  1. I’m a bit worried about Mills.

No CBA’s this week. He played on Cameron all game.
    No kick ins either.
How he still managed to score 101 astounds me.

Hopefully Rampe’s back soon, or they give Will ” The Ghost ” Gould a run. I need Mills back in the midfield asap.

I know this is sounds crazy.( but the forwards are mental atm. If you had told me Ziebell, Tex and Impey would all be in the top 5 for overall Forward scores at R 8 .

I would of laughed in your face !

    Now laugh in mine.

    Jake Stringer. $325.100.

30 CBA’s last week. Is he their new midfield Bull ?

He’s injury prone as hell but he’s cheap. Looks as fit as I’ve seen him in years. I actually like his Bye as well. If he makes it that far 😉

If I had a few more trades I may take the risk.

This year has been way outside the box.

    Are you feeling lucky ?

    1. Afternoon, FT.

Wouldn’t worry too much about Mills.

First time this year he was swung back to defence for a full game. Looked like the Swans accepted from the outset that the Cats engine room had them and reverted to a more defensively oriented game, with Mills’ experience temporarily being better used to try and account for Cameron then Rohan.

Still a Top 6 DEF, dw.

On Stringer, that’s a no from me.

I can see the rationale of adding a big bull into the on ball brigade given the small frames of Zerrett, Parish and McGrath, but 30 CBAs for 18 touches is a diminishing return. Noticed he burned/rarely handed it off to his fellow MIDs who were in better positions and instead just blasted it (72% DE, 4 clangers). Similar to De Goey, I think Stringer’s utility FWD will see him end up back there.

      1. Hey GD

I’m not going there myself either.

Forwards are just so hard this year. I thought I’d throw another name in the ring. He “Looks” like he has the right role, but as you mentioned the stats don’t shine.

I also think your right about him reverting to the norm and ending up Forward.

Any trades for you this week ?

        1. Yep, FWDs doing my head in as well and dictating my trades this week:

          Chapman -> Frederick
          Rowe -> FWD premo

Thinking Bolton, can score well with or without a high CB load and playing in a strong side – looks like he’ll end up Top 6 or thereabouts. He’ll join my current FWD line of Ziebell, Marshall and Martin, leaving Warner and Scott at F5/6 which I think is fine for now.

*Hall also piquing my interest, just need to see maybe on more game to overcome my apprehension to bringing in a “premo” who was a med sub earlier in the year

Yourself? Also looking at a FWD this week?

          1. Yeah Id like too but only really have $469K if I go Gulden.
with one trade, so I missed the Bolton train.

I don’t own Dusty so I may get him and a rookie RCD? next week. Ridley hopefully the week after.

I don’t mind the look of Fredrick but with Jones and Highmore on my D bench and Kosi still making cash. I may have to pass.

Don’t go Hall, he’s more injury prone than Stringer 😉

Thanks for all the great Captains content every week.

Hope Bolton works out for you.

            1. Cheers, FT.

Know I root for B. Crouch each week for you lol. Two week trade plan sounds good.

              Catch ya.

              1. Thanks mate.

He’s a crazy POD but I like a few out of the box.

Looking forward to Captains this week. Its starting to get a little tricky with both G&G facing potentially tough Oppo’s.

Can’t wait to see your thoughts.

                Have a good night.

                Best of luck this week.

  2. Greg Swann Chief Executive Officer of the Brisbane – “We did have a discussion today. We have a weekly hook-up (of clubs) and I think the good thing is the bit of demand for the teams to come out on a Thursday night – I think the AFL is looking to bring back in. The clubs were all fine with that.”

    1. In a poll conducted by the League’s official Twitter account on Monday, more than 94 per cent of the 13,313 votes conducted suggested fans were in favour of the old model.

No clear timeline is in place for the return of the Thursday team announcements, however, an announcement is expected in coming weeks.
