If my calculations are correct, can do….
Will flip Sweet into bench to purely make money and can flip Livingstone to forward bench to help loop. My rookie roulette has been terrible!
If Sheezel has gone into the middle and mckercher is off half back then I would do it, I’ve kept him on that premise- if Sheezel hoes back to half back then don’t bring him in..
This is what I am thinking:
Out-
Powell – definite role change
Carroll – can’t be trusted on field and probably gets dropped for Cerra anyway.
Mannaugh – sitting on my midfield bench like a shag on a rock not earning me money or getting me points.
In –
McKay-there is always a key forward who is top 8 and I am backing Big Harry
Rogers- midfield minutes are gold.
Sweet – pure cash grab although if he played thru the byes that would be a bonus.
Good plan or bad plan.
Will be tight but I think is do-able
Powell, Powell, Powell. Little bastard. Already seeing the obvious ‘should he go’ comments.
Some clarity on the weekend’s 49:
– played a FWD role, recipient of poor entries, no action and small frame
– CBAs: 5, 1 in Q3, 4 in Q3
– Phillips got his role until subbed (13 CBAs), then even Curtis had 9 CBAs
– Powell himself 10 touches, 7 HBs, 3 kicks, just a nothing game
Even before this FWD role, he was sort of tailing off. The lack of FWD options, even now, probably means you can get away with giving him another week (i.e. Sweet has to happen this week). Macrae and Zorko falling through also a bit of a bail out.
But, yeah, not good. Hope he gets back inside but another FWD game and he’ll have to go.
Both Naismith and sweet are on the bubble
Sweet averaging a little better over the two rounds, but not sure what how their job security compares and whether it’s worth a trade
N Daicos the obvious option if you don’t have
Otherwise Houston or Whitfield
I reckon Top 7 Defenders will be in no particular order
Daicos
Stewart
Sheezel
Houston
Whitfield
L Ryan
N Martin
So if you don’t have any of these guys, I think they should be next defensive targets when their prices suit
Garcia has made an impact for the Bulldogs since being rewarded for his dominant VFL form, scoring 82 and 64 in his two senior matches this year. The question mark now is where he fits in Luke Beveridge’s plans when Tom Liberatore returns. Beveridge revealed after his side’s loss to Fremantle that Garcia would have been sub if Liberatore wasn’t a late out due to illness. He’s set for a nice spike in value but comes with questionable job security.
Who to bring in
Convinced both will be Top 6-8 in their positions
TU: Whitfield for 543.8K
TD: Merrett for 640.0K
Merrett has a soft run coming up, and I’ll probably bring him in at some point anyway so now could be the time with his easy games coming up starting with WC this week.
Whitfield one I’ve been looking at bringing in for a few weeks, his move back to defence is seeing him get a ton of kickouts, I think he’s a lock to be a Top 6 Def. I could definitely wait a bit longer on him, price won’t do much and Merrett probably at the better time to bring in.
Only reason why I am 50-50 on this is because Whitfield gives me an extra 100k to work with for upgrades of next two weeks which are crucial to be done at the right time for these next few guys as they won’t be at these prices for long.
Giving my next targets Ryan, Petracca and Butters a week or two to drop in price further.
If Butters scores a 105 and a 120 in the next two weeks he will be under 600K
Petracca will be 560K next week with a score of 115
Ryan will be under 600K with a score under 93 approx this week
Any feedback about my trade targets would be appreciated
Cheers
Hi all,
Worried about ROMO, looked sore plus will lose cash again…
TU trade him to sweet,,then can put E on sweet and if he flops swap Jackson and Livingstone , if he goes ok take his score..also can use cash to upgrade sharp to Dawson
TD keep him and hope he goes ok and miss on sweet and get Garcia
Thanks
cant imagine its great, bevo did say he was gonna be the sub is libba played. West suspenision will probably get him a game this week but going forward I reckon he gets dropped sooner rather than later.
I’m going with a bold strat to trade Grundy to Sweet. Not wanting a cash cow that looks to average something like 90 each week on the bench. Only slightly less than what Grundy would be scoring.
Lazarro and Campbell are traded out for Green and Garcia/Rogers. Leaves me with 250k – 270k itb for next week too
Stewart will be coming in for Williams in two weeks
With c loops now appearing other than Livingstone, I’m straight swapping him to Sweet and gonna bench him and watch the cash register ring !!! And have ruck backup.
Tu) Cadman-Garcia, Powell-Zorko and rozee-Dawson (miss out on sweet) 58k itb
Td) rozee-premo mid, cadman-Garcia, maley-sweet(allows me to get sweet but stuck with Powell)
Is he carrying an injury of some sort? TOG seemed lower than usual on the weekend. Not sure if he seems the same player as he was last season.. thoughts?
Two trades this week for me.
Campbell to Garcia
TU Williams to Dale
TD Williams to Fyfe (via DPP)
Really slim pickings in the forward line and only have about $480k to spend. Comment anyone else
Having started fyfe, and with the weak forward options, assuming he doesn’t get injured, I’ve been treating him as a keeper for the past few weeks. That’s a lot of caveats though, and if I were to put myself in your shoes I’d be pretty worried about bringing him in at close to peak price perennially a week away from an injury. If you have only $480k it might be worth just getting another rookie and trying for a double upgrade next week, rather than risking losing a trade on one of two risky options.
That being said, I am considering all sorts of nonsense to deal with Marshall and my lack of Gawn, so maybe in your shoes I’d do the same.
Having ridden the fyfe train all year so far, lets not forget he scored two proper rookie scores in the 60s, and could easily underscore a rookie next week.
Yep. I’ve decided to do the double downgrade. No one jumping out in the forward line and I have Heeney, Jackson, Flanders and Reid already. Maybe Big H, but very slim this year
Don’t see myself getting to Gawn anytime soon. Obviously Sweet has to come in, just debating whether to do it at R2 or R3.
With the R3 play, I’d just tack on my bank to Livingstone, let the coin roll in and keep Xerri at R2. Won’t do him to RoMo as was planned.
If I go all our and grab at R2 by dropping Xerri, which does feel odd given how good he’s been, it will allow me a fat bank to get Wehr to Zerrett. That M8 field position has been a bit of a pain point for me.
Really rate Zerrett who heads into a fixture of: West Coast, GWS, North and Richmond. Even after Suns and Blues (tough) he gets us [West Coast] again.
