  1. TU: 1 trade – Phillipou > Warner (11 trades left with 3 spots to upgrade)

    TD: 3 trades – Phillipou > Warner, Anderson > 99k mid-season rookie, Lindsay > LDU/Holmes/other 550k premo (9 trades left with 2 spots to upgrade)

    • Can’t imagine anyone bringing in Xerri after this weeks performance. Upcoming run or not, I’d be staying away. Looks way off it. Dawson by a country mile

      • Xerri has BE of 188 for upcoming round against WC. Noting he scored 199 against them in round 2.

He seems out of sorts lately. I bought him at his high point coming into round 3, he had a mare, then suspended for 3 weeks and been average to shithouse since.

I’ll hold him for the rest of season as my flex (also running Gawn & Jackson as ruck), but bringing him in – buyer beware.

  2. Thoughts on:
AAnderson JMac Murdock > Ash Durham Miller

    TU: Good trades
TD: Hold Murdock as F6 and skip Durham

    Leaves me with $5k

  3. Is it crazy to trade out Grundy? Hear me out. Dean Cox has already hinted that Grundy may be rested again before the end of season. Cash is really drying up for my final upgrades and he still has money on his head.

    Grundy & A. Anderson > Clarry & Durham.

I will tank the R2 spot with Steene this week as I will still have enough numbers and look to grab Dogga off his bye next week for a good price.

    TU: Viable play
    TD: Look elsewhere

  5. Is it crazy to now trade out Darcy Cameron? Only way I can get Callaghan this week

    Out: Anderson, Retschko and Cameron
In: Durham, Callaghan and an MSD?

      • My issue is, I don’t think I’ll get to full premo now.

        This is my current team

DEF: Sinclair, Whitfield, Wilkie, Roberts, Clark, Hall Kahan (Perez, Derksen )

MID: Butter, Naicos, Bont, LDU, Merrett, Rowell, Walsh, Retschko (Anderson, Ison, Banfield )

        Ruck: Jackson, Gawn ( white)

FWD: Sheezel, Petracca, JHF, Rankine, Pickett, Murdoch ( A Jones, Dovaston)

        Flex: D Cameron

        12k in the bank lol

    • Is it worth burning a trade for 10 extra points?

Can you use him to upgrade a freefaller, someone like Houston, or extract the maximum dollars out of him before round fifteen after 1 and two gamers show their form this round?

  7. Is anyone considering holding Murdock as F6 all the way through and just upgrading around him?

Seems like it’ll be a luxury to get to full premo with a few trades in hand at this stage

    • Yes definitely considering the same, although have to consider a back up plan if he continues scoring like he did on the weekend. Worst case, use his cash and just tank the 23rd spot with a rookie. Hopefully someone from the MSD can average 70-80 which will be handy enough I guess.

Would rather that and hold 2-3 trades rather than go down to nothing.

      • Agreed, 22 premos + rookie in flex who could score ~70 with extra trades in hand would be the better option. Especially this year when there’s so big of a gap between the top end premos and everyone else.

Miller and Kozzy lead that pack…I have Kozzy and Bails and will grab The Horned one with his low BE of 32…and unlikely to be tagged before Butters (did Saint Phillipou really score 19…How?)
Miller has had his bye which is a big advantage…
Did you say BOLTON…the fella on a million NEVER ever again lists…I double dare you to select him.!!!
Kozzy is The Demons Match Winner. Will score bigtime but often gets opposition attention while Touk is Mr Consistent and will not get a tag nowadays but Ando, Rowell and Petracca do impact Touks scores.
      Good luck with your choice.

  10. Really need to get some high end premos in my midfield. Heeney is a must have I reckon. Thoughts on the below?

T/U out Coleman and Murdock to Heeney and Hall-Kahan
T/D out Coleman and Murdock to B. Smith or Dawson and Hall-Khan

    Cheers

    • Avoid bringing in players that still have a bye so definitely not td. I’d look at JHF over Chad for the TU too or just hold Lombard for a little longer

        • I think the breakeven is 60 which should be more manageable but I could definitely be wrong. I’m just thinking you could keep him for two weeks and then swap him to Warner after the bye, hoping that two games of 60ish scores helps the team more than one week of a sugar hit but it’s definitely fair to do the trade

  12. I can get Daicos and Jackson to finish my team in Rd 15 and 16.

Was going to get Xerri this week but now not sure. Instead of him thinking Jordan Dawson or Lachie Ash, either of which will go flex.

