I think I may have finally got lucky. I had most of the top rookies and still 200k in the bank. Lost Gulden which I turned into Bont, Young’s injury annoyed me so went early on Murdoch and then used my boost on Coleman to Houston since they were sharing the same bye anyway.
Now got Petracca and Rozee to deal with but depending on timeframes I might actually keep them because I’ve got cover everywhere for the bye rounds and still 160k in the bank.
Thinking of going Trac, Rozee and Sharp -> Holmes, Houston and Cook leaving me with 205k itb that I will potentially use to upgrade a mid pricer next week
Looking to do a Rookie correction- Lombard to Murdoch.
Also need to deal with Rozie & Petracca – thinking Worrell in defence. Not seeing a heap of defensive options (not trusting Houston).
Probably leaning towards to Josh Treacy in the forward line.
Not sure if I’m chasing points to much. I think Treacy could be top 6 forward.
I’m in the same boat as you mate. My midfield depth is looking fairly strong so leaning towards grabbing Xerri whilst we can.
The rucks seem to be scoring just fine!
Already have English & Jackson.
Plan is to bring in Xerri for Petracca through Kalani White (dpp). There are no premium forwards I want and I feel like a lot of us (including myself) may have over reacted with these ruck rules effecting Xerri.
Still some very nice fixtures to come and will be well over 700k soon.
Will mean McAndrew will become my R3 from next week onwards, will be used to cover English on the bye this coming week.
Long term hoping Jackson gets DPP from round 6 onwards but otherwise don’t see a reason not to run 3 rucks as they all seem to be scoring great.
Out: Trac, Rozee and Sharp to Ash (could be anyone in Def really), Jackson and Murdoch.
I already have Xerri, English and McAndrew (Flex). This would mean I swing White forward, put McAndrew at R3 (covers English this week), which allows me Jackson at Flex.
I really should have read the comments before … ain’t the only one thinking of doing this. Alternative would be to bring in Holmes off his bye … no real forwards that are crying out to be picked atm. Will need to wait for DPP.
Think Holmes is a safer pick mate – Baileys disposal is too inconsistent to be paying top dollar for him. Will go down in price and only then do we start looking at him.
So I’m targeting my league spot rather than overall ranking, and I’m trying something different. I counted on the byes not to force me to rely on early commitments to super expensive premos and instead target solid, easy to hold value forward premos like Petracca, all the good cash cows, top-tier rucks and some fairly reliable mid-pricers. It’s probably stupid, but it’s fun.
Anyway, its been a good start, because as I expected the byes did wonders for me. I got 1,907 and topped my league with 850k itb. I’ve also avoided some misfires, have some good targets when they get cheaper and am looking to more confidently get in the premos that have shown some good early form for failed cash cows and mid-pricers.
So at the moment though I have a conundrum. I have to finish cleaning up my early bets that didn’t pay off, as McKerch, Pickett and T. Mccarthy are set to lose like 70k and I can move them on with the cash itb. However, I also have petracca, rozee and sharp.
For my specific league strategy, should i focus on avoiding cash losses and prioritise getting rid of McKercher, Pickett and McCarthy or should I fix up my injuries?
Getting Merrett, Houston and Murdock for ->
T/U Petracca, Rozee and Sharp
T/D Mckercher, Pickett and McCarthy
Comment if you think I should wait it out with McCarthy or should target someone other than the above to bring in this week.
Again I know I’m breaking all sorts of rules but I just wanted to have some fun and try something different. Usually my trying something different is just burning through my trades chasing points, so this is a nice change of pace.
I agree with this. There’s no real reason to get rid of Sharp over any of the guys that will actually lose cash. Rozee has to go but then pick 2 of Trac, McKercher, Pickett and McCarthy to go. I think Pickett is the most likely to have a spike game so I’d keep him and I think McKercher is just working back into the game seeing as he missed preseason so I’m personally holding him but it’s really your call
Is bringing in both Worrell and Houston for Rooze and Trac too risky? I’m considering it as a value play, will be a success imo if just one of them finishes top 6 DEF and the other makes a bit of cash and scores reasonably for a sideways later in the season.
The main downside is it would leave me with bulk cash ITB (think 300-400k) for a week or two as I moved Young -> Murdock last week, but I think this is less painful in the bye rounds.
My thinking is the saved cash will really help unlock Bont, NWM and second RUC premo quickly after the byes.
