so he’ll make some cash. If he stinks it up then you can bail out at his bye. Normally would’t recommend it but with those extra 5 trades could be a valid play.
Do have to say- it’s been a big year to avoid normal ruck set up of Grawndy. Grundy big injury and form was down, Gawn playing hurt and getting older? But still playing okay.
Looking forward into the crystal ball I wonder who will be the 2 best rucks come finals? All have their downside.
Those who had the guts to choose Witts from start big bonus- cash generation, stable and great scorer. Who would have said that leading into round 1 when he was coming off a knee injury and didn’t play much pre season.
I’m looking at Witts into Preuss longer term- with the ability to to change from Preuss as required- still got good cash gen over short/mid term anyway.
Then it’s a raffle- Gawn will probably be firing by finals, Darcy may have played whole season and dominated- like he did over Gawn & Jackson.
What’s people’s thoughts? I’m bringing in Witts next couple of weeks- so great chance of injury or form drop off for him from then on! 😉
With 11 rounds of hindsight, starting Witts and English with Hayes on the bench then going:
English > Preuss (rd 6 was English injury, Preuss bubble game following 2 x 100’s)
Hayes > Hayes (J.Hayes injured in rd 6, S.Hayes bubble game rd7)
Preuss > English (rd 11, English returns, Preuss misses 2 in a row with bye)
This would get you 2,606 points at an average of 118.5 per position; Witts (1,317), English (768), Preuss (449) and Hayes (72). Also a $130k bench rookie contribution and $250k Preuss cash cow contribution.
100% grabbing Tim English this week, is it worth getting Bailey Smith also? Means I’ll be hit or miss fielding 18 in R13 depending on rookies.
T/U – Hold fire and get Smith/Bont after their bye
T/D – Grab Smith this week before his rise in price
Similar question to SOW, but who would everyone prefer if could only get one (given I already have English, Treloar, Dunkley forward and Macrae in the mids)?
I want to cash Sam Hayes in, both my current ruckmen will play this week and next week. It means $239K in the bank now and greater flexibility of using my two boosts over the next two rounds.
Unfortunately l only have 12 trades and l still have pruess ar R2 and Whitfield at D6.
If I made no trades this week, I would have 18 playing R12 but only 15 in R13, so would need to make 3 trades R13 to get to 18 on field.
TU Option 1
trade out this week Whitfield Pruess and De koning and bring in Darcy, A Brayshaw and Owens to give me 19 for R12.
Then in R13 trade out P McCartin and Hayes and bring in Sinclair and Wehr to have 18 on field.
Use 5 trades over two weeks, gain three promos (Darcy, Brayshaw and Sinclair)and get rid of Whitfield and preuss. Leaves me with 7 trades.
TD Option 2
Leaves me with 9 trades and with only 2 Fwd premo to get
Don’t trade R12 and play the 18 players l have on field, then in R13 trade out De Koning, P Mccartin, Heeney for Sinclair, Owens, Wehr to have 18 on field.
Uses only 3 trades over 2 weeks, but gain only 1 premo (Sinclair) however it leaves still leave’s me with Whitfield as D7 and Preuss as R2. Leaves me with 9 trades and with only 2 Fwd premo to get and maybe premo ruck.

I missed out on Brodie to begin with (ugh) and am looking at essentially finalising my forward line. This seems like a simple question but wanted to ask as I already have English and Dunkley up front
Brining in English this week, however I am full of forward spots already. Don’t mind going on one of these blokes as they have their bye this week anyway.
Thoughts…..
TU: Bring in English this week and ride his Bye (likely to go up in price)
TD: Wait until after his Bye (have a tough league match up in R13)
Thanks
So I have 15 trades left before this round. Thinking of using all 3 this week. This would leave me with 12 trades for the rest of the year to upgrade one more rookie spot on the field plus eventually upgrade Rowell & L Jackson (not urgent) and cover any unexpected premo injuries. Thoughts on this:
Out: S Hayes, Durdin & D Stephens
In: English, Strnadica/Wehr & M Owens.
Anyone else done about 12 hours of working through different trade scenarios for this week (and the upcoming byes) and decided on ‘no trades’ this week…? 😀
Guys like Durdin and Hayes I need for future bye rounds and the ones I want in like Stewart and English have that awful R13 bye…I’ll pick up Merrett next week to be full premo and try work my way up from there…
Looking ahead – past the byes – which one player out of these 3 pairs would you go with:
Laird V Mills
Walsh V Parish
Dunkley V Smith (Yes I know – I’m the only coach without Dunkley…)
Laird has the consistency and soft fixture and Mills role been dicked around with recently. Would probably still says Mills on ceiling.
WALSH.
Walsh over Parish. Started Parish who was actually my Walsh replacement when he went down early – been annoying watching him. Use and system have ruined his ceiling, gets the stats for 160-180s and ends up on max 140. Walsh starting to cook with gas, incredible tank and can score anywhere. He puts Parish away.
DUNKLEY.
He’s likely F1 and will continue to sting on ownership. Have Bont and Tingles ahead of Smith as well tbh.
Only twelve hours ???? I have finally settled on a three round scenario that hopefully gives me 20/20/21 warm bodies. Now watch selections completely screw that !!
