Brayshaw did cop a fairly heavy “corkie” in the first quarter of the game vs the WCE on the weekend
And he was hobbling for quite a while
There is quite a few mouths to feed in the midfield at Fremantle (with Murphy Reid also getting zero CBA’s), but I would probably hold Brayshaw for a few more weeks – particularly as Fremantle have a fairly friendly Round 14 bye
Have I missed the boat on Steene?
The boy looked good on Thursday night and looks to have a bit of McAndrew about him, with his vertical leap.
Looking at a straight trade for Watkins.
T/U: JHF (7 of the next 10 at Adelaide Oval but some tough fixtures)
T/D: Toak Miller (Has the history but many mouths to feed in the stacked GC midfield)
Will be trading out the AFL’s CEO and board of directors if they use a down and out Carlton player as cover for their lack of integrity exposed by the Butters v Umpire incident, where it was made public that the said umpire works for corporate bookmaker Sportsbet an AFL sponsor.
The AFL should drop the sponsorship or the umpire.
I’m not sure if their integrity department sits in the AFL or Vic’s department of justice?
The AFL-Sportsbet exclusive sponsorship deal is said to be worth around fourteen million dollars for the AFL each year, for seven years: I think it ends in 2031/32.
As for a grub reporter sponging off the incident, if it’s true what they reported that Collingwood players were aware of a problem with someone who was a danger to himself and other players on the field, the Collingwood players also have a duty of care for the effected opposition player.
Minutes are being managed, 64% game time this week. I think it depends on the breakevens of your other rookies and whether you think Angry Anderson is a must have.
He averages 0.8 points per minute played, this last round he matched his average but played 78 minutes, that brought his avg time on ground down to 94 mins.
Next game against Freo might be tough, who knows they could manage him, but the three games after that should see his average and value go up.
All being well I’m upgrading him for round 11 against Port.
There’s no-one to Pou Down to, you’d have to Pou Up. And all the good options are still dropping or are inconsistent.
Jaques lets you get Angry, if you’ve got DP.
Arthur Jones looked good until injured and should be back soon. Charlie Edwards looked ok in his first game but JS is questionnable. Obviously Anderson this week.

T/U Bont > Bailey
T/D Keep Bont
You’re just going to need to get him back in when english comes back, maybe even without. If you save $150k trading him sideways maybe it’s worth it, as that roughly is the going rate for a trade. But honestly even then. Watch Bailey smith have a couple off games right after you buy him and you end up down a trade for like no gain. Bonts a keeper.
TU: Priorities getting Jagga to the bench through getting in Clayton Oliver/<550k mid.
TD: Get Serong off the feild and get in JHF (was at the game Saturday and feel port look a lot better with the ball in his hands, hopefully playing more mid and not too dependent on goal scoring going forward)
What happened with Bruhn in the first quarter? He’s coming up a lot here, but is very capable of the 59BE – is it more a cash grab rather than a fully fattened lamb?
He’s been up and down all season, to be fair. I’m expecting a few spikes, a few weak scores. His be is very achievable. Can’t really make an argument for dumping him unless you’re swimming in trades or maybe some sort of point chasing if you’re up in the rankings, and even then a real luxury that I’m not sure is super solid.
Upgrade season is upon us and this weeks spares me not much change ($400).
Out: Serong, Jagga and Dev Rob – In: Merrett, Anderson and Tsatas.
Already have a midfield line of Bont, Naicos, Butters and BSmith. Think Merrett’s the next best. Would love another defence premium but the likes of Whitfield and NAS still have money to drop.
for a grlj upgrade is merret more worth it or sinclair, and is bont going out this week if he doesnt end up playing considering the poor performances or is he worth keeping.
I guess it depends who you can bring in for them. If you need the extra money that Bruhn has, I wouldn’t hesitate to trade him and hold Jagga. I don’t think either have a lot more money to make personally. Goodluck!
I am looking to complete my forward line, as i have lombard on field (sadly)
i was looking to bring in pickett, is there anyone else on the radar, seeing i already have sheezle, petraca, mcnerny, flanders and cook (hopefully gonna average 80+).
here is the trades im doing this week,
J Smith, J Serong, L Lombard –> A Anderson, E Tsatas, K Pickett
also let me know if theres anyone else other than tsatas.