TU: Go on Worrell and Houston and bank the cash
TD: Stump up for Xerri / Jackson / Gawn now
Maybe wait to see how your team is going and make the decision mid-round? If you have a few strong rookie scores, hold the boost but otherwise fire away if there’s a replacement you like that plays late Saturday or Sunday.
T/u Trac Rozee Sharp to Ndaicos Murdock and one of Stewart/Houston/JDaicos, and about $150-$205k
T/d Same outs but Bruhn instead of Daicos, and $500-$550k which allows any mid next week. Got Bont . Bruhn to go up $56k this week and would be happy to keep as m8-m11
Tracc, Rozee & Sharp for Xerri, Merrett & Watkins.
McAndrew would go to R3 and LJ or English to overkill Flex until (hopefully) DPP status R6.
Would let me go Carroll & Lombard to Bont & Scerri next week. Scerri’s JS is sketchy and might end up a loop.at times but surely he showed enough to put himself in the selection equation?
Am I crazy for trading out Grundy to bring in Xerri? It avoids a zero in my rucks this week and Xerri is playing Essendon (Blakiston) where he could score 150 and offer a good VC/C option. After this round Xerri could average 5-10pts more per round?
I would deal with Petracca next week and see if one of the forwards excites me.
TU: Makes sense, bring in big X
TD: Crazy! Use your trades elsewhere
Is triple premo Ruck (one at flex) Mcandrew at r3 too much?
English Grundy already in the squad. Looking at Xerri and do have the funds but do having flex not really be able to be used fully worries me, but then again having Xerri feels great.
TU – not bad, get Xerri in
TD – overkill, go get a mid
I’d say I am but that is influenced by him being locked into my fwd and no other option besides downgrading to cook. He will have to be traded back in anyways so with 2 byes remaining it doesn’t seem the worst option.
T/U Xerri (Flex leaving McAndrew at R3)
T/D Houston
Really not sold on Houston could easily see him producing 80-90’s when Moore and Howe return. Aiming to grab NAS and even look at Whitfield after their byes.
Unbelievable … was lamenting all day yesterday for not going early on him last week which would have net me 80 extra points (Sharp) and now he has done a hammy. Watkins, come on down
Currently have Xerri/English, with McAndrew at Utility.
I see McAndrew as 80+ so feels a waste to run him on the pine.
Is it still worth bringing in Jackson, moving McAndrew to R3 / bench?
This is my dilemma for the week … looking ahead Jackson has Tigers, Crows, Pies, Eagles and then Carlton which on paper looks like a mighty fine run. It’s also no guarantee that Rob won’t come in to share the rucking duties with McAndrew in the near future. If you’re going to pivot to three gun rucks, now is the time to do it before the price rises. I’m pulling the trigger
I’m running Jackson / English / Macandrew with Gawn at flex. Hoping for dpp for Jackson who will for sure be a top 8 mid. Xerri will then join my side:)
Using a boost this round after 1 trade last week – Riccardi > Langford, fail that round but moving forward….
Lombard, Petracca and O’sullivan OUT
IN Houston, Wdurrr and Marshall
Missed all the carnage except for Tracc
Need to use a boost to pull that off otherwise the trades will not math.
TU – Boost away
TD – Regiggle and try to only use 2
Thanks everyone – Not the best start rank-wise but I am optimistic
TU – Windsor for Houston/Stewart
TD – H. Reid for S. Berry
May be overestimating berry but high cba, big improvement on k:h ratio and tackle numbers look great + he’s been scoring well without great efficiency
Thoughts on W Duursma over Watkins? costs a tad more but presumably better job security and should go up by a similar amount this week?
Tu: duurs
Td: watkins
TU:
Trac, Rozee and Sharp —> Cook, Xerri, and 546k leftover to spend on a mid or fwd.
Considering picking up a rookie to free up cash space for a Bont Pickup next week. This also leaves McAndrew at R3 behind Jackson and English, and ZZ in my backline, which is something to consider
TD:
Trac, Rozee and Sharp –> Cook, Houston and Naicos
Leaves me $170k. ZZ will stay at R3 which is where I want him. Can also go to Holmes or Bont (I guess?) instead of Daicos with the cash I have.
This would mean fading Watkins unfortunately, but I am leaning towards this being the best compromise on points and cash gen (I have almost all of the other important rooks). If I go Watkins instead of Worrell, it will mean having significant cash itb (500-600k or so) and bringing in Worrell next week (likely a Lindsay upgrade).
