Interested to hear what people think will happen with Xerri. He’s been a mainstay in my team – but I can imagine the AFL making a statement and giving him a fair few weeks on the couch. You can’t be putting your blood on someone’s face.
I’ve got Gawn in my flex, English & Xerri in ruck with mcandrew R3. Regardless how long Xerri gets should I just keep him on bench the whole time or trade to Jackson?
The mid prices you listed have all gone up in value. Bruhn & Reid are better than their scores this week.
I have Bruhn & Reid and hope they can average 80-90 with the view to holding them for another 3-4 weeks until I plan to trade a mid pricer & fattened Rookie to a premium and a hopefully new rookies on the bubble.
Xerri Jackson and mcandrew at flex is my current line up
Xerri to bont is my set trade
Doing this by going –
Xerri to steene
Parish to bont
Left with 344k
My 3rd trade and I know there is still meat on the bone with bruhn but I could go
T/U bruhn to Baz or Holmes
T/D save the trade and the boost having already used 1 and next week go Windsor to nas or ash
My comment back is a couple comments down. Could also skip steene for now and bring in reeves and still go parish to Bont with 220k left and not use a boost this week
On your first comment it doesn’t have to be Phillipou it could be dovaston on my bench
I’ll only keep Xerri if it’s 2 or less anymore than that it’s a trade. Losing too many premium points on field. If it is 2 weeks there is no way I will be able to get Bont
The bombers have the dogs this week and they will take a lot of the sc points. Doubt parish even gets his breakeven then they have Gc in a few weeks most likely the same thing he won’t score many. Hopefully for everyone who stays with him he gives some good scores out but with the bombers being as bad as they are I’m out of this pick.
I think the suggestion earlier is that you can just swap Xerri to Flex instead of McAndrew and then you can trade Xerri to Bont without messing around with other rucks
My thinking is we may have a decent crop of rookies next week on the bubble. I am already planning on upgrading the likes of Parish and possibly Houston. Feel like some of us may need to consider grabbing one of the rookies early?
So what happens next week if I have to deal with Houston, Windsor and Parish plus look at bringing in a few bubble boys that all look good? Sometimes you have to take a risk in this game to get ahead. Not to mention if there’s any more carnage that comes our way.
which midfeild rookie should i downgrade young too?
also, any thoughts on parker from north, all north backmen seem to do well, and he looks solid out on the feild
Great take on this! while part of me wants to go for a bont, the devil inside says take a risk and hope he can average 120+, which would be a steal for midfeilder. Thanks for the intake.
now ive just got to find a rookie to down grade young to!
filling xerris position and got plenty of cash, my main question is who is more likely to have a down game and become attainable sooner, currently leaning towards gawn due to the bont being a midfielder and thus taggable if everything goes perfectly
tu: bontempelli
td: gawn
Hi all,
lot of head scratching…sitting 286,,,
For Parish will make no cash
TU Duursma plus 47K
TD Lukosious plus 57K
next week bring in Steene..
Thanks
he isn’t the worst. but like most key forwards they will be up and down. for about the same price you can get darcy.
key forwards are like rucks, you can tell who their match up will be against and can plan for it.
Treacy has had Melbourne and Richmods last two, they don’t have a massive key defender like other teams.
Treacy will always get the opponents best tall defender.
His next games are against Adelaide (Worrell or Butts), Collingwood (Moore/Frampton), Eagles (Ginbey), Carlton (Weitering), Dogs (Lobb), Hawks (Battle or Barrass)
except for Eagles, the rest look tough, inlcluding Wilkie and Andrews in weeks 11 & 12.
I’d be looking at Darcy in a few weeks when he has dropped in price
Hey 🙂
Is Darcy Cameron a trade out if I have the luxury?
183 BE sitting at $550kish
Do I pull the trigger while I can? Has Fort, LJ, Pinno then Essendon…. I’m torn. He is pretty good on his day but the inclusion of Steen really limited his output. Surely the pies continue with the 2 rucks.
TU – Trade to LJ – 30% owned or English – 45%
TD – Hold him , he is top 4 ruck this year
Reckon we sometimes spend too much time looking back……nothing we can do about that. The only question to answer with Xerri, is what is the best thing for you to do moving forward.
If you are playing for leagues & have McAndrew as cover at R3, and as long as Adelaide don’t name Riley O’Brien as a second ruck this week, then you can definitely hold Xerri for the 3 weeks
Especially this week as it is still best 18 scorers
This is what I am doing, and think the big fella will come back revved up.
Just a shame that he is missing so many juicy match ups!!
However, if you are going for overall ranking & you have no McAndrew as cover for the next weeks, then sadly it is a trade IMO
this is a tough one, and it depends on what you will do with him.
if its a downgrade to a rookie to bank cash and secure good cash generation its a trade. This time of year it’s all about cash generation, and with the last week of best 18 it won’t hurt having an extra rookie instead of Parish (won’t be much of a point difference), its a trade. grab a rookie on the bubble and bank cash for an upgrade next week.
if it is (like me) have $400k in bank after trading out Rozee and Patracca last week, so its an easy upgrade to a premium, its a trade. Best 18 this week and having another premium score included is gold in the bye rounds. the only thing to consider, if we wait a week and see if there is a premium that might be cheaper, but at 3 weeks into the year, there aren’t any obvious bargins to be getting, yet.
