    • I am gunna loop Fyfe, Dowling and Freijah for a few weeks and wait for next DPP adjustment. Meanwhile i will be using my trades to updgrade premos to uber premos. Hopfully the uber scores offset the F6 scores.

  1. I’m full premo with 7 trades left, is it worth luxury trading Matt Rowell?

TU – Yes, he’s on a downward spiral

T/D: save the trades for injuries and potentially an M9 like Rozee to loop between him and Steele/Dawson/Rowell or F7 like Curnow to loop between him/Sexton/Jackson

Would leave me full premo with Fyfe at m9 and sexton f7 as loops.

    TU- do it
TD- use the cash to upgrade some weaker premos such as JHF/Miller

    t / up Oliver – $458,700, scored 32, versus Bris at Gabba, Aver = 87.4, BE = 137

    t/down Fyfe – $353,000, scored 43, versus Syd @ SCG, Aver = 73.3, BE = 111

Def- Daicos, Houston, Dale, Sheezel, Young, Uwland – Brown, Warner
Mid – Bont, Neale, Merritt, Serong, Butters, Miller, Rowell, Oliver – Wilson, Rogers, Dowling
Ruck – Gawn, Grundy – Sweet
Fwd- Flinders, Reid, Sexton, Revile, Windsor, Nyuon – Richards, Kreuger

Need some help to get this side better.

  17. 8 trades remaining, one player required to get to full premo. If I move Freijah and Graham on I can afford Simpkin and Schoenmaker. If I wait it out a couple of weeks I may be able to fatten a cow or two and get to Sicily/Ridley via DPP movements of some players. Team is as follows with $6k in the bank:

B – Daicos, Ryan, Houston, Whitfield, Crisp, Fisher (Hore, Dawson)
M – Bont, Guldem, Merrett, Serong, Butters, Dunkley, Walsh, Green (Graham, Rogers, Mannagh)
    R – Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
F – Flanders, Zorko, Heeny, Moore, Jackson, Freijah (Richards, Dowling)

T/U – Grab Simpkin on spec whilst he’s cheap and then sideways trade later on if it doesn’t work out (he’ll get a price bump either way).
T/D – Left field option of Sicily (move Fisher to F and Dowling to M) and Kreuger for Jackson and Rogers, still leaves me one short of premo but with some extra cash and useful loopholes.

  18. 12 trades to go, 1 boost, 127k in the bank, here’s how I leave the byes (have been a bit slack this year)

DEF- Daicos, Ryan , Sheezel, Houston, NSM, Stewart (Pink, Schoenmaker)

MID- Bont, Neale, Merrett, Serong, Miller, Martin (ESS), T. Green, Reid (Sullivan ,Clarke, Dowling)

    RUCK- Grundy, English (Sweet)

FWD- Flanders, Heeney, Zorko, Richards, Reville, Kreuger (Maley, Hutchinson)

Being agressive and was thinking Sullivan and Sweet to K Brown from Melb and Trealor. Swinging Maley to ruck and Harley Reid up forward. Finishes off my mids and leaves me with 10 trades to target two more forwards and potentially upgrade the likes of Reid/Stewart/Miller if need be.

    T/U: Sounds good

But more seriously, rozee might not be the best pick and yeo could get injured at any time. Bont is definitely top 8. With 9 trades is there no other way than dropping th bont?

  27. Is Tom De Koning the real deal? I have been holding off on Gawn and was looking at bringing him this week.

I am really impressed by De Koning and think that he may even outscore Gawn for the rest of the year. He has a good fixture compared to Gawn and a better Midfield around him now. I think Gawn will be down on ruck influence due to Patracca being out. De Koning is also 70k cheaper at the moment.

    • It’s tricky, James. You raise all the right points.

I definitely see Gawn’s stock driven down by Petracca gone and his fixture:

Lions: midfield will shred them, Big O been good
Eagles: went to school on him last time, BJ took front position at all times, everyone worked him
      Dons: good, hammers Draper
      Freo: double ruck, dense midfield
GWS: better given Briggs low TOG
Dogs: Tingles been soft, claps him
Port: no real ruck but swarming midfield
      Suns: not good
Pies: not good, Pies super sharky

That all said, his ATG work is off tap so can go larger than he should in sub optimal fixtures. There’s also the insurance against his ownership – which is why I just swallowed my pride and grabbed him last week.

As for TDK, his fixture is absolute peaches. Gets pretty much all of the weaker ruck sides and will be brimming with confidence. I can see him doing flat triple digits in all honestly.

Don’t think he covers Gawn but if you need the cash or want a POD, I’d be going TDK second to Gawn 100%.

Sorry for waffling reply: Gawn safe and smart despite clear drawbacks, TDK lit as and #2.

