  1. From a Carlton perspective I’ll have a good look at Levi Casboult, Kane Lucas, David Ellard and Jeffie Garlett.

From the other teams (for the sake of argument lets call them the losers), Goddard will be first picked again, I’ll run the glasses over ALL Freo rookies, Swallow on the GC, Jesse White and Kieren Jack in Sydney, Dustin Martin if his price is decent, and a couple of the WC rookies from this season: Strijk and Smith – but their prices will have to be around the $300k mark.

    1. Have you heard about Lethal being open to coaching again? If true would you advocate sacking Ratts to bring him in?

  2. It’s all going to came down to next year’s fixture, with the byes and what not, you might have to plan you’re team to it. I myself like be looking at the players who’ll be under priced i.e Bartel and Joey (Currently).

    1. also sandilands, ablett, maybe gram, enright…all cheap as chips….might change by the end of the year though…

      1. Hey Cam FKAC, I’m pretty sure those blokes wont be cheap as chips. I’m confident they don’t set the price by how they finnished, but their season average…. and finger in the air. Sandy and GAJ still have pretty awesome averages, so I’d be guessing around $660k-$710k for those two unfortunately ๐Ÿ™

  3. With two super seasons behind him, will Swan be the first mid picked by most coaches, in the same way Ablett was at the start of this year, or will coaches hope for his price to drop?

  4. Andrew Swallows brother who will be playing for goldcoast next year wil be a gun & will be the most popular rookie in super coach sides next year.think his first name is david.

      1. I was on youtube before watching some TAc cup highlights of scully trengove martin and such and you wouldnt believe how often josh toy pops up, even drew a luke hodge comparison from one of the commentators. Deffs one to keep an eye on

  5. David Gourdis – tall, athletic, rebounding defending has been a consistent performer for Coburg this year and has been named several times as an emergency for the Tiges. Might even get a gig in the coming weeks.

  6. I will closely look at GC, I need 11 Rookies at the start of the 2011 season so I can buy premium players in as many possies as possible, anyway thats my plan for my 2nd year of SC

  7. anybody think Hedghogs price will drop much if he keeps sucking the way he has been the last couple of weeks until the end of the season?

  8. Like many others I’ll be looking at Fev, if he’s priced close to his current price then he should make a resonable cash cow. He’s got guranteed game time, and as long as he doesn’t keep scoring 1’s he should make some dosh.

  9. Personally Harley bennell will be my first rookie as well as the gc ruckman as my bench ruck, my first premiums will be Selwood and Swan

  10. I reckon Luke Shuey (WC) represents excellent value next year. We all know he has had his injuries over the past two years, but hopefully its onwards and upwards from here on in.
For those of u that still have him in your team, he played for East Perth on the weekend for his first game back and had 20 possies and kicked 2 goals. His efficiency was outstanding, will play before the end of the season.

    1. That is a sensible call Dave because it is always a good policy to pick as many premiership players as possible ๐Ÿ˜‰

        1. Charlie is a gun & will be a good underpriced 2nd ruckman in my team. The incredible Daicos, the Herculean Gavin Brown & the immortal Darren Millane would have to be automatic inclusions as well.
This 2011 team will be very hard to beat. Especially when I bring in Peter Bosustow, the greatest full back in Caaarlton’s history, Geoff Southby, and the greatest two Weagle defenders in their history Bluey McKenna & Glen Jakovich.

          0

          0
  11. Petrie will be looked at for 2011, he had a great year in 2009. Also be looking at Gram as his year was ruined by injury

  12. Gotta look at who is coming back from LTI’s as potential bargains as they will be cheaper next season than what their current price is listed as. Drummond, Kreuzer, Petrie, Ziebell and Seaby all represent value in this category. Also there will be a goldmine of value at GC17 as someone has to score points for them. Even if they are smashed week in, week out in 2011 they will steal get at least 40% of the magical 3300pts. Daniel Harris is almost a lock for me as my first pick for SC 2011. He’ll rack up 100+ each week sharking other ruckmen’s hitouts.

    1. Now that’s a good one Roo Boy…. Dummond has been in the top 3-4 defenders in the comp and should be cheap cheap, Krooz may be second Ruck next to Sandy.

        1. I heard he’s ‘keen’ to make season opener…. either way, if he doesn’t play round 1, he wont be in my team

          0

          0
    2. Speaking of LTI’s ,and i dont know if he counts, but if brock McLean can get fit hes surely a certain starter next year and may be a cheapie to look out for. Theres also ricky petterd of the demons who will be an automatic selection once his shoulder is better and he will probably play perma FF next year.

      1. Im just interested to see how they work out his price. For a player that back in 07 had an average of 119, since then he hasnt been able to put over half a season together.

        0

        0
    1. well im not exactly sure why they chose 3300 points, but it is to take into account the weather, if its a close game, if a team is smashing the other team it will score more points than the other team..it is to kind of ‘weight’ the two teams against each other…

btw most times it adds uup to be just under 3300 points…

i hope that helps/ makes sense

  13. Thanks Cam you make sense but the total 3,300 does’nt, so players total scores are not always accurate I would presume

    1. It just means that every game is equal, moderating the overall scores. It’s why if you watch the supercoach scores qtr by qtr there is often a slight difference of a few points when the final scores pop up in supercoach.

3300 was chosen as that was the average amount of points scored over the first couple of games/season, or something like that.

  14. I think Swallow, Marc Murphy and Jack will take the next step and become A graders next season and great buys. Beams will improve and Pendlebury will get better. Rioli will become more consistent. Palvich will start off at a low price and rise. Drummond is very tempting but he is injury prone. Danial Harris (GC) will be a super buy and I’m sure the majority of teams will include him. Fevola will be tempting also, he’ll start at around $180,000. I have both bench ruckmen worked out (if it is limitied to 2); Smith (GC) was great on weekend in VFL and will be a consistent player and Fitzpatrick from Melbourne looks like a good one. Lots to look forward to!

  15. I think Shaun Burgoyne might be worth a look, finally settling into his new side. And I reckon some like Cale Morton or Chris Masten could have breakouts.

  16. Shaun Burgoyne, Rohan Bail, Dayne Beams, James Strauss, Ayce Cordy, Andy Ottens, Steele Sidebottom, Ben Reid, Jake Meksham, Gary Rohan & Ben Griffiths will all be under my microscope & the GC early selections + Danny Stanley & Harris.
No Ablett next year I’m thinking @ present.

    1. I think i may be more cautious about the mid priced picks next season. I was significantly underwhelmed by Ziebell, Vince, Ladson, MacDonald, M. Brown and Dangerfield this season. They have ALL been traded out. To make my trading more efficient i will err on the side of a rookie over a mid-priced pick next season.

Alot of the strategy will depend on how SC works with the byes i think. Really curious to see how they end up working around the byes, especially the weeks when half the league has a bye.

  17. If all goes to plan hopefully my mid line will be this H.Bennell, D.Swan, J.Selwood, M.Pavlich, R.O’Keefe, T.Scully (A.Gaff, D.Swallow)