TU: Need to bring in both Cook and Watkins for cash gen
TD: Xerri and Worrell
There’ll be other $99k rookies. Scerri will be on the bubble next week, for example. Xerri won’t get any cheaper and will do unholy things to Blakiston this week.
Who to trade out
Tu Blakiston on field maybe reach his BE and trade next week
Td Walsh injured not playing and not looking great when he does
Can trade either boosting to get Xerri Cook and Watkins and get Bont next week
Since when is walsh injured? Don’t trade premos unless injured. He missed a lot of footy last year but has shown enough to get back to his best this year, i’d stick with him.
With Sharp a test and Murdock meant to be 1-2 weeks looking at;
Petracca, Rozee, Gulden -> Cook, Zorko, Xerri (through Parish flex)
Leaves 368k for upgrades in next couple weeks (Philipou, Sharp, Windsor if not performing), any other premiums to target rather than Xerri, Zorko?
Tried to think outside box and went with Jackson/TDK as my Ruck combo. Jackson doing well but TDK underwhelming. Tempted to turf TDK for Xerri or Gawn but looking at his score on Sat he got 90 in DT and 45 in SC largely because of DE%/clangers, it was a wet game so wondering if I should give him another go without burning a trade (especially with so many other issues in my team – TRac/Rozee/Blakiston/Parish)
T/U cut my losses and bring in Xerri for TDK
T/D dont waste a trade on a sideways move, hes getting enough of the ball and hit outs and will turn it around
Will be interesting to see how many hold this week. I for one am trading him. Even if only hammy awareness its at least 3-4 weeks, they have the bye this week. No use sitting him on the pine rather trade to a playing player that will make cash or score huge.
Hi all,
Thinking Zorko and J Daicos for Rozee, Trac.
Will give better backline leaving rucks as Gawn and English Mac at Flex..
Not getting Xerri…
TU good idea
TD no good get big X…
Thanks
TU: Holmes (get Bont next week but miss out on Watkins or pay up for him next week)
TD: Watkins (get Bont next week and Ash/Nas week after bye but down a premo this week)
I have the same setup. Xerri appears too good to pass up with his matchups, so I have switched ZZ to the backline. Xerri comes into flex and McAndrew will be riding the pine for the forseeable future.
I feel McAndrew is gonna be a 70 ave player at most anyway, with Thilthorpe, Maley and the threat of ROB returning
As a Xerri and English owner and long-time believer in rucks (despite rule changes), I’m using this week to further go against the grain and bring in a third premium ruck. Risky, but I’m keen to keep gambling that the rucks will outscore expectations.
Most controversial take is that I’m fading Watkins for Duursma.
This may come back to bite me, but I believe in Duursma’s role and cash making abilities over Watkins. With a BE of -49, if Duursma scores just 56s (he’s averaging 83) he will make $70k over the next two weeks… or considerably more if he keeps up his average. He’s locked in the West Coast team, so could easily see him hitting $400k, which is an easy premo upgrade.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m scared of fading Watkins and his cash gen, but I prefer Duursma as a safe money maker. The issue with $99k players is that you can only capture the first $20k of their cash gen if another $99k rookie pops up in their postion; otherwise you’re going to a $119k rookie and losing $20k. That said, I do appreciate that Watkins could still make $100k over the next 2 weeks (of which you can pocket at least $80k), but I think Duursma probably makes as much, and is a much stronger on-field scorer and far lower risk of being dropped.
I have Jackson and English with McAndrew at flex and am bringing in Xerri this week. That will cover English this week and I can put McAndrew as emergency next week, until one of the other rucks gets DPP(hopefully).
I’m also going Cook over Watkins mainly due to DPP status.
Duursma probably the better scoring option with at least some money making potential.
Duursma will not kick 2 every week. It was North…expect a 65+ average in a wing role.
Watkins you did see his last quarter after Rozee injury. I expect the average to be about the same but with wadkins you 100k closer to you next upgrade.
Agree Vicwood – that 88 will not be his norm, but in saying that, he did have 78pts against GC the week prior in a 60pt drubbing where he only had 14 touches, no goals.
Probably equally as unlikely that Watkins kicks a goal, and has two fewer players to contend with in the rotation (he had 10 of his 23 touches and a goal with Bergman and Rozee off the pitch).
Although in saying that – Bergman not playing this week does drastically improve his chances of CBAs.