TU or TD
tu mckercher to whitfield (midfield stacked so murdock on bench)
td mckercher to whitfield, bruhn to anderson, fwd rookie to trac (get murdock on field instead of fwd rookie)
i didn’t think he would get named last week, but he did and kept Scrimshaw out of team. didn’t nothing wrong including a great chase-down tackle. not sure about his JS, but so far so good
For his current price, pass. You’d get what you pay for – an average just below 100 – but that’s not value for $520k. Would rather Jordan Clark at the same price
The role has changed for stewart with holmes going back, I would make that move first. Bont will bounce back eventually and everyone will be trading him in.
I voted td to avoid the boost but I would say that Clark is worth a shot over Holmes. There’s no real value for Holmes but Clark could easily equal his scoring for nearly $100k less
Bruhn, Jaques and Watkins —> Zerrett, Anderson, Retschko
which leaves me 44500 ITB. I could also go Holmes or Neale but dont have enough for Bont. Or I could wait till next week, keep the boost and hopefully there is some growth and some reduction in Bont. But it could also go the other way. I just love trying to get in a Premo as soon as it is possible.
Bonts break even is 238 so will most likely be sub 600k next week. Although there was news in SEN that he limped off the training track today. I’m just going to be ready to jump when he looks right, might hold Bruhn till then to make it easier. Don’t see any reason to go early on Retschko. I mean I like Merrett (User name checks out) but at some point Bont is a must have.
Bont in current form could get down to sub$550k in a few weeks, he has got injured in the first half last two weeks which doesn’t help, might not be a non starter this week.
Like clark, not sure about tsatas. I wouldn’t rush to get Jaques out by going early on retschko. Whether you go early on retschko instead of tsatas is a more 50/50 question.
First time player here – I still have D. Sharp, W. Brodie and J. Gibcus in my team – all not getting games. Is it a priority to trade these for rookies who are getting games over upgrading rookies who have peaked?
Have traded J. Serong and J. Smith out this round & have 31 trades + 3 boosts remaining.
I think you should wait for a rookie worth boosting too rather than just boosting because you want to get rid of him. Rookies that aren’t playing can be very helpful to use as loophole players in the meantime at least. If you already have Anderson then it could be worth holding off for now. Alternatively, you could try to cull Brodie instead of one of the other two this week cause their breakevens aren’t crazy high so shouldn’t lose much cash. Personally, I’m keeping rookies like Jagga, Serong, Grlj, Jaques because none should lose much cash and just need one more spike to keep going
Everyone quickly saying no on trading out Bont – but consider that if he drops a 70-80 odd without English and coupled with a James Jordan tag and a big loss – then he drops what $120-150k over the next two weeks. A lot of rookies from here are only making that much..
if you wait a couple of weeks, and all went as you hoped, the $90k price gap might reduce to $50k, maybe save $40k. not really worth the pain of not having Trac
Trac and Sheezel have already shown there is a gap between them and the rest of the forwards this year
Port have a very tough run of games coming, with taggers lurking.
Worrell has been good, but he doesn’t have the ceiling that nas and the other big dogs have. Worrell will give you 100-115 most weeks, but he won’t average that for the whole season. his floor games of 60’s (see round 5) won’t be balanced out by any 140+ games
if you are thinking of moving Sweet on, take a keen interest in TDK’s back issues, if he looks like missings a few weeks, RoMo is cheap and could go nuts.
i do worry for Bruhn’s scoring with Worpel playing and now Mullin going into the midfield as a tagger, Geelong has decided to play Holmes as a half-back distributor, not only has it messed up Stewart, it seems to have also affected Bruhn.
how long will this madness continue.
get rid of the tagger and Holmes back to the guts.
I can’t see Mullin not tagging anytime soon. Ideally I want to hold Bruhn, however he is my only ticket to get the premium that I want. Seems like it may be worth getting him to a premium defender which I desperately need? My other option is to use a boost which I can’t really afford with how much carnage I have had to deal with already.