TU – Dawson and 22k (probably takes 5 trades to complete team and leaves me with 4 injury or luxury trades)
TD – Ash and 90k (probably takes 4 trades to complete team and leaves me with 5 injury or luxury trades)

Thinking Warner or Durham or F6.
Or have I overlooked a better option?

    TU Warner
    TD Durham

  14. Anyone considering Harry Kyle from Sydney over HHK as he’s on the bubble this week and HHK can come in next? I guess at this stage it’s unlikely to be trading any of these guys out so guaranteeing all the cash gen is less crucial

    TU: Kyle on the bubble
    TD: HHK and save $45k

    • Chad doesn’t seem to have the ceiling that Touk has, Chad has just got to 100 twice this year. i do belive he has great scoring potential against the weaker teams, and the swans finish to the season over the last 5 weeks is very good. Guelden will be back soon, so does that effect him? i would look at saving the $50k, but he could be a frustration.

  15. Grundy has been great so far but is it time to move on.. 200+ BE, risk of further load management.. am i crazy to consider trading him for jackson or xerri and banking 100k? Playing purely for OA rank I am in a good position and looking outside the box for advantages to maximise points. Xerri did just have a stinker but may go nuclear in coming weeks with a very favourable draw.

    T/U – crazy
    T/D – send it

    • I am considering the same thing, planning on utilising Steene and tanking my R2 spot this week essentially and then grabbing Jackson off his bye next week.

Essentially trading Grundy to Jackson and banking 100k. Regardless of what the TU/TD says, it’s definitely a consideration at the minimum. If the cash helps finish off your side then it could be the play. Rookies aren’t doing much for us at the minute.

  16. Ive locked in Retschko and Farrow for Hall-Kahan and Finn Callaghan

Was originally planning on bringing in Shai Bolton next week as F6/M7 but considering using third trade this week to go Lombard to Sam Durham, I know he has bye next week but I have more than enough premos available.

If I bring in Durham I have 7 trades left, 22 Premos and Murdock, Hall-Kahan or Sharp as the most reliable rookies to play as 23 man on field.

    T/U bring in Durham
T/D wait for Bolton next week (or even Kossie Pickett after his bye)

  19. Anyone else thinking the same?

Running low on trades and cash gen. Thinking I may prioritise 22 premiums this year and essentially hope I can field a rookie for a decent ‘23rd’ score, whilst holding a few trades up my sleeve.

TU: Keep the flex open for flexibility and the ability to get the best rookie on field

TD: Fill the flex with 3 rucks in and just ‘tank’ the F6 spot with a rookie

  20. Last week’s trades were
Lindsay, Flanders & Retschko > HHK, LDU & Heeney

Def – Sinclair, Holmes, Whitfield, McCarthy, Wilkie, Houston (Derksen, W.Edwards)
Mid – Heeney, Butters, Bont, LDU, Merrett, Daicos, Callaghan, W.Duursma, (S.Cumming, HHK , Burton)
    Ruc – Gawn, Jackson (McAndrew)
Fwd – Sheezel, Trac, JHF, Kozzy, Smith, Murdock (Lombard, Banfield)
    Flex – Ison
    $38,100 ITB, 13 trades left, 1 boost
I’m genuinely stumped this week, so any suggestions are appreciated.

TU: Xerri, Houston and Anderson to Holmes, Dawson and Lake ….or…( 2 short of full 23)

TD: Lombard, Anderson and Bailey Williams to Durham, JHF and Lake…(1 short of a full 23)

  22. Thinking of going hard with:

Lindsay, Pou, AAnderson, Cumming -> Callaghan, Miller, Hall-K and a 99k rookie (currently Lake)

Leaves 11 trades no boost and 4 posns to upgrade.

    TU -> Go for it
TD -> Wait for other to fatten a bit more and save the boost till there is a rookie that is a must have

    • I’d be slightly worried about Lake’s job security. Weirdly I think Podhajski is more reliable even though he’s on a bye but at this stage of the year it doesn’t matter heaps cause ideally they aren’t playing on field besides bye cover

    Use final boost and go
    out Marshall, Lombard, retschko, Murdock
In Callaghan, Ash, and 2 99k rookies

    Which do you favour?

TU – Use Boost and trade out walsh/houston/murdock/phillapou.. bring in LDU/Dawson/JHF/99k
TD – Keep boost and just trade the 3 cash cows and bring in 2 Premo and 99K