Think I could go either way on this one, but can’t have them all so I’ll stick with my gut.
decided to trade tdk for Xerri and will move on Trac for Cook. With Rozee im tossing up with following:
T/U Houston looks like good value but still not sure how he will be when moore/howe are back
T/D Watkins to ensure I have all the best bubble boys but not sure about his JS
Considering injuries to Trac, Rozee, etc it could be more about covering injuries this week than anything else….
I read Tracca out for a month so that’s a trade for me. Targeting the Bont
He still has his bye to come
Yeah just noticed. Back to the drawing board
Both Trac & Bont have bye this week, best of 18, so wait til next week
Murdock injured as well
Sharp to Cook, swing cook into the FWD line and leave Tracca on the mid bench this week ready for Bont next week.
Thinking of going Trac, Rozee and Sharp -> Holmes, Houston and Cook leaving me with 205k itb that I will potentially use to upgrade a mid pricer next week
Fore reference: I already have Bont, Naicos and X
Sharp > Watkins
Rozee > Houston
Trac > Xerri (via dpp)
TU / TD
Rozee to Houston
Sharp to Murdoch
Trac to jackson
Rozee, Sharp, Lombard or Carroll to Houston, Holmes, Murdock
I have $330k inb after downgrading young to a rookie last week so thinking ill hold trac for a week and try and get him to bont week after
Tu: Good idea
Td: Trade trac this week
TU- Braydon Cook
TD- Todd Marshall
thinking of holding rozee (if it’s only a few weeks)
Trac – Xerri
Windsor/Parish to rookie
really wanted richard’s gone but can’t afford to trade premos with all this injury carnage
TU- trade parish TD – trade windsor
reply – keep both and keep boost
Signs are not short term for Rozee. They think its a tendon injury which could be 8-12 weeks. Will be confirmed tomorrow but he looks a must trade
You could argue trac could be a hold until dpps kick in because fwd options arent great and rookies like marshall and d rob are doing the job
Hey Legends
TU: Naicos
TD: Holmes
Cheers
Both solid
Is Josh Worrell a top 6 defender? Scores of 116 & 123 to start the season.
TU: Yes
TD: No
Probably top 10
Are we convinced on Houston? Moore and Howe to come back in, how is that going to affect scoring?
There could be tears in a few weeks
Sure could, but the question is tears of joy or sadness !!??
Totally different roles, Moore/Howe vs Houston. IMO hes happy again, new GF, back to his Port rebounding half back days. Thats what they got him for
Didn’t use a trade yet.
Appreciate some feedback
This week Rozee>Houston, Sharp>Murdock
Next week Petracca>Bont
My 3 likely trades.
Appreciate your thoughts on each.
Rookies correction –
Lombard to Murdoch
Rozie to –
TU – Worrell
TD – Houston

Houston is a no brainer. IMO hes happy again, new GF, back to his Port rebounding half back days. Thats what they got him for.
Petracca to-
TU – Treacy
TD – Brayden Cook
Wait a week
Rozee to Houston.
Jumped early on Murdock (after some shocking 19-23’s) so Sharp can stay for now.
I’d bring Bont or English but the Byes… I don’t wanna pull in Ash for one week before donut either.
It might just be 1 trade for me.
I am really tempted to bring back in Duff-Tytler after his free Round 0 trade out. But I’ll do more research before the knee jerk reaction.
With some DPP swings I can do:
Out: Petracca + Rozee + Sharp
In: Xerri + Houston + Cook
Adding Xerri means I’ll have Jackson, English, Xerri as R1/R2/Flex and pushes McAndrew to R3.
Worried another massive Xerri score is going to make him unattainable. Is it worth bringing him in and running 3 premo rucks?
TU: do it – need Xerri
TD: don’t run 3 rucks, trade in a premo mid
I’m in the same boat as you mate. My midfield depth is looking fairly strong so leaning towards grabbing Xerri whilst we can.
The rucks seem to be scoring just fine!
Interested to hear why majority think Xerri/ruck to flex is a bad idea?
Yes do it. Hopefully Jackson gets dpp after R6
Is it dumb to bring in Sinclair because of the bye round 4?
T/u – Yes pick someone with no bye
T/d – Nah, just get Sinclair
Already have English & Jackson.
Plan is to bring in Xerri for Petracca through Kalani White (dpp). There are no premium forwards I want and I feel like a lot of us (including myself) may have over reacted with these ruck rules effecting Xerri.