Desperately need a defender. Been dealing with other major outs. I only have 2 premium defenders – Sinclair & Clark. NWM has a high BE and his R16 bye is my worst week for premiums out, so for now looking at either A Roberts or Whitfield, but could also consider Parker.
TU: Whitfield
TD: A. Roberts
Or vote below instead for NWM or Parker
TU – Retscheko – Taranto and banks out, hopper in leave a spot for him but Timmy is only concussed, could be out
TD – Charlie Edwards – Decent score with 3FA’s, lots of players fighting for spots. Already have Sid Draper sitting on the pine all season, he played a good game in the SAFL
Kozzie and 104K TU vs Trac and 75K TD
Using 2 trades to do both and Fwd is probably my weakest line (Sheezel, Darcy (out), Flanders, Kelly, Lalor, Marshall)
Should I get K.Pickett in this week? Problem with it is I have Holmes, Gawn, Sinclair and Flanders. Plus I’ll have Bont in a few weeks also. Or do I wait and either get one of petracca or Miller instead as I currently have no GC players.
Second option is a bit of a gamble however if the role sticks he can provide solid enough scoring to keep a Philipou off field and allow me to upgrade in other areas. It also allows me to upgrade around Bruhn and hold him.
Reports on X have stated Zuhaar has been training with the defence this week.
Will leave me 150k ITB to upgrade 1 up 1 down next week.
Hi all,
Can you go early on Retchko ??
If I do will be
TU Serong and Smith to Retchko and Pickett. getting 1 off bench to Pickett,
TD don’t go early on Retchko…
Thanks
Thinking of going to Serong to Angus Anderson ($246,200 ITB)
Not quite sure what else to do, should I just make the above move and move on to next week
Any feedback appreciated!
Neither rookie needs to be gotten rid of and neither premo is about to have a massive price in spike. Inall likelihood both those trade outs could make the same or more money than the trade ins, so don’t waste a boost to pay more for a player you can get next week. Unless you’re near the top of the leaderboard or something and want to chase points.
Can someone explain to me like I’m a 6 year old what on earth is going on with Brayshaw this year?
Not worth trading with how much he’s dropped?
the two games where he and Young have played together, Brayshaw has scored 47 and 65.
the other games he has scored 122, 95, 120 and 73
Brayshaw did cop a fairly heavy “corkie” in the first quarter of the game vs the WCE on the weekend
And he was hobbling for quite a while

TU: trade him in
TD: No job security don’t trade in
I don’t think that Zurhaar is a trade in target or supercoach relevant in SC classic
He is likely to play forward again at some stage, and he has never averaged over 70 points per game in his career
He did play a great game at half back today though
i actually very much disagree with that comment on your side.
zurhaar carried the backline with a whopping 140
hes gonna be the main kicking option
one week its mckecher and the next it is Parker. Or Daniel, or McDonald or Blamires, you just don’t know who it will be.

he is already too expensive. $223k is a lot to pay

What’s wrong with mccluggage, is he going to bounce back? Just wondering why he’s about to be so cheap, not looking at trading him in this week.
every season for the last 8 seasons his TOG has been between 81 and 85. This season is under 60%.
when we see his TOG go back to ‘normal’ that is the signal
Thanks, appreciate it.
he was injured in week 1 or 2, and has been managed with his return
Is it viable to trade out Bruhn this week if it’s the only way to get the premium you want like NAS?
TU/TD
TU – Jordan Clark
TD – Lachie Neale
First time player here – I still have D. Sharp, W. Brodie and J. Gibcus in my team – all not getting games. Is it a priority to trade these for rookies who are getting games over upgrading rookies who have peaked?
Have traded J. Serong and J. Smith out this round & have 31 trades + 3 boosts remaining.
Unsure if/who I should pull the trigger on?
Check out the rookie review. Gives a good idea.
Sharp is a good chance to play soon, hold him.
Brodie, not sure what is happening with him, had one game and played 40% TOG, i would trade him out
Gibcus is coming back from some very bad injuries, he will get games at some stage.
Cheers Derek! Would you recommend using a boost this round to shift Brodie out or hold him until next week?
