  2. I am kinda stuffed this week, so wanted some thoughts. Since Serong and Butters both have really high breakevens, was thinking of waiting a week before bringing in one of them. Instead I want to bring in a forward, probably going either Jackson or Moore.

    TU – D Moore
    TD – Jackson

      • I still need to fill in 2 more fwd premo spots, I currently have Heeney, Flanders, Zorko and Fisher. Is Dylan Moore going to be a top 6? Who are the other options.

        • Jackson & Rankine – I’d suggest picking up Rankine post bye, but even still having Jackson in the team could be beneficial if you need ruck coverage.

  3. Worth going Salem to Fisher? Would have to do some DPP mix and matching to maximise points but this would leave me with Sexton at D6 and Fyfe at F6 for the time being.

    • Very indulgent trade, habib.

Not sure it’s necessary unless you’re absolutely cruising and full premium?

Young and Whitfield not shoe ins to cover Martin either. If it were Ryan, sure.

      • Just 1 more premo to go, in my fwd line (assuming Sexton is a keeper – but that could change). 10 trades left.

Just frustrated with Green’s output all year and Serong is the cheapest he’s been all year. Would love him in my side but get a sideways with Green bottoming out might be unnecessary. I can straight swap them cause I’ve got money in the bank from some rookie downgrades last week.

  6. Comben > Ryan, 187K ITB, completes my DEF.

Thought about Clark but the extra 86K for peace of mind is a price I’m willing to pay.

Next targets next week: Gawn, Curnow. This will complete the team – and will get me down to 6 or 5 trades to ride the season out.

  7. Trying to get a couple of upgrades. Any advice appreciated.

    Current team:
Ryan Naicos sheez houson wang-mil stewart Draper schoenmaker
Bont Neale zerret, butters ldu miller green walsh sullivan reville jclark
    Xerri Tingles Livingstone
Heeney Zork Fyfe RGarcia freijah Odempsey McMullin wdawson
    12500 itb 13 trades

    Thinking
TU Stewart Dempsey Fyfe to DMoore Fisher Dowling though both Moore and Dowling have byes to come
TD Stewart Dempsey to Fisher and Dowling and wait for Fyfe trade till after moore has had his bye.
Then look at how i can get serong in over next 2 weeks.
    Comment on other option.

  8. Hey guys,
I have had Stewart since day one. And he has obviously been average. so do i finally just bite the bullet and trade him after already losing a heap of cash or continue to keep him hoping he comes good and handles a tag.
    Trade him
    or
    hold him
    Cheers

  12. TU : Gulden (cheaper, higher ceiling, but lot of mouths to feed in Sydney midfield)

TD: Dunkley (more consistent, bigger POD, good scoring economy in Lions midfield)

What’s getting in my head is that Whitfield got tagged in the Sydney game and had those two big knocks against Geelong.

  16. I’m thinking the top 6 fwd line will be Heeney, Flanders, Zorko, Fischer, Jackson, with Moore, Rankine,or Maybe one other to take out the top 6-7, I am still yet to get Heeney,Zorko,( High Be’s) Fisher or Moore I have 11 trades with 100k in the bank, should I get Heeney or Zorko with the high BE or l can get Fischer or Moore with the lower BE’s. Still have about 5 rookies for fattening, 1 up and one downs mightn’t cut it

  17. Have the Tom Stewart issue but unfortunately no cash and the cow options are limited so do I:

TU: Hold and wait for cows to ripen a bit more
TD: Trade Bruce Reville out early to afford Houston as the upgrade

  18. OK, rarely if ever ask, but just to check, what does everyone think of these as trade options (I’m guessing TU will be the go):

TU – HReid, Powell & Moyle to Fisher, Butters & Kreuger
    TD – consider something else.

Butters finishes mids (other options are Neale, Gulden or Suns mids) – assuming Butters best of these options?
Fisher finishes Fwds – is he still considered top 6 (I have Jackson as F5/6)
    Def finished
Possibly only target Gawn in the ruck to come.

    Thanks all!

  19. Hi everyone – Not considering byes or price (just scoring) is Ryan a better option than midfielders such as Neale, Merrett, Walsh or Warner?

    • Not so sure. Kreuger likely to be a one week on field player, and even then, best 18 ?? That will depend on rest of team. I dont think a trade at this time of year justifies it, unless you need a hail Mary.

  20. I am in a cash league, and each match has a cash bonus attached to it, and am going up against a good mate this week – need bragging rights over him. On paper and full strength, I probably have the better side – given byes, not as convinced.

D: Ryan, Daicos, Sheezel, Sexton, Comben, Dawson/Howes (Reid)
M: Bont, Butters, Serong, Dunkley, Merrett, Walsh, Miller, Green (Sullivan, Clark, Rogers)
    R: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
F: Flanders, Heeney, Zorko, Jackson, Moore, Freijah (Darcy, HGarcia)
    ITB: 187k
    Trades: 12

My first thoughts are that I need to be able to get 6 playing defenders post byes as it currently stands, I have 5. However, have a couple of weeks to correct that. I do think Sexton, in current form, is a top 6-8 forward so will swing him down there to complete the forward line.

The players that I am looking at trading are Comben (high B/E) and Darcy (suspended and high B/E on return). And with the lack of rookies, makes downgrading rather tricky – can go to a Dowling or Krueger – still weeks away from a price rise and potential other rookies that we aren’t aware of being named. I am looking at Fisher (fringe top 6-8 defender, but top 6-8 forward), NWM (fringe top 6-8 defender), Houston (should be top 6-8 defender).

So I think I am looking at:
    Out: Comben
    In: Fisher

And then next week, Darcy and the backline.

Have I missed a trick here or something really obvious that I should be looking at?

    • I think darcy to dowling is the obvious move next week, just depends if you would want to trade this week to give yourself another player this week, or next week to have another chance to look at dowling

      • I think another week at Dowling given I went early on Dawson and extremely unfortunate outcome. Do we think Sexton should be in our final side? By trading in Fisher I am inclined to say that he can’t be because he isn’t a top 6-8 defender, and with Fisher being a fringe top 6-8 defender basically means that I can’t have both.

        So have tentatively landed on:
        Out: Comben, Darcy, Howes
In: Fisher (FWD), Yeo and Coffield

Coffield is a speculative pick in hope that he will be renamed after recovering from injury. These trades will mean that I have to get a playing defender immediately following the byes, and have to upgrade Sexton and D6 to Houston and a NWM/Martin type.
