Apparently only a couple of weeks. With the bye in round 12, there’s every chance that the only game he actually misses is next week. Maybe he misses round 13 as well but only Freo and St Kilda are on bye then so should be able to cover that one easily enough too
i would hold JHF. who else do you go to (assuming you have petracca, warner, rankine, macrea, smith). he has the round 12 bye anyway. unless me get a good DPP next week
callaghan is a trade out. he is going well, but there are better options.
Probably just Hewett to Simpson this week, barring injury news. Feel like there’s a lot of huge price fluctuations with premos right now and a few look ripe for picking in a few weeks. With only 3 rookies left on field and 22 trades left, I’m in no rush, will bide my time until the prices are right.
In: S Bolton, J Dawson, C Simpson
Out: J Horne-Francis, E Hewett, L Trainor
T/U or T/D
Love the Dawson easy C this week, will monster WC at home. 4 of his last 6 are at Adelaide Oval where we know he scores well, the two away trips during that period are to play WC and NM. I tend to value SC scoring potential during the finals rounds highly when picking a premo, so that is my reasoning for the Dawson pick.
Looking forward to latest DPP possibilities, Simpson & Binns in particular. Both played defence from memory. If they got DPP would be a welcome addition to my many non-DPP bench players.
I think the minimum is three games? please correct me if I’ve got that wrong
otherwise Simpson and Binns will scrape in assuming they are named to play this week. Simpson would be a lock for D/F if so, not quite as sure about Binns
What do we think about Bolton. 450k can go big, can also go missing case in point two weeks ago. Could make sone cash over the byes.. Maybe a good M9 or F7?
Shai Bolton is priced at 429.7k with a BE of -24. If he averages 100, which he has been doing this season aside from his one shocker score, he’ll be 500k in two weeks.
It’s obviously risk as he has burned owners once this season, but the rest of his form is sparkling, and will likely make as much cash as someone like an Archer Day-Wicks in the short term, with genuine Top 6 forward upside. Worth a roll of the dice for me this week.
The team has completely plateaued. It feels like every week I’m failing the rookie roulette and fielding a 50. My strategy is therefore to get these rookies off field. I can’t upgrade this week I already have Simpson.
I’m currently thinking Cleary and E. Hewett for Phillipou and Coleman. I know Pou scored badly this week but surely that’s a blip considering saints played badly and he stuffed his finger resulting in time on the bench.
This ultimately leaves me with Lindsay, Reid and Levi being my remaining pure rookies on field with 19 trades left.
I’d try to find a better downgrade option than Sheldrick. He’s just not reliable this year and can’t be sure that he’ll get enough proper games to make the cash at such an elevated price point already
Plays the same position as Docherty who had another billion possessions in the twos last weekend. And Carlton lost, which makes changes more likely. Has the lousy Rd 12 bye also.
I like Binns, he has worked really hard for this opportunity. But at this price, that’s a lot of risk to be taking on. See if he’s named this week and you’re not overloaded on the Rd 12 bye.
Do I keep holding off doing Roberts > Sinclair, or just bite the bullet? Roberts keeps dropping and Sinclair will keep rising now. Every week getting punished by not doing it.
TU: Just do it!
TD: Keep holding Roberts (please comment why he deserves to stay)
With a few ppl picking up Rozee over the last few weeks hoping he might get DPP, me included. Does anyone have any update on his MID/DEF minutes? Much more time over the weekend in the guts thanks JHF. Has he done enough to get dpp yet or could this last week coming up make or break it? dare say he plays mid again this coming week
Assuming I hold Horne Francis which trade should I do?
T/U C Cleary and E Tsatas/C Hall to Bolton and Simpson
T/D L Ashcroft and E Tsatas/C Hall to Premo under 590k and Simpson
Keep in mind I already have 6 forward premos (Smith, Rankine, JHF, Warner, Macrae, Maric) but Bolton could be a M9 or F8 or he or maric could later be upgraded to a midfield uber premo.
Horne-France is out for 3 games (4 weeks) .. if your playing for rank 2 games or more is generally a trade .. lot of $$ sitting on the bench for 4 weeks with no points.
With no urgent upgrades, is it worth using funds to go Leake -> Coleman? Get rid of a dead rookie for a player who could average ~80 and go up in price. Leaves me with 20 trades and Reid/Coleman/Lindsay as my only on-field “rookies” to upgrade.
TU – do it, Leake is dead and Coleman could be a good bridge to post-bye full premo
TD – wait a week, Coleman won’t go up in price yet so may as well get one more look at him
Hewett and kako gotta go, desperate for some cash. Simpson is the obvious downgrade, is it worth going day-wicks as well purely to have some cash for future upgrades (also have clearly on the bench)
Any love for Bews as d7 and making cash via Roberts ??? Bews has nice R16 bye and cash to make. Can do via Callaghan/Holmes, and still do Kako/Simpson for more cash. Plan then to get a Doggie or three after R12
JHF out for 4 weeks so who is the replacement
Looking at T/U Rankine, T/D Petracca, pickings are a bit slim for the forward line at the moment, both have a high BE and will probably lose dollars this week.
A hamstring is more definitive in terms of recovery so I’m trading JHF. The others I’m planning to wait a week, pending any updates this week of course that rule them out long term. Yep I have all 3 too
It’s only Monday night and this might be controversial, but I think I’m going to hold both JHF and Macrae.