Have no problems with Sweet R2 in terms of scoring. Batting to a good midfield and actually has a GOOD ruck fixture of Adelaide, Cats, Hawks, Roos. The problem I do have is how I’ll get Sweet back UP later on. Say he tops out at 380-400k by the time Soldo gets back what am I doing? Doubt Gawn is still remotely attainable, no way I have 250k lying around. So then RoMo? Eh. Back to Xerri? Just feels a little dicey AND too many trades for R2. Will have been Grundy -> Xerri -> Sweet -> #.
To be honest, there’s a chance Sweet keeps him out of the side but let’s just say Soldo returns as scheduled, having to get Sweet to a season ruck does worry me.
The elephant in the room in all this is “Michael, you moron, why didn’t you start Gawn?”. Yes. I know. I’m a fool but there’s just no way I’m getting him now. And like I said before I doubt there’ll be a time and price where he’ll be at all doable for me from my R2.
He’s destroying me every week and giving every wog and his dog these off tap VC scores. Going to rail Geelong for 160+ this week as well.
Not having him and getting punished every week is what’s pushing me to the Sweet R2 Zerrett option. Nets major points on a few bases:
– Wehr UP to a premo
– That premo being Zerrett, who’s easily Top 8, consistent and with a great fixture
– Xerri -> Sweet won’t be that much of a deficit, certainly tolerable
I’m having the no gawn problem and I have romo. I could actually get up to gawn one up one down and sit sweet at r3 or could keep Romo and continue upgrading to Dawson, or sweet r2 for five weeks to gain relative price on gawn who I think I could get to in 4-5 weeks as I have a pretty big bank. My team looks similar to yours.
I’m really torn between the three options:
1. get gawn now with my bank and skip Dawson.
2. Cash in two rookies and get Dawson and just hold Romo with tingles r1
3. Get Dawson and downgrade Romo to sweet with like 300-350k itb.
My list is similar to yours in terms of development towards full premo.
Dawson not as consequential as you seem to think he is. Wouldn’t be making him central you any of your plans. Sure, two nice scores and a good price but not the end of the world to not have him. Bunch of Top 8 MIDs who are at attractive prices rn.
Hey Gd! I’m swapping Livingstone to sweet, keeping Xerri at r2 and hopefully sweet is bye cover for the rucks and then I’ll up and down them to tingles. It’ll be clear by then on the s Darcy development front . I do have Maxxy though so that’s a bit easier…
Thanks Gd, good to see the eagles going better. The good thing about having such a strong home advantage is that it doesn’t take much improvement to be hard to beat at home. Then just a couple of stolen away games are needed to make finals!
Sadly, my Lions are cooked this year. I don’t think we beat Gold Coast this week and think we turn 3-8. Time to play all the kids, get good exp into them and see who can really play. Get a nice high draft pick which will help with Levi and see what we can get for some of the oldies…go hard again next year. do a Sydney/Geelong as bottoming out with tassie coming won’t work!
I’m going Grundy to Sweet, due to the draw and not wanting high scores sitting unused on the bench.
I find the major issue as well is reupgrading him to English. You might be more restricted in cash than me though. You’ll probably have to be conservative with your money, but byes will come into play which may make options more flexible
Gaining nearly 50 points a week and can have a look at what Sweet does this week at R3 with the E on Thursday. Also if Sweet tops out at his bye in Round 13 you can probably sideways him to Briggs fresh off his bye in round 12 @ 500k who is a safe season ruck.
Only concern is the slightly high relative price and price growth potential. Will get both eventually, just wondering if it’s not worth the cash to get Dawson first.
Any Sainters got intel on Max Heath (sitting on my bench too). Started year injured, had concussion time out more recently – any chance to get a call up soon?
Grundy is frustrating to own thats why I moved him to Meek few weeks ago. I wouldn’t hesitate trading him to Sweet. Meek made $100k and hes going to Sweet for me.
Can’t quite afford Miller and Rogers. So, looking at Dawson + Rogers, or Miller +Garcia. Miller suits my bye structure slightly better, and I am less sold on Garcia’s js. Plus Rogers big score in R2 probably accelerated his cash gen over Garcia, despite their BE’s.
I’m a pickle and have both Marshal and Grundy in my ruck, I’m not overly worried about Grundy but Marshall has been really out of form and is looking sore and could be due for a potential rest. Should I trade to Sweet or even upgrade to English? He does have North and Hawks in the next next 2 rounds though
Not worth trying to upgrade someone this week instead of so much stored? Might miss on a downgrade target then next week (Jones, Simpson, Voss, Hardeman)
What cash would you miss? Dempsey to Rogers gives 150k
300k on Dempsey is 600k and still 100k for next week
1 up 1 down next week should still be the same cash except you have a larger scorer one week earlier.
Have got English, meek and Naismith currently in ruck
Risky but Looking at maybe meek to sweet at R2 which gives me the cash to upgrade sharp and Powell to premiums this week. Either that or just bring him in for Naismith
TU: Meek to sweet at R2
TD : Naismith to sweet at R3
This weeks trades leaning towards Powell and Grundy out to bring in Tom Green and English.
Figure that Green and English price probably won’t go much lower for the year and both will finish near the top of mids/rucks.
However doing this leaves basically nil cash in the bank, could use last boost whereby Jackson(moved from fwd to ruck spot) becomes Sweet, which makes bank look a lot better at about $350k. Ruck line up would be Gawn/English and Sweet on bench. Sweet hopefully makes some cash but then have to use another trade to upgrade any position later.
Issue is leaves forward line of: Heeney Flanders Fyfe Reid Jordan and Darcy, with R.Garcia and Livingstone on bench
T/U – Use boost and bring Sweet in
T/D – Keep Jackson as will more than likely finish top 6 fwd
I think you should definitely be looking at bringing sweet in but not at the expense of Jackson. Why can’t you downgrade a different player or even just do a 1 up 1 down where you bring in Green and Sweet instead of English?
Tossing up between bringing in Bailey Dale or Dawson this week.
I know Dale will lose some CBA’s with Liber back and the Bevo risk is real but, I haven’t watched enough of Adelaide to know why the turn around for Dawson.
Thanks Cap, appreciate the chop out and insight re Dawson:)
Tough indeed! Hearing what you said I feel Dawson is the safer option but, I keep gravitating towards Dale.
