  1. Who isn’t on the trade table this week… Hayes, rachele, mccartin, butters dow… can I use a double trade boost and get 6!

    21

    2
    1. Yep, Motts.

And, contrary to most rookies, I think we can go early on Clark.

He’ll start on low TOG but easily B22 for us, will get ample midfield time and been crushing the WAFL for ages.

With him, I’m narrowly able to execute the following moves:

      Dixon -> S. Hayes
      Rachele -> Clark
      JHF -> Satan

Midifield will then be: Macrae, Steele, Neale, Satan, Brayshaw, Parish and Miller.

      Lock and load!

      1. I agree GD but reckon he’s worth holding off on purely so that he can be a downgrade option in two weeks. Might be worth picking up a Hobbs or Rosas if you can keep them on the bench but recognise that Clark is worth it for cash reasons.

        1. With you Johnno….no point taking the risk unless you are looking at a donut…perfect one up one down shortly.

  2. Looking to offload Whitfield however don’t really wanna fork out 100k + to upgrade him to a top gun.

Anyone keen on Luke McDonald for north Melbourne? Suggestions appreciated!

    3

    14
    1. Don’t love him, his role seems a bit everywhere and with ziebell coming down back possibly and hall nearly back from his hamstring not a lock to get that nice hb role. If you’re bringing him in now he’s gotta be a keeper and I don’t see him getting close to being good enough for d6 at end of the year.

    2. Tom makes a great point.

Setting McDonald aside, Whitfield has to go. Giants have moved to a more direct, corridor style of play and are avoiding over-possession, not to mention there are now some solid users down back – Whitfield is done.

Obviously go up to any of the top tier DEFs but if you’re really tight for cash and want a straight swap, Vlaustin is a good shout at 460k.

    1. Costs just a bit too much for mine partway through the season. Being a Lions man, I’m obviously a big fan, but his scoring is unproven over a decent sample size.

    1. Ty, FBS, but nothing special on my end.

Congrats on the Pies win. High pressure, fast movement play style looking very strong.

  3. DEF: Crisp, Hewett, Short, Ridley, O’Driscoll, McCartin (Gibcus, De Koning)
MID: Macrae, Laird, Neale, Oliver, Miller, Daicos, Martin, Rachele (Ward, Macdonald, Hobbs)
    RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Hayes)
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, Butters, Coniglio, Xerri, Rosas (Durdin, Parker)

    $26.4/28 trades remaining

I’ll be definitely trading out Hayes (for Hayes from Port Adelaide)
But not sure who I’d should be looking to trade out as well? I’ve got Rachele, Ward, MacDonald and Durdin who’ve peaked. Then I’ve also got fallen premos such as Butters and Ridley who’ve been letting me down consistently. Also not sure of McCartin if he’ll play or not this week. If he’s out for only one week, I can always put Gibcus on field for him.

    1

    4
    1. How about this:

OUT – Jack Hayes, Rachele, Ward or MacDonald
IN – Sam Hayes, Clark, Cripps

Leaves me with about $50k spare.

If anyone feels I should be doing something different, please tell me. I’m always happy to hear what others think.

      9

      2
    2. McCartin won’t be playing this week as he has concussion and is now under concussion protocols.

He is automatically out for 10 days and has to pass indicators during this period before he can start contact training and resume playing.

He has stated that he feels good.

  4. Already used 2 trade boosts

Tu; make 2 trades this week with Luke parker being the only upgrade (fwd)

Td; make 3 trades this week with Patrick Cripps being the only upgrade

  5. thoughts?
    jack hayes>sam hayes
    lipinski>clarry

TU-should use trade boost to trade out ridley or JHF
    TD-keep both of them

    1

    19
  6. I brought in Preuss last week for Dixon (R3) so I’ll have to miss out on Hayes. Looking at doing this:

    McCartin > G. Clark
    J. Hayes > 130k rookie (thinking Rosas if he gets named)
    JHF > Clarry.