Trade 19, 1 boost
278k ITB
DEF: Sicily, Hewett (BYE), Dawson, Crisp, Short (BYE), McCartin, De Koning, Daicos
MID: Oliver, Neale, Walsh (BYE), Laird, Macrae, Cripps (BYE), Brayshaw, Clark, Stephens, Hamilton (BYE), Uwland (LOOP)
RUC: Gawn, Preuss (BYE), Hayes (BYE)
FWD: Dunkley, Heeney, Brodie, Butters (BYE), Cogs (BYE), Rosas, Rioli (BYE), Curtis
Really bullish on the big ruckmen in English and Witts. So was thinking, PREUSS into WITTS, not sure what the situation with Preuss is, but too confusing for me to keep up with, so want him out.
HEENEY into ENGLISH, trying to convince myself that it isn’t rage trading, and that Heeney is on my never again list so he shouldn’t be on my team anyway,
and finally, as I am a couple k short of that trade
HAMILTON into OWENS. Hamilton and Owens both have the byes, just thought I’d do this trade early because I want English. Of course, I could wait a week and do it with Daicos instead.
Ideas much appreciated.
Taking everything into account like Darcy’s injuries and luke Jackson who scores more points for the rest of the season and finishes as the second ruck behind Witts
TU: Gawn
TD: Darcy
Butters or cogs at F6? Currently have either one at M8/F6 but need to downgrade one so I can upgrade Hayes to Darcy and run with Clark at M8.
Tu for cogs Td for butters
Does Cogs stay in the guts next week with Taranto back? I think his midfield role might be reduced. And then Hopper is listed as 3-5 weeks as well. I’m saving a trade for later in case Cogs has to go.
291k in the bank before trades..
Fyi I do have 21 playing this week and only 15 in R13 to help you understand my byes.
I’m currently thinking early on McCartin too Owens. Gives me $530k to go Hayes too Darcy/English and next week do 2 down 1 up too 18 onfield grabbing Merrett or Walsh off their bye.
I’d love to grab English but it will hurt that middle bye. But I’m pretty confident I will win the only cash league I care about anyway.
TU: alot to comprehend but looks good.
TD: Mitch Owens JS is far too Shakey
Incase that wasn’t all enough for you .
This week I should go at R2.
Tu: English
TD: Darcy
Darcy suits my byes better but English is something else with his scoring power and consistency. Tbh I May have them both in R15 anyway yet if I swing English forward.
Yeah if I went English now it’d be at R2 til I could swing him forward and grab Darcy eventually. My current R1 is Witts and R3 Dixon with DPP. But ideally I definitely want English forward ASAP. It’s just it does hurt my R13 bye having another dogs but I don’t want to pay $650k for him in a fortnight.
Down to a couple of situations here and just need some help. The options with $200ish left over allow me to finish the team next week with 2 up and 2 down using the final boost
TU: Preuss and Hayes to Teakle and Darcy ($102.6k ITB)
TD: Hayes to Butler, swing Cameron into rucks and have 2 every round of byes ($192.7k ITB)
Comment: Preuss and Heeney to Darcy and Butler ($222.8k ITB)
Hahaha I’m with ya mate, have no clue if it’s worth grabbing these blokes. I’m tempted to grab that new guy for West Coast. We know he will eventually get games.
Is Vlaustin worth keeping or trade now before he drops any more $
Helps my rnd 13 bye and allows me another week to see if Wehr selected but means l need to trade Mccartney early.
T/U Cut your losses and trade now
T/D High ceiling – Hold for now
Backline is currently Hewett, Sinclair, Crisp, Short and Ridley and have 18 trades left. Probably just going to make 1 trade this week so who do I finish the backline with?
Torn between what to do and need some help
15 trades left and only have 17 playing this week. Both options get me to field 18
TU:
Dixon > Stradinica
Durdin > Wehr via dpp
Hayes > Darcy
TD:
Durdin > Butler
So TU lets me field 18 and gets me an extra premo from 3 rookies and leaves me better for the next byes
TD is a downgrade that allows me to play 18 this week and net some cash for the future rounds but i dont get the premo
Given the limited choices for rookie downgrades, and given the fact that he doesn’t play next week, is it silly to be bringing in Jeffrey this week anyway to bank some cash for future weeks?
TU: bring him in
TD: the boat left the harbour last week, look elsewhere
Is Luke Ryan worth a look? Rd 14 Bye, high ceiling, Chapman out for a few weeks, BE 23. He’s scored poorly for a lot of the year but if he gets on a roll he could make $100k, points on field then assess in a month or so.
Looking outside the box a little.
TU: Hayes & Carroll -> English & Teakle
TD: Hayes, Carroll, O’Driscoll -> English, Teakle, Parnell
Just tossing up between bringing in Parnell or not. I’ll have 18 players on field without him. Bringing him in leaves me with 15 trades, fully intending to use 6 trades over the next 2 weeks.
Targeting either Sicily or English this week who will both be super expensive now, especially Sicily..
Who is the bigger priority? Leaning towards Sicily as I will be completely decimated if I pick up anymore players with the middle bye.
Tu; Sicily
Td; english
Vlastuin + Gibcus + Curtis Out
English + Someone + Someone in
How much cash you got for those 2 spots?
Bank 113,000
Butters and cogs out for Bont and Baz? Or only one? Already have english R1 and Dunkley F1. Too many hounds?
Butters has a BE of 33. As much as I want to get rid of him I’m holding for a week or 2. Keep an eye on how he goes. One bad score and trade him out.
Butters BE 52 but not a big difference.
Likely hold fire this week and next, last upgrade round 13 if Wehr plays.
Grab Sicily who will be well over 600 or too expensive ?
