  1. Zorko > NAS is locked in for me. (Will be my 7th premo injury, only one I held was Petracca).
    Debating getting dead rookie ZZ to Perez and hope he plays a few and makes some cash.

    TU: ZZ > Perez
    TD: Save a Trade (will have 29 left after the Zorko > NAS one)

  2. Is 680k fine to pay for Grundy if you didn’t jump on last week?

    Had to prioritise other moves but can still afford him this week. Only have 1 premium ruck currently and Grundy looks like a certain top 3 ruck. Also runs into a couple of juicy fixtures.

    TU: Grab him this week whilst the opportunity is there

    TD: Play the value game and target the likes of Roberts/ NAS

    • I would wait on miller, and try upgrade another line. Millers be is like 160, and he’s coming off two dud scores. I’m sure the scoring is an anomaly, but the be is a gift to let you get more information. Especially with all the injuries this year. Get him cheaper and more confidently later.

    • You seem to be trading just for the sake of trading? There’s really no need/point in trading out Robertson, Budarick or Smith. I’m not seeing Anderson as a problem, just a sideways luxury trade.

      They’re obviously upgrades, your team will be stronger in the short-term, no doubt. But is it upgrade season yet?

    • I’m trying to weigh this up too. Why the love for Roberts over parker. Roberts has the lower be, but for 30k more parker seems to have the slightly higher average and ceiling.

      I wouldn’t say parker has a clear advantage in scoring, so Roberts be might make him more attractive, but I was just wondering what people’s read was on role, injury risk etc., fixtures, and if any of that plays into the calculations here.

      • Just noticed Roberts has a much better bye. I’m still worried that he’s risky as a pick but that definitely lifts his stocks compared to parker, who shares his bye with sheezel, trac, butters, maybe ldu if you have him, and potentially touk if he comes good as a fwd option once his be drops.

        • Jackson isn’t solo rucking. The role was actually pretty bad on the weekend until Darcy went down with concussion. I’ll be surprised if Cox doesn’t come in this week and then likely Darcy will come back in. Might be a nice fixture this week but long term don’t see him as a top 3 ruck. Some might disagree but that’s my take personally.

  8. I know the golden rule is to never sideways your premos, but I have serious concerns about Jordan Dawson as a holder. Doesn’t look like he has anywhere close to the ceiling to put up a 110 average and so far looks like he will struggle to even post a 105 average.

    Seriously considering a sideways while I still have the chance to someone like, Nando or pay up to an already performing premo (like a Holmes type).

    TU: Hold, he will come good – focus on upgrades elsewhere

      Go back and look at last years numbers, he throws in some crap scores but also throws in the odd 150 which pads out his average.

    • I’ll start by saying I don’t own Houston but personally, I think everyone is being particularly harsh on Houston.

      He’s really only had 2 poor scores. 55 this week in a horrid game of footy where nobody really scored well and 61 V GWS where he had 18 @ 83% and kicked 1, not a stinker by any stretch of the imagination. He has Carlton and Essendon in his next two with Darcy Moore still listed to be out for both. His other 3 scores have been 94, 132 and 101 and we all know how good he was at Port.

      If I owned, I would be holding him. For me, he is every chance to ton up in both games.

    Aside from Sheezel and Petracca – are there any other obvious stand outs? I am liking Kozzy, Miller and Bailey as a POD. I’m not sold on Rachele as he is highly role dependant and Flanders has been a touch disappointing.

    Are there any others worth considering?

    • JHF just got DPP, he has to be considered. his game last night was much better than his score. he got a very close tag in the first half, but almost won the game in the second.

      Rankine’s TOG was decent on the weekend. first 3 rounds it was around the 74%. this week it was up at 90% where i expect it will be from here on. He should go close to a 100 average.

