    1. TU: Use last boost to bring in Ryan
TD: Save boost and go for a cheaper option (Sinclair or Hayden Young)

  1. Word is Green avoided major damage to that ankle. A chance to stay in the frame v Dons this week.

    1. Moore really good. Totally competitive with the FWD crop at the moment. Will have smashed his BE and will be well over 500k.

If it makes sense to take a FWD upgrade then, yep. He’s money.

    2. Had Moore last year. Great POD and looks like that way again this year. More experienced now.

  2. Passed up Ryan last week due to having a BE of 165. We all know how that went. Hurts, but feel like he is a must especially with the Saints coming up in 2 weeks who leak points massively to defenders. Have to move forward now. Plan was always to bring him in this week regardless.

    Thinking:
    Roberts > Jones (via dpp)
    Z. Williams > Ryan

    1. I am in the same boat. Only hesitation is he has the SCG this week, which can be a graveyard for defenders (EG Whitfield last week). He averages 100 v the Swans and 80 at the venue (last start 85, high of 120 and low of 30). That said, as you say he is a must and even with an 80 against the Swans he is still not coming down in price (BE 64).

  3. I’ve been planning to grab Dunks for a few weeks. I think he’s the clear M2. Next 3 games are beautiful but that bye is awful.

    Zerrett T/U

    Dunks T/D

    1. Clohesy will be fine. He butchered it today and gave a 50m penalty. Most of GC were pretty off as well. Wouldnt surprise me if he comes back strong next week

  4. Is anyone seriously considering clarry this week? Still dont trust he is fully back, want to see another game

    1. Definitely need to see another week.

If he looks good he can come in v West Coast.

  5. DEF – Sheezel, Daicos, Stewart, Holmes, Williams, Clohesy (Graham, Pink)
MID – Merrett, Butters, Serong, Bont, Walsh, Miller, Green, Roberts (Garcia, Clark, Rogers)
    RUC – Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWD – Flanders, Jackson, Reid, Fyfe, Wilson, Darcy (Campbell, Nyuon)

    $11,500 ITB, 26 trades left

Got a bit of an issue, so much of my forward line needs fixing, as well as other players elsewhere peaking too. Not sure who to prioritize trading wise

  6. Is zorko worth bringing in, given the lack of forward options? Or am I paying top dollar for him?

    10

    1. I bought in last week and not rewarded then- but was this week.
Will be a top 5 forward Imo- so need to pay up at sometime.

  7. Sunday night trade thoughts

    Out: Yeo, Roberts, Darcy
    In: Bontempelli, Stewart, Darcy Jones

    TU or TD thanks

  8. Haven’t looked thoroughly yet so plans may change depending on BE’s and selection. But early doors with about 600k to spend, what’s the priority target

T/U: A Def such as Stewart/Dale/Sinclair (best value options but my def rookies are strong)

T/D: Zorko/Moore (Fwd a priority area with the weak rookies)

    Comment: A sub 600k midfielder

    3

    13
    1. T/U: A sub 600k midfielder (this option nets me the highest scoring player most likely with Steele who looks to be the best option but will he be close enough to top 8 to be worth it? Rather than a Stewart or a Zorko who may do so in their respective lines)

      1

      0
      1. Not sure about Steele still. Watched him closely and that knee still troubled him. See him as a 100-105 player now vs 120+.

One of thw GC boys (Miller, Anderson) better value with their fixture coming up

        2

  9. After that debacle my season is over, so just going to do this and delete the app lol

    Darcy, Roberts and D’Ambrosio out
    Ryan, Bont and Jones in

    24

    1
  10. My strategy is all about getting rookies off the field.
My squad was imbalanced as was okay in Backs and mids but Reid was F4.
    Therefore my trades are
Out – Sheezel D’ambrosio and Darcy
In – Stewart Moore & Hayes.

Going to carry Yeo and Green this week with the Gold Coast rookies who are playing North so hopefully will go okay.

      1. I remember a few years ago I think it was Motts cashed out Travis Cloke after a particularly rich vein of form over half a dozen weeks. I think he reached in the vicinity of $670k. Of course he then back tracked all the way down to mid $400K’s. Bit much money had been made.
Now that Sheezel has been moved into the midfield I think his scoring will dry up and that potentially he will cop a tag.
Anyway that’s my rational and only hindsight will see if it was a good or bad move.