I’m in the Trade camp at the moment.
Parish to Bont (even though i’m not happy with paying $700k for him)
Comment:
TU: Use the boost, do both trades
TD: Hold Xerri for 3 weeks, fielding Philipou instead via K.White and flex, go Parish, Sharp -> Lindsay, Bont
Think I know what the answer will be. Fonti should make more cash than Parish, but Fonti is on the bye this week, so will only have 20 on field if I trade out Parish.
Go early on Steene to fund Rankine->Gawn which helps cover holding Xerri? Would rather get Rankine later at a guaranteed discount than pay full price for Xerri again
TU: Break TWO SC rules
TD: Don’t get Gawn in for the rest of the season
Shai Bolton seems to be one of those up and down, hot and cold players. Also others have pointed out that his midfield time and scoring potential may be impacted when Young comes back. So possibly a higher ceiling but also a much lower floor. Duursma might be a safer option?
Getting frustrated with Parish. Can see Scott bringing in Tsatas or Roberts and giving them midfield minutes and CBAs at Parish’s expense soon if he doesn’t improve. Injury history also makes me worried and I already have Bruhn and Windsor.
Should I…
T/U: Trade Parish down to Duursma and bank $90K in cash (missed out on Duursma’s +$60K spike) and bank on Duursma to hold an 80+ average.
Mattaes Phillipou -> Jack Lukosius
Stephen Coniglio -> Marcus Bontempelli
Todd Marshall -> Chris Scerri
I know it’s still early days but I’m thinking Pou was a mistake…
Had to downgrade Petracca already so FWD is fairly bare bones in terms of premo/mid pricers with just Sheezel and Sam Flanders.
Lukosius brings a better average and probably a good price rise also along with Scerri on the bubble.
Todd Marshall won’t be playing this week and maybe next week also as of about 2 hours ago: https://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/1985431/reeves-on-team-review-injuries-and-player-focus
This should leave me with about 276k for next week to maybe upgrade Blakiston to Tom Stewart. I won’t be able to afford a Sinclair or Ash etc right now.
This would be my second boost for the year already.
TU: go for it YOLO
TD: don’t boost for this but still ok to get Bont and maybe 1 other trade
Parish and Phillipou to Scerri and Bont (only way I can get up to Bont).
Or just the one trade of Parish to T.Miller due to his DPP status to bolster the forward line?
I have Anderson, Sheezel and Butters already so it’ll mean 4 premiums on the round 12 bye (with plans to get Petracca in after the bye).
If I get Bont I have to sacrifice Pou early for a questionable JS of Scerri and I’ll have 5 premos or in the round 16 bye.
Current line-up: Gawn (R1), Xerri (R2), Mitch Edwards (don’t look at me like that)(R3), McAndrew (Flex).
Am keeping Xerri, fixing rookies.
TU: Edwards (no, seriously, don’t, please) out; Ned Reeves to sit at R2 and make quick dollarydoos until Xerri returns triumphant.
TD: It’s not too late to get Duursma and Watkins. Just do Edwards (c’mon guys) to Steene next week.
TU. Ruck Stability. Routine Xerri swap to Gawn or English and then Parish to a Mid premo as I have a 297k war chest. Already have Bont, Butters, Naicos and Richards so would probably be Smith or Serong.
Alternatively
TD. Go all in mids. McAndrew from Flex to R2. Then get Smith and Serong in mids. Cook to Flex. Problem with this is I then have 2 good rookie non playing mids and weak R2 and ZZ as R3.
Currently leaning towards Mids option only cause it feels more exciting. Bye this week and then hopefully some fattening of rooks and DPP in a few weeks. Will then strengthen ruck once McAndrew fattens.
My favourite SuperCoach tip I ever heard is that it’s meant to be a fun game so if you prefer the team look with the mid only look, then go for it and have the fun (even though I voted the other option)
Seems like most are trading out Xerri and Parish this week, but why does two mids (Bont/Holmes mostly) seem like the popular option compared to Bont + a Premium Ruck? Is it purely a value play due to the high BEs of the the premium rucks at the moment? Do people want to bring Xerri back after his suspension and a price drop with the low score in his system?
Currently have Gawn/McAndrew/ZZ:
TU: Bont + Holmes/Smith (Xerri back later)
TD: Bont + Jackson/Grundy (Rd16 Bye for English is messy)
I went early on Milera because of the disposal effienecy and hasnt paid off at all. Looking at his 170 BE and thinking that a trade is almost certain this round just worried about him showing up tho. Was thinking of bringing in Jase Burgoyne thoughts?
i traded him last week. if i had know that, i probably would have held. we had already factored one week for his bye, this week is best 18, so i would have re-assessed next week.
Currently thinking of going X to Jackson and then Parish to another mid. I have 671k itb and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of who to get in? I currently have Bont, Butters, Naicos and Holmes as my premiums.