Good luck mate.
Very stuck this week any help would be appreciated. Thinking it’s time to fix my def cover
Team as it stands:
27 trades, 2 boosts left
Def- sheez, L. Ryan, Naicos, M. Roberts, M. D’ambrossio, S. Clohsey (Z. Reid, N. Coffield)
Mid- Bont, Walsh, Steele, Miller, Green, Fyfe, J. Sharp, W. Graham, (H. Thomas, H. Garcia, J. Clark)
Ruc- Gawn, RoMo (Naismith)
Fwd- Heeney, Flanders, Jackson, T.Powell, H. Reid, O. Dempsey (S. Darcy, D. Wilson)
Thanks coaches
Looking at using my final boost this week which will then leave me with 21 trades.
Trades would be – Powell, Cadman and Draper to Bont, Sweet and Rogers.
Team after trades is:
* Sheezel, Yeo, Houston, Daicos, Roberts, Williams (Graham/Reid)
* Butters, Libba, Serong, Bont, Green, Touk, Crouch, Closehy (Wilson/Rogers/H Garcia)
* Gawn, Grundy (Sweet)
* Heeney, Flanders, McCrae, Fyfe, H Reid, Darcy (Biggie/Maley)
TU – Do it
TD – Don’t use final boost and look for another upgrade instead of Bont
You could always keep the boost and hold off on Sharp -> Bont for one more week?
Bont’s next game is against Hawthorn with a BE of 124. On a projected 114 he’s forecast to drop -$4.8k. Hawthorn will tag him.
Sharp’s next is against Richmond with a BE of 75. On a projected 72 he’s forecast to drop -$1.3k. Richmond are pretty leaky, and even more so with Hopper now injured. In any regard a decrease from Sharp should be offset by Bont.
My trades this week will likely depend on north selection this week.
Interested to see what north do surrounding Tom Powell as I think Phillips is a chance of getting dropped, Powells mid time picked up in the last quarter following Phillips substitution and if Phillips gets dropped I’m interested in peoples thoughts on holding him for the week to see if this occurs.
My trades if this in the case is likely,
Comben and D’ambrosio to Dawson and sweet via DPP. This move will leave me with $77,600 ITB
Otherwise I’ll be turning Powell and D’ambrosio into Merrett and Sweet Via DPP. This move will leave me with $111,800 ITB
I would rather get rid of Comben than Powell, and am thinking that Phillips (or Lazzaro) may get dropped this week – which will assist Powell
Therefore at this stage I am holding Powell for at least another week
The lack of decent forward options means that it will be especially annoying if we trade Powell out – & then he gets a heap more CBA’s again this week
He was pretty consistent in that role for the first 6 x weeks, & I may be dreaming but he may still end up an F6 keeper
Funny enough, I am also leaning towards Merrett over Dawson this week
So currenty I am going:
Out- Zac Williams, Comben & Grundy (running Sweet at F2 for 3 – 4 weeks)
In – Merrett, Macrae (prob best of a bad lot of FWDs’) & Jordon Sweet
Not sure I should be “missing” picking up both Riley Garcia & Jake Rogers this week, but it does seem like there is some decent downgrade options starting to emerge
Sweet, Rogers and Garcia all on the bubble.
For those who didn’t go early on one which two are you grabbing and fading? I don’t want to boost to go 3 down this week.
I agree 100% that you can’t trust what Bevo will do
But Garcia has looked impressive the past couple of weeks, and he is now in his 4th year at the Western Bulldogs
Strong body, powerful, and can win contested footy – so still think he will be a decent cash cow if he gets another few games
With their strong list, am also a bit concerned about how many games Hardwick will give Jake Rogers – but he does look like a very good longer term player
Also HTF is Grundy out averaging Marshall by 9PPG. Where did that come from haha
Starting Marshall over gawn this year really hurt. Marshall/grundy -> sweet is on the cards this week.
Finally cracked top 5% Rank at 8,066 from 67,595 Rank after Round 1. Could’ve been better result if stuck with Dawson & LDU trade and if I kept the VC on Gawn. Still happy with the score of 2,362 points.
This weeks trades is something I need to weigh on whether I;
TU: 1 up/ 1 down
TD: double downgrade and double upgrade next week in Round 9.
I need to get rid of Powell, his role changed after I brought him into my side (sorry guys XD), and probably also Williams. At the same time to I’ve got a few rookies who have reached their peak too (Campbell, Sharp, Pink, Clark) that I need to offload.
I was initially thinking Sharp > Rogers, but I just miss out on affording Powell > Heeney, so I can’t do that. The only way I can afford that trade is outing Sharp for Simpson, but I’m making that move, especially since Simpson was the sub. The next best forward “premo” is Bolton, and I don’t necessarily trust him.
So would it be worth let’s say trading out Grundy for Sweet, and then upgrading Powell and then using a boost to out someone like Campbell to Garcia or Jones? Then I could use that cash to upgrade Williams or Sharp the next week.
I dunno, does anyone have any opinions on what my next moves should be? Because I’ve got a few people who’ve peaked, but got players on the bubble too that I don’t want to miss out on
Looking for a POD to strengthen my underperforming forward line. On recent form, I’ve narrowed it down to 2 players.
TU – Jye Caldwell (last 2 games 129 and 106, plays WCE, North and Tiges in the next month)
TD – Dylan Moore (last 2 games 116 and 136, $34K cheaper than Caldwell)
Tom Green is on the radar, but has a bye in 4 weeks. If he averages 120 over those four games, and then has a 65 score cover him on the bye, he’s only averaging 109 points for new-owners. Will be priced at around 620k, essentially 40k extra to grab him fresh off the bye.
Harley Reid, Tom Green both on the radar this week, could boost for both if Powell is cooked.
Next week Tracca in barring a disgraceful score v Cats.
OR in the 300’s and worst OF rookie is Sam Darcy so lots of manoeuvrability.
Assuming Powell is fine to hold, what does everyone prefer:
Tu)
Wehr -> Reid
Cadman -> Garcia / Rogers
Loop Zac Williams
2 trade for Tracca next week
Td)
Williams -> Green
Cadman -> Garcia / Rogers
Field Wilson v North
Last boost for Tracca next week
You only have Heeney, Sheezel, Powell and Roberts out for the bye in rd 12 so far, so there isn’t anyone really out in the midfield. I don’t think the rookie that would replace Green would be best 18 anyway so it may not actually be that much of a loss. You have more out round 13
Not sure how much value Reid gives to your fwd line for the time being.