Mids become Macrae, Steele, Neale, Miller, Clarry, Cripps, Martin, (one of Ward/Clark)

I’ve used 2 boosts already though so these trades will take me to 24 left for the season. On the plus, Clarry comes in for a reasonable price. Thoughts?

    6

    2
  7. Whitfield not looking good. If the only option to trade Whitfield was downwards this week what would we all do? (Lack of cash)

Tu; hold one more week and hope he scores
Td; downgrade him to a rookie and use the funds next week

    4

  8. best defender to get in this week??

can afford anyone. Currently have Sinclair, Hewett and Short as my only 3 premiums.

Feel like a lot of the top players are either overpriced or just not that good.

    3

    1
    1. Any one of Doch, Stewart or Sicily would be great buys – each of them just gone below 100 once this season. Maybe take a look at your bye structure and who suits?

  9. I am going to have to wait till teams announced on Thursday night.
Will Rosa’s be named (like I need another forward)
Maybe Clarke of WCE will be selected (but can we pick him on debut).
No rookie is really screaming out to be picked.
Not Hobbs, not Curtis, maybe Dempsey but surely he goes when Danger returns.
Will be keeping McCartin and loopholing Gibcus.
Another ton from him would be lovely (especially as I will have him on field this time) !!

    9

    1
    1. @ Shaggi (and others) – what about getting Windhager (St K) in this week?

Has had one price rise of $26K, but is still only $143,700.

Is a MID / FWD, has a BE of -11, scored really well in the seconds for the first couple of weeks of the year – and he has now scored 33 / 43 / then 51 on the weekend for the seniors from 64% TOG.

Is getting around 9 – 15 possessions per week playing up around the ball, and the Saints seem to be going pretty well with him in the side.

The potential downside is maybe the returning Billings, Zak Jones, Geary and Hunter Clark.

He looks a pretty good player though – so would think the Saints want to get some games into him.

      2

      6
      1. As a saints fan, I feel as if he is first out when Zak Jones comes back, which will probably be either this week or next.

  10. Team currently with 30 trades and 220k in the bench

Def: Sicily, Short, Ryan, Ridley, Mccartin, Gibcus (NOD, Uwland)
Mid: Macrae, Steele, Neale,Oliver, Hewett, Daicos, Martin, Dow (Ward, Mcdonald, hough)
    Ruck: Gawn, Grundy (Preuss)
Fwd: Dunkley, Brodie, Butters, Coniglio, Rachele, Hayes (SDK, Rosas)

Am thinking a little crazy this week and trading Grundy, I know he just scored 129 but Preuss is performing like a premo and could get him at r2 and then bring in Hayes for r3 for supreme upgrades this week.

    Am thinking
    Out: Grundy , Hayes, Dow
    In: Hayes, Miller and Cripps

While I dont like trading out premos I feel like this is a super ugrade on my team and would leave it looking like this

Def: Sicily, Short, Ryan, Ridley, NOD, Gibcus (Mccartin, Uwland)
Mid: Macrae, Steele, Neale, Oliver, Miller, Hewett, Cripps, Daicos (Ward, Mcdonald, Hough)
    Ruck: Gawn, Preuss (Hayes)
Fwd: Dunkley, Brodie,Butters, Coniglio, Martin, Rachele (Rosas, SDK)

Leaving me with 85k and 27 trades left with a downgrade next week of Rachele to Clark and Mccartin to Dempsey leaving me with a big bank of cash for upgrades the week after.

Can someone pls talk me out of trading a set and forget or convince me this looks great. I dont know if this is crazy or not!

    1. I’m considering Grundy out too, primarily for the vital cash gen of Hayes. Very interested to see what the community thinks!

      8

      7
      1. I know i was planning to hold him but with Hayes and Preuss gonna make 200k each is too good to miss out on especially looks like theres no real good rookies coming through other than clark.