Still some very nice fixtures to come and will be well over 700k soon.
Will mean McAndrew will become my R3 from next week onwards, will be used to cover English on the bye this coming week.
Long term hoping Jackson gets DPP from round 6 onwards but otherwise don’t see a reason not to run 3 rucks as they all seem to be scoring great.

josh daicos has never been a premo, so why would he this year?
Tu: Holmes
Td: Xerri
If i went Xerri then LMac moves to R3 as i already have gawn and english
I am going Xerri. Midfield depth is pretty deep and I’m going to back in my M8 to get close enough to LMac each week. Goodluck!
Am I crazy by doing this …
Out: Trac, Rozee and Sharp to Ash (could be anyone in Def really), Jackson and Murdoch.
I already have Xerri, English and McAndrew (Flex). This would mean I swing White forward, put McAndrew at R3 (covers English this week), which allows me Jackson at Flex.

TU: Sharp to Holmes this week

Hi all,
what a week,
sitting about 1200 so Rozee out
TU Josh Daicos
TD Worrell
Thanks all….
I’m looking at two options this week.
First gamer Scerri did OK with 73 SC points at $99K could be a possible down grade soon, see how he goes next week for the Dockers.
TU: Young, Sharp > Murdoch, Watkins
Or use boost
TD: Young, Sharp, Rozee > Murdoch, Watkins, Xerri

Leaves me 106k itb.
Trading out rozee and trac

Do we reckon using the boost for Trac to Cook is worth it? Real conflicted right now.
TU: Worrel + Xerri

Sharp, Gulden, Rozee being traded out; Cook the third player being brought in

I would deal with Petracca next week and see if one of the forwards excites me.
TU: Makes sense, bring in big X
TD: Crazy! Use your trades elsewhere
Could do Jackson instead of Xerri whos up against a Richmond without Nankervis
Don’t make trades based on who a ruck is playing for one week. You’ll be out of trades by the byes.
Rozee>swing ZZ back, mcandrew R3> xerri flex
Sharp>murdock
Still have trac. Going to bench him and likely hold and pray blamires and murdock hold form.
Remainder of my team looks decent. All the right rookies.
Haven’t initiated boost yet.
300k itb.
TU: Murphy Reid
TD: Cook + $
These two trades are locked in…

D. Sharp -> M. Murdock
Unsure on the third…

T/D – C. Rozee -> L. Ash / D. Zorko (731.4 ITB)
How deep is your mid line? If you have four or fewer keepers, I’d concentrate there first.

TU j daicos m Reid and 200k
TD Houston Xerri — mcandrew to r3 Xerri at flex
Thanks
I need to get Rozee and Trac out
Thinking of using a Boost
Trac to Rankine
Rozee to Houston
Sharp to Murdoch
Keeping 350k in the bank
Could be convinced to go M Reid instead of Rankine but I feel Rankine will end up being a keeper
Or go less risky and go to Clark or Ash instead of Houston
Trading in Worrell, Holmes, Murdoch
Trading out Rozee, mckercher, sharp
Holding trac for a week
Tu good plan
Td need to get rid of trac
Any other better options than Holmes without a bye coming up?
B smith
Are people holding trac? Or is it to long of a stint on the side lines
TU – trade
TD – hold
I’d say I am but that is influenced by him being locked into my fwd and no other option besides downgrading to cook. He will have to be traded back in anyways so with 2 byes remaining it doesn’t seem the worst option.
Have Rozee in flex position and he needs to go.
TU – Trade for Gawn (have Xerri & Jackson)
TD – Trade for Merrett
Is Worrell a legitimate option in Defence? Or is this a trap?
TU: Give it a go
TD: Steer Clear
T/U. Worrell or T/D J Daicos
T/U Xerri (Flex leaving McAndrew at R3)
T/D Houston
Really not sold on Houston could easily see him producing 80-90’s when Moore and Howe return. Aiming to grab NAS and even look at Whitfield after their byes.
Rozee (DEF) & Trac (FLEX) to be traded out.
TU – Stewart (DEF), Gawn (FLEX) – IN
TD – J Daicos (DEF), Merrett (FLEX) – IN
Is bringing Gawn into Flex a mistake given I have Jackson & Xerri in main RUC position?
I don’t see any love for Zorko.