Annoying that it is your final boost though for Petracca.
Currently
Traded Heath > Sweet (he will sit comfortably on the bench generating cash)
But now I’m tossing up Trading out Williams and Cadman for Dawson and a rookie valued under 146,400. (Thinking either Aleer or D. Jones) in an ideal world I’d bring in J. Rogers
TU: hold out another week get Dawson then (get Rogers and save the boost)
TD: Go ahead (Dawson going up in value)
TU: Comben, T Berry & ZWilliams -> J Sweet, R Garcia/J Rogers, T Green
TD: Try Again
Would give me;
22 Trades (1 boost), $175 itb
DEF – Sheezel, L Ryan, Daicos, Whitfield, D’Ambrosio, Clohesy (Z Reid, Coffield)
MID – Merrett, Bont, Steele, Petracca, T Green, Dawson, Roberts, W Graham (Windsor, H Garcia, S Mannagh)
RUC – Gawn, English (Sweet)
FWD – Heeney, Flanders, T Powell, H Reid, Darcy, D Wilson ( R Garcia, Livingstone)
Aiming for another top mid premo and Tom Stewart in the following weeks and fixing the forward line last. Is it too much to leave the dead wood until the byes?
Am trying to bring some degree of stability to my forward line – which clearly this year is very difficult
Am looking to bring in either:
t/up Jack Macrae ($486,500 / aver = 77, last 3 aver = 96.3)
t/down Jye Caldwell ($496,400 / aver = 92.7, last 3 aver = 104)
Essendon already have a deep midfield – and with further mids in Setterfield & Shiels to return soon
Jack Macrae is supercoach royalty, but getting on a little bit in age (he is 30 this year), his role is now say 30% mid / 70% high half forward, and his job security is definitely not 100% secure as we have seen in the past
Be great to get your “thunbs vote” plus any thoughts you have on these two “sorta premium” forwards.
Also considered Dylan Moore, but just can’t bring myself to pick a Hawthorn small forward – as the Hawks are getting well beaten most weeks
Of the two I prefer Caldwell, however I’m not big on either and if you don’t have I prefer Luke Jackson around that price point. Would probably give it a couple weeks, Jackson dropped a couple bad scores in a row with Darcy back in to the Freo line-up and has lost a lot of value, if you can get 1-2 scores confirming his Top 6 FWD status look to bring in I think.
If Libba’s back should Sanders be in TU and Garcia out TD, given Sanders is the leading Dog by tackles per minute played and earns 0.9 Super Coach ppm played compared to Garcia’s 0.8 ppm?
Yeah he does Chillo, frequently tries to turn the whole team into dpp players, often benching superstars for rookies in search of cash gen….
Clearly thinks he’s a SuperCoach!
Is it worth trading Grundy for sweet at r2 if it means I can bring in Nic Martin instead of a rookie
Trades atm
Out- Grundy, Powell, Williams
In- Merret, Martin, Sweet
TU- do it
TD- hold Grundy instead and trade sweet in at r3
Grundy to Sweet and look at two upgrades.
TU: Yes
TD: No
What to do with Luke Jackson?
TU: Trade
TD: Hold
Save the trade – surely he finishes top 6 FWD.
He will still be a top 6 forward so why trade him?
What to do with Tom Powell?
TU: Trade
TD: Hold
To who? Not many forwards is the problem
Assuming Sweet scores 90+ and English can be delayed a week who is more of a must have?
T/U Merrett @ 640k
T/D Touk @ 590k
Both have similarly soft draws
Tom Powell.. looks like a role change.
Tu; Trade
Td; Hold
If Marshall is okay to play this week, looked sore
TU – hold
TD – trade
Gawn Grundy Meek – with dpp nuff
Meek is scoring well and was good cover during the byes
TU Keep Meek
TD Take the cash i need and get Sweet.
If my calculations are correct, can do….
Will flip Sweet into bench to purely make money and can flip Livingstone to forward bench to help loop. My rookie roulette has been terrible!
Powell -> Dawson
Grundy -> English
Dempsey -> Sweet
TU – Do it!
TD – Have a re-think!
Thanks everyone, hope you’s had a good week.
Bailey Dale
TU- good value
TD- better DEF options under 500k
Steele
Tu hold
Td trade
Pretty set on the following trades as of now:
Grundy, Powell, Dempsey to Sweet, Dawson, Serong.
Means i have Sweet at R2 which im not a fan of but only way it allows me to faciliate the other trades.
Updated team with 24 trades, 2 boosts left and 40k inb if i do this.
Def: Ryan, Sheezel, Daicos, Martin, William, Clohesy (Graham, Reid)
Mid: Bont, Butters, Steele, Serong, Green, Walsh, Dawson, Roberts (Wehr, Garcia, Clark)
Ruc: Gawn, Sweet (Livingstone)
Fwd: Heeney, Flanders, Jackson, Reid, Darcy, Wilson (Cadman, Nyuon)
Or do i give Powell another week?
Is it crazy to think about brining McKercher back in??
Tu – He can make 150k and be worth it
Td – Waste
Who gets traded first ??
TU – Fisher
TD – Powell
Hi everyone,
Lohman goes to sweet via DDP. Livingstone into forwards
Bonner to ???
TU – Serong, helps byes
TD – Green, Doesn’t affect byes
Thanks
TU Petracca
TD Dawson
wait for tracc to come down more imo
TU: Z. Merrett
TD: C. Serong
OUT: Rozee + Fisher + Powell
IN: English + Touk + Sweet (swing Jackson fwd)
TD: Yes
TD: No
Keen to hear thoughts. Would be 3rd boost.
I gave the thumbs up but I think that if Rozee is only out a week or two then he is a hold.
current team sits at…
DEF: Sheezel, Houston, Daicos, Martin, Stewart, Williams (Brown, Reid)
MID: Butters, Serong, Walsh, Miller, Green, Roberts, Clohesy, Sanders (Wilson, Graham, Thomas)
RUCK: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWD: Flanders, Macrae, Fyfe, Powell, Reid, Comben (Darcy, Garcia)
Thinking of going:
Grundy, Powell, Sanders > English, Sweet, MID less than 625K
TU or TD (if thumbs up pls comment best mid under that price range)
Tom
Not knowing your side but either DAWSON or GULDEN
Is Marshall a hold? Will he get back to his better scoring or should we look to upgrade to English
Why are a lot of people trading out Grundy? He was 2nd best ruck average prior to this round.