        5

        1
    2. I reckon you aren’t crazy at all. I have slight regret for not bringing Preuss in so I’d have that option this week. Only thing I’d wonder is whether Miller is definitely the guy to bring in. Just hasn’t been scoring like a top kid since the first fortnight and there’s just a lot of good mids at that price point right now. Green for a little cheaper just seems to be plugging along plus Brayshaw and Keays look great this year but nothing wrong with sticking with Miller.

      1

-risky but i am able to get dusty if there is no one else

      1. Vlastuin and Ladhams could be crazy good PODs. Luke Ryan and Tom Hawkins have good scoring history but my personal favourite in the price bracket who I’ve been loving in my draft team is Dylan Moore. Just had his worst score of the year at 88 which is pretty solid for a forward if that’s the worst they’ll give you.

  13. Currently looking at this – Hayes to Preuss to cover for English being out for eh next few weeks and paddy mccartin to Rosas via DPP. May also end up trading out Rachele, but the only problem is there arent many good forward or mid rookies on the bubble.

    Is rosas injured?

    0

    1
    1. may end up looking at trading out hayes for preuss and rachele and mccartin for greg clark and via daicos DPP to down back trading for a good mid

      1

      1
    2. Rosas calf complaint. Looks to be back this week according to Dew.

I’m going early on Clarke due to structure. Should have decent JS.

      7

      1
    3. Reckon I’d look at bringing in the Port Hayes for saints Hayes. As someone who missed the Preuss train, it feels like it’s already left and bringing him in for nearly $100k more than we could have last week feels pretty bad.

  15. Already have Walsh so testing the waters on;

TU – Cripps (too exposed to Carlton? Or do they work like Macrae and Bont last year)

In: Satan Oliver / Greg Clarke / Sam Hayes

  18. l really want Steele in after bypassing him at start of season instead of Miller and having him last year but with Rowell and Berry at Mid 7 and mid 8 and trading in B Smith this week l feel l need to address my back line .

Hewett , Ryan , Ridley , Bowey , Daicos and Mccartin
    Gibcus , Deconning

l feel Vlastuin playing in a supercoach friendly role could be a sneaky POD have previous avg around 90 but no Houli this season .

  21. G’day everyone!!

Need to trade one of thee guys out for C Oliver:

    T/U: JHF – scored 65 / average = 72.8 / $322,200 (up $115k) / versus Carlton at Marvel / BE = 83

    T/\D: Rachele – scored 35 / average = 67 / $290,600 (up $105k) / versus GWS at Adelaide Oval / BE = 85

    Thanks.

  22. hey guys, got a big situation here
like everyone i have rookies that need to go, rachele, jhf, macdonald, durdin, ward
    Doing hayes -> hayes
I can do rachele and jhf -> rosas (hope he plays) and clarry
But I feel like i should get rid of durdin or ward before jhf or rachele, if i swap out one of rachele or jhf for ward or durdin i can still get heeney or cripps

TU: jhf and rachele -> rosas and clarry
    TD: jhf/rachele and durdin/ward -> rosas and cripps/heeney

Would love some thoughts on which rookies i should axe and which premos are best
    Thanks lads

  23. Unsure what to do with JHF and Rachele. They both have great job security but are about to start losing money.

T/U Keep them for as long as possible and be prepared to lose a few $
    T/D Trade them

    2

    7
  24. Any reason there isn’t much love for Libba as a fwd? Got an avg of 100 atm, that’s got to be worth top 6-8 by the end of the season surely?

    At the moment I’m considering:
    J Hayes to S Hayes
    Rachele to Libba/fwd under 550k

    8

    1
    1. Yep. Really like it, Joe.

Dogs know they need him back at the coal face. Top 6 finish from here.

Only reason I’m not jumping on is I’ve already got 6 premos with that R13 bye.

      6

  25. What are people thinking about Parker as a FWD? Has averaged 99+ every year since 2014 and doesn’t miss many games. Cheap at 475k.

Seems like a great fallen premo… keen to hear from a swans supporter..

