  4. My season is on life support so I’m biting the bullet and tanking my 23rd spot to get 22 premos in – best I can do this year.

Sinclair, Murdock, Cumming -> Noah Anderson, Murphy Reid, Annand in

Hall-Kahan to D6 for now and will move to flex once I upgrade D Cameron to a premo defender.

5 trades left, $20k in the bank, 22 premos.

  5. Genuinely can’t remember a season like this.
Going to run out of trades coming out of the byes due to forced carnage all season.

Regardless of knowledge for the sport or for the game, I feel like this years winner will be largely dependent whoever has avoided the most carnage/ injuries.

Good luck all for the rest of the season!

  6. Errol back has spooked me about getting the Chad in this week. Would also love to hear what people are thinking about as F6 with so many inconsistent scores.

    T/U Warner
    T/D Murphy Reid??

    • I’m in the same boat – can’t decide on my F6 between Warner, Reid or Touk.

Looking at the early rounds when Gulden was playing, Warner seemed to be parked at HF, and his scoring wasn’t overly great. Granted, his midfield minutes have increased in Gulden’s absence, but it’s mostly taken 4th quarter heroics to bump him over 100 over the past couple of weeks.

With Serong back, I don’t like Reid’s midfield minutes. Will be inconsistent imo.

Touk – his floor is really 75 and ceiling around the 100 mark. I don’t have him in my team and given Gold Coast’s centre bounce faults, I’m thinking he might get moved back in there.

Personally, I’m using my Sinclair trade to Touk so Hall-Kahan can be my D6 and I can use Fitzgerald/Herbert as my M8.

      • Ideally I want to be full premo I am only 2 trades away and should have just enough funds with Jagga Lombard and Murdock all ready to be cashed in.

I was sold on picking up Rankine but another 60 score has put me off.

This Freo midfield is causing me headaches as I was looking at Brayshaw for a potential Sinclair replacement. Serong is just so unpredictable and even in his return he only had 50% CBA. Almost as confusing as how the Suns midfield is the worst clearance team with that lineup.

      • I mostly agree with this but with no McInerney, there are more CBAs available than the start of the season so Chad might still hold onto a bunch but that is largely me just trying to cope because I have him

Can you read the mind of Coach SOLOMON?
He sent Sam to the hard inside mid position…which is Sam’s strong point…and Merrett went back and floated…next Merrett is back in the mids??? what is Solomon gonna do here?
Sam as that hard inside mid is a shoo in at BE 7 and 370000 BUT what role will the coach give him this round is just a guessing game…?????
Plays North and will not be tagged but will he run with SHEEZEL…
Then Saints and Lions…very tempting…but losing a trade that is not forced is my big concern…

  10. Is Whitfield an option for Sinclair ? I know ash has been moved back to defence but what’s the go with Whitfield? Hasn’t scored well for about 4 weeks now but seems to still have a good role?

    TU – good option
    TD – look elsewhere

  11. Any suggestions? 128k ITB 11 trades 1 boost left
DEF: Holmes, Sinclair Ash, Clark, Wilkie, Daicos (Derkson, Edwards)

MID: Butters, Bont, Daicos, Merrett, Callaghan, Richards, Cumming, HHK (Ison, Tsatas, Banfield)

    RUC: Grundy, Jackson (ZZ)

FWD: Sheezel, JHF, Trac, Pickett, Bailey, Bolton (Podhajski, T.Edwards)

    FLX: Lombard

Thinking of downgrading a player to Herbert this week but can’t decide who – thinking maybe Banfield as he isn’t getting a game and has bye this week?
Also unsure of if I should trade a player in for Sinclair or wait a week and get Nas

    • keep Banfield, not enough cash on Banfield, plus his DPP is nice. You can wait a week on Herbert

i would trade Sinclair to a midfielder this week, like heeney if you have cash or a Neale as a great budget option, swing HHK back to defence. then get Nas next week and swing HHK back to midfield. That way you get an extra onfield premo this week

    • I think Sinclair to someone could be good this week. I’m personally bringing in Neale which you could do but Parker and Blakey are both decent defensive options there. Then next week I’d do Lombard and Cumming to Herbert and someone, maybe Nas if you pick up a mid this week as the Sinclair replacement

  12. if Sinclair is a trade then-
T/U trade in NAS as Sinclair was on the bye anyway (two trades needed)
T/D trade in parker (one trade)
if NAS goes at 115 for the rest of the year (8 games) then Parker would need average 103 to equal him with his extra game, which seems pretty doable, but NAS’s high ceiling scares me.11 trades in hand…….

