  1. looking to get out dambrosio, carrol and mcckercher. which option looks better to get in.

    TD- graham, comben, walsh

    1. I could have brought him in this week, his injury history just scares me though. On form and role you would absolutely do it…

      16

      1
      1. Not if you had him from the start of the season! If something goes ping, he’s now easy to replace at his price.

        38

        2
    2. Heard on radio this morning he was a chance of getting a week suspension for a tackle on Vlastuin. Apologies I didn’t see any of the game

      1

      2
  2. Dawson down to 517k. With a 90 average he can’t go much lower than 450k. So I’ve ridden 130k of a 200k potential drop. The 100k to get him up to a Steele or Miller is going to be pivotal in next weeks upgrades (Stewart, Petracca and English in).

T/U ride Dawson and hope he grits 90s at M8, upgrade around him and flick him at his bye to a 120 premium.

T/D Cut your losses, accept he is cooked like Steele and Cripps in previous years, likely carrying a hidden injury and spending large chunks forward. Sacrifice the 100k, trade and upgrade somewhere else and just get a must have premium 120 premium mid.

    1. Make him your last mid trade. He can’t go worse surely ? The role is there, the disposals are decent, it’s just the clangers and the Crows playing badly. If you trade him out, you are cancelling the cash gen from a rookie cow, and if he turns his form around , you’ll kick yourself.
Then I am not an owner

      12

      2
    2. I’m exactly the same as you TrooRoo…and to think before the season started, a coin toss decided between him and Serong >.< ah well. I'm going to ride him some more yet, he will likely be my last trade as my M8 by then. Hopefully he can grind somewhere near 90 in the meantime so I can follow my current plan of upgrades

      1. I am trading Jackson to The Bont after round 6.

At that time Darcy should get DPP and be my ruck coverage

So hopefully Jackson doss not drop too much in value this week although the break even for the Bont will be very high as well.

      1. depends if Carroll is in concussion protocols (haven’t heard anything about this?) and how they go about replacing McGovern and Saad

        1

        1
  3. Need to go early on bringing in a cheap rookie
    TU: Nyuon
    TD: Drury
Not sure if either have any selection security

    28

    4
    1. Nyuon more likely to see the ball as he was playing as a key defender. Drury was in the forward line and kicked 2 goals.

Drury probably has less JS than Nyuon as Nyuon replaced Dawson, who they said was injured but unsure how long for.
Only Dawson and Pink look likely to replace him as Logue is out for the season and they need a key backman.

  4. I get the third member of the Suns triumvirate this week

Sanders and McKercher go out, thank you for your service
    Miller and Clohesy come in

I now have 5 Gold Coast players – too many? I don’t care.

    12

    10
  5. I can bring in any 1 player this week for an upgrade. Any suggestions? Most likely thinking Ryan.

    16

    2
  6. I want Walsh – but I kinda want Comben too ( I also got Graham. Yes I’m boosting )

Either of these get me there.

Sexton to Nyuon – thumbs up

Cadman to Comben – thumbs down

    31

    11
  7. Am going to do 3 trades this week as i want to bring in graham and clohesy.

TU – Howes, Mckercher, Fisher – Clohesy, graham, Heeney
TD – Howes, Mckercher, Sanders – Clohesy, graham, Walsh

Or let me know if there are better options.

  8. Please help, I have 42 sons that I care for equally, but my husband has decided that some of the older boys need to move out.
Tu: Have a special dinner for Caleb, Jack,Riley in the hope that Luke will see that they have value around the kennel
Td: side with the rest of the boys and ask him to move out…

  9. Currently ranked in the top 1%
Used 2 boosts so far to this point.

    Thinking:
    Colby > Grahm
    Caroll > Comben (via dpp)

Should I use my 3rd boost to do the following?
    Sanders > Sam Walsh

    1. It never ceases to amaze me when someone ranked in the top one percent ask advice of the masses floundering around down below them.

      21

    1. Depends.

If you’re happy to pause, do a rookie reset and get some cash in, then sure. Swapping a dead/dying rookie for him would be strong.

If you think it’s best to forge ahead with an upgrade (which I do), then you can pass.

Drury, Nyuon and even Garcia are there to go early on – assuming you’ve grabbed Clohesy and Graham.

For me, I think Comben is secure and makes money but don’t like how it doesn’t put any money ITB.