Bailey Smith would be a good in. If you’re looking to save a bit of cash, Touk Miller and Caleb Serong could be good options. If you’re having a hard time splitting them, who works best for the later bye rounds?
Trading out Parish.
I need some mid/fwd swing and want to spend about $100K.
Who might be the best bet out of T.Kelly, S Bolton or Z Bailey?
Or someone else who might become a F6 to F8.
So after 2 yrs out and only three games played you think a mid priced fallen premo player is at his peak? I don’t have him, wouldn’t have had him with this years rookie and injury mid options. But if I did have a player like him with premo keeper upside I wouldn’t can him after 3 weeks!
in the midfield, he wasn’t ever going to be a keeper, always there as a player to make some cash. With his last two scores of 67, his cash has stalled, and it won’t be happening for a few weeks, even if he has a couple of nice scores now. we were hoping he could have had a few 95+ scores to follow the one in round 1 and quickly get to $400+
i would normally hold him, but he is my ticket to Bont this week.
i wouldn’t sideways him to a kelly/Bolton/Bailey though.
It’s a tough one man, you want your players to make at least 150k to be successful, if he averages 75 he will only make about 100k until round 10/11. SO if you think he can go 85-90 then go for it.
i would just stick to the one trade. i’m hopefull Windsor will have a few nice scores, his fantasy points were good last week, just needs to inprove his efficiency
Hey guys,
I’m in a dilema!
Seriously considering going the following 2 Trades:
TDK -> Reeves (I need to make this trade to unlock $ for the 2nd trade)
Parish -> BONT
So i’m going against the grain this week and giving Parish another week. Instead my first trade will be: Carroll > Bont.
Given Sharp is likely to return this week, should I hold him for one more week or trade to someone like Scerri/Lukosius/Steene before they go up in value?
Does news of ROB possibly returning to the crows spook Xerri traders who were going to grab a Flex midfielder instead of a premium ruck? Taking into account that I’ve already got Gawn, and Bont will come in anyway:
TU: No, have faith in McAndrew, grab Holmes while he’s cheap
TD: Grab a premium ruck for safety, despite their high BEs
Regretably (and in a Rush) I had traded Gulden to Rankine a couple of weeks ago..
I’m now facing a $50k haircut after this week, am I better off trading out Rankine now to either Darcy, Bolton, Pickett or try and go down to Rochelle to unlock some $
Should I trade Rankine now? (and potetially get him again once he bottoms out?)
I’ve been tossing up bringing in Darcy this week. He had a slow start to year (injury effected) but he looks fit now and has the dons this week (kicks minimum 50 snags!). Hoping that he uses that as a platform to consistently score well in a pretty strong dogs team for the rest of the season… and honestly, the other fwd options atm are pretty ordinary
I’m in the same boat mate, he was my Gulden fix too (oops!). After a week of thought, I’m going to hold. Mainly because I must get a forward if I trade him and I’m not liking either of the top options in Kozzie (low floor) or Rachele (probably splits CBAs with Rankine anyway). Even if he loses 100k, I think I’d rather hold and hope for a good game or two before a “sideways” to Petracca. If he comes good then I have a bonus forward and have saved a couple trades.
Interested to hear what people think will happen with Xerri. He’s been a mainstay in my team – but I can imagine the AFL making a statement and giving him a fair few weeks on the couch. You can’t be putting your blood on someone’s face.
Only just traded him in. With McAndrew there I feel like it will be a hold. I reckon he could get 2-3 weeks though
Any must haves this week? I’m a little lost on what to do
Fark where do I start
Parish, xerri, Blakiston, Windsor, Houston
You hold windsor and houston of that lot. Windsor scored 96AF today and houston had the role just a down game
Agree. He started poor but got better as Melbourne came home good.
Great Fantasy score this week and hopefully a nice spike SC just around the corner
Tu: ZZ in R3 and field McAndrew in flex
Td: Jake Rogers in flex and McAndrew R3
My trades this week
Out Parish,Trac
In Bolton,Bont
As soon as Young is back, Bolton will lose his midfield role
Talk at freo is with young injury risk they may play him somewhere else to avoid further injuries
Who would you bring in as a fwd “premium” … looks pretty bare
Apart from Sheezel & Flanders (who I presume you already have), think Miers will be solid – and also possibly McInerny & Sam Darcy
Or you could maybe wait a week or two – & then you might be able to get someone like Touk Miller or JHF if they get MID / FWD eligibility
Brett
I’d wait a week as Miller will get FWD and whilst Petrecca out will get mid time
I’m bringing in this week for Parish
Good luck
Hey guys
I’ve got Gawn in my flex, English & Xerri in ruck with mcandrew R3. Regardless how long Xerri gets should I just keep him on bench the whole time or trade to Jackson?
tradw to jackson
Im using the boost and trading out xerri and bont
im getting loyd meek and parish
900k remaining
TU YES
TD NO
Treloar?
I can hear his hammy ping already
I usually rely on the crowd to tell me who the must-haves are, but as some early reactions:
I’d imagine you’d have to be considering Jack Lukosius this week? BE of -62, plays Richmond…
Oscar Steene might be a nice little downgrade from McAndrew after this week if he keeps up his scoring.