It will hurt this week, but after that it’s best 18 for the next month and much easier to hide injured players on the bench, especially round 13 with only two teams on the bye. I’m also predicting that Boxshall will come in for however long Macrae is out, so there’s cover there.
If you’re in the running for overall then this is not a good strategy! But anyone playing for leagues only, I think this has merit.
I think we wait to see with Macrae but JHF has to go. 4 weeks of not getting that score is unhelpful and with the 22 his price will drop anyway so can potentially grab him as an M9/F7 in 6 weeks. Best 18 lets us cover the bye players being out but with rookies being incredibly inconsistent and other players missing because of their own byes, it gets really hard to hold an injured player on top of that
Was thinking I could hold JHF and Macrae, only because there are very few other options ( I did just trade Daniel out last week). So a trade out now, will most likely mean another trade back in. I could maybe hold for 3 weeks if 1 week was a bye, but 4 is starting to hurt.
Callaghan will go. He isn’t a keeper, although I just got him a few weeks ago when Oliver was out. Plenty of good options to go to.
My thoughts are hold JHF and Macrae. But to trade two rookies (Hewitt and Cleary) to Simpson and Bolton. This should give me some coverage and allow to hold them. Plus will generate some nice cash.
Yeah that’s fair enough. In that case I think Callaghan definitely has to go, given his mid-only status and that he’s the least likely to be a top player on his line. Then you can decide what to do with JHF and Macrae after that – and there is no “correct” answer, it all depends on your situation with trades remaining and rank.
i don’t mind the big Dog Bont. He was in my preaseson team, was willing to pay $680k for him back then, why not now.
Moore is super cheap, for a reason. I actually thought he would get a bump with Nash and Mackensie out with more midfield time, it only happened for half a game and that was it.
Serong hasn’t been going aweful, has been managing 100 most weeks (2 worst scores are 99 and 80). At his price of $529k, even if he averges 106.2 for the rest of the year, that isn’t horrible at all. has the potential to be a top 8 midfield.
Bolton at his price is attractive. Spike scores are what we are looking for over the bye rounds. he has a nice bye round, so good coverage. Very low BE, so he might even be a nice step to Bont/Butter in 5 weeks.
Yep, but I imagine GD has already considered this. I just think Bont is one of those rare beasts where the break-even doesn’t really matter all that much.
Lisa…Very Good Call…Do not get players with Massive BE…wait a week or two then pounce.
This week Bolton at $430 and a BE of minus 8 is a steal unless he pops off to visit The Twilight Zone which he does now & then..5 points in Round 8.
DPP & Good Bye…C’Mon Shai… surely this is a no brainer…!!!
Don’t do Moore I brought him earlier this season and had to trade out after the sub game. His role just isn’t there so far this year. Would not be surprised if he is carrying an injury too as he had an ankle assessment during a game and then the week after had the early sub.
Big conundrum. I need a ruck, there’s no way around it with Flynn’s days numbered. JHF is out.
I settle the ruck now with Jackson and bank 149.4k – Shrek risk/poverty risk.
Or, I take Bolton, bank an extra 100k and pray Gawn drops at some point/keep an eye on Jackson – spud risk/trades remaining risk/premo ruck purgatory risk.
Two options; aiming specifically to get rookies off field preferably:
TU: Bice, Stone -> Sims, Rowell ($3k left)
TD: Bice, Stone -> Simpson, Coleman ($194k left)
Second option leaves me with the money to go for Butters/Bont after their byes while the first option helps me now but Rowell is a substantial risk given his up and down form. Both options take one rookie off field but first replaces with Rowell while second with Coleman
Going hard on trades this week
JHF, McCrae, Kako > Warner, Sinclair and Simpson
I don’t have reliable rookies on the bench to cover the shortfall, planning for the byes as well.
Im going to hold JHF and Macrae.
TU: Lash Lindsay > Simpson Green (2 Trades)
TD: Hayes > Simpson (1 trade and therefore hold Lash, Lindsay for the byes for greater cover
I’m wrestling with that too, although I have less trades than you. Sick of Boyd not playing, although of course you know the week after that trade is done Boyd will get picked!
I don’t know that I’d be trading Daniel this week with all the other carnage going on and now that he’s coming off a 97, I’d hold. He’s had one game below 81 which is solid consistency for points. Maybe he’s not a keeper but there’s bigger problems for now and rookies to get off field
Hi all keen on any thoughts here
Keen to be aggressive as need to win a few league matchups and have 24 Trades before this week and 2 Boosts.
JHF MaCrae Cleary > Whitfield Naicos Simpson
Don’t really want to go early on Naicos but bringing in 2 Topliners at least given trading out other 2 premos.
TU Yes Good Trades do it
TD No bad idea and trades
Wait for Daicos, I would guess. Huge break even and will be far cheaper in a couple of weeks time
If you’re looking for a premo midfielder this week there are better options elsewhere, otherwise save the boost
Horne Francis and kako-> Dawson and Simpson
Doing this I hold Macrae and have to field 4 rookies in the forward line but have a full midfield. Am I better off trading in a Chad Warner to have better forward depth or is this fine for one round before byes.
TU: hewett and trainor > bolton and simpson +159kITB
TD: hewett and trainor > whitfield and simpson + 5kITB
plan on getting rid of either JHF or macrae next week with the extra trade, can also get coleman instead of simpson for TU
Martin i think can be a keeper, and will be a very handy DPP swinger with Stone/paton if you have them. He also has the last round bye, handy.