Also is sweet likely to stay around for a while? Should I sideways trade Naismith for him
TU yes
TD no
Both Naismith and sweet are on the bubble
Sweet averaging a little better over the two rounds, but not sure what how their job security compares and whether it’s worth a trade
A “little” better? Sweet just ripped a 136 against RoMo. His 68 the week before was playing FWD with Soldo, who’s now out for 5 weeks.
is jake rogers a must get rookie
Nah, not at all.
If you need a rookie this week, sure. But if you’re on upgrades or Sweet it’s fine to pass.
Powell, Sanders > Merrett, Sweet
TU or TD???
Buku > Sweet (via dpp)
Powell > R. Garcia
Boosting..
Z. Williams >
TU: Dawson
TD: Stewart
(If I get Dawson this week, I will get Stewart next week. If I get Stewart this week, I will get Petracca next week)
Powell and Dempsey to Gawn and R Garcia
Thoughts? Is it too much to pay for Gawn now or does his price just not matter anymore?
Carroll > Rogers
Grundy > Sweet
Uwland > Sheezel/Ryan
Good trades?
Also comment if you think there may be better defensive options
Would give Ryan another week, will drop 30K next week with a score under 95 or so and even if he scores his proj of 117 will still drop 22K.
On Sheezel, has a BE of 153 this week so definitely wait a week or two there.
Prefer Whitfield or Houston this week as lower owned options and likely to finish Top 6 Def.
Also Daicos the obvious option this week at 592K if you don’t already have
Hope the advice helps and good luck
Thanks for the advice mate, top two decent trades for the meantime?
N Daicos the obvious option if you don’t have
Otherwise Houston or Whitfield
I reckon Top 7 Defenders will be in no particular order
Daicos
Stewart
Sheezel
Houston
Whitfield
L Ryan
N Martin
So if you don’t have any of these guys, I think they should be next defensive targets when their prices suit
Daniel Turner first gamer for Demons 101 SC points could be a possible down grade after second game, he’s a defender who a getting hard to find
Heeney and no $ itb or Dawson and 109k itb???
TU- Riley Garcia
TD- Jake Rogers
Rogers for mine as I think Dimma is committed to getting games into the kids. As for Garcia, only Bevo knows ….
This is from the Herald Sun today
RILEY GARCIA $125,200 FWD
Garcia has made an impact for the Bulldogs since being rewarded for his dominant VFL form, scoring 82 and 64 in his two senior matches this year. The question mark now is where he fits in Luke Beveridge’s plans when Tom Liberatore returns. Beveridge revealed after his side’s loss to Fremantle that Garcia would have been sub if Liberatore wasn’t a late out due to illness. He’s set for a nice spike in value but comes with questionable job security.
I think with Cody Weightman out for 12+ weeks, might have been a saving grace in disguise for Garcia, defs a watch.
T/U: Powell, Sexton and Dempsey to Sweet, Dale and Rogers + 200k
T/D: Powell and Sexton to Sweet and Dale + 50k
Cheers
Went early on Sweet last week which avoids using a boost this week to bring in Rogers as well. Powell and Cadman will be gone … deciding between:
T/U Merrett
T/D Rowell
Bring in
TU: Serong
TD: Dawson (and save cash)
Hi all,
Worried about ROMO, looked sore plus will lose cash again…
TU trade him to sweet,,then can put E on sweet and if he flops swap Jackson and Livingstone , if he goes ok take his score..also can use cash to upgrade sharp to Dawson
TD keep him and hope he goes ok and miss on sweet and get Garcia
Thanks
Is it worthwhile bringing in Sweet if he’s only going to sit on the bench?
Yeah, definitely bring him in. Will make major coin.
If you’ve got Grundy, Xerri or even RoMo, you can consider doing him straight at R2.
Worth the risk to put him in at R2 IMO
Not worth two trades I reckon
Hi all thoughts on my last boost this week
OUT T Powell, cadman and Steele
IN Sweet ( will be my R2), Dawson/N Martin, Merrett
OR save a boost and just do
OUT Powell, Cadman
IN Sweet (will be R2), Dawson/Martin
TU: Merrett (Eagles this week, soft run ahead)
TD: Dawson (80K cheaper)
Dawson or Martin for the remainder of the season
Thoughts on
Powell, D’ambrossio, Grundy
->
Serong, Green, Sweet
Delicious.
What is Riley Garcia’s job security like?
cant imagine its great, bevo did say he was gonna be the sub is libba played. West suspenision will probably get him a game this week but going forward I reckon he gets dropped sooner rather than later.
When did bevo say this? Do you have a link to anything? Cheers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtNlakz39c8&ab_channel=FoxFooty
At about 2:40 he mentions Riley Garcia coming back in for Libba
Cheers!!
with cody out should hold his spot west also will miss a week cant see hiim dropped anytime soon unless he flops which is unlikely for his standards
Hi all thoughts on my last boost this week
OUT T Powell, cadman and Steele
IN Sweet ( will be my R2), Dawson/N Martin, Merrett
OR save a boost and just do
OUT Z Williams, Powell
IN Sweet, Merrett. (Still holding Steele)
Jordan to sweet
TU Yes
TD No
Thoughts on
Powell, Dempsey & J.Draper > Sweet, Serong, R.Garcia
TU Yeo
TD Walsh
Is Merrett or Dawson/ Martin the greater priority
Another option:
Powell, Dempsey > Dawson, Sweet
OUT Powell, Cadman
IN Sweet (will be R2), Dawson/Martin
OR
OUT Z Williams, Powell
IN Sweet, Merrett. (Still holding Steele)
I have two options for me to trade this week but I can’t decide which way I can go.
Tom Powell and Henry Thomas out for
TU Jordan Sweet and Jordan Dawson
Or
TD Tim English and Cooper Simpson
Thoughts?
New trade option
Out: Dempsey, Powell, Cadman
In: Serong, Sweet, McKercher
Leaves 99k inb
McKercher comes in as d7 and Sweet is R3.
Tu: Yes
Td: No
I’m going with a bold strat to trade Grundy to Sweet.
And have ruck backup.
is it worth boosting carrol to rogers this week and banking the extra cash for a major upgrade next week.
