Tuesday POLL : Post Round Six Stats

Written by JimmyDee on April 23 2024

Round six is done and dusted, four bye rounds have already been and gone and your team should be settling down a little since the turbulent start to the season.

I don’t know about y’all but I preferred the good old days when trades were gold and you actually had to to plan their use and the navigate the byes with thought and skill. My impression is that nobody cares any more. Forty trades is heaps, right ? Who cares that it is a bye round, we will just trade out X for Y and then trade them back in because we get nearly two trades per week and you cannot run out, surely !!

This week’s POLL starts with the stats side of the first six rounds. What is your rank, how many trades and boosts and how much you have in the bank for future assaults on the market.

What is your overall rank after round 6 ?

And specifically Zac Williams. BE 62, last round 33 to hinder cash gen for a while and a possible achilles injury to scare the pants off you. Projected 65 and average of 67 is not inspiring. NB Michael Voss stated the achilles is a corky and they were being cautious, still AFL speak for “beware” or not ?

Is it time to pull the pin on Zach Williams ?

Upgrade season strategy next. Cheapies on the up, low priced capable of being high achievers, fallen premos or established stars worth the money. Let us know your thoughts in both the poll and the comments section.

Which of the following strategies would you prefer to use for near future upgrades ?

  1. Ranked 3435 but rising rapidly in recent weeks after being $67k after R1
9 trades and 2 boosts used
    $50,500 ITB
Walsh should be top 8 mid if he stays on the park & Williams to make way for his arrival this week.
28 on the park with Reid and Livingstone not playing, which at this time of the year is a first for me. My side has never looked stronger with cash generation everywhere and Dawson & Grundy returning to my S/C party, but Emergency loophole options obviously thin ! Sure they will turn into a team of spuds this week after their weekend heroics (2100 playing Sharp over Roberts only to match my opponent in my cash league as I was winning)

  2. Have 170k left over after these trades below so any suggestions on other premos to bring in instead of Walsh and Houston would be appreciated. Premos can be any position or price, looking for value and at minimum top 10 in their position by end of season.

8 trades and 2 boosts used before trades this week
Thinking of using a third boost to go

    Out: Sanders, LDU, Zac Williams
In: Sam Walsh, Dan Houston, and a rookie yet to decide who

  3. Questionable on Walsh. Passed him last week for Miller and that didn’t work last round. Does Cerra have an impact on him is another thought?

Will look to bring in Green in a couple of weeks after a 72 and 82. Will hopefully be a lovely sub 550k.
Same with Stewart I’d say being at 500k.

Will be 26 trades, 3 boosts and 82.5k itb for next week

  4. Regarding Walsh, Cerra will have no impact on his scoring, nor will anyone else. The only question to ask is on his dodgy back. He will avg top 8 easy, just, is that 6 games or 16.