      Sam Darcy is one i would consider, especially with his round 16 bye, would be a nice own during the best 18 bye rounds in the middle of the year, there are 5 of them

There are a lot of good defender options, while forwards seem lower risk, as the gap between the best and worst isn’t as stark as long as I have trac and sheezel, and Rachele is cheaper and seems to be getting CBAs. However, will that last for Rachele? Also Roberts has a lower be and it’ll probably cost me more to wait if they’re both keepers.

    And which of the 2 that don’t get fielded should I be ready to loophole with Jagga (via Anderson) should Jagga fail.

  49. I might leave Robinson on the bench for a week or two, try and fix the other short falls in my team first, use him as a loophole maybe. A few others in my team with a high BE.

  50. Conundrum… obviously could hold Anderson. But of these two;

    TU – Anderson, Fonti & Budarick for Farrow, Rankine and Neale / Pickett
    TD – Anderson, Fonti & Budarick for T. Edwards, NWM and Neale / Pickett

  51. Still tossing up between lots of options. Trading Budarick instead of Robertson would give me more forwards to target but I do like his role and being able to use him as a loop for a couple of weeks could be helpful.

    TU: Robertson and Lukosius to Edwards and one of Darcy or Warner
    TD: Fonti, Lukosius and Budarick to Darcy, Warner and Perez

  52. Really want to bring in Grundy as I can afford him this week but not sure if it’s wise considering I have already paid up basically top $$ for Gawn & Bont.

    Which is the best option?

    TU: Petracca & NAS
    TD: Rachelle & Grundy

  53. TU: This week go H.Reid and Budarick to Milan and Zac Bailey, next week Grlj to Angus Anderson and Trac. Could also go trac this week but Bailey probably has a bigger price increase coming. Saves a trade and a boost.
    TD: Boost this week to add Dawson and end with Bailey and a combo of either Merrett and trac or Callaghan and Pickett

  54. The only players I have to trade out are D Sharp, Robertson & Budarick, the rest of my rookies are all doing well & not ready to cull. I want Murdock (if named) this week. Can’t afford Petracca who would be my preferred option, or Pickett. Players I can afford that I’m considering – McInerney, Rachele, JFF, Darcy or Rankine. I have already used 9 trades & 2 boosts due to carnage

    TU: – D Sharp to Murdock (if named) and leave it at one trade
    TD: – Sharp to Murdock, plus Budarick to one of the above

    • If none of McInerney, Rachele, JHF, Darcy or Rankine are jumping out at you, probably best to leave it at one trade until someone emerges as a must-have.
      *If you sell Robertson, who is out all year, would you not have enough to get Trac? Budarick will make a few more dollars, and you can look at Sharp as a dormant rather than a dead rookie?

      • Perez came in when Amon was injured.

        Last week it was Scrimshaw who was ‘managed’.

        Finn Maginness had 31 disposals and 14 tackles last VFL game. he might get a re-call.

        basically, i’m not bringing in Perez this week

    TU: Dev Rob – Edwards
    TD: Nando – Nas (would mean having to field both marshall and lombard in fwd line

  57. I don’t want Houston anymore I can hold for one but want him gone asap also got Anderson and dev not really a massive fan of the rookies this week

    TU: Houston and Anderson out for petracca and Neale (means holding dev for one more week can loop Lombard and Marshall on field this week )

    TD: Anderson and Dev out for petracca and Perez (means cash in bank next week but keeping Houston for one more week)

  58. Gee a lot of screw ups lately in my team, Houston and McCarthey not playing how I need them to, Dev out, Buderick out, Nandos out.

    Might need to boost this week but my plan is
    McCarthy -> Perez
    Dev -> Petracca
    Buderick -> Fawcett

    TU or TD

  59. Going to swap Fonti and Budarick to Murdock (if named) and either Rankine or Trac

    Tossing up whether to:
    T/U Keep Robertson a week or two to loophole Lombard/Marshall at F6
    T/D use a boost to downgrade him to Tom Edwards. He isnt a high scorer but looks to have a set role in the 23 unlike other downgrade options like Perez/Derkesen (means I have to toss the coin on one of him/Lombard/Marshall on field though)