I’ll need to get in Jack Watkins, although happy I faded for Duursma last week.
Hugh Bond as a defender looks like a sensible bubble pick.
Any others?
McAndrew is R1 and going 400k. Absolutely no reason you would think of moving him out.
At his team:)
Fair take Mark! I stand corrected – much better option to bring him in as a FWD
Steene is Fwd/Ruck. You don’t need to move McAndrew to get him.
McAndrew’s value should continue to rise. Hold onto McAndrew till his value maximises.
Watkins already had a price rise and JS not great. I had him traded in, but reversed.
I was hoping a better score from both Jones and Scerri, they are next best options
Feel like I may need to go early on one of the rookies this week as next week I am anticipating using a boost.
Which is the best rookie to grab early?
Dan Houston…
TU: Do the sensible thing and give him another week and look to pivot to one of the defenders off their bye next week
TD: Straight swap to McKercher this week who seems to have the role we all wanted
If you have the bucks Parker looks like a keeper to me…
yes, all north backmen do well, and he has a solid position this year. Just look at sheezle
If you traded in Houston because of 2 good weeks, then trading him out because mckercher had a good week, you’ll run out of trades in no time.
Mid prices are a failure – Using a boost this week
Bruhn, Riccardi, M.Reid > Bont, Baz and Rogers on the bubble
TU – Hell yeah, 2 best players in
TD – No, reassess
The mid prices you listed have all gone up in value. Bruhn & Reid are better than their scores this week.
I have Bruhn & Reid and hope they can average 80-90 with the view to holding them for another 3-4 weeks until I plan to trade a mid pricer & fattened Rookie to a premium and a hopefully new rookies on the bubble.
Reid’s BE scares me a bit. Haydo to come back maybe. Lots of things might chance come Thursday.
Bruhn got injured early and never recovered. Reid had 23 touches
There is a chance Bruhn will get DPP. Nice D6 if he can get it
Derek
I heard it’s a NO but let’s hope you’re correct
Hold xerri if its 3+ and running mcandrew at r3?
Tu: no – too much money on bench
Td: yes – save trade
Depends on what you’re playing for. If it’s 2+ weeks and you’re playing for rank, it’s basically a must trade imo.
3*
Choice out of one of these forwards.
TU Bolton
TD Kelly
Comment Pickett
Or Bailey
have you thought about Miers? Owned by 1.8%
Xerri Jackson and mcandrew at flex is my current line up
Xerri to bont is my set trade
Doing this by going –
Xerri to steene
Parish to bont
Left with 344k
My 3rd trade and I know there is still meat on the bone with bruhn but I could go
T/U bruhn to Baz or Holmes
T/D save the trade and the boost having already used 1 and next week go Windsor to nas or ash
Or my other option for 3rd trade is Phillipou to Bolton. Thumbs up for this if it’s the preferred option
Phillipou has decent cash to make. Good scores will come
Can’t you just put Xerri to flex and trade to Bont?
Hold Parish, wait for a decent spike score.
My comment back is a couple comments down. Could also skip steene for now and bring in reeves and still go parish to Bont with 220k left and not use a boost this week
the game just started have some patients with your choices trades will be gold in September
Out: Lombard, Rozee
In: Pickett, J. Daicos
Yea I can do that but I’m keen to offload parish would even rather bring in W.Duursma
Parish has to go either to a premium or a rookie. hard to sideways during the season
Who to trade out
TU: Windsor
TD: Blakiston
Blàkiston is going to see a lot of the footy in the coming weeks hold both
TU: Dovaston > Lukosias
TD: Lombard > Lukosias
Lukosias had 10 kicks and 2 handballs last game. don’t know how he scored 95. leave alone
100%, its the case with most forwards sadly
TU: Go early on Steene
TD: Scerri
My thinking is we may have a decent crop of rookies next week on the bubble. I am already planning on upgrading the likes of Parish and possibly Houston. Feel like some of us may need to consider grabbing one of the rookies early?
Thoughts appreciated!
Neither, learnt from Murdock not to go early.
So what happens next week if I have to deal with Houston, Windsor and Parish plus look at bringing in a few bubble boys that all look good? Sometimes you have to take a risk in this game to get ahead. Not to mention if there’s any more carnage that comes our way.
you wouldn’t be trading out Houston after one bad score?
Windsor is starting to look ok. had 96 fantasy points, with 24 disposals. It was his 50% efficiency that hurt his SC score. he should be ok.
Parish is struggling, along with the whole team. there next 7 games are not good. he probably needs to go if you need cash
I get what you’re saying, however there is a scenario where they all need to go next week. I will give them all another week to have a look.
Nick – if there is some good rooks coming the next week, then I don’t mind going 1 week early every now & then
But it is obviously risky due to the player getting injured or dropped – and then you get no price increase
Having said that, we could have 3 to 4 x good rooks next week (including Murdock from WCE if he returns from injury)
So I wouldn’t be against you taking someone like Oscar Steene ($119,900 RUCK / FWD) 1 week early
Worst case, you can swap him to the ruck bench when McAndrew is maxxed out in price – and then trade McAndrew for a premium FWD or MID
After trading Young to Watkins last week plus a couple of other trades, I’m looking at the following. I currently have $405K
Sharp to Murdock (if he’s named)
Trac to Bailey
I will then have plenty of cash in the war chest to upgrade in the coming weeks.