        5

        6
        1. Shaggy, 100%. I did a similar manoeuvre with Tex Walker 2/3 years ago. Its all about if there are more pressing issues in your team or if you have a boost or not. I won’t do it because I have 3 injured players I am sweating on and still 6 rookies in my 22.
I was comtemplating moving him on for a Moore or Dale then Yeo, Green and Fyfe decided otherwise

          0

          2
    1. I’ve done this in a different way Shaggi.
Traded Roberts to Oliver this week. Still don’t trust chucky much but there is only 50k between them and chucky is unlikely to give me 50’s . Roberts is highly unlikely to give me 140’s!
I’ve also traded z Williams to Heath Chapman…
Williams injured every week and the cash paid for chucky!

      3

  11. Pretty simple for me this week:

    OUT: Roberts, Comben
    IN: Moore, D.Jones

Will have a look at Oliver next week if he backs it up against a strong Blues midfield.

Can’t afford Ryan so will look to get him at a later date

    5

    1. Zorko massive risk with role change & injury/ being rested.

Martin looking like a top 6 defender lock.

      Simple answer imo.

      1

  12. Would love your thoughts. I’m trading out Roberts and Cadman, to a $600k player and Darcy Jones. But due to balance I’m unsure to take either a defender (Nic Martin) or – forward (Moore).

TU: Martin. Leaves me 1 Def / 2 Mid / 3 Fwd on field rookies

TD: Moore. Leaves me 2 Def / 2 Mid / 2 Fwd on field rookies

Should I take the best player, or is balance important?

For context, my forward line is:
    Heeney, Flanders, Zorko
    Reid, Darcy, Jones

    3

    11
  13. Boosting this round. Don’t have L.Ryan, but would need to boot Fyfe to get him…

    T/D – Mass, Roberts, Fyfe – D.Jones, Luke Ryan (DEF) & Zorko
    T/U – Mass, Roberts, Comben – D.Jones, Sinclair & Dale

    8

    21
  14. Thinking:
    Out- Roberts, Darcy, Massimo
    In- Stewart, L Ryan, Sullivan

2 solid upgrades, seems a bit of a no brainer

    13

    1
  15. I was originally looking at bringing in Petracca after seeing a massive price drop coming when he scored 59 before his bye. The next two games have only been 93 & 94 though.

    Is Petracca still top 8?

  16. This week:
    Roberts > Jones
    Z. Williams > Ryan

    Next week:
Darcy > Rookie (best one on the bubble)
    Clohesy > Oliver

  17. Two trades are locked in Darcy and roberts to jones and ryan.

$320k in bank what should my third trade be?

TU – Williams to Martin or Merrett.
TD – Clohesy to Martin or Under 611k mid
Comment – Powell to heeney or any forward. Or any mid most likely Merrett

    10

    1
  18. Current trades
    Out: Darcy, Williams and Roberts
In: Stewart, Ryan and Darcy Jones

Leaves me with a full defence and Daicos in the midfield. NWM currently D6
    Green M7 and Graham M8
    Wilson/Jones F6 with Biggy

10k left over and 1 boost remaining

    All good?

    10

    0
    1. Not sure about having 7 defenders in your team, seems like a waste of a midfield spot. I can’t recommend Stewart either – he’s been in my team since the start and has been extremely underwhelming.

If I was in your situation, I’d be looking at someone like Moore instead. Depends on your bye structure of course.

      1

      0
      1. I can switch Stewart and bring in Parish or Oliver instead. Not sure how confident I am on them either.

If Moore comes in I have Wilson, Graham, Clohesy, Rogers and Garcia as my mid rookies. 5 rookies from only two teams. Powell is then F6. Probably works better with bye structure.

        0

        0
      2. Might go with Moore instead of Stewart. Works for a better bye structure and the Suns play North so Clohesy and Graham should be able to cover the midfield. Wilson can almost take over Powell instead

        7

        1
      3. Stewart missed a chunk of the Easter Monday clash with injury and went off at half time against the lions a couple of weeks back, was on track for a big score that night too.

Been unlucky so far id say and at 523k I would say he is one of the best value picks in the game at the moment. Still a top 6 defender if you ask me and expecting some big scores to come if he manages to stay fully fit!