Bolton is a cash generation move for two weeks. Bolton has his bye in r13, so he could easy make $70k and be $500k going into his bye and you jump on Butters/Bont coming off their bye. i like the Bolton play but only if you are downgrading a couple of rookies to get him, not a sideways move.
depends who are you replacing him with. if you are missing a Warner or Petracca etc, you can definately anti-pod Macrae. But if you have all them and you will be bringing in someone who you will just have to trade again later in year, i would hold.
If you are playing for league, you can hold Macrae almost till the last game on Sunday and trade to a Trac/Anderson/Touk type if necessary. If your match up is going well, you could hold him through his R13 bye.
If I park Macrae & JHF on my bench, and use my playing rookies, I will have 7 rookies on field this week. Not enough money to replace 2 rookies with anybody over 500K. So do I –
TU : No trades, play with the 7 rookies and pray
TD : Trade out Kako & Hewett, trade in Sims (already have Simpson) and Bolton – will then have 6 rookies on field. Not sure its worth 2 trades though?
Alternatively, may trade JHF for a premo.
I really don’t know which of these is the better trade option at this point:
JHF, Macrae and Hewett > Rankine, Jackson and Simpson
JHF, Ashcroft and Hewett > Rankine, Anderson and Simpson
JHF, Hewett and Kako > Rankine, Simpson and Day-Wicks
JHF and Hewett > Rankine and Simpson
I don’t really want to waste a trade to bring one of Macrae of JHF back in when they return, I think Ashcroft is every chance of beating his current BE (scored above 86 four times so far), Day-Wicks doesn’t seem like the best scoring rookie (but is the only other cheap rookie on the bubble), and making just the two trades seems too little with what’s happened this week.
I don’t think boosting Kako to Day wicks is the move, particularly not if you’re thinking you just need to force a trade cause there’s carnage this week so I’d go with the bottom one. Or you can go top and Macrae to Jackson if you feel like you have to do a third trade
Just to simplify this a bit, the first two trades are locked in and the options for the boost are:
Macrae to Jackson
Ashcroft to Anderson
Kako to Day-Wicks
no boost
I think you can cross off Day-Wicks straight away, his JS and scoring are both poor and this is just a cheap floating donut waiting to happen.
There’s also uncertainty with Jackson’s role – lone ruck very good, dual ruck very bad! If Darcy is named this week, I think this is a no-go also.
Ashcroft to Anderson looks solid but is by no means a must do. It depends on how the rest of your team looks as to whether you really need to make this trade this week.
So the only third option that looks decent enough is Ashcroft to Anderson. Do you personally think that’s worth a boost? I’ve still got three left to use.
This is what my midfield currently looks like:
Hewett, Merrett, Neale, Serong, Rozee, Cerra, Ashcroft and Lindsay (El-Hawli, Hustwaite, Boxshall)
Playing for leagues and don’t have the trades to be doing too many sideways so planning to hold macrae and JHF by just limping to the byes and pushing on with my upgrade strategy short term pain for long term gain (hopefully). Fielding lalor and simpson/hall until they return.
Keidean Coleman apparently pulled up a bit sore from his first game back. To be monitored if you were planning on bringing him in this weekend, possible sub or management risk
Trying to spread the Bye impact, very light on both round 13 and 14 premo wise. Was thinking Nandos was an easy in but 4 weeks of potential tags and career low averages is deterring me.
T/U Serong
T/D Clark
also wondering if Simpson at half back will have any effect on Clark scoring
Planning on holding JHF + Macrae, but want to compensate for that by being aggressive with continuing to upgrade rookies and not be stuck in 6/7 rookies on field the next couple weeks.
Hewett, Tsatas, Lindsay -> Simpson, Boxshall (assuming he’s named, could reverse), Anderson
Anderson could be Dawson or another similar priced premo. Only worry about Anderson is the tag risk over the next few weeks? Or is that not a concern?
Im currently ranked 6500. With 100% of the top 1% owning Macrae, I’m starting to fall in love with the idea of trading out JHF and Macrae.
TU – Macrae and JHF -> Green and Bolton
TD – JHF and E. Hewett -> Green and Sims
21 trades and 3 boosts left and a few non-cash generating rookies to get rid of:
T/U – L Ashcroft and Tsatas out for Bolton and Simpson
T/D – Trainor, L Ashcroft and Tsatas out for Simpson, Boxshall (if named) and Jackson which leaves me with one boost. I can move the magnets around via DPP to get this to work.
You need to cashout an Uber and a skeleton to get 2 reliable 90 – 100pts. Bolton is 1 if you still have a boost maybe also swap another skeleton for coop.
Or you could burn JHF, chunky thighs with fragile hammys not a quick return and macrae plus a skeleton
Trade a dead rookie (C Hall or Hustwaite) to Boxshall for cash generation with Simpson already traded in, 25 trades left. Hoping he keeps his spot and doesn’t start as sub.
N Daicos looking like a good trade down after his bye
Would trade him in for JHF this week but still has money to loose thoughts on best JHF trade
Tu Simpson
Td midfielder roughly the same price
How long will he be sidelined?
Apparently only a couple of weeks. With the bye in round 12, there’s every chance that the only game he actually misses is next week. Maybe he misses round 13 as well but only Freo and St Kilda are on bye then so should be able to cover that one easily enough too
Money for Bont
Visentini a must have?