Good move T/U
Nah back to the drawing board, mate T/D
Only trade this week is upgrade of Parish
T/U – N Daicos
T/D – Gawn or Grundy
Can’t afford Bont, comment if you think anyone else.
Cheers
TU: Parish to Bont (Blakiston to Ash next week)
TD: Blakiston to Jaicos
I am trading out Parish and Xerri (Like a lot of us)
What would you prefer?
T/U – Gawn & McKercher
T/D – 1,162,600 to pick ONE Defender & ONE Midfielder
which midfeild rookie should i downgrade young too?
also, any thoughts on parker from north, all north backmen seem to do well, and he looks solid out on the feild
Parker is way to expensive. if he was a daniel of last year price or Ziebell of a few years ago, great. but at $500+ he too costly
Great take on this! while part of me wants to go for a bont, the devil inside says take a risk and hope he can average 120+, which would be a steal for midfeilder. Thanks for the intake.
now ive just got to find a rookie to down grade young to!
I still think it’s too early for upgrades. All premiums are still near their starting price. We all know they will get cheaper.
agree Derek but if your not winning games your not playing finals catch 22
TU – J. Daicos
TD – T. Stewart
653k ITB
Windsor -> Worrell
JDG -> Lukosius / Jones
Parish -> Bont
Would still leave me with 200-300k itb depending on who I replace JDG with.
TU Good trades
TD No good mate
Who are we upgrading parish to?
I can afford anyone already have Bont, daicos and Butters
Do you really need another premium this week with still best 18, and only 2 teams on bye?
Wait a week for another price drop if you can.
Take steele or holmes…steele is still good value…holmes ang 120
i cant get petracca to the midfield who is the best option for forwards i have enough money for anyone
nic martin is best option
Is SC 2027 open ??
filling xerris position and got plenty of cash, my main question is who is more likely to have a down game and become attainable sooner, currently leaning towards gawn due to the bont being a midfielder and thus taggable if everything goes perfectly
tu: bontempelli
td: gawn
Thinking of getting rid of sheezel and bont
and trying to get some reliable players like tom green and nic martin
TU: yes im cooking
TD: im out of my mind
Trade out Gawn too via DPP for Zac Dawson and you’re set
See if you can swing Relton Roberts into the flex. I have a feeling he’ll do well there and he’s cheap as chips.
Hi all,
lot of head scratching…sitting 286,,,
For Parish will make no cash
TU Duursma plus 47K
TD Lukosious plus 57K
next week bring in Steene..
Thanks
Is Treacy worth a look for the forward line? Have Xerri in flex, so thinking Xerri > Treacy (eventually moving fwd) and use the bank elsewhere.
TU: Do it.
TD: Keep thinking.
he isn’t the worst. but like most key forwards they will be up and down. for about the same price you can get darcy.
key forwards are like rucks, you can tell who their match up will be against and can plan for it.

I’d be looking at Darcy in a few weeks when he has dropped in price
Appreciate the detailed reply, I’ll keep shopping. Or hold Xerri. Cheers Derek.
Pending how long xerri gets.
Out – xerri, cogs, Lombard
In – bont, Stewart and lukosius
T. U – yes
T.d – no
the first two trades are good. not sure you need to do lombard to Lukosius
T/u – Jordy Clark
T/d – Joshy Daicos
Clark is already in the discussion for top 6 defender, Daicos still has some work to do, but won’t be far away
Clark safe as houses mate
Parish to Tim Kelly?
401K. On the bubble. Breakeven 28.
And a Mid/Fwd.
Mad bomber here seriously considering this. Kelly looks the goods and fit. Is he a fwd keeper ???? Will he stay on the park ???
TD – Hold him , he is top 4 ruck this year
Cheers everyone
In the same boat ! Goes against sc rule or sideways trading and prems but he did not look great for scoring potential over the weekend.
Cameron is a premium Ruck, but if Steene is playing Ruck, Cameron is no longer a premium.
I think Cameron will Ruck most games, but I think McCrae will use Steene when it suits.
Cameron needs to go, because every 3-4 weeks I see him playing predominantly forward.
Trade out Blakiston
Tu Stewart
Td Josh daicos
Or hold Blakiston one more week
TU Ash
Td Whitfield
Only playing for leagues…Xerri 3 weeks out ..and only trading him in last round.hold him or give him the “bloody” flick.
Reckon we sometimes spend too much time looking back……nothing we can do about that. The only question to answer with Xerri, is what is the best thing for you to do moving forward.
Damnnn… 3 weeks for big X!
What are we thinking legends?
TU – Hold
TD – Trade
Trade
If you are playing for leagues & have McAndrew as cover at R3, and as long as Adelaide don’t name Riley O’Brien as a second ruck this week, then you can definitely hold Xerri for the 3 weeks
Especially this week as it is still best 18 scorers
This is what I am doing, and think the big fella will come back revved up.
Just a shame that he is missing so many juicy match ups!!