Tu or Td
If you have the funds. Get him. I got him 3 weeks ago. Nothing but Bliss
Hoping I can afford English… Durdin and Hayes out and cheapest R/F available in with English.
Keen to keep either McCartin or SDK as D7/F7 cover due to their consistency and dpp.
TU: Good Call to have this cover for injuries
TD: Cash in on them and back fresh rookies
Just one trade for me this week.
Daicos – out
McDonald – in
I have $482k in the bank and boy o boy am I looking forward to upgrading for round 13.
Not thinking about holdin Daicos over his bye R13? He won’t drop too much more from here I reckon
Anyone know how bad the McGovern injury is ? 1 week out or gone for a few ?
He has a nerve-related back injury.
I will update in “The Coaches Box” as soon as an update is available.
Who is the bigger priority this week?
English
Stewart
Stuffed for round 13 bye so doesn’t really matter

Thanks CT, how close did Titch get to DPP?
T/U – English
T/D – Bont
Is there still 3 trades available during the bye rounds?
Yes.
Use wisely, good luck with the byes.
That apply’s to everyone.
Is it worth trading in strnadica even though he probably wont play for the rest of the season so that I can get in Sicily?
Not sure if you guys have notcied but there are basically 0 rookies to bring in this week.
trades would be SDK (bad bye)>sicily and Hayes>strnadica
If you are going to trade out for a non playing player at least get someone with DPP
Do you need a fwd/ruck option?
Btw, my plan the following week is to use my last boost. Get Rioli out for Owens, downgrade one of McCartin or SDK and upgrade the other to Sinclair.
Probably won’t need to make any trades in Rd.14
I also have Gawn/Preuss/Hayes in my ruckline.
If I have 9 midfielders avail for round 12, can the Emergency Mid on the bench count towards my top 18 scores? Cheers
Unfortunately not CDawg , the E works the same as a usual round so a mid E would replace a mid on field who doesn’t play.
The max number of mids that can count towards your score remains 8.
Hopefully you have some mid/fwd or mid/def guys to swing around the place.
Good luck!
No, but you can loophole bye players (assuming that hasn’t changed this year).
CDawg – Yes, if you DPP one of them into a different position onfield.
Gawns problem is Jackson
Rookies are slim pickings, both of these options played first game in R11 and don’t have R12 bye.
TU: Shannon Neale FWD 124K
TD: Matty Roberts MID 117K
(Playing for League)
With a BE of 122 Bont can wait till R14 (after his bye), but Bailey Smith’s low BE makes getting him pre-bye attractive – could easily spit out a good score and jump $25k. The only deterrent is already have 6 premos (Macrae, Dunks, English, Witts, Touk & Parker) missing in R13.
tu- darcy
td-gawn
who to bring in
tu- stewart
td – english but would have to use another trade
T/U: Rhylee West
T/D: Joel Jeffrey
Who are you trading to them? Just at their price you don’t make much cash out of the downgrade. Could be worth considering cheaper options
Thanks Johnno. Sam Butler is cheaper as u mentioned and helps for a better upgrade elsewhere. I want to Trade out Durdin
Hayes & Preuss to English & Gawn
T/U – Yes
T/D – No
tu – Sinclair
td – Hewett
Have 15 trades left, do I trade Heeney?
Normally would say no, but with the DPP changes Heeney Goes from an okay D6 tow now losing 30 pts a week from a Bont or Bailey Smith. So I would say Yes to a trade.
Need advice please guys:
My team:
DEF: Sicily, Hewett, Dawson, Crisp, Short, McCartin (O’Driscoll, Khamis)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Macrae, Miller, Cripps, Horne-Francis (McComb, Clark, C. Stephens)
RUCK: Gawn, Preuss (S. Hayes)
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, Butters, Heeney, Coniglio, S. De Koning (MacDonald, Rioli)
15 trades left, 2 boosts, $72,500 in bank
Do I make any moves? If so who do I trade/bring in?
Instinct tells me to hold what I have this week
My forward line is full,so for ruck only.
Playing purely for leagues..
Tu English
Td Gawn
I don’t think its as simple as English vs Gawn. If you think Gawn is going to average more than your F6 then Gawn to Ruck and English to the Forward line and squeeze your F6 out.
Yeah agree thanks Dom
TU:
JHF > Owens
McCartin > Stewart
TD:
JHF > Owens
De Koning > English
Comment: no trade
In a forward line of Dunkley, Libba, Parker, Brodie, Cogs and Butters – would it be smart to “upgrade” 3 of them to English, Smith and Bont? Or just go with 1 or 2?
TU: Get all 3
TD: Go for 2 which are English + Smith
SDK –> Owens
Daicos –> Stewart
Have 20 (19 post trades) this week so perfect opportunity to grab Stewart when his BE is sub 70
To the Carlton fans,
Will Kemp get a game with Weitering out?
to be honest i can’t see any other options – all our other back men such as macdonald, marchbank, gov, parks and williams are all injured. other option is throw silvagni down there. if it’s any time to blood kemp i would do it now
Too late to go for Jeffrey?
Just went up about 60k, but still has a BE of -77
Related to above post about Jeffrey ^^
T/U – Go for it, will be valuable over the byes as he can score.
T/D – No, the extra 60k can be spent for upgrades.
Cheers
Thoughts on:
Preuss > Witts
Hayes > English
Coniglio > Owens
Think you will find that you are getting a heap of down votes because of trading Coniglio out
I like your first two trades, and I also like getting Owens in – if he is named for his third game before round 13.