TU Rozee, Trac, Sharp -> Xerri, Worrell, Murdoch
TD Rozee, Trac, Windsor -> Xerri, Zorko, Murdoch
Always one game away from injury or suspension…I sleep better without him.
Rozee to Houston
Windsor to Murdock
Trac to Gawn
TU or TD what we thinkin
Murdock injured
Is it worth trading Mitch Edwards early just to get Xerri in?
Currently have Jackson, English and Edwards in the rucks and McAndrew at Flex.
Forgive my ignorance here but how on earth can you trade say Lindsay for Xerri when one is a ruck and the other a defender???
DPP’s mate – can move around the whole team using them and the flex position. It’s doable
Trying to decide between the two for Rozee
T/U Ash (bye next week)
T/D J Clark
Thinking D1,2,3 should be
Sinclair/NWM, Ash/Whitfield, J.Clark
This Week
Rozee>Ash/Whitfield
Sharp>Murdock
Lombard>Cook
Next Week
Parish>Scerri
Petracca>Bont
itb 150-200k
go ash, and murdock now injured
TU – Worrell TD – Houston
TU: Murphy Reid
TD: B Cook and bank cash
TU: Houston
TD: Stewart
have a look at worrell from ADE
Hi all,
TU Jackson at flex and J Daicos Have Gawn and English
TD Xerri at flex and Houston..
Both leave Mc Andrew at R3…
Thanks
Review your trades
Murdock out with a hamstring
Multiple posts on X
Unbelievable … was lamenting all day yesterday for not going early on him last week which would have net me 80 extra points (Sharp) and now he has done a hammy. Watkins, come on down
your right mate, now i dont regret trading him in last week
*not trading him in
TU: Worrel
TD: Houstan
have a look at worrel, he has been under the radar this year
Well did a calf, he is a test this week
TU: Cook
TD: Marshall
Worth trading out Parish given all the injury carnage?
Until his injured (fingers crossed), hold the trade. Playing full time midfield and has the Roos this week. Might be able to eek out a hundred.
Currently have Xerri/English, with McAndrew at Utility.
I see McAndrew as 80+ so feels a waste to run him on the pine.
Is it still worth bringing in Jackson, moving McAndrew to R3 / bench?
TU Yes
TD No
This is my dilemma for the week … looking ahead Jackson has Tigers, Crows, Pies, Eagles and then Carlton which on paper looks like a mighty fine run.
Who is R3 now?
T/u – Ash
T/d – Clark
Although I’m not happy about Ryan playing and taking all the easy kicks from Clark in second half
T/u – Max Holmes
T/d – Zach Merrett
T/u – Brayden Cook
T/d – Willem Duursma
T/u – Sinclair
T/d – Houston
Moore and Howe back this week.
TU: Young to Bruhn
TD: Keep young
If Young plays this week keep him, but you will also need to get Bruhn
Yes or No
I already have Jackson/English, with McAndrew at R3.
Rozee to Houston
Petracca to Xerri (at Flex via DPP)
D.Sharp to B.Cook
leaves $104k ITB
hoping Jackson gets DPP and Xerri can move into Ruck from Flex
T/U – Yes
T-D – No
Murdoch out (hammy)
Been hit with 4 injuries this week, planning to hold Petracca + Murdock.
Plan atm is:
Rozee > T Stewart
Sharp > Cook
$305k remaining
Do I boost this week and upgrade the likes of Windsor/Parish/Phillipou or wait until next week and get Bont in?
TU – Bont next week
TD – Move on the spuds
Also could boost this week and go Petracca > Bruhn.
Leaves me $598k for big upgrades next week (assuming the SC gods don’t bend me over for once!)
TU – Ash
TD – Houston
Using a boost this round after 1 trade last week – Riccardi > Langford, fail that round but moving forward….
Lombard, Petracca and O’sullivan OUT
IN Houston, Wdurrr and Marshall
Missed all the carnage except for Tracc
Need to use a boost to pull that off otherwise the trades will not math.
TU – Boost away
TD – Regiggle and try to only use 2
Thanks everyone – Not the best start rank-wise but I am optimistic
282k ITB after the boost
TU – Holmes
TD – N.Daicos
TU – Windsor for Houston/Stewart
TD – H. Reid for S. Berry
May be overestimating berry but high cba, big improvement on k:h ratio and tackle numbers look great + he’s been scoring well without great efficiency
Is it worth using a boost?
