With Xerri’s under par scores the last few weeks, whilst apparently managing ‘hamstring awareness’ and having lower TOG than usual. Albeit, he has come up against some very tough opponents during that period..
And with Pitonnet likely to come back into the side for the blues & effect TDK’s output
Is it just a matter of holding?
Theres not much else setting the world on fire in the rucks, if anything Gawn soon enough in the flex spot?
I have nank and Xerri. With the Darcy/Jackson thing going on and Witt’s being a wash with other two. Gawn is a maybe and Marshall not till later- looks not yet fit to me. Leaves me thinking I’ll put up with floor the two of them have… I think TDK will score better with pittonet than without. Strikes me as a burst player who will be able to dominate around the ground while Pittonet takes care of the ruck contest grind.
I am expecting a majority of thumbs down for this proposed trade.
Out- Roberts, SDK & Oliver
In – Holmes, Daicoas & Gawn
Let me explain
My captain selections for the last 4 weeks have not scored over a 100.
I have tried Zorko, Xerri and Neale (twice).
I need less midpricers and more potential captain options.
Can’t trust Sheezel and Libba although both solid.
TDK has tapered off.
I am languishing with a ranking of 66k so I need to do something.
Just want to hear any thoughts on this, is mccluggage going to finish this year as a premium, or is it worth getting zorko as he is cheap now, and has the ability to average 130.
TU: bring in mccluggage
TD: bring in zorko
Please reply if you have any other suggestions of a must bring in or will be a premium by the end of the season
James
Had McCluggage since the the start. My reasoning is he’s a gun, high C B attendance but unlikely to get a tag with Neale in the team. The popularity of taggers this year is a major consideration when choosing premo midfielders.
Seeing a lot of people get rid of Davidson and can’t help but feel it’s a little premature. He still has a good role and has the potential to score well. His BE isn’t obscenely high. Did I miss something, an injury perhaps? I remember last year one of my lessons was to hold on to rookies who have good roles even when their BE starts to creep up (last year it was guys like Windsor, Wilson, Reid etc.), and instead get rid of rookies who don’t have the ceiling and scoring potential. If you have guys like Kako, Stone, Leake, Berry etc. you might be better off focusing on upgrading those spots first, or at least getting them down to better cash cows.
If it’s about being aggressive and upgrading to a premium, then there is a merit. Because the price raise goes both ways and they may no longer afford the fallen premo if they waited.
My team has become a basket case with Berry, Kako, Stone continuing to score terribly and Hewiit, Camporeale and Tsatas not playing. Berry has now lost money after his 4 last night so probably has to go.
One shining light is I have $335K in the bank. Thoughts on the below would be greatly appreciated, please!
TU – Roberts to NWM and Berry to W.White (Leaves me with $297K)
TD – Roberts to NWM and T.Cochrane (I keep Berry and take the hit..) Leaves me with $329K
If you have problems with rookies scoring poorly, getting DNPs, and not making money, I would prioritise getting rid of them before getting rid of Roberts. Roberts can still turn it around, and even if he doesn’t, he is at an okay enough price point to be able to upgrade later on. You have $335k in the bank, take advantage of that and use it get rid of those dead rookies. It might be your best chance to do so. Just my two cents!
Just looking for any opinions on any must have players/premiums to bring in this week. I am already getting brayshaw and Cleary, but I’m open to opinions.
With these trades I will have most of the good ones that are available / are not too far gone.
Currently ranked 2k was 850 before this week. So want to be aggressive and try get back in the Top 1k by getting a rookie off field in a week where others may be sitting tight.
I’ll be targeting value next week with Stewart or Trac so Daicos is my priority upgrade this week.
Leaving Humphreys after a bit of cash gen as I reckon he’s just about tapped out – split between upgrading Roberts and going to Petracca, or working more on cash-gen and getting a better premiun in for Humphreys
TD: Humphreys, Kako, Boxshall -> Cleary, Gross, Daicos
TU: Humphreys, Roberts, Kako -> Cleary, Petracca, Zorko
What’s people’s thought on Ned Long at $280k.
Like that his coach confidently stated he’s done with being used as Sub.
Not so happy DeGoey comes back and takes his mid time.
Could average a ton, given two rounds where he’s had full game he tonnes in both. Hmmmm
I’m thinking the same Mick! Won’t be a priority trade for me but I’ll certainly play around and see how it looks. Surely they use JDG more forward of the ball to accomodate him?
Should I trade Gawn in for meek or xerri or tdk. As I just put Tdk in this week and only have 1 trade left, just after I found the pinnotet problem so wondering if I should keep him or trade him back out for Gawn?
Either this is the most evenly split bunch of TU/TDs in SCT history or someone is fouling the vote; 50/50 on almost every proposition as of 7pm Monday night!
Seems Gross, Cleary, White and Cochrane all very short term.
I suppose if you want to go 1 up 1 down you have to choose 1 of them.
Are any of them long term?
Who to trade out for gross/cleary
Have stone O’Sullivan henderson kako hewett Davidson.
Not sure which to trade
TU- Henderson
TD- Stone
Comment for other
There is obviously non-playing rookies (i.e. Leake, NOD and Tsatas), and some that are not generating cash all that quickly (i.e. FOS, Stone and Kako). I think some of these need correcting to continue generating cash to adequately upgrade. And then theres the mid-price guys that aren’t going to get to that next level and will need to be upgraded (i.e. Roberts, Short, Oliver, Callaghan).
Cleary is the clear choice to come in this week for Kako. This would not allow an upgrade in the middle, but would allow one of Roberts or Short to be upgraded. I would lean towards Roberts with the role that Bice is playing. I am thinking of Clark or Dale (noting the ups and downs that these guys can have).
Are the trades worth it:
OUT: Kako and Roberts
IN: Cleary and Clark/Dale
TU: Looks good
TD: Reassess and go back to the drawing board
Comments welcome for suggestions to look elsewhere.
Who is more of a priority?
T/U Daicos
T/D Gawn
Gawn over tdk?
Can’t go TDK this week if Pittonet is back. Need to watch a week and see role. May actually be a trade out if he looses alot of the ruck split
People who have Xerri & TDK in their ruck line;