Not a must have but I think he could be a good in
Worth upping a Boyd type at R3 to Vis to help cover byes?
Bigger priority trade out
Tu: Trainor
Td: Cleary
What is everyone doing with JHF and Callaghan if they only miss 2 or 3 games?
TU: trade
TD: hold
Is callahan out ?
Dislocated shoulder , no surgery required
Reckon he’ll play next week ?
I doubt it, probably out for 2/3 weeks
i would hold JHF. who else do you go to (assuming you have petracca, warner, rankine, macrea, smith). he has the round 12 bye anyway. unless me get a good DPP next week
callaghan is a trade out. he is going well, but there are better options.
Trade JHF or keep?
Thinking
Out stone and Bice
In Whitfield and C. Simpson?
A lot of premo got very high BE so plan to lose money which ever way you go, that’s if you have premos in your side
Tu: Warner
Td: Heeney
Mills and Gulden will come back and heeney goes forward
Upgrade Levi Ashcroft to a mid premo?
Tu or Td
Probably just Hewett to Simpson this week, barring injury news. Feel like there’s a lot of huge price fluctuations with premos right now and a few look ripe for picking in a few weeks. With only 3 rookies left on field and 22 trades left, I’m in no rush, will bide my time until the prices are right.
agree. that is the best play leading into the byes, unless there are injured. trade in premiums after their byes
McKercher an option?
In: Z.Merrett, A.Day-Wicks
Out: J.Horne-Francis, I.Kako
T/U or T/D?
Day-Wicks’ candle has finally burned out; looks like last week was his last match for a while.
Always worry that Bolton will put in a shocker after a good game
Hey Tank im not sure about this as im not sure on dawson, i will put another face reveal out for you guys
hey tank im not sure on the dawson as you have picked him im doing another face reveal tonight
and why you not coming in the last couple days
Moving on one of these to upgrade to a premium
Which one should go first
T/U – L. Ashcroft
T/D – R. Bice
Hewett to Simpson is the first trade
TU: Cleary to Visentini
TD: Ashcroft to Heeney
Comment: use last boost and do both
Tu: both is good
Locked in, am currently ranked top 200 so am being aggressive in trading JHF
OUT – JHF, Langford, Hewett
IN – S. Bolton, C. Simpson, ?
Have 625k ITB for last trade
TU – Visentini
TD – Any premo under 625k
Cheers legends
Hey, Marcus.
Love that for you.
The normative move will be to hold JHF but if you’re flush with trades and highly ranked, I reckon go for it.
Good luck.
I second GD. Unless you’re also holding TDK, it’s byes and best 18 soon. I would hold JHF
i would try and hold JHF. who will replace him in top 6 forwards? Bolton?
maybe just the hewitt and Langford to Bolton and Visentini and hold JHF
Lindsay Cleary Lash > Coleman Simpson Tom Green
TU Good Trades
TD Bad Trades
dont trade lash, he is getting 100 pluses, he is not a priority trade
Levi Ashcroft
Hold
Yeah, there’s just no urgency to bring in Coleman. I’d wait a week, save the boost and hold Ashcroft for a week
Which is the better option?
T/u – Trade Kako out but can only afford a 520k player (probably Heeney)
T/d – Trade Lindsay out early so I can get up to a 580k player (Dunkley, Green, Anderson, Sinclair type)
Looking forward to latest DPP possibilities, Simpson & Binns in particular. Both played defence from memory. If they got DPP would be a welcome addition to my many non-DPP bench players.
not sure they have played enough games
I think the minimum is three games? please correct me if I’ve got that wrong
otherwise Simpson and Binns will scrape in assuming they are named to play this week. Simpson would be a lock for D/F if so, not quite as sure about Binns
whos the better opition
Dale plays basically the rest of the szn at MARV
Whitfield,
Clark
other than that which other premos are in your sights
Both Whit and Clark have r16 bye. I’m looking at Dale or Libba after their r12 bye.
No they don’t Clark is 13 bye.
if you have to pick this week, it would be Clark for his good bye. Dale has a r12 bye
do you have Rozee? will get DPP next week. id go him ahead of dale in round 13
More than likely going Bice to Kiddy, looked pretty good first game back and will make cash plus be safe on field.
Then upgrading Hewett, but who to? Libba is my first choice but I have too many with the first bye. My choices ATM are:
T/U: Sinclair
T/D: Rowell + 100k
who is Kiddy?
Keidean Coleman?
Keidean Coleman, was in my team all preseason until he got injured. Think he averages 85+ from here on our with the ceiling for more.
just reminded myself Coleman is only $269k. i’d prefer to have one more week to look at him
Out – Bice and Trainor
T/U, In – Clark and Simpson + 104k
T/D, In – Whitfield and Simpson + 41k
What do we think about Bolton. 450k can go big, can also go missing case in point two weeks ago. Could make sone cash over the byes.. Maybe a good M9 or F7?
TU: worth the trade
TD: stay away
Addressing the dead rookies in my lineup this week over replacing the likes of TDK, JHF & Callaghan, especially if they miss only a few weeks.
T/U: Bice, Berry & Tsatas > Binns, Simpson & Coleman
T/D: Trade out two of the premos like for like
Shai Bolton is priced at 429.7k with a BE of -24.