But personally I don’t like you trading out Coniglio to do those other two trades – as he has just had two good weeks (playing more MID) with the new GWS coach in charge.
What should I do…
T/U – Durdin > Bailey Smith
T/D – Daicos > Tom Stewart
Final def upgrade next week
TU – Sinclair
TD – Docherty
Downgrades to fund it:
McComb to Owens next week
Durdin to Butler this week, or Wehr next week. Any other possible downgrade targets?
Skinner?
Hi Community,
Who will score more from herein in Defense
TU: Angus Brayshaw (MELB)
TD: Luke Ryan (FRE)
Zorko, Rosas & Hayes -> Wehr, English & 102k Ruck loop.
Sets me up to get Sinclair and Zerrett next week and have 18 playing.
Using 2 trades in R14-15, I can also move Cogs or Butters to the Bont.
Completed team with 6 trades remaining.
Could hold Zorko and complete the team with 7 trades, but he looked slow and tired on the weekend and will bleed cash.
Abs no $102k fwd / ruck loops available. If you’re happy with a non DPP ruck then all good.
Otherwise for me it’s probably WC Williams at $117k
Cheers Jamhead, probably can’t afford Williams with proposed trade plan.
Waiting on mid-season draft. Really hoping someone appears that has DPP @102k.
I’m trading Heeney, clearly not gonna be Top 6, let alone Top 12 in my opinion. See ya son!
Regardless of being mainly forward, Heeney was poor and lucky to have scraped to 50. Based off current form, I’d definitely hold Butters or Cogs over Isaac.
I’m in the mood for some serious rage trading.
OUT: Zorko, Pendlebury and Hayes
IN: Sinclair, Stewart and some 117K R/F spud, who will probably outscore Zorko anyway
I wish I could blame you Chillo, but just hearing “Dayne Zorko” triggers me.
Watch him pump a 150 out this week hahaha
I don’t have zorko here but he’s burned me since I grabbed him in fantasy and if it wasn’t for the damn byes, he’d be booted for sure
He & Whitfield both on my “never again” list – just wish I remembered that at the start of the season when I let Whitfield’s so called cheap price of $502K sucker me in. But glad I avoided Zorko – he is too much of a rollercoaster for my team.
Scott Pendlebury…
T/U – Hold
T/D – Sell
Can any Collingwood or other supporters shed any light on why Pendles has scored so poorly the last couple of weeks (73 then 62)?
He had been so consistently good up until then.
I know he was crook, so was a late withdrawal for round 9.
And Optus Stadium was very wet & muddy for his return in round 10 – although he usually plays well in the wet.
But I didn’t see any of the game versus Carlton on the weekend – so not sure why he scored so poorly on the weekend just gone?
Thanks in advance
I think Father Dougal would say he’s been hit by a Frog Truck or a Beer Cow or something. Either way, he’s old. Like Zorko. Bad scores are to be expected.
Already done carroll and durdin > owens and wehr.
Thoughts on doing Hayes > ROB
Is he maybe coming into form considering the huge SANFL score the week before?
This leaves me with only two rookies upgrades left too make but only leaves me with 12 trades
TU: Yes risky but sounds like a good move
TD: No way
Has Weagles this week as well! Don’t mind it.

Initially I was going to hold fire this week since I have 21 warm bodies, but with some curious trading I’m tempted by this.
Daicos > Wehr
Hayes > Strnadica
Durdin > English
Leaves me with 166k in the bank which I can use for SDK/McCartin > Sinclair next week. Any thoughts? Cheers
@LeGoat, I like those trades but do you need Wehr to play through the R13 and R14 byes?
What’s everyone’s thoughts on Wehr retaining his place with Whitfield and Taranto (at least) to come back for GWS next week?
Hi Brett,
Not necessarily although it would be nice if he played. Wehr is my only ‘realistic’ option as a downgrade in the defence as I don’t have any dpp options. Might just be bring him in and hope he holds his spot.
Thoughts on…..
Preuss > English
Heeney > Stewart
Daicos > Owens
Who is the best player to bring in for cash gen this week?
Joel Jeffrey, or (if they play) Luke Cleary, Luke Strnadica.
Who needs to go first?
TU: Heeney
TD: De Koning
Bye issues like everyone else.
Preuss and Gresham out for Darcy and Butler with extra cash to upgrade Rowell next week. 19 trades left and this will likely give me 18 or 19 available plus Dixon and Cleary.
TU – do it.
TD – hold Preuss and get Tom Stewart instead.
Preuss was average in the twos by all accounts. May not be back after the bye. The Caboose may be derailed.
Who to bring in?
TU: Stewart
TD: English
How many currently have a starting 18 with no trades this week. Trade to make 18 on field players for me, probably get rid of some bench players for new bench players if needed make some cash, MR jnr, Curtis are two looking to go. Cannot see any sense in side trading a premo just to make 19-20 players. Hutton to Tracca worked for me last week
I’ve got 17, my opponent before trades has 10. Think I might hold this week…
I am thinking something along the lines of ridley and Daicos out for Bont and Mitch Owens. I can field 19 this week with Owens playing, and he helps my bye structure.
T/U – Yes
T/D – No
Looks like people arent going for this
Mitch Owens will not be playing this round as St Kilda has the bye.
For Preuss owners, are you moving him on?
Heeney to Baz?