        14

        1
        1. Also faces Power this week who tend to bomb it down his throat so has scored really well against them for the past few seasons.

          3

          0
  19. Roberts is gone for Jones, deciding between Campbell or Darcy to also go.

TU: Campbell > Mckay, Moore or Rankine
    TD: Darcy > Zorko

Whoever I keep is on field unfortunately, but if I don’t get Zorko this week I’ll have to use my last boost to get him next week or pass.

  20. Hi team have locked and loaded these 2 trades

    S.Darcy > D.Jones
    A.Cadman > T.Stewart

My question is do I use my last boost of the year for
    M.Roberts > C.Oliver?

    T/U I like your thinking
    T/D Don’t do it

    23

    4
  21. Going to hold Roberts for now. This week I’m thinking Mass & Comben to Moore (via DPP swings) and Jones.

    7

    1
    1. Stewart was on track for 150. Last quarter he slowed down and it was reported he had a ‘tight quad’. Can wait another week on Stewart with his high BE. Any week Stewart can be as good as Ryan

      5

      0
      1. With Phillips out & Simpkin playing a bit more forward, Powell got some of his CBA’s back on the weekend.

He attended 52% CBA’s – up from 14% the week before

But still down from his average of around 80% CBA’s in the first 6 x weeks

His disposal efficiency on the weekend was pretty ordinary, but he looked OK

So I am holding him through these few price drops, and hoping he can get back to the 90 + scores that he has already managed four times this year

        3

        0
  22. I usually refuse to pay 600k for a defender upgrade but Ryan isn’t showing any sign in slowing down. Do I just bite the bullet and cop it or continue to hunt for value and trust the process?

    TU: Get him in

    TD: Look to value

    11

    15
    1. Wasn’t anyone lining up to get him after last weeks 106 and the 89 the week before! I’ve had him all year but it’s never as good as it seems!

      5

      0
  23. Libba – Oliver
    Darcy – Jones
    Williams – Young

Banking 150k for next week, need to hunt value to catch up this year, will hurt watching Ryan dominate again…

    8

    0
    1. Libba is out indefinitely due to concussion, after suffering his second concussion in a short space of time.

      4

      1
  24. Trading in:
    L. Ryan
    D.Jones

    Who to trade out?

    TU:
    Powell & Comben

    TD:
    Roberts & Williams

    18

    8
    1. Willims was injured (not sure how bad) & Roberts has lost his sweet half-back role to Rampe

Powell was at least back in the guts

      6

      1
  25. This game being what it is as you all know…. Should I trade out Luke Ryan this week since he’s bound to get injured or spud it up with everyone else trading him in?

    14

    1
    1. after Sydney he has Collingwood and Saints, both great matchups for defenders. He could be $700k in 3 weeks

      4

      3
  26. With Libba out time to trade who to put in Zerrett or maybe a bit of a POD M. Crouch.
    T/U Merrett $55k ITB
    T/D Crouch $155K ITB

    27

    0
  27. Trade out Caldwell? didn’t see the game was he really injured?

    TU – trade
    TD- hold

    13
    1. Was tightness not a structural injury as far as I know, so you might be okay.

      4

    2. Jye Caldwell’s calf scan is given the all clear this morning.

He is set to play against GWS this Saturday.

      4

      0
  28. Trading out Darcy, Cadman and Roberts and bringing in D. jones, D.Moore and clarry as m8 with 112K in the bank and 1 boost remaining after

    TU – Go for it
TD – rethink and try again

    16

    5
  29. Thinking:

    Libba > L.Ryan (via DPP)
    &
    M.Roberts > Merrett

Only leaves me with 11k ITB and I miss out on Darcy Jones but bring in 2 guns.

    Thoughts?

    28

    0
  30. After an absolutely craptacula score last round, I am pulling the rip cord on my last boost. Holding (and praying) Green is good to play.

    Massimo to Ryan
    Libba to Clarry
    Darcy to Jones

    And leaves $157 ITB

    15

    0
  31. Thoughts on Lachie Sullivan?

With all Collingwood injuries at the moment is he likely to hold his spot?