Worth a roll of the dice for me this week.
if you can get him as an upgrade (2 rookies) he is worth considering, one less rookie on field
If you were looking for a JHF replacement, i’d hold
Cleary > Simpson
Lashcroft > J Clark
same for me this week, Hewitt instead of Cleary though.
Anyone have any update on Washcroft potential fwd dpp?
The team has completely plateaued. It feels like every week I’m failing the rookie roulette and fielding a 50. My strategy is therefore to get these rookies off field. I can’t upgrade this week I already have Simpson.
I’m currently thinking Cleary and E. Hewett for Phillipou and Coleman. I know Pou scored badly this week but surely that’s a blip considering saints played badly and he stuffed his finger resulting in time on the bench.
This ultimately leaves me with Lindsay, Reid and Levi being my remaining pure rookies on field with 19 trades left.
TU – go for it!
TD – you’re crazy
Not worth bringing in coleman this week, he wont go up in price and he might get injured or score poorely, not worth the risk
I would definitely wait on Phillipou now. He did get mid time this week though. Worst case scenario is he gets a ton and he goes up 25k
Are DPP updates the beginning of next round or after?
TU:Bring in bont this week,
TD: bring shai this week
comment any other pemo’s
Thoughts on this? Gets 2 rookies off field…
JHF > Libba (via Trac DPP)
Hustwaite > Heeney
Hewett > Sheldrick
TU: Worht it
TD: Don’t trade JHF
I’d try to find a better downgrade option than Sheldrick. He’s just not reliable this year and can’t be sure that he’ll get enough proper games to make the cash at such an elevated price point already
Is jaxon Binns a good option?? Am seeing nothing at all about him. Poor js the issue?
Plays the same position as Docherty who had another billion possessions in the twos last weekend. And Carlton lost, which makes changes more likely. Has the lousy Rd 12 bye also.
I like Binns, he has worked really hard for this opportunity. But at this price, that’s a lot of risk to be taking on. See if he’s named this week and you’re not overloaded on the Rd 12 bye.
Cleary Lindsay Archer Reid > Simpson Sims Serong
TU: Good Trades
TD: Bad Trades
Any timelines on JHF?
4 weeks according to Port Adelaide injury update.
Who goes for Simpson?
TU: C Cleary
TD: E Hewett
Do I keep holding off doing Roberts > Sinclair, or just bite the bullet? Roberts keeps dropping and Sinclair will keep rising now. Every week getting punished by not doing it.
TU: Just do it!
TD: Keep holding Roberts (please comment why he deserves to stay)
With a few ppl picking up Rozee over the last few weeks hoping he might get DPP, me included. Does anyone have any update on his MID/DEF minutes? Much more time over the weekend in the guts thanks JHF. Has he done enough to get dpp yet or could this last week coming up make or break it? dare say he plays mid again this coming week
pretty sure he is locked in for DPP
Yep Herald Sun today says he’s locked
Should get the DPP been playing off half-back almost all of the time since round 5
Who scores more by end of season:
TU: J Clark
TD: L Jackson
ONLY BRING IN JACKSON if sean darcy is injured
Word
With no urgent upgrades, is it worth using funds to go Leake -> Coleman? Get rid of a dead rookie for a player who could average ~80 and go up in price. Leaves me with 20 trades and Reid/Coleman/Lindsay as my only on-field “rookies” to upgrade.
TU – do it, Leake is dead and Coleman could be a good bridge to post-bye full premo
TD – wait a week, Coleman won’t go up in price yet so may as well get one more look at him
Would normally vote up to this
But Callaghan will probably be out of the GWS midfield this week, and McMullin also probably out with a groin strain
And Leake had 39 possessions & 6 tackles in the two’s on the weekend
Not sure if Coniglio gets up this week, but Kelly & Daniels still out for a few more weeks – so Leake may get another run this week
Great points. Also worth noting that Angove’s JS may benefit from these injuries in the short term.
Mid/fwd @ $113k on the bubble could be useful coming into byes, particularly when his own bye isnt until rd 16.
Obviously would need to wait on teams announcements but food for thought.
Out – Dudley and trainor
In – simpson and Coleman
T.u yes good moves
T d no look elsewhere
Who will be grabbing butters after his bye?
Depends how he goes this week
Cleary – Simpson
Ashcroft – Green
JHF 4 weeks, that’s a trade out
TU: Dale
TD: bont
i dont really care about their bye next week, im all good for it and i will be getting the other one after their bye
Any idea if TDK back this week?
TU trainor + davidson > bews + simpson (save money)
TD do one trade and use other to get premo
Not sure Bews has great job security
OUT: Hewett and JHF
IN: Simpson and….
TU: Rankine
TD: Jackson
what to do no clue atm, teams looking like this
Shezzel,zorko,sinclair,roberts,reid,trainor (FOS, Carrol)
brayshaw, nacios, rozee, cerra, c.daniel,L. Ashcroft, Lindsay, Morales (Saad, hustwaite and Morales
Xerri,Gawn (Boyd)
Smith,petrecca,rankine,warner,mcare, JHF (clealy, hamling)
flex Marshall
with 77k itb and 20 trades pretty stuck atm lmk any ideas
Cleary > Simpson
Roberts > Whitfield
Although JHF could be more of a priority trade and see what happens with McRae.
JHF and Clearly to a mid and Simpson. Flick Daniel fwd.
Dunks, Libba and Dawson a shout. Or go Jackson for quad ruck madness if you don’t fear the Shrek.