      11

      0
      1. That lack of cash from the downgrade is a real issue for me. Can have $1k after trades if Comben comes in or $104k if Nyuon is the target. Think I’ll be mulling it over all week

        5

  10. Finally doing Flanders this week.

In terms of premos/non-rookies it gives me:

DEF [4]: Ryan, Sheez, Daicos & Young

MID [5]: Bont, Butters, Green, Rowell & Gulden

    RUC [2]: Tingles & Xerri

FWD [4]: Heeney, Jackson, Flanders & Powell

    From there I’ll go:

    DEF: Houston & Sinclair.

    MID: Racca, Serong & Steele/Libba.

    RUC: RoMo.

    FWD: who tf knows.

  11. Mckercher To Graham was locked in straight away but I have Max King who I brought in for Jordon a couple of weeks ago cause his break even was so low. Made me some cash but a 9 kinda stops that happening so I want to move him on and I’m $40k short to get him to Marshall so who does King go for?

    TU: L Meek
TD: boost to get the extra cash and grab Marshall

    Comment: boost options

  12. Would you trade T Powell and Dempsey OUT just to get in Ryan and a 123k fwd ?. I have already used 4 boosts and want to save my last one

    TU OR TD

    3

  13. T/U Howes/McKercher/Windsor > Graham/Flanders/Clohesy $8.2k
    T/D DAM/Howes/McKercher > Clohesy/Graham/Sheezel $30.7k

    9

  14. Would you trade T Powell and Dempsey OUT just to get in Ryan and Biggy OR
Whitfield and Sexton OUT for Ryan and Biggy

I have already used 4 boosts and want to save my last one

    3

    13
  15. TU:
    Colby > Comben (via dpp)
    Sanders > Walsh

    TD:
    Cadman > Nyuon
    Colby > Walsh
    (2nd option means no comben)

    2

    11
  16. T/U – Double Downgrade
McKerch & Clark to Clohsey & Graham

    T/D – Boost in a premo

McKerch, Clark & Sanders to Clohsey, Graham & Touk

Sanders could have another $50k to make by the BYE but there is an opportunity cost on delaying my upgrade cycle

I’ll have cash to burn after RD6 as I’m running all three of Gawn, Grundy & Meek over these two bye rounds, so one will go as a downgrade (most likely Nyuon) with the other to end up as English once he bottoms out

  17. Time to use my banked up cash.
Over Dawson. Should have done it weeks ago but time to bite the bullet. The way he’s going he ain’t even m8 worthy. Losing to many points a week because of him.

    Outs: Dawson, mckercher, carrol
    Ins : touk, Walsh, graham

    What we reckon?

    31

  18. To correct one of the rage trades earlier, and can only bring in one of them now.

    TU: Hayden Young
    TD: Nick Martin

    15

    17
  19. Absolute rookie carnage this week! And still have Dawson the spud. Moving Young over him in R3 killing me.

    Mckercher – Graham no brainer

    What to do next.

    TU – Carroll + Fyfe – Nyuon + Heeney
    TD – Carroll + Clark – Nyoun + Powell

I know Heeney is obviously miles ahead of Powell, but means I lose Fyfe early and get stuck with Clark.

    14

    3
  20. Running best 18 again this week so will hold on Mckercher. Unfortunately Dawson has to go, not looking like the bull he was last year and can’t find time and space so most of his disposals aren’t clean. Cashing in on him and Hogan for
N Daicos and Comden, leaves me 220k for Walsh when he is on the bubble.

    6

  21. Have enough money to get any midfielder

T/U Pick one of Merrett, Green, Rowell or Gulden etc

T/D Pick Miller and have enough to go Sanders to Zorko next week to strengthen my forwards

    1

    23
  22. TU – Windsor, McKercher & Sexton to Graham, Walsh & Nyuon
TD – McKercher, L.Jackson & Sexton to Comben, Graham & Walsh

In a tricky rookie situation with Duursma and J. Clark both likely to lose cash in coming weeks and non-scoring players. Any other recs appreciated

  23. Jezza Cameron!

With a dearth of clear SC FWD options this season … Could he be a top 6 FWD?

T/U Yes cause he can go big!
T/D Another key FWD tempter where his floor is just too low 🙁

    1. Cats have had a piss easy run so far.

Now they get Lions, Blues, Dees, Port, Suns and Giants.

      Wouldn’t bother.

      1. Fair enough GD. Surprised no love for J.Cameron but class player all the same!

A def watch on Raynor and Rankine but. Both had more mid field time on the wkend and both went large accordingly.

  24. Ranked in the top 1%

    This week:
    Colby > Grahm
    Carroll > Nyuon
    Cadman > Flanders

Leaves me money for next week:
Massimo > Rookie (depending who performs)
    Sanders > Walsh

With this option I am passing up on comben.
    Thoughts appreciated!