    15

    4
  32. TU: Roberts & Darcy to Ryan/Merrett and Sullivan/Reville
TD: Roberts & Nyuon to Oliver and Jones

    4

    7
  33. Hi all, advice needed.
I need to bring in Ryan but need to transfer one of Fyfe or Roberts to facilitate this. Which one should be traded

    TU Fyfe
    TD Roberts

    2

    21
  34. All things being equal at team selection, I am going with these 2 trades

    S.Darcy > D.Jones
    D’Ambrosio > Clarry Oliver

My question is do I use my second last boost of the year for the below trade now – as the difference in price between these 2 x players will start to widen I think:

    Grundy ($584,800 / gone up $102,900 / aver = 112.8 / BE = 107 / 4 x scores under 100 & seems to play well every second week / & tough SC finals draw to:

    English ($612,700 / gone down $102,400 / aver = 117.4 / BE = 80 / 1 x score under 100 / & better SC finals draw

Amazingly English is currently only $27,900 more than Grundy

T/U Yes – do it (English is more consistent & will score better)

T/D Don’t do it – waste of trade as Grundy will still be good for the whole year

    7

    15
  35. Forwards are obviously the big concern this year so who do I grab before their price increases too much.
Confident both are likely to finish in the top 6 forwards.

    T/U Zorko

    T/D Moore

    2

    20
  36. Can use 4th boost to trade Fyfe to one of the following 4 options:

    T/U – Whitfield

    T/D – Stewart

    3

    18
  37. Big watch on rookies this week

    Sullivan 102k mid
    Reveille 102k m/f

Both should get run of games through injury

Then there is Dear 117k F

And one guy who I’m seriously thinking about being my permanent bench forward in Hayes 228k F

    Time to gather a warchest…
Bye bye fat rooks in next 2 weeks, R10 and R11 just in time for upgrade city limits R12 and R13…..Gulden, Green?

    8

    0
  38. Started round with 2 Boosts and 24 trades left.

    Have done:
    Roberts -> Ryan
    Comben -> D. Jones

Is it worth using a boost to trade Powell / Williams / Dempsey to McKercher?

    4

    10
  39. Looking to use my second last boost this week, seeing off D’Ambrosio, Libba and Roberts to bring in Oliver, Jones and which option?

    TU: Parish ($528,600, BE 28)
    TD: Moore ($521,600, BE 21)

    6

    13
  40. Horror week last week, really hurt. Considering what to do with yeo, with Roberts and d’ambrosio looking like two cash cows ready to go.

Tu: Roberts and d’ambrosio -> Darcy jones and merrett 184k itb

Td: yeo and d’ambrosio -> Darcy jones and merrett 370k itb

The top one probably means I hold yeo till he comes back if he’s truly only gone for 2 weeks. Not sure whether I should cut my losses. Is there any chance yeo is back in a couple of weeks and stays top 6 defenders from there?

    6

    1
  41. Two options for me this week.

T/U Roberts + Cadman to Luke Ryan + Darcy Jones

T/D Roberts + Harley Reid to Oliver + Dylan Moore

Option T/U leaves me with a complete backline, one mid spot and 3 forward spots to fill and 115k ITB. I would have enough cash to get Oliver next week.

Option T/D leaves me with a complete midfield, one defender and 2 forward spots to fill and 26k ITB. I will be able to get Stewart next week unless he goes ballistic.

    Comment’s welcome.

  42. Whats our thoughts on sheezel? Merit in trading to ryan this week or are we giving him another week?

    3

    5
    1. Sheezel is a top 6 DEF. I wouldn’t be trading him out at all without further info. Surely you have other ways to get Ryan?

      7

      0
  43. I have had to adjust my earlier thoughts of including Sheezel in my list of trade outs due to the injury to Yeo.
    So now it is
    Out- Yeo, Comben & D’ambrosio
In – Ryan, Moore & Sullivan.

Comben could be Darcy but I think Comben good for solid 50-60 only but Darcy has greater ceiling.

Ryan – get him while you can.
Moore – shaping to be a top 6-8 forward and balances my squad as was getting to premo heavy in mids and backs but still having H.Reid at F4.
Sullivan – just think he has better JS than Jones. I also love a mature age recruit.

I will seriously be considering Hayes next week if he has another good score. Bonus would be if he can get Fwd/Ruc DPP. If anyone knows his % time in ruck last week would be great to know.
Surely with Libba out indefinitely Sanders will come in – at least I hope so although a serious sub candidate.