T/u Yes
T/d No
Can understand the t/u response….meant to say this move also includes getting Dunkley.
T/d response !!!
JHF out for 4 weeks so who is the replacement
Looking at T/U Rankine, T/D Petracca, pickings are a bit slim for the forward line at the moment, both have a high BE and will probably lose dollars this week.
Out
E.Hewett Langford Trainor
In
Simpson N.Anderson sheldrick
Leave me $107k and helps my by structure even up
Woah JHF out for 4 weeks meaning he will miss 3 games. Very tough decision on our hands!
Are we trading or holding?
TU – Trade
TD – Hold
As someone that owns JHF Macrae and Callahand what would you do
Thinking about holding macrae and trading the other 2
A hamstring is more definitive in terms of recovery so I’m trading JHF. The others I’m planning to wait a week, pending any updates this week of course that rule them out long term. Yep I have all 3 too
AFL website says Callaghan out 4-6 so looks like plans change!
Best 18 lets us cover the bye players being out but with rookies being incredibly inconsistent and other players missing because of their own byes, it gets really hard to hold an injured player on top of that
Yeah I think you’ve nailed that Chillo!
Completely different strategies from this point on for coaches playing for overall and league.
Not sure how long Macrae out for, but with JHF out for 4 he’s a trade for those overall players and most likely a hold for league players.
The problem with that for me Chillo is that I also own Callaghan.
Can’t carry three of them.
I’ve got JHF, Callaghan and Macrae as well.
Callaghan to either Green or Clark
Yeah that’s fair enough. In that case I think Callaghan definitely has to go, given his mid-only status and that he’s the least likely to be a top player on his line. Then you can decide what to do with JHF and Macrae after that – and there is no “correct” answer, it all depends on your situation with trades remaining and rank.
Every time I go to trade out Bice and get Whitfield an injury ruins it for me.
Looks like Macrae and JHF will have to go. Who are we looking at? I might swing Lashcroft to the forward line
Macrae to Bont
JHF to Martin or Bolton?
The more I think about it I think it’s best to hold and stick with original trades
Bice to Whitfield
Leake to Simpson
Sorry Stone to Simpson
Who needs to go first
T/u Langford
T/d lindsay
TU N.Martin
TD Warner
Here’s one. I’m in all likelihood doing the first one but hey.
T.U: Serong & Bolton
T.D: Bont & D. Moore
Replacing Cally and CringeHF.
1068.9k for a MID & FWD. $500 bucks off doing Serong and Warner lmao.
i don’t mind the big Dog Bont.
I’m all for getting Bont but not with a BE of 157. Fallen premiums galore to come – Bont, Butters, Daicos, Merrett – to name but a few.
Bont will probably score 140+ this week anyway! I say if you want him, go get him asap
Or you can wait for Butters, who will bottom out during the bye rounds at around 570ish
Wouldn’t the Bont trade be dependant on Round 12 bye situation?
I’m liking Serong this week. Freo has a great bye and he’s been solid but not spectacular. However, we know he can be the latter on past history.
Holmes, Sheez, Dale, Sinc, Roberts, Zeid
Neale, Daicos, Warner, Serong, Rozee, Washcroft, Hewett, El-Hawli
Xerri, Flynn
Smith, Trac, Rankine, Macrae, JHF, Daniel
Whit.
20.8k ITB 17 trades.
TU – Jackson and pray
TD – Bolton and pray
go jackson if fremantle decides to make jackson sole ruck
I need some ideas.
DEF: Sheezel, Zorko, Holmes, Roberts, Reid, Bice (Carroll, El Hawli)
MID: Smith, Merrett, Neale, Dawson, CALLAGHAN, Sinclair, Lindsay, Gross (Hall, Hustwaite, Camporeale)
RUC: Xerri, TDK (Pike)
FWD: Petracca, Rankine, Warner, MACRAE, HORNE-FRANCIS, Daniel (Cleary, Dudley)
FLEX: L Ashcroft
TU: Focus on getting the rookies out, Cleary > Simpson & Bice > Bolton
TD: Focus on replacing the carnage in CAPS
i wouldnt trade cleary out considering you have JHF and macrae, i would personally trade HF and Callaghan to try and get simpson and clark
or hold Callagan if you have someone to replace him
Callaghan has to go. he has had shoulder problems in the past, might not come back and score well.
GWS bye isn’t good for him either, he might be able to come back before r16 bye, and then he misses another game.
I’m trading him. Probably to either Green (same bye), Serong or Clark (R13 byes)
Planning to hold JHF and Macrae- will upgrade around them.
TU: Cleary > Serong
TD: Lindsay > Dunkley/Green
Who are we thinking will be best to hold?
T/U JHF
T/D Macrae
Im going to hold JHF and Macrae.
TU: Lash Lindsay > Simpson Green (2 Trades)
TD: Hayes > Simpson (1 trade and therefore hold Lash, Lindsay for the byes for greater cover
Is it worth replacing H.Boyd with T.Sims as bench ruck if I still have 24 trades?
I’m wrestling with that too, although I have less trades than you. Sick of Boyd not playing, although of course you know the week after that trade is done Boyd will get picked!
Could’ve agree more mate. I’m waiting as soon as I trade him out RoMo does a season ending injury then I’ve wasted a trade
In for Callaghan
TU Dawson
TD Anderson
who is the best premium mid or fwd to get now
Who to trade in for Horne Francis.