  25. McKercher->Graham
    Clark -> Nyuon
Use a boost for Sanders-> Walsh?

    TU: Use the boost
TD: Sit a week, no rush

  26. D: Ryan, Sheezel, Daicos, Massimo, Williams, Chlohesy (Howes, Reid)
M: Bont, Butters, Green, Serong, Miller, Roberts, Sanders, McKercher (Sharp, Carroll, Clark)
    R: Jackson, Grundy (Livingstone)
F: Heeney, Flanders, Powell, Reid, Dempsey, Darcy (Cadman, Wilson)
    ITB: 96.8k

My thoughts for this week are:
    OUT: Clark and McKercher
    IN: Graham and Comben

    Next week:
    OUT: Sanders and Carroll
    IN: Walsh and Nyoun/Drury

  28. Hi all,
    Have both Libba and Crouch,
Should I trade one to get Walsh ???
TU Keep both get Walsh next week through sanders mckercher
    TD trade one
    Thanks Tony

    16

    1
    1. Libba has top 8 claims, Crouch doesn’t. Is there anyone else you can grab for Crouch? Butters, Steele, Merrett, Rowell?

      4

    2. Apparently Libba will be managed medical reasons in Rd 6, from when he fell to the ground last game.

  29. OR around the 800 mark, aggressive without taking massive risks thus far.

Tu) Cadman, Sanders, McKercher -> Nyoun, Graham, Rowell
(Next week, flog off Carroll + Burgess / Clark)

Td) Clark + McKercher -> Comben, Graham

    7

  30. I usually try and wait until a rookie has made at least 150K before trading them out and at the moment that means only Sharp and Roberts in my team fit the criteria with Cadman not far behind.
Both Roberts and Sharp obviously still have money to make so….
Do I pull the trigger on them now because upgrading quickly is the name of the game or do I hold them because confusingly, cash generation is also the name of the game?

    3

    7
    1. The $150k “rule” could now be the $120k rule since we have 30% more trades than we once had (30 trades is now 40 trades).

      0

    1. Similar spot Johnny. I’m fairly skeptical of Walsh due to an interrupted PS + back issues that can flare up at a moments notice, but also know he’s severely under-valued for what he can produce.

If you think Walsh has top 8 claims, lock it in.

      5

      1

  31. Tu: Cadman, Sanders, Mckercher to Graham, Nguyon, Rowell

Td: Cadman, Sanders, Mckercher to Graham, Nguyon, Serong

I think ill hold Clark for this week. Pretty sure will be dropped for Danger so can be used as a loop

TD: McKercher, Carroll, Campbell for Heeney, Biggy, Graham

  33. A lot trading Sanders, with Libba not playing in Rd 6 hopefully he will get more TOG. I will be keeping him for one more week but then with Bevo as coach he could get dropped. Keep or trade Sanders.

    1. Agreed 100% with your comment hinsch.

      I am keeping Sanders.

Will see if he is named and not sub on Thursday to be absolutely sure. Bevo factor.

  34. Hey everyone! Any thoughts on Parfitt as a potential pick up? He hasn’t exactly played horrible footy
TU- Not a bad pick, give him a go
TD- No go, don’t go near
    CHEERS!!

  35. I still have Coffield and Reid sitting on my bench, should I trade one out now.? Any help appreciated.

    14

    0
    1. Im in same boat. Best 18 so you can get away with it, especially if you can field 22.

After that comes DPP so you can trade one of them to anyone, not just a defender.

If i dont get any bullets next weekend, Coffield will become mcauliffe for me.

      4

      0
    2. The last I checked (a couple weeks ago), Reid was listed as a round 7 return, so you may as well hang onto him at this point.

      3

    TD- Boost. Sanders+McKercher+Clark > Walsh+Graham+Nyuon

  37. Would love some comments on Parish and LDU. Monitoring them both. Was monitoring Dawson but not at the moment.

I love LDU. Last year he had 3 games below 90 in the first 6 games. I guess effectiveness/team synergy hampering his scores? Getting the vibe he may hit some form this weekend against the Hawks

Parish what’s his go? Role change? Haven’t watched a single Essendon game this year. Cheers

    0
    1. I’ll be covering LDU fairly in-depth on Fallen Premiums this Wednesday.

Parish I haven’t watched much of, but I’m certain Parish can turn things around. Not one I’d jump on until that happens though.

      7

  38. Probably Just Coffield to Graham this week, will be holding LIbba,.

Cadman, Sharp, Sanders the trio likely to make way next week depending on breakevens

  39. Gonna take a risk and bring Walsh in a week early in the hopes of making some ground up on the pack. Torn who to get rid of though!