Best upgrade below 630k
T/U Serong
T/D Houston (20k ITB)
I already all the fallen premos
What do we reckon Bailey Dale needs to average to be a worthwhile get.
Just wondering the same mate, two weeks of great scoring but will Bevo leave him in this role permanently?
Roze gonna play ?
Tu) Cadman-Garcia, Powell-Zorko and rozee-Dawson (miss out on sweet) 58k itb
Td) rozee-premo mid, cadman-Garcia, maley-sweet(allows me to get sweet but stuck with Powell)
Who to get this week:
Tu: Dawson +58k
Td: Bontempelli
Perfect time to get Bont.
Nice work fading him.
Is he carrying an injury of some sort? TOG seemed lower than usual on the weekend. Not sure if he seems the same player as he was last season.. thoughts?
TU: Sweet
TD: Garcia
Joe, cmon. How’s that a question.
Sweet about to get a solo ruck gig to a top midfield for 5 weeks v Garcia a non-descript forward.
Fr.
Is Dale a trap?
TU: Yeah he is
TD: Nah he ain’t
Richards will return to backline as he was covering Libba in the last 2 weeks beware.
Who to trade first?
TU: Z Williams
TD: J Sharp
Maybe Big H, but very slim this year
TU: Rogers
TD: Aleer
Who should I target with the cash from trading out Tom Powell? (Can’t do both)
TU: Dawson
TD: Petracca (wait until next week)
Comment: Bailey Dale
RUC: Tingles & Xerri [Livingstone]
Team then looks like this:
DEF: Sheezel, Ryan, Daicos, Young, Clohesy & Howes [Brown, Hamill]
MID: Rowell, Zerrett, Butters, Bont, Gulden, Green, Roberts & Graham [Wilson, Garcia, Clark]
RUC: Tingles & Sweet [Livingstone]
FWD: Heeney, Flanders, Jackson, Macrae, Powell & Reid [Nyuon, Drury]
Super table OF, 116k ITB, target May and Stewart down back, Racca and Serong OB, ride out FWD line for now, tune rookies on pause upgrade weeks.
Have tentatively gone the R2 option atm.
Morning, Ledo.
RoMo is less of a decision than Xerri imo.
BE 198, banged up, think you make a move.
Dawson not as consequential as you seem to think he is. Wouldn’t be making him central you any of your plans. Sure, two nice scores and a good price but not the end of the world to not have him. Bunch of Top 8 MIDs who are at attractive prices rn.
Thanks for that reassurance, i needed someone to tell me I’m not crazy.
Hey Gd! I’m swapping Livingstone to sweet, keeping Xerri at r2 and hopefully sweet is bye cover for the rucks and then I’ll up and down them to tingles. It’ll be clear by then on the s Darcy development front . I do have Maxxy though so that’s a bit easier…
Hey, Mark.
Sounds good.
Hope your Lions can bounce back v Suns this week and stay in touch. Football honestly better when they’re up and about.
Sweet 85 R2 + Merrett 125 M1 = 210
Xerri 100 R2 + Rookie 60 M8 = 160
Gaining nearly 50 points a week and can have a look at what Sweet does this week at R3 with the E on Thursday. Also if Sweet tops out at his bye in Round 13 you can probably sideways him to Briggs fresh off his bye in round 12 @ 500k who is a safe season ruck.
Why not cash out a spud rookie for sweet using your dpp options and then cashout Sweet later using similar method?
Everyone looking at Sweet this week, but whats the news on Soldo ???
Out for at least a month at last report
Out: Z.Williams, Powell & Cadman
In: Bont, Dawson and Sweet
Surely Powell returns to more CBAs and Z.Williams could build a bit more cash, but these upgrades now are surely the better play, right?
Tu: Dawson
Td: zerrett
Only concern is the slightly high relative price and price growth potential. Will get both eventually, just wondering if it’s not worth the cash to get Dawson first.
Grundy, Powell, Williams -> Sweet, Bont, Whitfield
TU or TD
Ruck Line:
Gawn, Grundy, Heath.
TU: Grundy > Sweet
TD: Heath > Sweet (sitting on the bench for cash gen)
Any Sainters got intel on Max Heath (sitting on my bench too). Started year injured, had concussion time out more recently – any chance to get a call up soon?
Grundy is frustrating to own thats why I moved him to Meek few weeks ago. I wouldn’t hesitate trading him to Sweet. Meek made $100k and hes going to Sweet for me.
Currently rolling with Gawn/Jackson (Livingstone) as my R1/R2/(R3)..
Option 1 (TU)
Jackson -> English
Option 2 (TD)
Swing Jackson FWD
Cadman -> Sweet
TU Miller and Garcia
TD Dawson and Rogers
TU) Z. Williams, Sharp and Powell to Houston, Dawson and Rogers
TD) Sharp, Powell and Grundy to Sweet, Zerret and Dawson (or any premo mid)
I’m a pickle and have both Marshal and Grundy in my ruck, I’m not overly worried about Grundy but Marshall has been really out of form and is looking sore and could be due for a potential rest. Should I trade to Sweet or even upgrade to English? He does have North and Hawks in the next next 2 rounds though
T/U – Bont
T/D – Miller/Walsh
Having Rozee means I need to make an early trade this week. So with the Sweet hype, I’m thinking outside the square a little
Rozee to Houston, then Grundy/Sweet, Dempsey/Rogers.
Leaves $544.7k itb for monster double upgrades next week.
TU Do it
TD Rocks in your head
Not worth trying to upgrade someone this week instead of so much stored? Might miss on a downgrade target then next week (Jones, Simpson, Voss, Hardeman)
Thats the dilemma…do the upgrade this week or miss out on a bucket of cash.
Considering two ideas:
TU: D’Ambrosio, Thomas, Cadman > Dale, Dawson, Sweet (would leave me with only 1 boost)
TD: Campbell, Cadman > Zorko Sweet
Think the first is definitely better if Dale and Dawson are keepers but keeps my forward line weak with Reid at F3 and one of Campbell/Nyuon on field
Thanks coaches
I think you should definitely be looking at bringing sweet in but not at the expense of Jackson. Why can’t you downgrade a different player or even just do a 1 up 1 down where you bring in Green and Sweet instead of English?
Thanks Johnno, will have a closer look, appreciate the advice.