I think you should wait for a rookie worth boosting too rather than just boosting because you want to get rid of him. Rookies that aren’t playing can be very helpful to use as loophole players in the meantime at least. If you already have Anderson then it could be worth holding off for now. Alternatively, you could try to cull Brodie instead of one of the other two this week cause their breakevens aren’t crazy high so shouldn’t lose much cash. Personally, I’m keeping rookies like Jagga, Serong, Grlj, Jaques because none should lose much cash and just need one more spike to keep going
Thanks for the advice Johnno! That may be a better option to cull him and hold another rookie.
TU – Jagga Smith (62 BE) to Zac Bailey
TD – Grlj (53 BE) to McInerney
Hi all,
TU Oliver
TD Pickett
Thanks
How many trades does everyone at the moment?
30
28 trades (3 boosts) before any R7 trades (of which there will be 2).
32 before 2 this week
i’ve used 7
means i have 33 left before this week
Hiya everyone 🙂
Defensive player
TU – Luke Parker
TD – Lachie Whitfield
Whit’s BE is a bit higher than Luke’s – Already have Sinc, J.Daicos and Clark
Thanks
i wouldn’t trust North to keep playing Parker in Defence for another 17 rounds.
we might see Jack Darling taking kick in next week
Is this trade worth it
Serong, jagga, Watkins – Pickett, angry and o & retschko
TU – worth it (gets a bad scoring fwd rookie off the field)
TD – save the trades
Wouldn’t go early on Retschko. Other 2 are good if affordable.
TU: McInerney
TD: Pickett
TU: Robertson to Anderson
TD: Two of Serong, Jagga and Robertson to Anderson and an upgrade
For above
TU: Serong and Robertson to Anderson and Warner
TD: Serong and Jagga to Anderson and JHF
Better cash cow
TU – Samson Ryan
TD – Steene
Houston out for
TU. Worrell
TD. Ash
TU. W. Duursma out
TD. Bruhn out
Butters in
Butters has Mullin this week. Mullin kept him to two under-50s last year, and after what he did to the Bont, I think he’ll have a big impact again.
TD. Robertson fake captain out, T. Miller in
TU. Trading in Butters, Ash or Worrell from two previous comments are a better option
Wait a week on Miller imo.
Everyone quickly saying no on trading out Bont – but consider that if he drops a 70-80 odd without English and coupled with a James Jordan tag and a big loss – then he drops what $120-150k over the next two weeks. A lot of rookies from here are only making that much..
But u r gunna wanna bring him back in later. Save the trades. U will want the Bont at the end.
The Bont has averaged best score in the league the last 3 years running, if you don’t trade him and gets back to his best you won’t lose any money.
You only lose the money if you trade him.
Actually hoping he misses the Sydney Jordan tag, game then comes back strong week after.
another thing to consider is Darcy’s injury.
does this make Bont go forward more, especially if he has a bit of a knee issue?
Not sure who to get out of Clark and Merrett this week, team below:
Def: Sincs, Coleman, serong, blamires, farrow, Jacques (Lindsay & Perez)
Mid: butters, Bont, naicos, Holmes, Ldu, Walsh, Bruhn, Murdock (jagga, grlj, Phillipou)
Ruck: Gawn Grundy mcandrew
Fwd: sheez, trac, Flanders, rankine, cook, Marshall (Robertson & Lombard)
Flex: duursma
27 trades left with 2 boosts remaining, playing for rank currently pushing top 5k
Any opinions/help welcome!
I’d focus Clark as your weaker line maybe. I like the Merrett pick too, but it seems you have a few rookies you can upgrade in the backline
Personally I’m prioritising those that have already broken $150k and have earned a trade.
Clark, due to your def being weaker than mids.
T/U – Kozzie
T/D- Horney
just on match ups alone over the next 3 weeks, its Kozzie
kozzie – richmond, swans and eagles
JHF – Cats, Crows and Dogs
TU – JHF (and wait for Trac)
TD – Trac (bite the bullet because of the torrent of incoming fallen premos)
if you wait a couple of weeks, and all went as you hoped, the $90k price gap might reduce to $50k, maybe save $40k. not really worth the pain of not having Trac
Trac and Sheezel have already shown there is a gap between them and the rest of the forwards this year
Port have a very tough run of games coming, with taggers lurking.