    17

  26. Thoughts on this?

    O’Driscoll > Vlastuin
Grundy > S.Hayes (field Witts/Preuss with Hayes bench)
    N.Hayes > Brayshaw (via NOD)

Ruck combo makes me nervous but Vlaustin + Brayshaw look solid?

    TU: Do it
    TD: Massive dumbass

    7

    16
  27. Will Parker be a top 6 fwd by year’s end? Thinking
    Out Hayes Rachele
    In Parker S.Hayes

Can’t quite do the same trade with Mccartin but surely with Rachele’s BE he’s gotta come out first.

    9

    2
  28. TU Parker ave 97
    TD Brodie ave 100

Looks to me that Freo’s resurgence and Brodie’s breakout might go hand in hand. Was Parkers 39 injury affected?

    8

    6
    1. Parker’s 39 was injury affected, Papley back next week means Parker won’t be used as much up forward

      5

  29. T/U
    Rachele —> Rosas
    Caldwell —> Cripps

    T/D
    Grundy —> Hayes (Preuss R2)
    Rachele —> Keays
$100k (to enable another upgrade next week)

Will be using McCartin and Hayes (STK) as loopholes for NOD (DEF) and SDK (FWD)

    4

    5
    1. Did you watch Grundy on the weekend? He was dominant, back to contested marking around the ground, strong in the hit outs. You will want him and Gawn eventually, don’t waste a trade

      1

      7
      1. Grundy was beaten by Draper for the first 3 quarters then had a 51-point Q4.

Trading Grundy to Hayes will save a trade the following week when I can straight swap Xerri –> Parish.

A lot of strategising to think about.

        3

        1
  30. Whats the go with Vlaustin? How did he score so much and what role is allowing that?

    Also pls vote on this.

TU: Hayes to Hayes, Rachele to Cripps
TD: Hayes to Hayes, Berry to Clarry (Rachele>Clark next week)

    6

    6
  31. Rachelle, Dow and Hayes have to go unfortunately

    TU: Hayes, Clark, Oliver
TD: Hayes, Hobbs, Heeney or even a Libba/Parker

    10

    2
  32. Going with the very standard Clarry and S. Hayes in this week. Torn between upgrading D. Stephens or Rachele to Clarry.

    TU: J. Hayes & D. Stephens > S. Hayes, Clarry, 54k in bank
    TD: J. Hayes & Rachele > S. Hayes, Clarry, 142k in bank

    2

    10
  33. Was planning Witts to Sam Hayes, but impossible now. Grundy was a set and forget and he proved what a gun he is. Pruess already my R3 so I may have to miss out altogether.

Crisp, Short, Hewett, Bowey, Daicos, McCartin (Gibcus, De Koning)
Macrae, Steele, Neale, Miller, Cripps, Rowell, Berry, Martin (O’Driscoll, JHF, Rachele)
    Grundy, Witts (Pruess)
Dunkley, Butters, Brodie, Coniglio, Xerri, Hayes (Dixon, MacDonald)
    190K in the bank

Thinking Jack Hayes down to Rosas, wasn’t too impressed with Hobbs but maybe MacDonald down via DPP. Then maybe McCartin to Clarrie.

Bowey and Rowell were both downgrade options, glad I held them. Looking like JHF, Xerri and Berry could be gone before those two.

    Any advice would be great

  34. Are these ridiculous trades? I need Hayes (PA) for cash gen and already have
    R1 Grundy R2Witts R3Preuss
    Trade 1 Grundy to Hayes
Trade 2 Ridley to Oliver through swapping O’Dricoll back to to D6
Trade 3 Hayes (St.k) to Crippa through swapping nic Martin down to F6
    Defence would be
Sinclair Hewett short whitfield daicos O’driscoll
    mids would be

    fwds would be
dunkley brodie butter cogs xerri Martin

  35. Looking to be cash conservative for the byes.
Didn’t start butters. Will he be top 8 fwd?
    TU-yep
    TD-complete disaster avoid.