Tu: Yeah
TD: Yeah nah too sideways
OUT: Rich, Heeney
IN: Stewart, English
T/U – Do it.
T/D – Rage trading, hold fire.
TU
Out: Heeney Daicos ODriscoll
In: English Stewart Cleary AND one Donut this week
TD
Out: Nic Martin, O Driscoll
In: English Cleary AND no donuts this week (this will need another 2 trades to bring Stewart in next week.)
Could also go Durdin to Butler from the Hawks instead of Cleary
Final ruck spot need someone with the rd 14 bye:
TU: Gawn
TD: Darcy
My current premiums:
DEF: Sicily, Short, Dawson, Crisp, Hewett
MID: Macrae, Oliver, Neale, Laird, Cripps, Brayshaw, Walsh
RUC: Gawn, PREUSS
FWD: Dunkley, BRODIE, BUTTERS, HEENEY, COGS
In caps are the luxury trades at the end of the year.
What should I aim to get my team to? Who is the premium in each position I should be targeting? Thanks
Preuss to English or Witts.
Bring in Bailey Smith and/or Bontempelli in the forward line.
I would be keeping Brodie, looks like a top 8 forward to me.
Anonymous Jude I would be thinking Heeney to English.
TU Hayes > ROB
TD Preuss > ROB
Thanks Coaches
Should I trade my loophole Uwland to a rookie for the byes? Or is it not worth it?
English
Or
Witts
Stevo wonders… is Preuss to Witts a good trade?
Stevo likes Witts.
Stevo says thank you.
Stevo out.
Gibcus to…
T/U – Wehr
T/D – Cleary
I’m keeping an eye on Kemp & Cleary at selection this week, and maybe Wehr next week after bye.
Got the feeling Wehr & Kemp average 50-60, whereas Cleary maybe 55-65.
Kemp a little older and may be needed with Blues back shortage.
# Cleary may take Khamis spot- he was stiff to miss out.
I think Kemp has the bye this week – so will need to wait a week to see if he gets picked?
But he could be a really good option with all the injuries to the tall players at Carlton – he was in my pre-season team.
Carlton are apparently trying to bolster their talls in the mid season draft – so maybe also keep an eye out for who they bring in there.
Agree that Cleary was very stiff to get dropped – although he is skinny, he looked very composed & “at home” at AFL level.
TD: ride it out, Heeney will come good
Is Preuss going to get game time? Why was he coming back in the 2’s?
@ CT – g’day!!
Thanks for this update on Preuss 🙂
Cheers. C.T.
Alright, I seriously have no clue what I should do in terms of trades this round. I know I want to get Ridley out for Bonbt via McCartin DPP
The team is As follows ( adapted for byes, so I have rookies onfield and premiums on the bench)
Defence – Sicily, Hewett (Bye), Sinclair (Bye), Crisp, Short (Bye), Ridley
(Dean, Uwland)
Midfield – Oliver, Neale, Laird, Macrae, Daicos, Clark, Soligo, McDonald ( Walsh (Bye), Cripps (Bye), Carroll (Bye) )
Ruck – English, Gawn (Hayes (Bye) )
Forward – Dunkley, Brodie, Parker, Heeney, McCartin, Jeffrey (Rioli (Bye), Long)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
GGG
19.2k ITB and 16 trades remaining with 3 boosts
If you have 18 players on field hold no trades, take a look at opponents team see what they have including their 4 trades can you beat them yes hold, no maybe trade
Anyway to upgrade daicos?
Out – Hayes and Cogs, In – English and Owens
TU – good trades
TD – bad trades
Seems Spicy, but I wouldn’t be trading Cogs until later in the season, and Hayes still has a small BE. Would hold fire unless your bye structure really needs it.
Thanks RHCP. My thinking was that it was really the only way I could get English in before he’s well over $600k.
But it does look to be an unpopular trade so I’ll have to reassess!
Update on Cooper Hamilton?
See below on my reply to Nathan’s comment
Thinking Hamilton, Heeney to English and Owens…?
Or would it be better to wait around and do it with Daicos instead of Hamilton?
I traded hamilton last week and think it was the right move, he didnt play that well in the VFL last week and i think it will be difficult for him to crack the side post bye unless there’s a big injury. Whitfield won’t be far away at that point either. If you can do a DPP and get someone other than owens this week that could work well too
15 trades left, 2 boosts:
Heeney, Preuss & Hayes > English, Bontempelli, Strandica
Deciding to Hold Pruess, thinking of the below:
Out: Hayes, Durdin, Hobbs (going a bit early, I know)
In: English, Strnadica, and $117kish rookie (early on Owens, Cleary, etc)
$102k in the bank and this gives me 18 this week
TU: Good trades
TD: Rethink
May be wrong section to put this question but unsure where else. Apologies in advance.
Can anyone enlighten me into how Buku Khamis didn’t gain fwd status seeing he plays deep fwd?
He didn’t play the required minimum of 6 games to qualify for change.
Yep CT
The requirement is 4 by R6, 6 by R12 and 8 by R18.
Who to trade out for English
TU – pruess
TD – cogs
I could also trade heeney or butters?
Or is this too much of a sideways trade?
Thanks to all the work Macca does with the bye-planner. Can get at least 18 playing every week. Along with luxury trading Zorko -> Sinclair & Butters/Cogs -> Bont.
Zorko, Rosas, Hayes -> Wehr, English, 102k ruck
R13: SDK, McComb, Clark -> Sinclair, Zerrett, Owens
R14: Butters/Cogs, Stephens -> Bont, 102k rook.