    5

    0
    1. I find Sullivan has no JS. Will likely play this week but De Goey and Mitchell should likely to return when he is on the bubble. Quite a competitive list.

Jones looks a lot safer and already is on the bubble. A lot of GWS forwards seem to be underperforming and should be dropped before him.

I’m fine with the other trades as I’m currently bring in Ryan and Moore just Jones instead of Sullivan

      3

      1. Your source?

        St Kilda
Ruck Contest Percentage – Round 8
        Marshall 55%
        Hayes 30%
        Owens 6%
        Membrey 6%
        King 3%

        3

        0
  44. D’Ambrosio, Berry, Roberts to Oliver, Stewart, Jones.
Leaves $193.7k in the war chest to upgrade Darcy/Cadman next week.

TU: Do it, gotta take the value when it’s there.
TD: Pay up for bigger options.

    13

    2
    1. Depends which biggies are not in your side. If you already own Ryan, Daicos, Merrett, Serong, Bont etc. then going value is fine this week. If you don’t have those guys then target them first

      1

      0
      1. I get the thinking, but the biggies not in my side have hovered in the +/- $30/40k mark of their starting price all season. They will go up and down all season and I’m quietly confident of picking them up around the same price another week. If Oliver/Stewart get back to what we know they can do getting them at this discount is surely the go?

        2

        0
  45. Unsure which premo to get. Appreciate your help.
I have Diacos, Sheezel, Houston, NWM, Roberts, Clohesy in my defence and Serong, Bont, Butters, Dawson, Steele, Miller, Green and Graham in my mids.

TU – Roberts, Comben to Merrett or
TD – Roberts, Comben to Ryan to complete the mids

Aim to get Stewart next week.

    2

    6
  46. Need a cheap mid with some sort of job security. Sullivan might get a few more games Reville DPP same price with Lions injuries good be another. T/U. Sullivan. T/ D. Reville

    4

    8
    1. Nic Newman 515k, 1% of teams
Scored 148 last game against Collingwood
Been below par this season but can fire if he hits form
Last season his last 8 games were an average of 117.6 with his lowest score of 92 against WC

Others may be McGrath or Sinclair in less than 5% of teams and 3rd average of 105+

      13

      1
    1. Interesting. OK so what if I was considering one of these two for this week –

      TU: L Ryan
      TD : Serong

      1

      2
  47. Too many players I want to trade out of my team….but need to keep one of these for at least this week

TU: Keep D’Ambrosia, trade out Powell (BE of 104). D Moore would be the in.
TD: Keep Powell, trade out D’Ambrosia (BE of 94). L Ryan would be the in.

Leaning more towards keeping Powell as there are fewer good forwards to replace him with then Defenders. And I think L Ryan is a MUST. And not getting any cheaper….

    0

    21
  48. Have 22 trades after this week, but cash gen is looking a bit dire. Should i boost to get McKercher? Negative breakeven is very attractive.

    TU: yes
    TD: no

    0

    16
  49. Out
    Massimo
    Sheezal
    Darcy

    In
    McKercher
    Oliver
    Jones

In a position where risks can be taken – so going to potentially try and get McKercher low and sheezal high, and flip once there prices change and take the excess cash to deploy in other lines. Nothing to lose here, ranked 30k + so it will be fun to see this play out

    6

    10
  50. Roberts to Mckercher?
Make a quick 100k. Fair shout that if Mckercher continues this role he may score steadily and get to 450k

Only thing is that I do have funds to go roberts straight to Ryan but no bank left…

    2

    12
  51. Thinking to get oliver in this week but have two scenario’s for trade outs:

TU: Reid which leaves 123k in the bank
TD: Darcy which leaves 2k in the bank

    1

    24
  52. Who to bring in this week?
    T/U: Serong and $373k itb
    T/D: Oliver and $536k itb

The one I don’t get will probably come in next week for Clohesy

    TU: Neal (M6)

    TD: N Martin (D5)

Almost same price, bye not a major concern

  54. TU: Serong (BE 87)
    TD: Merrett (BE 114)

Could also go Oliver but think I’d rather one more look at him this week.