TU- Warner
TD- Anderson
Comment any other fwd or mid options below 610k
JHF OUT
Heeney IN?
McRae and Daniel out
Libba and Dawson in
76k itb
I don’t know that I’d be trading Daniel this week with all the other carnage going on and now that he’s coming off a 97, I’d hold. He’s had one game below 81 which is solid consistency for points. Maybe he’s not a keeper but there’s bigger problems for now and rookies to get off field
Fair call. Might go Bolton and Dawson 74k itb. Cheers mate.
Macrae > Libba
JFH > Anderson
Hewett > Bolton
Aggressive trades but leaves 85k itb for next week
TU – good trades
TD – rethink it
So is the general consensus that Anderson is a better MID pick than Dawson, Warner or Heeney?
TU: Anderson
TD: Other
Currently on Dawson due to fixture run and works a bit better for my bye scheduling, but happy to be convinced otherwise.
I voted Anderson but stick with what works better for your byes
Dawsons run home is amazing and faces far fewer tag risk games.
Anderson still has to run into potentially Windhager, Mullin & Bedford TWICE. Just to name a few.
People really need to look at the fixtures when making their final upgrades.
Dawson for me personally, especially if he suits your bye structure.
Tu: Macrae to N Anderson
Td: Levi to N Anderson, hold Macrae and field one of Hewett or Cleary insteas
TU: Holding Macrae
JHF -> Warner
Langford -> S. Bolton
Hewett -> C. Simpson
TD: Trading Macrae
JHF -> Warner
Macrae -> Anderson
Hewett -> C. Simpson
Alternatively
Tu: Macrae to Anderson / Dunkley
Td: Hewett to Bolton as M9, move Macrae to Bench
Third trade is JHF to one of Anderson or Dunkley
I’d trade JHF over Macrae
Thats what ill be doing. JHF out is locked. Second is whether to bring in Bolton as an M9 / F7 or trade macrae.
If im bringing Bolton ill hold Macrae
Ahh sorry, I thought it was a tu/td/comment situation
TU: Heeney
TD: T. Green
Keen on Jordan Dawson this week, has an amazing run home. Who goes out for him?
Tu: Macrae
Td: Levi Ashcroft
(Will leave me with one less warm body heading into the byes)
I currently have Maric in my midfield meaning I can swing him forward and pick up a premo mid for Macrae. Tossing up:
TU: Brayshaw with <5k leftover
TD: Cheaper mid (Anderson, Dawson, Serong, etc) and bank ~100k for next week
Either trade will leave me with 3 midfield slots left to upgrade, meaning if I take option two I’ll have to bypass one of Bont/Butters/Merret later on
The extra 100k in option two would mean I’m able to get a dead rookie up to Kiddy Coleman instead of having to trade out a Hewett/Cleary type
Hi all keen on any thoughts here
Keen to be aggressive as need to win a few league matchups and have 24 Trades before this week and 2 Boosts.
JHF MaCrae Cleary > Whitfield Naicos Simpson
Don’t really want to go early on Naicos but bringing in 2 Topliners at least given trading out other 2 premos.
TU Yes Good Trades do it
TD No bad idea and trades
Why are people saying bar trades?
Wait for Daicos, I would guess. Huge break even and will be far cheaper in a couple of weeks time
If you’re looking for a premo midfielder this week there are better options elsewhere, otherwise save the boost
Who would people suggest? Can afford $575k. Current premos in midfield are Brayshaw, Neale Dawson
Depends on your bye structure but suggest looking at Liberatore, Dunkley, Anderson and Green as potentially underpriced
Daicos will be a mid priced midfielder after the bye.
TU: JHF, Clearly -> Whitfield, Simpson
TD: JHF, Lindsay -> Bont, Simpson
Comment: Rethink my trades!
Hewitt Bice to Clark Simpson
TU good trades
TD Rethink
Currently have room in my flex..
Tu; Visentini
Td; Look elsewhere
Tu Touk
Td Anderson
Comment Rowell and save $80k but lose sleep.
any concerns with Simpson with NOD set to return soon.?
Different positions, Erasmus in more danger
Horne Francis and kako-> Dawson and Simpson
Doing this I hold Macrae and have to field 4 rookies in the forward line but have a full midfield. Am I better off trading in a Chad Warner to have better forward depth or is this fine for one round before byes.
Mausboys
JHF and Hewett
To
Gawn and Simpson
Good trades or not.
This isn’t the main chat
Yeah, I’d look at a forward to dodge that

1 Boost left after the above, holding Marcae through byes till he returns.
Will have 16 trades and 1 boost left with the following trades:
TU: JHF, Macrae, Hustwaite -> Anderson, Bolton, Simpson
TD: Need to save trades and boost for later on
Libba, Serong or Anderson?
Which one do I bring in
T.u – Bolton
T.d – dawson
Want to bring in a keeper mid with week who averages more from now
TU Nick Daicos
TD Noah Anderson
Daicos will most likely be cheaper is a few weeks his BE is high so will loose cash, that’s if you can wait
Went early on Simpson last week and only have 3k in the bank.
Trading Macrae, should I:
T/u – Downgrade Kako to Mims so I can afford a Sinclair, Green or Whitfield
T/d – Not worth the downgrade, grab a Heeney, Matt Kennedy, Maric or Bolton in one trade
Port Adelaide star Jason Horne-Francis says he could only miss the one game with his hamstring injury.