    6

    13
    1. He might still end up a top 8 fwd but it seems like it’ll be in 130s and 50s. As a Butters owner he’s two up and down. Wish i didn’t have him. Not doing bad enough to trade and not doing well enough to love in my side either. Definitely wouldn’t be looking at bringing him in.

      10

      0
      1. I think With Butter’s, he hasn’t be right since he got Powell peppered a few weeks ago, then got smashed in the ribs this week and the poor guy tried to hide in the forward pocket for most of the game. So barring getting flattened again I reckon he’ll come good in a week or two.

  36. Hello All,

As we have to offload Hayes (Saints), would Dempsey be a good option or, would he be a one game wonder considering Danger will slot back in?
Who else would be a suitable downgrade – Clarke (WCE) is probably a bit too early, even though he will play this week from all accounts.

    Cheers.

    1

    2
    1. Hey Vin, Stuart Dew suggested that Rosas should be available to come back in this week so he’d be the top of the list if you don’t have him. Otherwise you could pay up a bit for a Callaghan or Hobbs who are both on the bubble this week with negative breakevens. I’m always wary of trading guys in before they play two games but if you’re going to go early on anyone, Clark is probably the pick cause he should slot right into the Eagles’ best 22.

      2

      1
      1. Thanks Johnno, with Rosas I went early last week. So, it looks like it will have to be either clarke or Dempsey – Clark definitely has more of the JS for sure. Hobbs could be a good option as well – Cheers.

  37. Would appreciate a quick point in the right direction please. Which of these lines do you think needs work 1st?

TU – DEF: Hewett, Sicily, Short, Bowey, O’Driscoll, McCartin (DeKoning, Looper)
TD – FWD: Dunkley, DeGoey, Brodie, Coniglio, Xerri, Martin (Rachele, Rosas)

    And any suggestions?
    Thanks

    13

    1. Rachele out. McCartin goes fwd opening up def/fwd dpp. Upgrade down back.

Alternatively you could trade out McCartin as well (he is missing this week) and then you’ve definitely got enough funds for a premo defender.

      4

      0
      1. Thanks RB, i shouldve said I have $260k in the bank, and planning R3 J Hayes to S Hayes to get another $134k. Will trade Rachele, move McCartin fwd, swing Crisp back to def, and bring in a premo mid.
        Cheers

  38. Hmm, anyone else smell a Rozie breakout coming up?
If he’s named center again think I’ll roll the dice.
Will only be using players not on my field to get him in.

    3

    6
  39. So I’m torn on whether to get rid of Grundy, I started Preuss on the bench this year and I think my best option is this –

    Hayes > Cripps (via DPP)
    Grundy > Hayes (Start Preuss)
    Rachele > Clarry

Now I know trading Grundy sounds silly but I’m top 8k overall and I’ve got 32 trades still, I think I can afford to make this trade and get clarry + Cripps at discounted price without losing out in score with Preuss. Let me know what you guys think!

    8

  40. Ruck talk

My ruck line is Witts, Marshall and Preuss (weirdly i’ve also got Xerri, Dixon, J Hayes, Comben in my fwds). At some point later in the season i want to reestablish my ruck/fwd link but that isn’t a priority atm.

I’m thinking S Hayes is a must have for cash gen. Marshall’s my most viable candidate to trade out. I’d obviously use the cash to upgrade elsewhere (defence needs some tlc).

TU – Trade Marshall to S Hayes (and Preuss becomes R2).
TD – Don’t trade out Marshall. Don’t bring in S Hayes.

    14

    1
  41. Richmonds Vlastuin has put together two good rounds, on the bubble this week worth a look????? or am I just dreaming.
Was thinking Hayes & Rachelle to Coleman and Vlastuin, if nothing else two POD

    4

    7
  42. Currently made this trade, using my second boost of the season

    Out – McCartin, Rachele, Hayes
In – Preuss, Rosas, G. Clark

This leaves me with 300k in the bank to trade Sam De Koning and Xerri to a premium next round, and some rookie on the bubble. This can be done to get me any player I want in whatever position through DPP.