TU: Jackson (Leaves me with 21 for the week but avoids a price drop)

TD: Crouch (Gives me 22 and allows me to loop my F6 with Cadman/Comben/Darcy)

  40. What has happened to Short this year?

Absolutely filthy I sold Young instead of him on the advice of a coin toss, but thought he had bottomed out and not worth selling.

    Seems I was wrong…

Should I hold and wait for him to recover (in some capacity), or cut my losses ($150k so far and a BE of 145 after that 15)?

    TU: Hold
    TD: Sell

    19
  41. Feeling at a slight disadvantage not having Steele in my side at the moment and with him heading towards 700k and a nice draw, I feel like this is the time to get him in. In order to do so I have to pass on Comben and go early on Biggie.

    What to do?

    TU:
    McKercher > Graham
    Cadman > Comben
    215k ITB
(Could potentially allow me to boost next week and get Stewart and a Walsh type)

    TD:
    McKercher > Graham
    Sanders > Steele
    Cadman > Nuyon
    5k ITB
(Miss out on Comben but gets me Steele. Can probably boost again the following week for Stewart but not sure what rookies I’ll be able to target)

    0

    13
    1. Forge ahead and go Steele. Comben nice but not a necessity.

McAulliffe, Garcia and Drury will be on the bubble next week for you.

      7

      0
  42. I can’t hold Dawson anymore. I’m ignoring the fact that I’ve lost $130K. Wishing I would go back in time and ideally NOT have started with him, or traded him out in R3 instead of trading out H Young. Next decision :

    TU : Trade in Steele
    TD : Trade in Heeney

    14

    8
    1. Not having either player has hurt (mainly because of the scars of seasons past) but it’s impossible to continue ignoring Heeney. Watch out everyone, he’s coming into my team this week.

      1

      1
  43. How to get Stewart (RD7), Merrett (RD8) and Petracca (RD9) in the next 3 weeks:

    TU:
    – Pros: Comben in this week, Coffield out next week
    – Cons: 2 boosts in next 3 weeks, trading out a decent rookies (e.g., Williams) slightly earlier than I would like

    TD:
    – Pro: 1 boost in next 3 weeks
    – Cons: no Comben (and therefore need more rookies to become available), keep Coffield for foreseeable

    3

    1
    1. I’d actually say Ryan.

There’s other MIDs you can get that can match Steele’s scoring (or thereabouts) but Ryan is clearly D1.

      10

      0
    1. If he goes at mid-seventies, he’ll jump to 300k this week and then get to 340-350k~ over the next couple.

      2

      0
  44. Howes, Clark, McKercher > Clohesy, Graham, Walsh

Will give me in terms of non-rookies:
    Def: Daicos, Sheezel, McGovern
Mid: Bont, Butters, Green, Steele, TMiller, Walsh, NMartin
    Ruck: Gawn, Meek
    Fwd: Hervey, Flanders, Powell

    Bit lean Def/Fwd.
    TU: Do it.
    TD: Reassess.

    5

    2
  45. New trade plans

Tu (fix dead bench): Coffield, McKercher to Graham, Comben, 70k inb

Td (keep going aggressive): McKercher, Cadman, Mass to Graham, Nguyon, Serong

I’m leaning towards tu given last week of best 18 and going early on biggie is risky

    14

    0
  46. With what I can afford to do –
    TU Sanders > Touk
    TD Cadman > Zorko

    Prems in the team –
    Def: Daicos, Sheezel, Houston
Mid : Green, Butters, Bont, “Dawson”, Martin
    Fwd: Jackson, Flanders and Powell

    Thanks

    7
  47. Hi everyone – getting in Daicos for either Sanders or Jackson this week and whoever doesn’t go this week will probably go next week for Walsh – Wondering who should go this week ?

Jackson – worried about cash drop and Darcy factor but still scoring well for a forward
Sanders – believe still has good money and scores to have but Bevo the worry

    So

T/U Daicos for Sanders ($0 itb) or
T/D Daicos for Jackson (250k itb)

    22

    3
  48. T/U – Aggressive trades: McKercher, Sanders, Cadman to Touk, Graham and Zorko

T/D – Coffield, Cadman, Clark to Graham, Nyoun, Heeney

    4

    13
    1. Maybe but a huge risk given he is 35 and could easily be suspended or injured. Great accumulator and seems to be playing off half back but you need big balls to trade him in. Kudos to you if you take him and it works.

