Today we are concentrating on the hot topic of under performing premos and and the relationships of our trades pertaining to them. Widely debated in the trade talk and a heavy favourite in the polling station, are the many questions around these characters and what to do with them.
I’m not going to highlight the individual players as every SC team will have differing versions of this much maligned character, although this could become a future topic if the numbers warrant it.
The gist today is whether this year appears to be the year to complete these trades, given that we have extra trades and, there seem to be so many of our expected stars not performing to their SC potential holding many of us back. Is this the way to go or do we stick to rule of not trading premos ?
Part two deals with with the number of trades used, for general site statistics, followed by a specific question on how many premium, or near premium players have already bitten the dust, despite not being injured. This section will be a great section for the naming of those players in the comments to draw debate and and put your case forward.
As always, thanks for participating, the folks on this site really appreciate it.

Thanks Jim. Can we have a zero on the last question?
Sorry folks, absolutely my bad.
For the final poll, a selection of none is required.
‘near premo’, midpricers 300k+?
For poll 2 I assume that is based off the first 2 rounds and not this current week
Was leaving it a bit open Nato, but was thinking around the early to mid $400s upwards. Most questions on the site seem to relate to those above $500 and not performing. eg Doch, Young, the Brayshaw types.
5 trades, Stewart, 3 rookie corrections, midpricer swap
No trading of premos yet but tempted to go Ridley/Darcy to LDU/Grundy this week to get an underpriced premo and a “cash cow”.
Gawn /stewart.
Upgraded hopper to Richards.
Swapped goater to sheezle.
Swapped ash to ziebell.
Swapped chesser to Chandler.
The Gawn /stewart combo hurt a lot.
Traded doc to Naicos, RAT to Chandler and Chesser to Setterfield.
Made over 200k extra and an additional 80points on field last week. Doc – Naicos has proved to be okay at the moment. It allowed cash to upgrade to setterfield.
Ranked 12000 odd. 6 trades already lol. It’s been a nightmare start.
Xerri injured round 1. So I had to restructure a bit.
Xerri>English
Ash>Mackenzie
Chesser>McKenna
Then Steele gets injured and Esava is a dud in round 2.
Steele>Cameron
Dale>Daicos
Esava>Setterfield
Now Cameron has to go lol
Well he didn’t have…. To Wighty.
Keep me out of this !!!
I’ve had a horror start but don’t quite hate my team. Just need the 80s to turn into 100s again but I’ll back in the likes of Doch and Macrae to repay the faith.
4 trades so far
Round 1 was Jones and Stewart out to Young (who I’m still holding cause I believed he’d be a premo all off-season and a couple of rusty games won’t entirely change my mind) and McKenna (who seemed like a must have cash cow that round)
Round 2 was Steele and Chesser out for LDU (who I last minute picked over Daicos and hate myself for that stupid decision) and Ziebell (nearly grabbed Setterfield but felt Ziebell had a better chance of being in my finishing team and the dpp will be handy).
This round I just have the Cameron issue and I’ll probably just bring in Grundy for the one trade. A second to get cash for English would mean culling a cow early like McKenna or Phillipou but I’d prefer to get at least a few more price risers out of them but hoping that Grundy can rise in price enough before Gawn is back that it’ll justify the call a little.
My only trade involving a premo was Docherty -> Daicos, which was more about Daicos than it was about Docherty as I’ll probably bring him in once his price bottoms out.
Just Ridley to Daicos as my premo correction