    T/U – Great trades
T/D – Keep the boost, Rachele still has cash gen left

    3

    1
    1. My concern would be about trading in Clark before he’s even played a game. Surely you wait and see what he’s scoring like.

      4

      0
      1. Grundy has now gone and injured himself, so I am now looking at something along the lines of Mccartin, Hayes, Grundy out and Pruess, Gawn and Clark

  43. Grundy OUT for up to 10 to 12 weeks with a knee injury!!! Feels like all I’ve been doing this year is sideways trading injured premos. Frustrating!

I’ve got the cash to sideways Grundy to Gawn…

    TU: Do it
    TD: someone else (thinking ROB)

    1. Alternative plan.

Downgrade Grundy to Hayes (Port) and use trade boost to upgrade Rachelle & J Hayes to a premo mid (Cripps, Touk or Brayshaw) and Parker as FWD.

Basically downgrading ruck position on field but upgrading 2 other positions.

      TU: Do it
TD: Stick to sideways trading Grundy to Gawn.

  44. TU
Grundy (injured out for 12 weeks) to S.Hayes
    Rachele to Brayshaw
$136,900 cash itb w/ 25 trades left for mid upgrades next week to Cripps/Miller/Boak
    TD
    Grundy to S.Hayes
    JHF to Sicily
    Rachele to Cripps
    $2,400 cash itb w/ 24 trades left

Will have Preuss as R2 and S.Hayes as E on bench

  45. So there goes my initial plans (above) with Grundy out.

    Grundy > S.Hayes (Preuss moves to R2)
    J. Hayes > Oliver (Martin goes to F6).

Saves me a trade. Will hold McCartin and hope his just a 1 week. Have Gibcus/De Koning to cover at D6 for the time being.

  46. With grundy my two options are probably to trade to Gawn or moving xerri to ruck and a rookie to the forward get in Oliver.

    thoughts?

    TU: gawn
    TD: Oliver

  47. Grundy gone 10-12,and I have witts and Pruess already..do I
Tu Grundy to Gawn and only use one trade
Td Grundy to Hayes and allows me to also go JHF to Oliver or any mid..and use trade boost to also go JHayes to Parker

    17
  48. Grundy > Hayes
    English > Oliver
    Rachelle > Mills

Preuss and Hayes R1 + R2 but projected score of 2433 lol

    TU: Do it
    TD: Don’t be stupid!

  49. I was always doing 2 downgrades this week to Rosas and Hayes. Then one upgrade which was undecided on…

Grundy injury has just answered my question and damn it’s good to have Maxy back in my team.

Have felt naked without him all year..

  50. Midfield consist of Macrae, Steele, Neale, Oliver, Cripps…

    Who to bring in?

    TU: Keays
    TD: Mills

    Comment for others…

    1. Miller! I would say a must have by years end and only 578k. Although, I can understand picking one of the two you mentioned, they’ve been on fire thus far. I just like Miller’s history and the price his at.

  51. Grundy news has forced a lot of people back to the drawing board no doubt.

    T/U: Gawn & Keays
    T/D: Witts & Steele

R2 & R3 are Preuss & Sam Hayes. Also have English & Hugh Dixon in the forward line.

    3

    11
  52. Triple trade time!

    Grundy > Sam Hayes
    J Hayes > Luke Parker
    Rachele > Cripps

Leaves me $233.3k for an easy downgrade and upgrade next week in the backline. However this may be the best time to get Oliver with a BE of 75, so do I bring in Oliver instead of Cripps? Leaves me with $135k only and no clear DEF to get next week.

    TU: Cripps and $233k
    TD: Oliver and $135k

  53. Did anybody other than me panic trade Rosas to Lohman 10 minutes before the GC game.
Now I’m sat with Grundy, Hayes, Dixon, McCartin, Lohman all injured.
And I thought last year was bad….

    1. Been an absolute killer Nigel. Hopefully McCartin and Dixon are back next week or the week after so can hold them for a little.