However, if you are going for overall ranking & you have no McAndrew as cover for the next weeks, then sadly it is a trade IMO
That would be giving up 40-60pts per round. And what if ROB comes back for Xerri week two absence ???
Still have Gulden to move.
Tu: Straight to Holmes
Rd: downgrade dovaston to Scerri so I can afford bont
Kozzie Pickett a Top 6 forward?
If not, I’d love to know the other six !!!!
Trades this week:-
Out – Xerri, Petracca, Parish
In – Gawn, S Bolton, C Serong
I already have Bont, Butters and N Daicos. But also have J Dawson. Thoughts?
TU – Yes
TD – No
Xerri and trac out
Jackson and Holmes in
Happy to hang onto houston
For me there is 4 ruckman guaranteed 110+ …im happy to take that
Languishing down near the bottom of the ladder and need to make a move so not holding Xerri for 3 weeks (even though I did just trade him in)
TU: Out – Xerri & Parish, IN – Bont & B Smith/Holmes = good choice
TD: No
Expecting a few thumbs down for these trades:
Out – Xerri, Young & Blackiston
In – Stewart, NDaicos & Parker (who i can switch to backline in 2 rounds)
Windsor > Zorko
Parish > Steene (at flex)
Steene not on bubble….remember Murdock ???
Parish to McKercher instead? Have got the cash.
Or could get Windsor down to Bond & Parish up to Zorko.
Holding Xerri and Murdock.
TU – Parish to McKercher
TD – Parish & Windsor to Zorko & Bond
What are with doing with Parish?
TU – Trade
TD – Hold
this is a tough one, and it depends on what you will do with him.
if its a downgrade to a rookie to bank cash and secure good cash generation its a trade.
Parish to Bont (even though i’m not happy with paying $700k for him)
hey guys need a bit of help
used a boost last week as i really didn’t want to use one this week and that’s where my issue stands
my trades are either
Out – Xerri, Parish, In – Bont and Holmes
or
Out – Xerri, Parish, Phillipou, In – Bont, Stewart, Lukosius.
my rooks are pretty much perfect so cash gen is there, don’t know if it’s worth using a boost but lukosius makes 100k in 2-3 weeks.
TU- Don’t Boost and Go Bont and Holmes
TD – Boost and Have Lukosius, Stewart, Bont
Steene not on bubble….remember Murdock ???
Darcy Cameron worth flicking for Jordan Clark, Noah Anderson or Finn Callaghan?
TU: Xerri, Parish -> Holmes, Bont
TD: Xerri, Sharp -> Lindsay, Bont
Or use a boost and do both, but used one last week and hesitant to be 2 down 3 weeks into the season
Comment:
TU: Use the boost, do both trades
TD: Hold Xerri for 3 weeks, fielding Philipou instead via K.White and flex, go Parish, Sharp -> Lindsay, Bont
TU – Daicos
TD – Holmes
Parish+Big X>El Bont+NickyD
Easiest trades ever! 🙂
Who is a good downgrade for Parish? I could do that and bank the cash . Is Murdock back?
I’m thinking of downgrading parish and upgrading Windsor to Clark?
can you just go Parish to Clark (if you have Grij in defence)?
Could do, not a bad shout
TU – Blakiston, Parish, Xerri > J Clark, Stewart, Bont (boosting again)
TD – This is your third boost in 3 weeks, slow down loser
Trade Bruhn early to get Parish up to Holmes?
Xerri > LDU
TU: Do it
TD: Mmmm nah
Or Serong?
Who to trade for Bond?
TU: Parish
TD: Fonti
Think I know what the answer will be. Fonti should make more cash than Parish, but Fonti is on the bye this week, so will only have 20 on field if I trade out Parish.
Only need 18 this week. 10 is fine.
TU: Trade Washcroft up to Nanderson
TD: Stick with Ashcroft
Go early on Steene to fund Rankine->Gawn which helps cover holding Xerri? Would rather get Rankine later at a guaranteed discount than pay full price for Xerri again
TU: Break TWO SC rules
TD: Don’t get Gawn in for the rest of the season
Xerri will drop in price from his 68 so will get him much cheaper in a few weeks
Get X back in around four weeks when the price bottoms out.
Xerri -> Gawn
Parish -> W. Duursma
Tu – Yes
Td – No
What would you prefer?
TU – W. Duursma + 206k ITB (BE: -33)
TD – Shai Bolton (BE: 9)
Shai Bolton seems to be one of those up and down, hot and cold players.
T/D: Hold Parish and hope he comes good
Mattaes Phillipou -> Jack Lukosius
Stephen Coniglio -> Marcus Bontempelli
Todd Marshall -> Chris Scerri
Todd Marshall won’t be playing this week and maybe next week also as of about 2 hours ago:
https://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/1985431/reeves-on-team-review-injuries-and-player-focus
Comment: any thoughts welcome 🙂
Perhaps too much info…sorry
I don’t think Lulosius is worth boosting and I’m personally keeping Phillipou and Marshall
Can’t split these combos
TU Bont & Mckercher
TD Holmes & Clark/Richards
I just think that Bont is a must have…
Trading out Xerri, Carroll and Parish
TU: McKercher, Lindsay, Bont (McAndrew R2)
TD: McKercher, Reeves, Holmes (McAndrew R3)
Comment: McKercher, Duursma, Merrett/Serong/Touk (McAndrew R2)
thoughts on same Draper
Tu hold and hope he gets more ruck time
Td get rid of him before he loses $$$$
Callum Mills a top 10 defender?