6 trades remaining with a completed team!
Thanks for the shout out Abs and nice planning!
Who to trade out for English
TU Heeney and cash
TD Nic Martin
Hey fellas, need some advice, what changes (if any) do I make to my team:
DEF: Sicily, Hewett, Dawson, Crisp, Short, McCartin (O’Driscoll, Khamis)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Macrae, Miller, Cripps, Horne-Francis (McComb, Clark, C.Stephens)
RUCK: Gawn, Preuss (S. Hayes)
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, Butters, Heeney, Coniglio, De Koning (MacDonald, Rioli)
Thinking either Heeney & Hayes to English & Strandica or no trades at all, thoughts?
How many trades and $?
Hey Abs 15 trades and 72,500 cash
Currently have 20 trades and 2 boosts, $151k ITB. Looking at;
Hayes > Visenti
McCartin > English
Prevents wasting Gawn, Preuss and Hayes as playing rucks in Round 13. Can use Visenti’s DPP to cover the ruck this week and the rest of the season using English and Cameron. Based on last rounds teams, 20 on ground this week and 18 next week before trades.
TU; Do it
TD; Hold
Thanks in advance everyone, cheers.
Chasing some much needed advice, what changes (if any) do I make to my team:
Currently have 328k itb and 16 trades no boosts
DEF: Sicily, Hewett, Crisp, Short, Docherty, Ridley (SDK, McCartin)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Macrae, Miller, Cripps, McComb, Clark (Hough, Carroll, Rioli)
RUCK: Gawn, Preuss (S. Hayes)
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, Butters, Heeney, Cogs, Rosas (Durdin, Curtis)
Thinking Hayes to English this week leaving me with 38k itb, thoughts?
Next week rd13 i’ll go:
mccartin > wehr
rosas > owens
mccomb > walsh
Then to get to full premo
rd14
sdk > rookie
durdin > visentini/comben (ruck/fwd dpp to swing english fwd)
clark > mills
rd15 luxury trade
one of cogs/butters/heeney > bont/smith
rioli > rookie
r16 luxury trade
one of hough/carroll/curtis > rookie
ridley > stewart
Hayes to English is a no brainer. Hopefully there’s no wrenches thrown in the other plans but good luck
Howcome everyone seems to be getting rid of pruess ? yet to drop under 100
I expect him to come back in.
I wrote about Preuss in previous posts above, giving reasons for VFL game. He was still not right.
Maybe we are panicking but English BE is hella low think i’ll move him on
A 128 average is very good reason to move on him now
T/U – Option 1:
Pruess > English
Curtis > Owens
T/D – Option 2:

Hi posty,
Unfortnately, Wehr has the bye this week.
English but find another player that is not in the bye round.
Tu Hayes to Darcy
Td Pruess to Darcy
T/U Baz
T/D Gawn
Think its time to jump on English before he’s out of reach
T/U – Hayes & Daicos to English & Owens
T/D – Preuss & Dixon to English & Owens
If you need daicos for bye cover then i’d do the TD option but if your fine throughout the byes then TU it is
Looks like Coaches Box has been hacked again @Chaos Theory 🙁
All sorted
Caught that one Fos.
Thanks for letting us know!
In Luke Ryan OUT Nick Daicos
Thoughts are trading in Luke Ryan now while his cheap and upgrading my team ASAP and eventually playing him at D7 cover.
TU – YES
TD – NO
Is there any love out there for Jed Anderson?
Obviously comes with a up-tick in high risk but after Nth easing him slowly back into the midfield over a few weeks he blew up on the weekend (144 from 77% TOG). Pure contested beast who is a tackling machine. $400k POD forward who barring injury (huge factor) will play mid throughout the whole game.
I don’t mind it if it fixes up your bye structure, has the handy R14 bye, breakeven of 5 so he’ll make some cash. If he stinks it up then you can bail out at his bye. Normally would’t recommend it but with those extra 5 trades could be a valid play.
I am also looking at trading Nic Martin to Jed Anderson, cost $32k.
Gives me extra coverage in R12 & R13.
He has been savaged by injury in 2021 and COVID problems earlier this year. The Roos have eased him back in and he is hitting peak fitness now.
Look at his 2020 stats:
Played 15/18 games
8 scores over 100 including 4 over 140, highest 174.
If he stinks it up he should have made enough cash by R14 to upgrade to a reasonable premium or sit at F7.
High risk, high reward.
Very much intrigued by Anderson as well but I’m likely to play it safe and focus on getting English/Darcy in
Do have to say- it’s been a big year to avoid normal ruck set up of Grawndy.
Witts is the pick. Last 4 games against 3 teams with below average rucks.
A must have during the finals.
Not for bye structure but a must to trade in this round as I doubt I will be able to get both in my Team
TU – Stewart
TD – English
100% grabbing Tim English this week, is it worth getting Bailey Smith also? Means I’ll be hit or miss fielding 18 in R13 depending on rookies.
T/U – Hold fire and get Smith/Bont after their bye
T/D – Grab Smith this week before his rise in price
Am I the only person hesitating on Bont despite his dpp ?? The r13 bye is a problem, and I already have three dogs including English.
Similar question to SOW, but who would everyone prefer if could only get one (given I already have English, Treloar, Dunkley forward and Macrae in the mids)?
TU: Bont
TD: B.Smith
I want to cash Sam Hayes in, both my current ruckmen will play this week and next week. It means $239K in the bank now and greater flexibility of using my two boosts over the next two rounds.