Seen in the past when Carlton play two rucks, Tdk score plummets as he is not around the ball.
I have xerri and meek, I just traded Robert’s out for tdk in the flex. Was it the right decision?
Henderson and Robert’s out and probably being in Cleary and a Whitfield/holmes type
Early thoughts?
Out; Henderson, Davidson & Roberts
In; Cleary, Daicos & Gawn (Flex)
Am I jumping the gun getting a ruckman in my flex spot this early in the season?
Tu or Td
Why is Davidson on so many peoples radar to trade? Is he injured?
SDK to ruck Briggs out for Daicos saves a trade rather than trading sdk and a osullivan to Daicos and elhawli
Priority
TU Baz
TD Naicos
TU:
OUT – Davidson and Callaghan
IN – Cleary and Daicos
TD:
OUT – Davidson and Roberts
IN – Cleary and Sinclair
TU: Cleary
TD: Gross
TU: Adam Saad
TD: Zach Guthrie
(Just short of Tom Stewart)
Other OK options Archie Roberts, Bowey, Noble..not very exciting
If you don’t have the funds to bring in a premo, then focus on cash generation. You have limited trades, so don’t waste them.
Who goes?
TU- Moraes
TD- Kako
What’s Lachie Ash’s role? This guy has flown under the radar.
Second seagull half bank flanker alongside Whitefield. Always wants the ball too
I am expecting a majority of thumbs down for this proposed trade.

Rozee seems really cheap right now, is he a big target or are people still concerned about the impacts of tags on him?
TU: Roberts, B.Allan > Sinclair, Cleary