      6

      0
  49. Get rid of
TU Howes (bye but good JS and should continue to make money)
TD Draper (failed pick and poor scoring, very slow burn)

*either way I go it doesn’t affect my plans for next week (i.e I can afford to hold Howes)

    1

    13
  50. Need a double downgrade this week. Getting Grahm from the suns. Already have clohesy and comben is too pricey for my liking.

Better option to grab this week or any other suggestions?

  53. Coaches

Started without Daicos in the backline as a tactical move with the plan to bring him in post his initial bye which I feel that was a win.

Started with Martin in the Mids with the intention to slide him to the backline after they first DPP changes, but after his poor start I traded him in Round 2. On reflection this is a loss.

I’m now looking at bringing in a topline player into the Midfield for $575.1k or less. Daicos form has been patchy as of late and Martin seems to have righted the ship. Bit torn on who to bring in and would be interested to hear the thoughts of the community.

    TU Nick Daicos
    TD Nic Martin

Please feel free to comment if you think there’s another player to consider. I am open to bringing in a player that can be moved eventually to forward/defense as I have 2 spots available in both lines for premos.

    Cheers

    1. i did the same. Didn’t start daicos, but started martin and traded him out after 2 weeks.

Daicos is 100% coming in this week. Don’t think, just do.

      1

      1
    1. I personally don’t love the Touk selection, rather Rowell if you’re going for a GC mid. I’d just pay up and grab Butters who looks certain to be a top 8 mid.

      3

  54. Trade out
    Massimo, mckercher, cayman

  55. Really torn on whether to pull the trigger on Jackson. I started with him as a keeper in the forward line and a cover for this week.

    TU: 70,800 int
    Out – Jackson, Bramble, Kean/Bonner
    In – Merret, Steele, Graham
This option allows me to maybe pick up another premo next week.

    1. Thanks everyone, still undecided of which option I will choose.

Either option leaves me four rookies onfield in Clohesy, Sanders, Cadman & Darcy. I see Williams, Roberts & Reid as a long keeper most likely will be my last upgrades.

  56. Locking this in:

Cadman, McKercher, Carroll -> Hayden Young, Nyoun, Graham.

Next week double down and get rid of Clark + Burgess.

    Defence is already set:
Sheezel, Ryan, Young, Daicos, N. Martin, Houston.

Tom Green and Tracca short term targets

  57. McKercher > Graham

Walsh still on the bubble and another Best of 18 week so I’ll hold on anything further.

  58. Trying to avoid using a boost this week so what midfield upgrade to do?

  59. To afford who I want this week in Steele, I will need to use my 2nd boost (even though its only best 18) to trade out McKerchan, Clark & Sanders. Trade in options will be either –

TU : Graham, Nyuon (can’t afford Comben) & Man of Steele OR
TD : Graham, Comben and less expensive option in Walsh (concerned he will be rested at some point with his back issue) or Houston / H Young (who I traded out in R3).

3rd option (of saving a boost) is below, so please vote for 1 of the 3 options

  60. 3rd option to follow on from above

    1. Have done similar but took Anderson instead of Steel as POD and allow money for Walsh next week depending on how he backs up

  61. Current Trades for the week
    Out: McKercher, Carroll, Campbell
In: Graham, Nyuon, Miller and $6.7k itb

Could go Walsh, but Miller seems to have a better run
Just waiting for DPP and the team should get a major shuffle in positions

  62. Trades last week (Jordon & Howes > Clohesy & Flanders)
    Current team
DEF: Sheezel, Houston, Daicos, NWM, D’Ambrossio, Clohesy (Reid, Coffield)
MID: Bont, Butters, Serong, LDU, Dawson, Roberts, McKercher, Sanders (Sharp, Clark, Mannagh)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWDS; Flanders, T.Powell, Reid, Dempsey, S.Darcy, Windsor (Wilson, T.Berry)
    $142,700 ITB, 32 trades left, 4 boosts.

Leaning towards McKercher, J. Clark, and Dawson to Graham, Walsh, and Comben (via DDP), will so have $$204,700 for next week as well.
I still have Z.Reid/Coffield on my def bench though
I am open to any feedback or advice!

  63. Any love out there for Mac Andrew? I haven’t watched a lot of Suns games but Minus 20 break even and thinking in a couple of weeks you can combine with another mid pricer (Say d-Ambrossio) to do a one up/one down trade to get a premo without using a boost.

Any love for Jack Bowes. I do watch Cats games and he is looking increasingly confident in the Cats midfield. Break even of 9.

TU: Howes / Campbell to Andrew / Graham (47.4k ITB)
TD: Howes / Carroll to Bowes / Graham (1.1K ITB)