Very big chance. Will be watching very close
Always injury risk I guess, but that’s footy
Other competitors are….
Sinclair
NAS
Ash
Whitfield
Clark
Rozee
J. Daicos
Stewart
Zorko
Worrell
McKercher (if role holds)
So he will probably be around that 8-12 mark in my opinion
Sicily & Blakey also in that mix that I missed
Yeah good call Marcus, thanks for that
Parish and Phillipou to Scerri and Bont (only way I can get up to Bont).
Fork in the road time.
Xerri to:
TU: Bont (already have Richards and English)
TD: Gawn
Comment: Grundy
Who best to bring in on bubble in the flex spot?
T/U N. Reeves (ruck – scores of 104 and 85 or
T/D J Lukoscious (fwd – scores of 110 and 95
Seems like most are trading out Xerri and Parish this week, but why does two mids (Bont/Holmes mostly) seem like the popular option compared to Bont + a Premium Ruck? Is it purely a value play due to the high BEs of the the premium rucks at the moment? Do people want to bring Xerri back after his suspension and a price drop with the low score in his system?
Currently have Gawn/McAndrew/ZZ:
TU: Bont + Holmes/Smith (Xerri back later)
TD: Bont + Jackson/Grundy (Rd16 Bye for English is messy)
TU: Bolton
TD: Pickett
Hi all,
TU Zac Bailey
TD McInerney
sitting about 1100,,,,
Thanks
I went early on Milera because of the disposal effienecy and hasnt paid off at all. Looking at his 170 BE and thinking that a trade is almost certain this round just worried about him showing up tho. Was thinking of bringing in Jase Burgoyne thoughts?
Also how are we liking tim kelly?
Not sure if this is the case but did T. Kelly only come good after Yeo went off injured? (Injury List shows Yeo out for 1-2 weeks.)
Kelly and H Reid high in my thoughts
How long till murdock is back
3 weeks
pity. he needs to play 1 more game before round 7 to get DPP
Derek
DPP kick in after round 5 so he’ll get it next time
TU
Out – H Young
In – W Durrsma / B Cook
Or
TD
Out – H Young & C Petracca
In – B Cook & L Jackson
Parish -> Pickett
Phillipou -> C.Jones (if named)
Trading in the Bont what do people think who is the best to bring in.
Sorry that was all wrong old age will repost.
Trading out Petracca who do i bring in thoughts cheers.
did i hear that Petracca might only be another week or two away?
AFL says 1-3. I’ve held already and FWD options are thin so gonna keep holding.
i traded him last week. if i had know that, i probably would have held. we had already factored one week for his bye, this week is best 18, so i would have re-assessed next week.
trading in: bont and duursma
trading out: xerri and parish
tu good trades
td need to rethink
it means i only have 1 spot on field for duursma, jagga, and blamires — meaning two of them will be on the bench. seems like a bit of a waste
The money they make won’t be a waste…
Should i use a boost to go lombard/dovaston –> steene
tu yes
td no
trade out
tu dovaston
td lombard
SC rule 105……only trade in rookies on the bubble…its called the “Murdock” rule.
Currently thinking of going X to Jackson and then Parish to another mid. I have 671k itb and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of who to get in? I currently have Bont, Butters, Naicos and Holmes as my premiums.
at that price you are going to pick a year long keeper. Who do you like?
First i’d be looking at the current BE of the top guys, if any are about to go up in price that you like, get them now and save some money.
Smith BE 82
Clark (def) BE 84
Stewart (def) BE 59
Smith is probably the only one there i’d look at
Then i’d be looking at the premiums with very high BE, and thinking you could hold off a few weeks and get them cheap
McCluggage BE 250
Rankine BE 207
Richards BE 168
Dawson BE 167
Heeney BE 163
Neale BE 146
Merrett BE 147
Dunkley BE 146
there are a few i have my eye on, just too early in season to get on them yet.
still focus on cash generation until it is upgrade season
And one poor game. How many would have traded out Xerri if he wasn’t suspended ???
in the midfield, he wasn’t ever going to be a keeper, always there as a player to make some cash.
Has the ship sailed with Willem Duursma??
Already gone up 66k, but still has BE of -33 and looks a genuine on field option.
TU – No, ship hasn’t sailed. Will be a good on field option and can still make some decent coin.
TD – Yes, ship has sailed not worth it now that he has already gone up 66k.
It’s a tough one man, you want your players to make at least 150k to be successful, if he averages 75 he will only make about 100k until round 10/11. SO if you think he can go 85-90 then go for it.
if he stays injury free IMO a special lad that possibly can make a further 160/200 dollars by season end
TU – Xerri, Carroll > Bont, Steene
TD – Xerri, Phillipou > Holmes, Lukosius
Tu williem duursma
Td lukosius
Does anyone know why Conigilo’s time on ground was so low at 56% ? Perhaps carrying an injury or just managing him throughout the season? Thanks
TU a proppy N. Daicos
TD Holmes
Out
Xerri parish Windsor
In
Bont w.duursma McKercher
D Cameron out.