TU: Bruhn > Nas
TD: Jagga > Worrell
I see Nas as a top 6 defender where as I’m unsure on Worrell which is making me lean towards the first option.
agree. it has to be Nas.
Worrell has been good, but he doesn’t have the ceiling that nas and the other big dogs have. Worrell will give you 100-115 most weeks, but he won’t average that for the whole season. his floor games of 60’s (see round 5) won’t be balanced out by any 140+ games
Serong to Anderson is locked
Who gets traded out next?
TU: Jagga
TD: Grlj
Used my last boost T Bruhn – J Clark
J Sweet – L Reidy
S Grlj – T Miller
i think pitonett might only miss one game.
if you are thinking of moving Sweet on, take a keen interest in TDK’s back issues, if he looks like missings a few weeks, RoMo is cheap and could go nuts.
Upgrade season.
Torn between:
T/U: Bailey Smith
T/D: Merret
Have the cash for the Smith upgrade – will be using a boost.
Cheers.
have you looked at your byes? somtimes we forget and it all of a suden become as easy decision
Yeah, good point Derek. Will have to look into that.
Serong > Anderson locked in.
Second trade;
TU; Bruhn > NAS (Only way I can afford to upgrade this week)
TD; Dev Rob > Tsatas (Double down this week and bank the $$ for future upgrades)
i do worry for Bruhn’s scoring with Worpel playing and now Mullin going into the midfield as a tagger, Geelong has decided to play Holmes as a half-back distributor, not only has it messed up Stewart, it seems to have also affected Bruhn.
how long will this madness continue.
get rid of the tagger and Holmes back to the guts.
Further to above
TU: NWM
TD: Parker
Nick Blakey? Seems to have been a significant benefactor of the new rules this year (aside from one low score of 78 a couple of weeks back).
Upgrade or dead rookie fix?
TU: Serong & Gryl/Jagga > J Clark & Anderson
TD: Gibcus & Watkins > Tsatas & Anderson
TU – NWM
TD – Sinclair
Have neither! Roberts also tempting
Hiya 🙂
If you had to pick one to go early on
TU – Retscheko – Taranto and banks out, hopper in leave a spot for him but Timmy is only concussed, could be out
TD – Charlie Edwards – Decent score with 3FA’s, lots of players fighting for spots. Already have Sid Draper sitting on the pine all season, he played a good game in the SAFL
Looking more likely a double downgrade next week
Who to trade out
TU: Fonti
TD: Jaques
Hiya 🙂
Is using a 3rd boost acceptable here?
Trading in AA and UDL in for Grjl and Bruhn was the plan. The boost is Serong to Tsatas.
Leaving my team with 26 trades/ 2 boosts left/ 106k ITB, ranked within 800 points of the leader.
DEF : Sinc, Jiacos, Clark, Blamiers, Lindsay, Farrow / Jaques, Sellwood
MID : Niacos, Baz, LDU, Neale, Oliver, WDuur, Jagga, Murdock / AA, Scerri, Sid Draper
RUC : Gawn, Grundy / McAndrew
FOR : Sheez, Tracc, Touk, Flanders, M.Reid, Cook / Lombard, Steene
FLEX : Tsatas
Will loop AA unless both Scerri and Sid get the call up.
Trade in options this week:
TU: Jordan Clark
TD: JHF
Kozzie and 104K TU vs Trac and 75K TD
Using 2 trades to do both and Fwd is probably my weakest line (Sheezel, Darcy (out), Flanders, Kelly, Lalor, Marshall)
Popular one i’m sure, but who would you be trading here?
TU: Jagga
TD: Grlj
Who to trade
TU: Grlj
TD: Jaques
Is it worth using my last boost for the following?
OUT: Serong, Bruhn, Dev Rob
IN: Anderson, Tsatas, NAS
Banks 70k which allows me to go 1 up 1 down over the next couple of weeks.
TU: Go for it
TD: Look elsewhere and save the boost
Role change for Stewart these past 2 weeks with Holmes and Bruhn favored over Stewart. is it time to admit defeat or wait one more week.?