Sharp > Watkins
TU: Zorko
Or
TD: Houston
WITH ALL THIS CARNAGE, I THINK IVE GOT MY OWN CASE OF HAMSTRING AWARENESS
Prem mid out of these 2
TU Holmes
TD Merrett
Any love for shai Bolton? Seemed to have a decent midfield role and has a decent fixture.
TU – good idea
TD – look elsewhere
Also had 71% of CBA’s, is he a pod?
That won’t happen when Young comes back
TU: Jackson (plays Richmond, no ruck)
TD: Xerri (plays Blakiston)
Comment both
TU: yes
TD: no
TU: Jackson and Worrell
TD: Xerri and Houston
Other trade is Sharp to Cook
Thoughts on W Duursma over Watkins? costs a tad more but presumably better job security and should go up by a similar amount this week?
Tu: duurs
Td: watkins
Should I loop Cook in the first game or hold off to Blamires/Watkins?
TU HOUSTON
TD SHORT
Sharing 50/50 kick in’s with Jaicos, Moore & Howe back
Vlastuin is back sharing kick ins with everyone
Currently thinking of these trades:
Rooze, Trac, Sharp -> Xerri, Worrell, Cook
Hi everyone – advice on who best to bring in?
T/U Xerri
T/D Jacson
And
T/U Houston and $130k or
T/D Zorko
A silly question but can u captain/vc whoever is in the flex spot and still use loop?
T/U yes u idiot
T/D no
Who to trade out
Tu Blakiston on field maybe reach his BE and trade next week
Td Walsh injured not playing and not looking great when he does
Can trade either boosting to get Xerri Cook and Watkins and get Bont next week
Since when is walsh injured? Don’t trade premos unless injured. He missed a lot of footy last year but has shown enough to get back to his best this year, i’d stick with him.
Looking for a M/F to replace Petracca.
Best option out of Pickett, Bolton or Rankine?
All inconsistent IMO but Rankine has most upside
I’d go Murphy Reid ahead of all of them. At least he’s already starting cheaper for the roller coaster ride
Rozee replacement:
TU Houston (Moore and Howe back may impact his scoring)
TD Stewart (Average118 after 2 games)
Would say neither with the return of Moore and Howe + Stewart injury history. Maybe Worrel or someone more expensive if you have left over cash
Think now is the time to bring in a third ruck in flex and moving McAndrew to the pine
Have Gawn and Grundy.
TU: Xerri
TD: Jackson
Can afford either
Considering this
TU:
Rozee – Houston
Trac- Rankine
Lombard – M Reid
93k In the bank
or
TD:
Rozee – Houston
Trac- Rankine
Sharp – Watkins
Comment:
Or i could not use a boost and and keep Lombard and Sharp
With Sharp a test and Murdock meant to be 1-2 weeks looking at;
Petracca, Rozee, Gulden -> Cook, Zorko, Xerri (through Parish flex)
Is Watkins a must have? I think I’ve nailed all the other rookies.
T/U: Watkins (and lots of cash in the bank).
T/D: Holmes
does anyone know how long trac our for???
Will be interesting to see how many hold this week. I for one am trading him. Even if only hammy awareness its at least 3-4 weeks, they have the bye this week. No use sitting him on the pine rather trade to a playing player that will make cash or score huge.
i have traded trac rozee and sellwood for houston marshell uniacke because i had rozee in mid dont know if i needed the boost
Looking for consistency
T/U J. Daicos
T/D Houston
Job security is important for rookies
T/U Cook costs more but has DPP
T/D Watkins
Hi all,
Thinking Zorko and J Daicos for Rozee, Trac.
Will give better backline leaving rucks as Gawn and English Mac at Flex..
Not getting Xerri…
TU good idea
TD no good get big X…
Thanks
TU: Lindsay -> Ash
TD: Sharp -> Daicos
TU: Holmes (get Bont next week but miss out on Watkins or pay up for him next week)
TD: Watkins (get Bont next week and Ash/Nas week after bye but down a premo this week)
T/U Ash
T/D Zorko
Cheers Team
Hi all,
T/U – Xerri and Scerri
T/D- Jackson and Cook
Thanks.
Do you remember what happened to Murdock ????
For Dawson…
Tu Daicos
Td Holmes
Is it worth trading him?
Ever heard of a one week calf ????
are you asking for a friend?
Need to have some first.