      1. I have Grundy so might end up running Preuss/Hayes at R1 and R2 with Dixon/Xerri as R3/F6.

Upgrade the rucks through the byes. Take the good scoring cash cows with solid roles whichever position you can. These two seem reasonable enough to have as on field scorers.

      1. Hough played in the WAFL during the weekend.
Unknown about a game with Eagles?
They are still impacted with injuries and health and safety protocols.

        Dixon will need another week.

  54. Hello All,

Grundy will be the talk of the week now with him gone! Which is a better proposition – please help out:
    T/U : Gawn, Cripps & Dempsey
T/D: English, Keays & Sam Hayes.

    Thoughts appreciated.

  55. Grundy is going to Hayes at this stage and I also have to get rid of Durdin and Dow
    Durdin and dow to:
TU: Hobbs and Clarry with 170k in the bank
TD: Parker and Vlaustin with 5k in the bank

    9

    1
    1. Parker and Vlaustin would suit my team better as that means my only rookies on field would be S.hayes, Daicos, O’driscoll, martin and Dixon/Rosas. The only thing holding me back tho is the roles of those two and how risky they are. Yes they’ll go up in price but are they keepers?

The Clarry trade means I have a 7 premium midfield with macrae, steele, neale, oliver brayshaw, miller and cripps with o’driscoll/hobbs at M8. This leaves my other lines a bit weaker with Daicos, Dekoning, martin and dixon/rosas on field as well as o’driscoll

So in conclusion it is two reasonably risky low premos or one proven premo but a rookie that will ride my bench and leave another rookie exposed on field

Lmk any thoughts pls sorry for the long message

      1. If you can find the cash I think Houston looks the best around $500K.
        Lowest score 83. Breakeven 61. Ave. 108.

        1. I could find the cash there so what do u reckon
          TU: Parker and Houston
TD: Clarry and Hobbs with 220k left

  56. Can’t get Hayes as I have Witts, Preuss, Strnadica, maybe if Strnadica is dropped ill do the swap but otherwise I have to pass.

Thinking of some risky upgrades in Hayes, Mccartin > Vlastuin, Liberatore

  57. Didn’t bring in preuss last week, thinking now to field Hayes at R2 as I don’t want to pay up for preuss now. Also allows me to get rid of Whitfield finally!

    Grundy > Hayes
    Whitfield > Cripps
    Rachelle > Steele

    Tu or Td

    1. Not owning preuss is now a major POD, especially if he gets suspended (again) or gets injured (again). Praying for neither as I own him!

  58. For the Grundy trade and with English out (Thanks Brooksey for the heads-up), Do I:

T/U: Gawn, Cripps & Dempsey (with Gawn, Witts & Preuss as Ruck)
T/D: Cripps, Keays & Sam Hayes (with Witts, Preuss & Sam Hayes as Ruck)

    Would appreciate your thoughts,
    Cheers everyone.

  59. What a nightmare
Who to get rid obviously Grundy then choices are Hayes Rachele Horne Francis Dixon Hinge McCartney
    Grundy to Hayes (Port)
    Tu Rachele to Oliver
    TD Hayes to Oliver
    Worried about Rachele losing money

    9
  60. Okay, so the Grundy surprise has obviously changed my trade plans too XD

    TU: Grundy > Preuss
    J. Hayes > S. Hayes
    Rachele > Steele
    $46k remaining

    TD: Grundy > Preuss
    J. Hayes > S. Hayes
Durdin > Keays (moving Rachele to F6) or Heeney
    $68k remaining

    7

    1
    1. An extension of the TU option with the third trade

TU: Rachele > Steele ($46k remaining
TD: Rachele > Cripps ($176k remaining, then the following round I’ll downgrade Ward to Clark – assuming he’ll be playing by then – and upgrade Durdin to a premo forward. Then I should hopefully not need to use trades for the next couple of weeks at least.)