I am currently thinking Wilkie as I am not in need of players and points this week so I am only focused on the best option long term

    Thoughts?

    TU – Wilkie in
TD- Other option (if so please comment)

    • Cripps and Newcombe are the only two that I think will play every game and both will have post bye finals chance motivating them. All of the others could score more each week that they play

  16. Ranked top 1k with 5 trades remaining. Planning on looping HHK and Derkson for D6 and Herbert and Fitzgerald for M8.

I have both Sinclair and Xerri – Sinclairs and obvious trade out but would you trade Xerri given the rank?

T/U Bring in Grundy and Durham for the two.
T/D Hold Xerri and just bring in a forward for Sinclair – leaning towards De Goey or Touk.

    Cheers

  17. What are people’s thoughts on how to deal with Sinclair?

My DEF was already basically finished: Sinclair, Ash, Whitfield, Holmes, Worrel and Clark (HHK & Derksen bench).
I’ve just got 1 MID rookie to upgrade which will be happening in the next couple of weeks hopefully to Heeney.
My FWD is the biggest area of concern. Sheezel, Petracca, Pickett, Ross, Arty Jones, Podhajski, Scerri and C. Banfield.
After bringing in Dawson this week I have 6 trades left and 254k in the bank.

    So basically its either:

TU: downgrade to Annand or a mid rookie via Parker DPP, save the bank for other fixes

TD: Upgrade Sinclair to another DEF/MID primo maybe Nas etc after the bye or someone else like Neale, using up some of the bank and keeping 6 primos on field in DEF

  24. Hey legends,
Big decision to be made, injury chaos this year leaving me close to tradeless this time of the year.

    Plan:
TU: Semi-budget defender this week (Blakey, Uwland, Parker) for Sinclair + Holmes or Nas next week = 3 injury trades left
TD: Holmes + Nas next week (Sinclair and Tsatas out), downgrading Derksen to Artemis to get enough cash = 2 injury trades left

Trying to not get the forfeit in mates league so wins are important, hence potential trade in this week against a weaker opponent, or do I set myself up for the remaining 4 games post-bye with a bigger injury trade risk

    Thoughts?

  25. plan was heeney this week and smith the week after to be my 23rd premium.

the sinclair injury make it interesting. i had to pass on Nas last week and went with Ash because of the byes (wasn’t looking forward to not owing Nas for the rest of year)

with sinclair out, i can now trade Sinclair to Heeney this week, and get Smith and Nas next week…. but the problem is now the cash.

Sinclair dropped $62k and Nas went up $20k, means i can’t get the funds to get all three, means i’m now $80k short.

I want Nas next week, so i now have to decide between Heeney or Smith and getting a ‘budget’ premium like Neale or Merrett.

Smiths run of games to finish the season is amazing, he is slighty cheaper and won’t have the ‘Guelden factor’ to worry about. (he does play for Geelong and as a hawks supporter, it will be a tough watch)

Heeney is a very attractive man (meaning i love watching him play), plus i can get him a week earlier

    TU: Smith

    TD: Heeney

  26. Looking to finish my team next week-

    Team is currently-

Def – Holmes, Sicily, Worrell, Short, Clark, Sinclair (HHK, Annand)
Mid – Dawson, Butters, N.Anderson, Daicos, Merrett, Neale, Bont, S.Cumming (N.Cox, Ison, Fitzgerald)
    Ruck – Gawn, Jackson (Riley)
Fwd – Sheezel, JHF, Petracca, K.Pickett, Warner, Miller (L.Pickett, Banfield)
    Flex – D.Cameron
    Cash $101k
    Trades – 8

    Looking at the following –
This week – Sinclair & Ison to Artemus & Newcombe or Cripps
Next week – Cumming & Cox to Herbert & Nas (swing HHK to the midfield)

Will leave 4 trades for injuries

    TU – Good plan
TD – Look at cheaper options for Cripps/Newcombe, such as Murphy Reid/DeGoey/Day and save I trade but carry Ison instead of Artemus.

  27. Getting low on trades. Need a Sinclair replacement and a F6 but really only want to use 2 trades with my banked cash.

TU: Nas (next week) + Daniels (already have 3 GWS players)
    TD: Parker + De Goey/Rankine/Bailey

    Many thanks!

  28. Is Marshall a legit option after Bye? With TDK out.

Otherwise, I just don’t trust any of the fwds. I have Sheez, Petracca, Kozzi, JHF, Sanders.

Keen to hear people’s recommendations and why.