Grundy > sweet
Cadman > Reid (don’t know why I faded him)
Sharp > Merrett
Try talk me out of it. Im not gonna win so why not do it
Hey guys,
Tossing up between bringing in Bailey Dale or Dawson this week.
I know Dale will lose some CBA’s with Liber back and the Bevo risk is real but, I haven’t watched enough of Adelaide to know why the turn around for Dawson.
Bailey T/U
Dawson T/D
Thanks legends.
Brotha, Dale is a HB. No CBAs, no MID role, nothing to do with Libba. Lmao.
Probably confused with Richards, who is a HB getting CBAs for some reason.
Oh who am I kidding, we all know the reason. Bevo is a mad scientist, without the science
Mike Drop, I think I know what you mean. With Libba back, ERichards should go more Back, potentially impacting on Dale’s free-run at HB seagull role.
And hopefully Coach Nicks will settle Dawson into his current role, rather than the Mr Fix-it of earlier rounds.
Tough one, Dawson is class, but Dale’s current price is ummm Sweet!
Thanks Cap, appreciate the chop out and insight re Dawson:)
Tough indeed! Hearing what you said I feel Dawson is the safer option but, I keep gravitating towards Dale.
Good luck mate.
RoMo, Powell, Zilliams > Green, Zerrett, Sweet
TU
TD
Worth using a boost to trade Sexton to Sweet?
Want to use a boost this week for sure, will leave me with 2 boosts left.
Which 3 should I trade out of Sharp, Z Williams, Powell and Dempsey?
Then to bring in I’ve locked in Sweet, but not sure which to bring in out of Garcia/Rogers and Merrett/Serong?
TU: Houston
TD: Yeo
Very stuck this week any help would be appreciated. Thinking it’s time to fix my def cover
Team as it stands:
27 trades, 2 boosts left
Def- sheez, L. Ryan, Naicos, M. Roberts, M. D’ambrossio, S. Clohsey (Z. Reid, N. Coffield)
Mid- Bont, Walsh, Steele, Miller, Green, Fyfe, J. Sharp, W. Graham, (H. Thomas, H. Garcia, J. Clark)
Ruc- Gawn, RoMo (Naismith)
Fwd- Heeney, Flanders, Jackson, T.Powell, H. Reid, O. Dempsey (S. Darcy, D. Wilson)
Thanks coaches
Who do I trade to Dale?
TU: Mass
TD: Sharp
Looking at using my final boost this week which will then leave me with 21 trades.
Trades would be – Powell, Cadman and Draper to Bont, Sweet and Rogers.
Team after trades is:
* Sheezel, Yeo, Houston, Daicos, Roberts, Williams (Graham/Reid)
* Butters, Libba, Serong, Bont, Green, Touk, Crouch, Closehy (Wilson/Rogers/H Garcia)
* Gawn, Grundy (Sweet)
Fisher and Powell: OUT
English and Sweet: IN
TU or TD
Sharp – Maritn
Cadman – Sweet
Comben – Garcia/Rogers
160k Banked will be getting Butters and Stewart in the next 2 weeks
Thoughts?
I like your thinking as it is similar to mine!!
Sweet & Rogers are the best to get. Can’t trust Magnets with Garcia.
Who has better job security:
TU Darcy Jones
TD Cooper Simpson
Also HTF is Grundy out averaging Marshall by 9PPG. Where did that come from haha
Starting Marshall over gawn this year really hurt. Marshall/grundy -> sweet is on the cards this week.
Draper and Powell Out
In Sweet and Harry McKay
Or Sweet and Martin
Finally cracked top 5% Rank at 8,066 from 67,595 Rank after Round 1. Could’ve been better result if stuck with Dawson & LDU trade and if I kept the VC on Gawn. Still happy with the score of 2,362 points.
This weeks trades is something I need to weigh on whether I;
TU: 1 up/ 1 down
TD: double downgrade and double upgrade next week in Round 9.
What are peoples thoughts on Sicily from here? He seems to have bottomed out and his scoring. I am upgrading D4 and have $600K to spend.
T/U – Grundy, Meek & Cadman to English, Sweet & Serong
T/D – Grundy, Cadman & T.Berry to Sweet, Serong & Gulden/Anderson
Marshall – Sweet
Z.Williams – Dale
Powell – Merret/Rowell/Serong
Thoughts?
TU: Zilliams, Sharp & Comben to Dawson, Sweet and RGarcia – 154k ITB (3/5 boosts used)
TD: Zilliams & Sharp to Dale and Sweet – 80k ITB
Rozee replacement
Tu) butters
Td) dawson
Trade Nick Hind in, handy dpp i would like and is bottom priced – lost 200k has potential to get it back currently at 222k with 40 BE
TU Dont do it, he’ll continue to get sub 30’s with his role
TD Roll the dice and he gets his 200k back for final def upgrades by R15
DEF – Sheezel, Daicos, Stewart, Holmes, Williams, Clohesy (Graham, Pink)
MID – Merrett, Butters, Bont, Walsh, Miller, Green, Roberts, Reid (Sharp, Garcia, Clark)
RUC – Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWD – Flanders, Jackson, Fyfe, Powell, Darcy, Wilson (Campbell, Nyuon)
28 trades left – $41,800 ITB
Because I’ve got a few people who’ve peaked, but got players on the bubble too that I don’t want to miss out on
Who should I trade out for Sweet
TU: Grundy
TD: T.Berry (Sweet on bench)
Had a horror week, I think I need to get creative.
Romo > Sweet
Powell > Green
Massimo > Dawson
Looking for a POD to strengthen my underperforming forward line. On recent form, I’ve narrowed it down to 2 players.
TU – Jye Caldwell (last 2 games 129 and 106, plays WCE, North and Tiges in the next month)
TD – Dylan Moore (last 2 games 116 and 136, $34K cheaper than Caldwell)
HELP HELP HELP
I am definitely trading Powell and Sharp this week, however cannot decide which premo I want.
Dawson, Merrett, Rowell, Yeo
??????
Who would you pick!?
TU: Dawson
TD: Merrett
Merrett for me JT
TU: Yeo
TD: Rowell
Priority Trade Out
T/U: Dempsey
T/D: Sharp
Tu)
Wehr -> Reid
Cadman -> Garcia / Rogers
Loop Zac Williams
2 trade for Tracca next week
Td)
Williams -> Green
Cadman -> Garcia / Rogers
TU: Green
TD: Merrett
1 of these guys is going for Sweet
TU – Bye RoMo
TD – Bye Grundy
is bailey dale a trap?