  55. I have cash enough to turn James Jordan into anyone via DPP.
    Do I go
    Luke Ryan TU
    or Bont / Heeney TD

  56. TU: Comben > Jones, Roberts > Luke Ryan, hold Rozee

TD: Williams > Jones, Roberts > Luke Ryan, Rozee > Heeney

  57. Is it worth doing an upgrade of

    Thumbs up
    Windhager – H.Young
    Fyfe- Neale
Roberts – Jones (GWS) via Comben to def

    Thumbs down
I can do this or get Stewart and Dunkley instead of Neale and young

    1. Fyfe has been great…he was basically “rested” last week. Roberts game being effected by Rampe return. And Fyfe has dpp.

  58. Really stumped on which trades to do this week.

    TU-
    Sam Darcy to Darcy Jones
Matt Roberts to Zach Merrett (4.1k in bank)

    TD-
Roberts to Jones via DPP with Powell
Sam Darcy to Sam Flanders (56.1k in bank) with plans next week to downgrade rookie and upgrade Powell to genuine premo.

    1. I would TD that (at moment). My thinking is Flanders a must have, clear Top 2 FWD and yet to top out in price.

Merrett is uber-premo but there are also other options in the Mids.

  59. Trading out this week – D’Ambrosia, Roberts & S Darcy (WB)
    Trading in –

    TU = Sinclair, D Jones & Merrett
TD = L Ryan, D Jones & one of Oliver or Moore (Hawk)

    1. Hi Lisa

I have the exact same 3 x lads coming out of my side (D’Ambrosio & Roberts & S Darcy), and am bringing in:

Darcy Jones & Jack Sinclair & Clayton Oliver

Have owned Sinclair in the past, and he is generally very consistent. Had a few more CBA’s than usual last week against North, but he can also score well playing at half back. St Kilda have lots of games at Marvel to come

I already have Merrett, he has been just consistently brilliant – so don’t hesitate to bring him in.

I watched Oliver closely last week, and he looked pretty good.

As I have most of the gun mids already (except for Butters), I have decided to bring Oliver in this week at his low price – but he definitely comes with some risk 🙂

    2. Sinclair has been fairly up and down so far Lisa. I have him and I’m still not sold! Like the consistency of the t/d imo

  60. If I want Oliver and Ryan this week, I need to move on Luke Jackson. Thoughts?

    TU: Yes. Do it now!

    TD: No. Don’t be silly.

  61. Trades this week:

    OUT: Roberts, Comben
    IN: L Ryan, D Jones

I’ve got 1 boost left and $94k in the bank. Worth boosting to go Powell -> Oliver?

    TU: Yes
    TD: No

  62. Hey everyone! So I’m thinking this…
Comben out D.Jones in and Mac Andrew out and Steele in.
    TU-Go for it
    TD-Find something else

  63. TU: Roberts, Comben, D’Ambrosio -> Oliver, Moore, Jones

    TD: Comben , D’Ambrosio -> Butters, Jones

(So basically, does Roberts and Butters outscore Oliver and Moore)
Mids I have – Bont, Trac, Green, Steele, Dawson, Merrett

  64. Yeo owners, do we keep him or sideways trade to another premo? Ranked top 2% @ 4.1k

Current back 6 is Martin, Sheezel, Ryan and Daicos, Yeo, Roberts, Graham

    Thanks

  65. TU: Use last boost to bring in Ryan
TD: Save boost and bring in a cheaper option (Sinclair or Hayden Young)

  66. Hi,

TU – Trade Roberts & Darcy for Ryan & D Jones

TD – Trade Roberts & Campbell for Oliver & D Jones

    Thank you!

  67. Out Z Williams, Roberts and Jackson
    In Ryan, Oliver and jones

Pros – getting two gilt edged for the season
Cons- using last boost, losing top 6 fwd in Jackson and selling Jackson at his low ( as an alternative l could trade Whitfield instead of Jackson)

    TU good trades DO it
    TD no don’t do it

  68. This week I could get Ryan for Whitfield and
    get Merrett for Jackson

    Do it, good trades
    Don’t, sideways trades

    Merrett finishes my MID:
Serong, Merrett, bont, butters, Walsh, Touk, Trac, Green

    TU – Martin
    TD – Merrett

  70. Not sure which way to go, Merrett helps short term with Green out – but if Ryan keeps going it could hurt to not have him.

    TU: Merrett
    TD: Ryan