Considering Stewart to Clarke
Should I get K.Pickett in this week? Problem with it is I have Holmes, Gawn, Sinclair and Flanders. Plus I’ll have Bont in a few weeks also. Or do I wait and either get one of petracca or Miller instead as I currently have no GC players.
TU- Pickett
TD- Miller/Petracca
Already have Anderson in. Second trade?
TU: Bruhn > NAS
TD: Dev Rob > Zuhaar
Second option is a bit of a gamble however if the role sticks he can provide solid enough scoring to keep a Philipou off field and allow me to upgrade in other areas. It also allows me to upgrade around Bruhn and hold him.
Reports on X have stated Zuhaar has been training with the defence this week.
Will leave me 150k ITB to upgrade 1 up 1 down next week.
Thoughts appreciated!!
2 trades ….out Smith and Blamires
IN:
TU: Anderson and Tsatas (with 300l itb) or
TD: Anderson and Mcinerney (30k itb with Heeny out for?)
Is it worth bringing in J.McInerney?
His BE is 96 but consistent scoring – I need some coverage in the FWD line.
If I bring him in that leaves me with 30 trades and 2 boosts remaining.
More important this week
TU: Pickett
TD: NWM
Hi all,
Can you go early on Retchko ??
If I do will be
TU Serong and Smith to Retchko and Pickett. getting 1 off bench to Pickett,
TD don’t go early on Retchko…
Thanks
T/u – Boost for Kosi
T/d – Don’t boost, grab one of McInerney/JHF/Chad
Boost McKercher for Roberts? Would have 2 boost left. Kinda want to hold with the injuries this year but also feels like it’s a great upgrade
Mcinerney – TU
Warner – TD
Quick last second question
Would you start Jaques over any of farrow blamires or lindsay
Tu yes (if so who?)
Td no
Hey everyone,
TU: Pickett
TD: JHF
Thanks!
Julian
Is it worth upgrading Bruhn for McInerney? Or wait until next week?
Last week’s trades were Fonti & Budarick → Trac & Murdock
Team before trades this week:
Def – Sinclair, NWM, McCarthy, Houston, Blamires, Farrow (Lindsay, Sellwood)
Mid – Butters, Bont, Daicos, Holmes, Bruhn, W.Duursma, Smith, Murdock (Serong, Grji, Robertson)
Ruc – Gawn, Jackson (McAndrew)
Fwd – Sheezel, Trac, Flanders, Cook, Phillipou, Marshall (Lombard, Dovaston)
Flex – Jaques
$46,400 ITB, 29 Remaining Trades. (3 Boosts)
Thinking of going to Serong to Angus Anderson ($246,200 ITB)
Not quite sure what else to do, should I just make the above move and move on to next week
Any feedback appreciated!
Hold trades i reckon, no real issues that need to be fixed
Who to field?
TU: J.Lindsay
TD: T Blamires
Who to field?
TU: T.Edwards
TD: L.Lombard
Who to field?
TU: T.Blamires
TD: S.Grlj
TU: NWM
TD: Clarke
Is it worth using my last boost to trade to do either of the following?
Blamires to Touk miller?
Bruhn to NAS?
TU: Yes
TD: Hold the boost
Neither rookie needs to be gotten rid of and neither premo is about to have a massive price in spike. Inall likelihood both those trade outs could make the same or more money than the trade ins, so don’t waste a boost to pay more for a player you can get next week. Unless you’re near the top of the leaderboard or something and want to chase points.
TU Serong J. Smith Phillipou out
Anderson Flanders Tsatsas in
TD Serong J. Smith Bruhn out
Anderson B. Smith Tstasas in
TU Serong J. Smith Phillipou out
Anderson Flanders Tsatsas in 90000 itb
TD Serong J. Smith Bruhn out
Anderson B. Smith Tstasas in 700 itb
TU: Neale
TD: Oliver
Neale presents a more obvious tag concern, with Geelong and GWS coming up.
Alternatively looking at Whitfield
Already have Jackson & Serong
Who to bring in
TU: Pickett
TD: Clarke
TU Zurhaar
TD Flanders
TU field Phillipou
TD field Steene
TU Clarke
TD Wilkie
Already gone Serong for McInerney :/
What do you reckon:
Blamires and Jagga
To
Anderson and Merrett