TU yes
TD nah
A bit undecided
TU Powell + Ambrosio to Gawn + Rodgers. $10 grand ITB
TU Powell + Ambrosio to Merret + Sweet $92 grand ITB. ( Jackson forward)
Paying top price for the must have Gawn or a money grab with Sweet plus a premo in Zerret
TU: N.Martin
TD: Dawson
Hi Guys,
Need a backman about 490k,
TU Max Holmes
TD Bailey Dale…
Thanks
TONY
I’d wait a week as Stewart will be around that after next week
I think he’s a better choice than the other two
Good luck
I can get any midfielder, who do I get?
(already have Bont, Butters, Walsh, Rozee)
Merrett
Need to choose who to trade out to get Merrett or Green (leaning to Green).
TU: J Sharp
TD: T Brown
What do you think of Brown, Sharp and Rozee to Zerrett, Sweet and McGrath for a bit of pod action.
Tu good
Td mcgrath not worth it.
Looking at McGrath myself. Glad some else raised him as well. Just that bit cheaper than Martin which I need.
TU: Comben, T Berry & ZWilliams -> J Sweet, R Garcia/J Rogers, T Green
TD: Try Again
Would give me;
22 Trades (1 boost), $175 itb
DEF – Sheezel, L Ryan, Daicos, Whitfield, D’Ambrosio, Clohesy (Z Reid, Coffield)
MID – Merrett, Bont, Steele, Petracca, T Green, Dawson, Roberts, W Graham (Windsor, H Garcia, S Mannagh)
RUC – Gawn, English (Sweet)
FWD – Heeney, Flanders, T Powell, H Reid, Darcy, D Wilson ( R Garcia, Livingstone)
Aiming for another top mid premo and Tom Stewart in the following weeks and fixing the forward line last. Is it too much to leave the dead wood until the byes?
DEF: Sheezel, Ryan, Naicos, Roberts, D’ambrosio, Clohesy (Howes, Brown)
MID: Butters, Bont, Walsh, Steele, Miller, Green, Reid, Graham (Dempsey, H. Garcia, Hustwaite)
RUCK: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWD: Heeney, Flanders, Powell, Darcy, Comben, Wilson (Cadman, Sexton)
ITB: $117,300 | 25 Trades, Boost 2.

Thinking:
Powell -> Sweet (Livingstone DPP)
Dempsey -> Serong/Merrett
Just concerned that if I bring Serong/Merrett in I will only have $50,000 ITB.
Do I bring in another rookie and upgrade week after? Need some advice here. Cheers!
What to do with Rozee, already have Wines & JHF
TU: Merrett
TD: Hold
Just reliased that Archie Perkins may also be back soon for Essendon – so that midfield is now seriously stacked (which would affect Caldwell)
Does anyone know where to find the number of CBA’s attended by Macrae & Caldwell for each week this year ?
Thanks in advance
Of the two I prefer Caldwell, however I’m not big on either and if you don’t have I prefer Luke Jackson around that price point. Would probably give it a couple weeks, Jackson dropped a couple bad scores in a row with Darcy back in to the Freo line-up and has lost a lot of value, if you can get 1-2 scores confirming his Top 6 FWD status look to bring in I think.
T/U Serong
T/D Merrett
Out: comden and Zac Williams
In: sweet and Zorko
If Libba’s back should Sanders be in TU and Garcia out TD, given Sanders is the leading Dog by tackles per minute played and earns 0.9 Super Coach ppm played compared to Garcia’s 0.8 ppm?
not sure Bevo plays Supercoach
Yeah he does Chillo, frequently tries to turn the whole team into dpp players, often benching superstars for rookies in search of cash gen….
Clearly thinks he’s a SuperCoach!
Haha thanks Chillo and Mark, so Sanders goes out and Bevo never makes it to SuperCoach hall of fame.
Who should go first?
T/U Comben
T/D Cadmen
Bringing in Sweet and Dale for Powell and either Dempsey/Cadmen/Comben – Is it worth using a boost to get in Rogers as well ( get approx extra 150k)
T/U Use boost
T/D Save boost and wait for another rookie
Continuation from above….
T/U Powell and Cadmen/Dempsey/Comben for Sweet and Dale ( 2 trades)
T/U Cadmen+Comben+Dempsey for Rogers + Sweet + Dale (Hold Powell but would have to use boost to get Dale)
Any extra advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
TU: Miers
TD: Soligo
TU Dale
TD Sicily
Anyone know the outlook on Rozee…his injury limits my Sweet/Rogers options as I also have Draper down back to deal with.
Could cover Rozee in the short term by looping Sharp/Rogers/Wilson/Windsor combo, but at the cost 0f 50+ ppg.
Is it worth trading Grundy for sweet at r2 if it means I can bring in Nic Martin instead of a rookie
Trades atm
Out- Grundy, Powell, Williams
In- Merret, Martin, Sweet
TU- do it
TD- hold Grundy instead and trade sweet in at r3
Who is better value?
TU Green 580k
TD English 591k
Who to trade out for Bont and Sweet (who’ll be stuck at R3 sadly)
TU: Cadman and Darcy
TD: Powell and Sexton
Comment: Powell and Cadman (an extra $100k itb)
TU: Powell and Cadman
Current trades are Williams and Powell to sweet and serong.
TU
Boost (currently 2 left) coffield to rogers for more cash gen and clear a dead rookie, clohsey goes to D7 to loop and leaves Z Ried as M8.
TD
Save the boost
Currently have 27 trades and 3 boosts left.
Locked in is Cadman -> Sweet
TU – Leaving Sweet at R2 for now with plans to get English very soon
Grundy -> Dawson
Powell -> Dale
TD –
Powell -> Dawson
Hore -> Rogers
Thoughts on:
Marshall, Powell, Williams > Sweet, Green, Merrett
Liking the double premo upgrade but running Sweet at R2 risky?
TU – Do it
TD – Rethink it
Are we giving Steele another chance V North Melb this week?
TU – Yes, he will come good.
TD – No, knee heavily strapped, struggling to run and get to contests. BE of 190 going to leak cash.
Out: Dempsey + Grundy + Powell
In: Dale + Dawson + Sweet