The former No. 1 draft pick suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Power’s heavy loss to Geelong on Saturday.
While he has been listed as four weeks on the Power’s injury report, Horne-Francis could just miss the one game against Fremantle this week.
The Power have its bye after this week and Horne-Francis was actually doing some light running at training on Wednesday.
It has raised hope he could be back for the clash against GWS in just over two weeks time.
“It’s better than first thought,” he said on Triple M on Wednesday.
“I’ve got a lot of strength in it… and moving around very well.
Great intel, have been wrestling with trading him or not like most people but that makes the decision easy now!
Now im confused
TU: Trade JHF
TD: Trade Macrae
Until he comes back too early and this time does it worse. Same thing happened with Rozee when they brought him back too early.
This is also his first time doing a hammy so he doesn’t really know himself how well it actually is.
After this week’s trades, how many trades do we all have?
TU: 18+
TD: 17 or less
TU: hewett and trainor > bolton and simpson +159kITB
TD: hewett and trainor > whitfield and simpson + 5kITB
plan on getting rid of either JHF or macrae next week with the extra trade, can also get coleman instead of simpson for TU
Are T. Adams or N.Odriscoll worth considering at all
Adams is an injury waiting to happen
NOD is awkward price. could make another $90k but you spend another trade to get rid of him
Macrae replacement:
TU – Bolton + 100k for Merrett next week
TD – Nic Martin
Martin i think can be a keeper, and will be a very handy DPP swinger with Stone/paton if you have them. He also has the last round bye, handy.
Bolton is a cash generation move for two weeks. Bolton has his bye in r13, so he could easy make $70k and be $500k going into his bye and you jump on Butters/Bont coming off their bye. i like the Bolton play but only if you are downgrading a couple of rookies to get him, not a sideways move.
Who should I trade out first?
T/U: Bice (Upgrade to Premo)
T/D: Macrae
Thoughts/comments appreciated.
Cheers
Tu Sinclair
Td Jordan Clark
Hold or trade macrae
TU:hold
TD: trade
I have someone to replace and he will only be 3 weeks, one is his bye
depends who are you replacing him with. if you are missing a Warner or Petracca etc, you can definately anti-pod Macrae.
Callaghan to Merrett?
TU/TD
Hi all
TU Dawson
TD Libba
Thanks
If I park Macrae & JHF on my bench, and use my playing rookies, I will have 7 rookies on field this week. Not enough money to replace 2 rookies with anybody over 500K. So do I –
TU : No trades, play with the 7 rookies and pray
TD : Trade out Kako & Hewett, trade in Sims (already have Simpson) and Bolton – will then have 6 rookies on field. Not sure its worth 2 trades though?
Alternatively, may trade JHF for a premo.
Went TDK, Bice, & Kako to Marshall, Sinclair, & El-Hawli last week
Def – Sheezel, Sinclair, Dale, Holmes. Roberts, Reid (J.Short, Trainor)
Mid – Neale, Trac, Warner, Rozee, W.Ashcroft, L Ashcroft, Lindsey, El-Hawli (Knevitt, C.Hall, Huswaite)

Flex – Flynn
$43,400 ITB, 27 trades left, 3 boosts
I’m a little stuck on what to do this week, especially with all the carnage.
But I’m considering going Short & Hewett to Simpson & Bolton. ($200,900 ITB)
Although any help/advice/feedback would be appreciated
* actually have 2 boosts
Not having a great season after starting well – every 50/50 has gone wrong. This is probably a bit of a hail mary now.
Carrying a few dead rookies so hanging on to Macrae means fielding someone like Kako. Feels too sideways but it does rejig the team a bit.
Would leave 5 rookies on the field (ashcroft, spp, reid, prior, lindsay)
This will leave 22 trades and 3 boosts before this move.
IN: L.Jackson (fwd but can swing in for injuries), J.Sinclair (took NWM last week instead) and Simpson
OUT: Macrae, Callaghan, C.Hall
TU: YES
TD: NO
Alternatively:
Instead of Jackson and Sinclair it’s Bont and Shai Bolton.
Noah Anderson T/U
Tom Libba T/D
If bringing in this week
TU Dunkley
TD Whitfield
TU Dunkley
TD Serong
Callaghan, Cleary, Hewitt > Green, Martin, Simpson.
Playing for leagues and don’t have the trades to be doing too many sideways so planning to hold macrae and JHF by just limping to the byes and pushing on with my upgrade strategy short term pain for long term gain (hopefully). Fielding lalor and simpson/hall until they return.

Trying to spread the Bye impact, very light on both round 13 and 14 premo wise. Was thinking Nandos was an easy in but 4 weeks of potential tags and career low averages is deterring me.

also wondering if Simpson at half back will have any effect on Clark scoring
Planning on holding JHF + Macrae, but want to compensate for that by being aggressive with continuing to upgrade rookies and not be stuck in 6/7 rookies on field the next couple weeks.
Hewett, Tsatas, Lindsay -> Simpson, Boxshall (assuming he’s named, could reverse), Anderson
Anderson could be Dawson or another similar priced premo. Only worry about Anderson is the tag risk over the next few weeks? Or is that not a concern?

You need to cashout an Uber and a skeleton to get 2 reliable 90 – 100pts. Bolton is 1 if you still have a boost maybe also swap another skeleton for coop.
Or you could burn JHF, chunky thighs with fragile hammys not a quick return and macrae plus a skeleton