  29. Looking for any recommendations for trades this week. Need to fill 2 forward spots still. Current team (Daicos still on the bench because of the bye last week):
DEF – Houston, Sheezel, Ryan, Dale, Whitfield, Pink (E Phillips, W Parker)
MID – Bont, Gulden, Merret, Serong, Walsh, Miller, Brayshaw, Green (Daicos, Dowling, K Brown)
    RUC – Gawn, English (Maley)
FWD – Flanders, Heeney, Zorko, Fisher, Reville, McNeil (Dawson, Livingstone)

6 trades left, 63.1k itb, and I need to trade pink to get Daicos back on the field. Not enough cash to get any new premos this week so thinking of downgrading rookies to save up for an upgrade next week.

My 2 cents would be best 22 provided you have trades to cover injuries.

Have noticed that the last 2 games Sinclair has played he has gone 135 and 147 approx and these are the only 2 games of the season where he was named HBF and had zero CBA’s. I’m hoping that he will maintain that seagull role down back.

Plus with Pearce now out for 3-4 weeks does this mean that Ryan will play more lockdown??

  58. Who do I upgrade to Rozee?

    TD – Sullivan
    TU – J Clark

Sullivan I’m unsure of job security with Pies mids coming back in soon, and Clark just loves an ineffective disposal & sub vest..

  59. My mids are Bont, Merrett, Butters, Dawson, Walsh, Steel, Green and Oliver.

Oliver to go and I can afford any other mid. Playing for leagues only.
TU – C. Serong (will he bounce back to his best?)
TD – E. Gulden (Can he keep his hot streak going?)

    What do you think?

  61. Need some thoughts (or thumbs!) thanks folks:

Would you trade Oliver to Gawn (via duals) if it meant holding a rookie on field in mids still?

    T/U – Yes
T/D – just do Oliver to Rozee and bank some extra cash for Gawn in a week or two

  63. Call me crazy but thinking of this
    Jackson & Oliver > Gulden & Simpkin

Jackson has been so up and down and now with Wardlaw out for 2 weeks and jy bound to make some good money too thinking it could be a good play

  64. Once again the selection Gods have not been kind to me with Salem injured and McKercher not selected.

Therefore the trades I am proposing are thus –
Out – Sexton ( his surely is on borrowed time) & Salem (who lasted a week as I thought he would get Petraccas midfield minutes)
    In – Rozee & Curnow.

Leaves me with $68.6K in the bank. and 5 trades.
Currently ranked 992 and shooting to get as high as possible to qualify for a LOEC league next year.

  66. G’day SC legends

My choice this week comes down to:

t/up Keep Oliver & get Caldwell – so Oliver (MIDS) & Caldwell (FWDS) on field

t/down Trade Oliver to Gulden – so Gulden on field (MIDS) & then loop Fyfe & Richards

    Thanks in advance !!

  68. TU: Does Oliver have to go?
TD: Hold and trade him and 1 on the bench for final upgrade next week.

I’ve got 11 trades, 2 boosts, 21 premiums (subject to injury and upgrades) and 6 as bench cover

  72. is this too crazy?

OUT: Luke Ryan and Bruce Reville
IN: Lachie Whitfield and Jy Simpkin

With the change in Freo’s game plan over the past two weeks, I think Whitfield can outscore Ryan in the next nine games. I can use the cash from that trade to upgrade Reville (who I think will cop a vest tonight) to Simpkin. Simpkin should get a scoring boost over the next two weeks in the absence of Wardlaw, and will cover for Bont this week if he happens to be a late out. Going forward, Simpkin is a M9/F7 swing loop option.

  73. Would love some advice – By bringing in Schoenmaker last week I’ve lost the benefit that Will Dawson could’ve given as he and Sexton and Fisher all currently sit in the forwards. Need a downgrade to facilitate Curnow coming in.

Bringing in Kynan Brown for the DPP. If I do it in the mids by trading JClark, I get some cash to play with when needed to cover injuries for the rest of the year, but I’m stuck with Will Dawson and Darcy Jones on the FWD bench.

If I bring in Brown for Will Dawson, i can swing Dowling to be bench cover in the FWD, but less cash ITB.

TU: Dawson to KBrown (4k ITB) & bench cover
TD: Jhye Clark to KBrown (112k ITB) – no FWD bench cover

  76. Sam DeKoning could become popular after this week. Very tempted to jump aboard as a cheap D6 for those coaches struggling for cash.

  77. Who to bring in? This is only for my bench
Team will be complete with premos.

    Tu: Humphries (117k)
Td: Any 102k rookie, save as much funds as possible for any potential injuries down the road (It may be a dead rookie who isn’t named)
