Off topic but going to need CD to start releasing how they score each game because some of the scoring this season has been realllllllly weird
I’m not suggesting it , but with bookies running DT/SC points markets, surely there is oversight on CD game calling teams?

Yep, example is Neale was 1.85 to score over 100 Dt points last Thurs. I’m not a gambler.If a game caller tags a long kick to a contest which spills off the pack as ineffectual or if it’s a contested mark by the oppo and it’s tagged a turnover, because of a betting interest of the caller. Would people agree that that’s point shaving( as it’s called in the states) which is why I’m wondering about oversight of cd…

Usually I’m against trading premiums, however the role is the concerning factor for mine. Has he bleed too much cash already?

Players cannot get TPP and as far as I’m aware, cannot get an existing position removed or changed to something else. Can only add a position to a single position player to make them a DPP player

Yeah, he’s now adapted his game to Sydney’s sharp ball movement and corridor style.
Would probably stretch to Stewart/Dawson though. Even Day at 50k less.
My problem is I chased points and brought in Hayden Young for Stewart after rd 1, so I can’t justify going back to Stewart at the cost of 2 trades and -$40k or so. Already got Dawson. Day looking like he might be suspended so do Lloyd or Redman work as prospects?
Might be my first week with no trades since R1.
All rookies still have negative/low BEs and need another week minimum. Davey might be injured (shoulder then ankle late) so could potentially move to van Rooyen, although Ben Brown to come back and didn’t light it up over the weekend. Line also through Brockman and Williams probably won’t keep DBJ out LT.
Question becomes Neale. Paid top dollar for him and been absolutely murdered. No accumulation, no speed, no signature game altering dominance. Terrible. What’s frustrating though is he’s still flat tonning and has North this week.
Tempted to make him my favourite non-Eagles player in Miller. Would also be considering Warner but still not back on a full CBA load and don’t love his regressive start.
So, yeah, probably no trades. Mulling Miller.

Defence is a little light this week but DPP will fix that next week.
Could go to lesser premiums and save the boost but too risky for me this early
Maybe try trade Cameron out, move taranto to fwd line and get a premo mid in (either directly or with an additional downgrade). If you’re feeling up for it, could also consider trading out Neale and/or setterfield to other premos

Agree Wilmot and Davey seem to be the 2 of the popular rookies who could go.

T. Young is the only one im considering for Chesser but even that I’m not sure on his JS. Setterfield and Hayden Young could be upgraded to either Taranto OR Daicos respectively, though even that I don’t see any urgency given Daicos is close to maxing out $$ wise
An extra def. is about all you need at this stage. Otherwise solid team.

Feeling a bit smug about my trades this week.
Sheed and Callaghan for Stewart and Van Rooyen.
I know I could not trade and points on field won’t vary too much. (Sheed + Callaghan = 150. Stewart + Bruce = 160). But it feels really good to bring in a premo.
Hope that the cash gen of DVR versus Callaghan and Sheed is about the same also.
I also saw the comment about DVR potentially getting ruck DPP. If that’s true and he holds his spot, then it gives me the chance to cash in Rat at R3 in a few weeks and have DVR move up to R3. I know Ryan might be a better possibility but I have missed his price rise and now don’t have enough cash for the trade.
Yeah I know this is a bit of a bragging post (apologies for that) but you gotta take the joy in this game when you can find it. We all know it can quickly slap you down.

If Constable gets up there’s a chance you could hold Doc a week and then trade him to Forward when the Dpps happen. Cogs will be Sub $500k at this rate.
Lots of punters praying for one more game from Constable. Can hold him as long as another warm body on the def/mid bench to cover him. Thought Cowan and Hollands might be under pressure this week with Walsh/Acres, but Doch means more of a chance for them to stay.
Do dpp changes happen before or after R6 ??
After Round 5 I believe, so you should be able to move them going into Round 6.

Redman probably has more upside but his floor is a real worry.
Lloyd looks to be more consistent this year, saying that I’m not sure he has a huge ceiling with guys like Blakley and Florent getting more ball. I would look at Day and take the extra cash if he is cleared to play.

I think Ryan to Ridley is a little to sideways. I’m not sure Ryan keeps up this scoring so maybe wait a week or two and try and get in a Sicily or Sinclair ( both have high BE’s ) for Ridley.

No idea whats sensible. I have 28 remaining including 3 boosts.
Look at how many promo spots you have left to fill, then double that as most likely have to go one up one down to get premos in then add 5/6 trades for injuries and you will have how many trades you should need

Option one saves a boost and gets a top 6 defender.
Option 2 gets me 2 top 10 mids but means I will have to field either Wilmot or Cowan for one week until I shift Sheezel to defence.

Nah hold. Essendon’s def has a few too many players but he’ll average 90+ and won’t lose money.
It’s not fun watching teams get away but your better off accepting you have a solid D6 and not sideswapping premiums.

I feel you, a Ridley to a Stewart looks so good right now but I feel with cows ripening up soon, the more money in the bank for that period the better. And I still have hope he can bump up his scores haha…

Midprice madness doesn’t make much sense mid season as it 2 trades. One to trade him in and 1 to trade him out for a real premium.
You always want to maintain the value of a trade. So you should get 150k trading to Kozzie if he’s a rookie and you should make 150k after trading him out.
At his price that doesn’t work so you’re picking him as an underpriced premium. A premium for 360k is great value. But there’s a reason he’s 360k it’s a very risky pick