TU: Sound logic
TD: Reconsider
I have a dilemma this week
Which is better option, thanks in advance

If there is a right time, when is the best time to go preuss to Darcy/Gawn? (Already have witts, and English will be forward upgrade.)
This week makes the most sense, or post-bye in round 15. However, Darcy will be 600k you’d have to think.
T/U: NOD>Patrick Parnell
T/D: Corey Durdin>Sam Butler
I missed out on Brodie to begin with (ugh) and am looking at essentially finalising my forward line. This seems like a simple question but wanted to ask as I already have English and Dunkley up front
TU: Brodie
TD: B Smith
Pending a disaster when teams are announced, I’ll be doing:
N. Martin and P. Curtis -> J. Jeffrey and T. English
Why not just Martin to English? Curtis to Jeffrey costs money and you make next week harder than it has to be
Out – Ridley, Heeney, Daicos
In – Bont, Stewart, Owens
T/U – yes
T/D – No
I have 18 onfield before this trade, but Ridley and heeney were going to be luxury trades, so why not do it now
Is it worth going Butters or Ridley to English? Don’t have the cash to upgrade from a rookie
Follow up question. Who goes?
T/U: Ridley
T/D: Butters
Which Docker comes into my backline?
TU: Luke Ryan
TD: Jordan Clark
Brining in English this week, however I am full of forward spots already. Don’t mind going on one of these blokes as they have their bye this week anyway.
Who is the better option to trade out?
Tu; Butters
Td; Coniglio
Maka, who are your other forwards?
Dunks bont Brodie parker butters cogs
Thoughts…..
TU: Bring in English this week and ride his Bye (likely to go up in price)
TD: Wait until after his Bye (have a tough league match up in R13)
Thanks
Hey guys,
So I have 15 trades left before this round.
(I need to use 3 trades in order to get English)
TU: Yes
TD: No
With this set up, I’ll have 18 players playing this week so can afford to bring in Owens & Strnadica/Wehr (who are on the bye or not being selected)
Would be jolly nice if Dixon got a game this week.
Hey all…
Anyone else done about 12 hours of working through different trade scenarios for this week (and the upcoming byes) and decided on ‘no trades’ this week…?
Cheers
Mills, Walsh & Dunkley. All can go big.
Thanks King…
Ooof. That is tough, Dale.
MILLS.
Thanks GD – your opinion always welcome and valued…
Preuss to Witts?
The particularly good part of Preuss to Witts means you’ll have two rucks every bye too
Heeney to English?
And finally,
Heeney and Hamilton to English and Owens
OR
Wait a week and go Daicos instead of Hamilton
T/U English
T/D Gawn
Tu de koning to English
Td Heeney to English
Need to get English in….
De Koning to English
Hayes to Teakle
Rioli to Owens
Going early on Hayes to Teakle (loophole option) but needed the cash to upgrade SDK to English without trading Pruess.
TU or TD?
Trade this week…
TU: P. McCartin
TD: SDK
Taking everything into account like Darcy’s injuries and luke Jackson who scores more points for the rest of the season and finishes as the second ruck behind Witts
TU: Gawn
TD: Darcy
Got no defender that is playing so went with Cleary hoping he plays so what do you guys think?
J.Gibcus,M.Rioli,S.Hayes >L. Cleary,T.English,L.Strnadica
Parnell instead of Cleary
Sam Butler an option?
But Parnell is debuting and isn’t he covering for someone if he doesn’t score well he gets dropped.
Already got butler.
Any love for D Cameron as Ruck / Fwd
T/U Daicos to Sam Butler
T/D Gibcus to Wehr
Byes not applicable.
Thoughts on Jed Anderson
Jack Hayes > Owens (Via dpp)
Butters > English (Already have 6 fwds)
This allows me to hold mcartin and Sam Hayes as cover throughout the byes!
Tu or Td
Butters or cogs at F6? Currently have either one at M8/F6 but need to downgrade one so I can upgrade Hayes to Darcy and run with Clark at M8.
Tu for cogs Td for butters
Given that there are 3 trades this round can you trade 2 rookies to get the cash to upgrade Darcy?
I’d say English as a fwd is definitely the right choice since witts and Darcy/Gawn are out scoring most of the FWDS
TU;
Jack Hayes > Owens
Butters > English
(19 on field this week)
TD;
Mcartin > Wehr
Stephens > Owens
Sam Hayes > English
(18 on field this week)
T/U –
Hayes > English
Daicos > Owens
T/D –
Preuss > English
Daicos > Stewart
Heeney > Owens
Who has better JS?
TU: Parnell
TD: Butler
Down to a couple of situations here and just need some help. The options with $200ish left over allow me to finish the team next week with 2 up and 2 down using the final boost
TU: Preuss and Hayes to Teakle and Darcy ($102.6k ITB)
TD: Hayes to Butler, swing Cameron into rucks and have 2 every round of byes ($192.7k ITB)
Comment: Preuss and Heeney to Darcy and Butler ($222.8k ITB)
From above question
TU: Preuss and Heeney to Darcy and Butler ($222.8k ITB)
Thoughts?
Pruess > English
Dixon > Butler
Who’s a better option?
