  1. If English is out do you put in Gawn or move Andrews across from the bench and get a premo mid-fielder.
T/U Gawn is a must have now
    T/D save a few $$ and get a mid-fielder.

    • I’m in the same predicament and I feel like the best play if possible is to get mcandrew to your flex, Gawn seems like he will torch you if you don’t have him, but ideally you don’t want mcandrew sitting on your bench. If you can’t get him to flex however, I would consider just chucking him at R2 and banking the cash for other upgrades

    • With Whitfield (and Ash), at least we know their role every week

McKercher loves racking up the stats, but there is no guarantee that he will play the half back role every week – which is where he clearly scores the best

  2. Currently have Gawn at R1. Is it still viable to go back and run Lmac at R2?

Need to trade English but don’t love any of the options. Grundy would be my favourite but not sure I want to pay up if I can just grab another premium from any line.

TU: Lmac at R2 is fine
    TD: Run 2 premium rucks

    • If Grundy is going to play like this all year then I think you just get him no matter what. I’m waiting for DPP likely hood to show up somewhere before I decide what to do about English. I’ve got Gawn at flex and Jackson at R1. English is my r2 and Macca pure bench. At a minimum now Macca goes to r2 but I’m for sure thinking about English for Grundy….

    • I am trading McCarthy to Coleman and banking $150k for future upgrades.

I picked McCarthy on the basis that he would get midfield minutes which he is not getting.

He is losing $’s so getting him out in preference to Windsor

  3. Got McAndrew stuck at R3.

Is it worth trading a non-playing Rookie like Sharp or Dovaston to Steene, so I can start McAndrew in the flex position.

Alternately I have Luke Jackson at R2, is he likely to receive forward line eligibility, and if so when would that happen?

  5. Kozzie Pickett anyone? $518k

Coming off the byes, no longer best 18, feel like the fwd line is looking a little weak.

Break even of 49 with ESS, RICH & WCE to come in the next 5 weeks. Feel like it’s now or pay up later on.

Has been a full time mid basically for the dees across the last couple of weeks and we can only assume the role will stick with how good he has been playing.

      • As per Derek’s point, he’s already expensive and has a history of spike scores followed by quiet periods. As a demons fan, I also know, on a very personal level, he loves to get suspended.

The fact he’s already expensive and has a history of suspension and uneven scoring makes me think I’d rather wait and see more and pay full price for him later once hes a sure thing, than burn a trade and get him for 70-80k less and potentially regret it.

  9. Looking for help. Team is starting to take shape.

Def – Sinclair, Stewart, Worrell, Short, Coleman, Serong (Jacques, Sellwood)

Mid – Daicos, Butters, Anderson, Dawson, K.Pickett, Bruhn, Smith, Grlj (Blarmires, Carroll, Sharp)

    Ruck – Gawn, Jackson (Steene)

Fwd – Sheezel, Flanders, Lukosius, Cook, Robertson, Marshall (Phillipou, Dovaston)

    Flex – McAndrew

Used 1 trade from round 5 to trade Windsor to Steene, which will allow me to field McAndrew.

May use a 2nd trade if Murdoch is playing.

Is there another Rookie I should be looking at?

    Help appreciated

his 7 this weeks puts a full stop on his cash generation, and thats the only reason i brought him in, he now has to go for either Farrow or Shoenburg

I can’t ignore Gawn anymore, he’s going to be top 3 SC player barring injury, and GWS has a friendly draw over the next few weeks so Whitfield in for Richards via DPP.

Awaiting team selection for a potential third. Although my cows still have more fattening and I’ve often gone early in previous seasons then run out of trades so trying to show restraint this year!

    • Farrow because has Def/Mid DPP. Meaning he can replace anyone in defence or midfield while also giving a swing set with Grij (if possible).

Steene can only replace either forward of Ruck, and at the moment we don’t have many that need trading out. If he sits at R3, that will need another trade to cash him out once he is fattened up (ie trade in another R3).

Farrow looks the better trade for structure, unless you have a forward or ruck that needs trading out.