TU: Ash & Bruhn
TD: Clark & Houston
TU: Boost and get Watkins for Sharp/Windsor
TD: Hold boost
Priority trade
Tu trac
Td mckercher
tu cook
td duursma
Rozee to …
TU: Worrell
TD: Houston
For Rozee:-
TU – L Ash
TD – J Daicos
Ah I think I have stuffed my rucks…
I have Grundy and English, both on bye.
ZZ at r3 and McAndrew at flex.
TU: leave the rucks as is and just try to work out people on field, focus on trading out Rozzee and Petracca, accept missing out on Xerri
TD: Xerri is a must have so sideways trade Grundy and use a boost to try fix the rest
Philby don’t waist a trade Grundy will probably finish top 3 must have other issues your chasing points
Rozee ->
TU: Houston
TD: Stewart
5 all? Thanks guys…lol
Which one to miss out on?
TU: Cook
TD: Marshall
Comment: Watkins
TU: Watkins
Do Howe and Moore affect Houston’s scoring greatly??
TU: yes
TD: no
Cheers
What to use boost for
TU: Trac (on field) > M.Reid
Or
TD: Sharp (on bench) > Cook/Watkins
What to use boost for
TU: Trac (on field) > M.Reid
Or
TD: Sharp (on bench) > Cook/Watkins
As a Xerri and English owner and long-time believer in rucks (despite rule changes), I’m using this week to further go against the grain and bring in a third premium ruck. Risky, but I’m keen to keep gambling that the rucks will outscore expectations.
Rozee, Petracca, Edwards -> Gawn, Duursma, Cook, $302k itb
Am I an idiot?
TU: No
TD: Yes
100% agree with you on the rucks Jack.
Good luck.
Who is the bigger priority trade out
TU: D Sharp
TD: Blakiston
TU:
Rozee -> Xerri
Trac -> Cook
J. Serong -> Houston
TD:
Rozee -> Houston
Trac -> Cook
Sharp-> Daicos/Holmes
TU NWM
TD Tom Stewart
decided to trade tdk for Xerri and will move on Trac for Cook. With Rozee im tossing up with following:
T/U Houston looks like good value but still not sure how he will be when moore/howe are back
T/D Watkins to ensure I have all the best bubble boys but not sure about his JS
TU: Xerri and LDU
TD: Holmes and Anderson (grab him after bye
TU: LDU
TD : Steele
Last week’s trades were Gulden & Young to Petracca & Fonti
Current team before trades this week:
Def – Sinclair, Rozee, McCarthy, Windsor, Jaques, Serong (Lindsay, Sellwood)
Mid – Bont, Butters, Daicos, Petracca, Parish, Bruhn, Smith, Blamires (Grji, Carroll, Sharp)
Ruc – Jackson, English (McAndrew)
Fwd – Sheezel, Flanders, Budarick, Phillipou, Marshall, Robertson (Dovaston, Lombard)
Flex – Fonti
$225,600 ITB (5 Boosts)
Thinking of using a boost:
Rozee, Petracca & Sharp → Houston, Holmes & Cook ($323,500 ITB)
Feeling pretty lost this week with all the carnage. Any thoughts or better trade ideas would be appreciated.
Maybe try to squeeze Xerri in somewhere using flex.
Rozee out – fonti to defence- Xerri to flex 🙂
What was the Watkins role before the Rozee injury? Does Wines in and Rozee out mean net neutral for his role or do we expect a shift?
Halp pls
TU: Windsor to Ash
TD: Sharp to Watkins (get Ash after bye)
TU: J.Serong -> Xerri
TD: Sharp -> Daicos
Ideally prefer not to trade Serong yet, but he’s only option to get Xerri.
Who to trade out:
TU: Sharp
TD: Lombard
Comment: Carroll or Dovaston
Who to trade in:
TU: Cook
TD: Watkins
Comment: Duursma or CDT
Is J.Lindsay to Bo Allan a trade worth doing for a boost?
Using a boost out of necessity, cashing up for next week.
Rozee > Stewart
Annable > Bruhn
Petracca > Cook
630k ITB
Out: Darcy Cameron, Petracca & Rozee
IN: Xerri, Duff-Tyler & Jackson
$340k ITB to bring in a premo next week
TU: Good moves
TD: No good

FWD rookie options:
TU: Cooper Duff-Tyler (run/fwd)
TD: Cook (mid/fwd)

Is a boost for Sharp to Watkins worth it??