Thanks for that. Not bad advice. I will take another look and see what I can do.
If worries about low scores time to upgrade rookies like any investing cash is wasted if not used. Roberts is still scoring more than most rookies
I need to get Bazlenka in.
Who do I trade out to make it work:
TU: Roberts via Stone DPP (rely on Bice/Reid/Trainor on field)
TD: Callaghan
TU: Roberts -> Holmes
TD: Callaghan -> Petracca/Warner (will move them forward)
What do we think of gross? West coast midfield feels really unsettled but does he hold his spot?
Caiden Cleary is possibly the better pick as he has a -73 breakeven. but it all depends on whoever actually plays. So wait til teams are announced
Yeh definitely getting cleary as well he looks solid!
Better trade this week;
Tu; Henderson > Gawn (Flex)
Td; Prior > Whitfield
Tu: CLayton Oliver out for a cheapie with a low breakeven(can someone give me options)
Td: Sam Davidson out for Caiden Cleary
Wouldn’t be inclined to lose Davidson just yet. Any Cash in the bank to get Oliver upto a premo?
60k
OUT: Lindsay + Callaghan + Roberts
IN: Daicos + Rowell + Cleary
3rd boost used though.
Just short of going Lindsay + Davidson > Daicos + Cleary
Can you try hold Lindsay. His BE will reset after this week when the 9 drops out.
Dees then have Richmond and Eagles to come.
Drop Davidson over Lindsay then?
Fading Clearly
TU Good Idea
TD Bad Idea
Just looking for any opinions on any must have players/premiums to bring in this week. I am already getting brayshaw and Cleary, but I’m open to opinions.
TU: Sheezel
TD: Daicos
Fixing some rookies and bringing in Naicos is the plan this week.
Stone / Kako (or Tsatas) / Davidson
Cleary / Gross / Naicos
Davidson probably has $30-40k more in him. But Naicos under $600k lock and load.
Daicos price not changing much this week….reckon this might be last chance to grab good rookies.
Who is a must trade out?
Knevitt, Lalor, Davidson, Humphrey, Kako, M.Reid, ???
Kako
Knevitt
Who is Baz? Zac baily?
It’s either Barry who just bought a Toyota EV, or it could be Bailey Smith (also nicknamed Bazlenka by some).
Yea. Lol. Thanks
Wasnt Baz the bloke previously known as Barry Mackenzie ????
I am looking to trade out Robert’s am i better of going for a Whitfield/holmes/ sinclair or going for a midfielder like serong or daicos
So much value in mids
Updated trade options;
TU: Humphrey, Roberts, Kako -> Cleary, Petracca, Zorko
TD: Humphrey, Roberts, Davidson -> Clear, Daicos, Zorko
Leaving Humphreys after a bit of cash gen as I reckon he’s just about tapped out – split between upgrading Roberts and going to Petracca, or working more on cash-gen and getting a better premiun in for Humphreys
TD: Humphreys, Kako, Boxshall -> Cleary, Gross, Daicos
TU: Humphreys, Roberts, Kako -> Cleary, Petracca, Zorko
Thoughts on these trades:
Stone – cleary
Kako – gross
Davidson – Petracca
TU – Yes TD- No
TU- Oliver to Naicos
TD- Davidson to Smith
(Draft league)
TU- Fogarty (ignoring his 1 week holiday)
TD- Ben Long
Thoughts on these trades
Hewett – Cleary,

Just hate that he’s got Brisbane in Brisbane this week.
Feels like all together bad timing at his price too.
He did look great though.
Should I trade Gawn in for meek or xerri or tdk. As I just put Tdk in this week and only have 1 trade left, just after I found the pinnotet problem so wondering if I should keep him or trade him back out for Gawn?
Don’t you just hate it when you have used the boost and you are still $500 short of getting the players you want
TU NOD Prior > Bailey Smith Gross
TD NOD Short Roberts/Maric > Bailey Smith Naicos Gross + $107k
Currently have Xerri & Tdk in my ruck line, however is it viable to bring in Gawn this week as my flex?
Tu or Td
If Pito is named, you could go straight swap TDK to Gawn
M.hall, morais, C. O’Sullivan to C.cleary, t.gross, L.Ash yay or nay
Either this is the most evenly split bunch of TU/TDs in SCT history or someone is fouling the vote; 50/50 on almost every proposition as of 7pm Monday night!
I’ve gone with SDK-LONG and Callaghan-Hewett this week. Should I be taking Daicos over Hewett? Hewett has had a fantastic run so far
Thoughts on Saad El-Hawli? hyped up in pre season and scored alright on the weekend, Whats his job security like? Worth bringing in?
Been the sub twice. BE -11.
I’d be going Gross and Cleary well ahead of him.
Started as sub both games he has played, so I would be wary.
The only reason you might want him is to open up a mid/Def swing AND he isn’t sub this week (bombers play Friday, will know early)
Seems Gross, Cleary, White and Cochrane all very short term.
I suppose if you want to go 1 up 1 down you have to choose 1 of them.
Are any of them long term?
What makes you think they are all very short term?
Their JS
Just look at Dudley this week
Stephen O
I think the latter two are but the first two NO
WCE need to play kids and Cleary in as Papley out for awhile
Leave me out of the other two
Good luck
Worth using a boost to go Oliver to Daicos?
Daicos is a must have
Eventually but not this week. His break even is still over 120 so can wait a week
Who to trade out for gross/cleary
Have stone O’Sullivan henderson kako hewett Davidson.
Not sure which to trade
TU- Henderson
TD- Stone

Stone now has Handy DPP. Especially if you have Reid and/or Trainor on bench
Using the flex
TU: Kako -> Gross
TD: Davidson -> Gross
Depends on what the other trade looks like. If Davidson allows a more aggressive upgrade, that would be the on to go for.
D: Sheezel, Holmes, Roberts, Short, COS, Bice, Reid, Leake
M: Brayshaw, Merrett, Neale, Oliver, Callaghan, Lindsay, Moraes, FOS, NOD, Tsatas, Hall

Is it too late for L Ashcroft? Has DPP now
TU: too late, stick to the cows
TD: he is a serious F6/F7 for rest of the year
Kicking myself for last week. Tossed up NOD and Short out for either Whitfield and Hall or NWM and LAshcroft. Went the first option
TU- N.Daicos
TD- A.Brayshaw