      3
  61. Grundy 2 Hayes
    Rachele 2 Rosas (if named)
    JHF 2 Oliver
$360K ITB for double upgrade next round. Just when you think you’re getting your head around it they sucker punch you in the balls! Lol

  62. Bigger priority to trade out?

    TU: JHF
    TD: Rachelle

Or neither emergency to trade out at this stage

    2

    18
  63. TU: JHF to Petracca/Touk
    or
    TD: Rachelle to Libba

Haven’t seen Libba spoken about much but looks like a good forward option to me?

    12

    2
  64. Grundy – Hayes
    Mccartin – Oliver
    Hayes – Rosas

287k banked may get Gawn next week but do have flexibility with Dixon/Xerri possibly something to look at the byes will get another weeks worth of data on Hayes

  65. TU :
    Grundy to Hayes
    Rachele to Oliver
    Boost Whitfield to Sicily
    TD:
    Grundy to Hayes
    Rachele to Oliver
    Hold the boost and Whitfield

    4

    5
  66. More of a general question but something to consider.
    What is more important?
    TU getting the right rookie
    TD getting premiums earlier

  67. Hi guys, i’d love your opinion on which of these options is best! Thanks heaps

    T/U
    Grundy > Hayes
    McCartin > Hewett
    Rachelle > Cripps

    T/D
    Grundy >Hayes
    McCartin > Hewett
    Daicos > Oliver

    14

  68. Grundy to S.Hayes
    JHF to Oliver
    J.Hayes to Liberatore

Might add that Paul Curtis will have good JS for forward downgrade targets, but always a risk going one week early

  69. Un-SuperCoach-related question – which AFL players get the most Intercept Possessions per game? Trying out the Half-Back position for junior footy, wondering who I should model my game off as a moderately tall, fast and fit Half-back, not the greatest kicking skills and physicality but good football IQ and awareness. Am not so interested in the forward I am defending! Just keen on winning the ball and having an impact, perhaps making a move into the Midfield at some point.

    1. Probably not a match for speed per se but Tom Doedee is an elite intercepter and a really intelligent defender without always just outmuscling opponents. But yeah, Hugh and GD are on the money with McGovern in that he defined what it means to be an intercepting defender.

  70. Got Grundy, Witts, S.Hayes as rucks – do I go
    TU: grundy to gawn
TD: grundy to preuss and use cash elsewhere
Other option is grundy to rosas via xerri dpp

    1

    3
  71. Need Thoughts On This One:

    Traded Out: Grundy,JHF,Hayes

    Traded In: Sicily, Parker, Hayes

My reasoning is not seeing any rooks that i like to downgrade to atm. So trading grundy while pains me to do… Allows for me to get hayes in for cash gen & take weak onfield FWD & DEF rooks out for some premos.

    Pruess will be r2

  72. My current rucks are Grundy, Witts & Preuss (with Dixon, Xerri & J Hayes in FWD line). 2 options I’m considering –

OUT: Grundy, Whitfield & Rachele (benching J Hayes till next week – figuring he won’t be dropping in price).

TU : IN – Gawn, Oliver & rookie mid/fwd via DPP (Daicos will move to def as Whitfield replacement for now and premium defender to be traded in next week) so rucks will be Gawn, Witts & Preuss as R3
    OR
TD: IN – S Hayes, Oliver & premium defender this week (with Witts, Preuss & S Hayes as R3, with plan on trading in Gawn later when one of those is ready to cull)

Option 1 seems a waste running Preuss at R3. But this seems to be the perfect time to trade in Gawn – or can he wait? Still has BE of 129.

  73. TU: Grundy to Hayes (Gawn & Preuss R1 & 2), McCartin to Green (O’Driscoll onfield at D6), save J Hayes trade for next week.
TD: Grundy to Hayes (Gawn & Preuss R1 & 2), McCartin to Green (O’Driscoll onfield at D6), use 3rd boost for J Hayes to G Clarke.

Leaves me with a very strong midfield but my D Line is shot.

Comment: Back to the drawing board.