TU: LJ
TD: Gawn
Or try to hang on for Xerri return and figure it out then.
Fine wines
I’d consider Grundy with this upcoming run
Good luck
not sure Grundy’s run is that good. sure he has eagles this week, then he has Witts, GWS is ok, but then English, Gawn and Xerri.
Grundy’s BE is 162.
i’d wait until his great run that starts in round 11
Mild corkies take five to seven days to settle.
Moderate injuries two to three weeks to return to full activity.
Will N. Daicos take the field on the six day backup?
TU yes
TD no ☹️
Majority sentiment.
Thank you.
N. Daicos is not playing
First trade I made was Parish to Bont. What do I do next?
TU: Boost to turn Windsor & Blakiston into Stewart and Bond
TD: Just trade Blakiston to Lukosius
Comment: just stick with the one trade this week
TU comment: stick with the one trade
i would just stick to the one trade. i’m hopefull Windsor will have a few nice scores, his fantasy points were good last week, just needs to inprove his efficiency
TU – Baz
TD – Anderson
Would love Baz but is him, Holmes and Bruhn in the mids too much? Alternatively could get Richards
TU: Cogs – Bont + 80K
TD: Cogs and Parish – LDU + MIller
Hehe he…3 – 3 so far, this exactly reflects my thinking…might end up using the tried and tested scientific method of flipping a coin.
Out
Xerri, Parish & Carrol
In
TU – Bont, Lukosius, McKercher
TD – NDaicos, Baz, Steene
Save the boost and hold off on Carrol to Steene
Is it worth boosting to do these trades:
Parish -> Bont
Xerri -> Gawn
JDG -> Worrell (via flex)
TU: Yes good trades
TD: Reconsider
Xerri, DCam, Parish -> Gawn, Bont, C Serong
TU: Do it
TD: Go cheaper and save some cash for later
Got a Parish sized hole in my side like many
TU: Colby this week
TD: wait for Whitfield/calla next week
Hey guys,
I’m in a dilema!
Seriously considering going the following 2 Trades:
TDK -> Reeves (I need to make this trade to unlock $ for the 2nd trade)
Parish -> BONT
TU or TD?
it looks like the Hawks 2-ruck strategy is working, so i can see it continuing, meaning Reeves JS is ok.
the only problem it is an even 50/50 split with Meek, and neither of them are ‘resting’ as a forward.
their hitouts are almost identical, but Reeves is killing it with the Hit outs to advantage with his extra height.
as long as you know the risks i don’t mind it. will easy make $100k cash
So i’m going against the grain this week and giving Parish another week. Instead my first trade will be: Carroll > Bont.
Given Sharp is likely to return this week, should I hold him for one more week or trade to someone like Scerri/Lukosius/Steene before they go up in value?
TU: Hold
TD: Trade
Get Steene next week before he goes up in value, assuming he goes ok this week.
My thoughts too – hold sharp this week and trade in Steene next week (if he scores as well as last week)
Sharp looks a good footballer, at some stage he will be given decent TOG and a spike score will come.
Agreed, hoping brad scott doesn’t ruin him!
AND, if TD and grabbing a premium ruck, and don’t like English for R16 bye:
TU: Grundy
TD: Jackson
Tu lukosius
Td Scerri
Last week’s trades were Rozee, Petracca & Sharp → Houston, Holmes & Cook
Current team before trades this week:
Def – Sinclair, Houston, McCarthy, Windsor, Jaques, Serong (Fonti, Sellwood)
Mid – Bont, Butters, Daicos, Holmes, Parish, Bruhn, Smith, Blamires (Cook, Grji, Carroll)
Ruc – Jackson, English (McAndrew)
Fwd – Sheezel, Flanders, Budarick, Phillipou, Dovaston, Lombard (Marshall, Robertson)
Flex – Lindsay
$323,500 ITB (4 Boosts)
Thinking of stand pat this week maybe downgrading Parish (not sure who to). Any thoughts or trade ideas would be appreciated
TU: Mills
TD: Sicily
I can see them both averaging around 100 for the season
OUT: Coniglio, Parish & Xerri
IN: Mckercher, Bont & Holmes
TU: Worth the boost, do it!
TD: Don’t
TU: Bolton
TD: Pickett
Comment for Darcy
Who would you trade out first?
TU – Lombard
TD – Dovaston
Looking at going one of them to Rogers
Xerri out for
TU: BAZ
TD: Jackson
Is trading Windsor to Reeves worth using a trade (still have 36)
No Xerri, Parish, Murdock or premos this week playing (Flanders, Pou, font)
Hoping to get one of Whitfield, Ash, Nas, Sinclair next two week.
Who should I keep
TU: Xerri
TD: Petracca
Comment Both
TU: Both
TD: Keep 1
Hi all,

Should I trade Parish -> W. Duursma?