Byes nil issues
T/U – Mitch Owens
T/D – Sam Butler
This week (20 after trades)
Gibcus/Hayes Out
McDonald/Jeffrey In (Cameron to RUC)
Next week (19 after trades)
SDK/McCartin/Rosas Out
Sinclair/Wehr/Owens In
Week after (22 playing after trades)
Curtis/Daicos Out
FWD Premo/DEF Rook in
13 trades left for R14 onwards and team:
DEF: Dawson, Short, Crisp, Sinclair, Hewett, Macdonald (Wehr/Rookie)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Miller, Macrae, Green, Crouch, Cripps, Brayshaw (Clark, Stephens, Rioli)
RUC: Witts, Preuss (RUC/FWD NPR)
FWD: Parker, Dunkley, Butters, Cogs, Brodie, Cameron (Premo, Jeffrey)
Could then look at luxury trades of Macdonald > Stewart/Sicily, Preuss> Darcy, Cameron > English, Green > Mills etc.
Is this alright forward thinking? Is 13 trades enough for the run home?
Will Owens get dropped when Higgins comes back?
And Wehr dropped for Whitfield?
So hard to find a decent downgrade option that will still make cash
Hahaha I’m with ya mate, have no clue if it’s worth grabbing these blokes. I’m tempted to grab that new guy for West Coast. We know he will eventually get games.
Is Vlaustin worth keeping or trade now before he drops any more $
Helps my rnd 13 bye and allows me another week to see if Wehr selected but means l need to trade Mccartney early.
T/U Cut your losses and trade now
T/D High ceiling – Hold for now
Who would get kore games you’d think:
T/U : B Teakle
T/D : Strndica
Cheers everyone.
Already gone Ridley to English. Should I go Butters to Bont/Sinclair/McDonald?
Butters has tonnes on his last 3 games. I’d be looking at offloading any rookies.
How does Wehr’s JS look with Taranto and Whitfield coming back in ?
Can I bring him in early to fix up my R13 mess of a bye…
TU: looks good
TD: pass JS is shakey
Backline is currently Hewett, Sinclair, Crisp, Short and Ridley and have 18 trades left. Probably just going to make 1 trade this week so who do I finish the backline with?
T/up – Stewart
T/down – Dawson
Torn between what to do and need some help
15 trades left and only have 17 playing this week. Both options get me to field 18
TU:
Dixon > Stradinica
Durdin > Wehr via dpp
Hayes > Darcy
TD:
Durdin > Butler
So TU lets me field 18 and gets me an extra premo from 3 rookies and leaves me better for the next byes
TD is a downgrade that allows me to play 18 this week and net some cash for the future rounds but i dont get the premo
Tough one
But I voted down as I am concerned about the job security for Wehr with a few GSW players returning next week (eg Taranto, Whitfield etc).
Although Wehr has looked very good in his first two games.
And who knows if Strnadica will play again this year?
So you may be left with another 2 non playing players for an extended period (& through the byes) if you go with Option 1.
Yeh thats fair enough although stradinca would just be used as a loop at r3 then as im swapping him from hugh dixon who wasnt playing anyway
Who has better JS?
TU: Butler
TD: Owens
Is this a good trade? TU if you agree;
Out: Heeney, Nic M, Daicos
In: English, Jeffrey, Stewart
Leaves me with 17 playing this week.
Who scores more from here on in?
TU: Bailey Smith
TD: Bont
Last week traded N.Martin and Gibcus > Parish and Wehr
(B) = Out due to byes this week
DEF: Sicily, Hewett (B), Crisp, Ridley (B), N.Daicos, McCartin (Sinn, Wehr)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish (B), Macrae, Miller, Cripps (B), JHF, (McComb, G.Clark, Hollands)
RUC: Gawn, Preuss (B) (S.Hayes (B))
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, Parker, Butters (B), Cogs(B), Durdin (B) (M.Rioli (B), C.MacDonald)
$113,300 in the bank, 21 trades left, three trade boosts left
Thinking of going JHF & Preuss to Jeffery (via C.MacDonald DPP) & English. But suggestions are very much appreciated
JS for Parnell will he hold his spot? is risky to get him on his first game
TU: Strong JS no risk
TD: Risky no get look else where
What’s everyone’s thoughts on o’riordon from Sydney?
Tossing up between Sicily or English this week- I have 20 starters though and 16 trades left but thinking either:
Tu: Daicos/SDK/ McComb> Owens/Wehr/ Sicily
Or
Td: McComb/SDK/ SHayes(keep PruessR2)> Strnadica/ Wehr/ English (Finish off forwards)
Who’s the better rookie to bring in and why?
Tu-Wehr
Td-Butler
Butler for job security. Whitfield has been out for both of Wehr’s games
Given the limited choices for rookie downgrades, and given the fact that he doesn’t play next week, is it silly to be bringing in Jeffrey this week anyway to bank some cash for future weeks?
TU: bring him in
TD: the boat left the harbour last week, look elsewhere
Which is the better combination?
TU: Gawn & Bont
TD: Darcy and Baz
Is Luke Ryan worth a look? Rd 14 Bye, high ceiling, Chapman out for a few weeks, BE 23. He’s scored poorly for a lot of the year but if he gets on a roll he could make $100k, points on field then assess in a month or so.
Looking outside the box a little.
Who to vice captain?
– mcrae TU
– English TD
seen only one ruckman has scored over 100 against Geelong
Hugh, possibly a non relevant stat.
Against Geelong,
Preuss 103, ROB 175, Grundy 96,
Darcy didnt play,
haven’t played English, Witts or Gawn yet.
Hey everyone!
Thanks!
