Saad was named in the email I got from the club with the squad listed in it for Friday ??!
Our youngin’s to watch: Wilkes, archer (oft. mistaken by fans at open training as Roo until I inform them otherwise, lol), cripps, winmar, ledger, milera, seb Ross (likened to Pendlebury in his game style), saad, siposs, stanley.
Out of these I expect Wilkes, cripps, siposs and saad to get the most game time. Hoping Tom curren will get some game time this year I can’t believe they havent given him a chance yet (#43)

Do you not think seb ross will get much game time? I heard he was BOG for the intraclub…

Yes he played fantastically, but don’t forget Lenny is back… They are also at looking at pushing Roo into mids as well. He’s competing against them, Montana, NDS, jack steven (arguably between him and macca for most improved) for gametime. Also peake has been playing well. Then therr is jones one of he games beat taggers. Hope watters breathes some life into our club and gets rid of the cobwebs.

totally unrelated, just saw you talk about taggers. Geelong has lost arguably the best tagger in the league in the paddle pop lion. Who will be the No1 tagger down at the cattery and how will it affect Geelong?

Does anyone know whether Jed Lamb will be getting many games this year? Is he developed enough for that. I heard he was going to be the next Stevie J but I don’t know that much about him…

Cam Guthrie could be eased into the midfield via a tag. Maybe Mackie and Hunt will be used in more influential roles given the relative lack of experience at the Cattery this year.
RE. Guthie I was looking at him as a cheap back with more JS than the rookies (maybe). Who are the Cat supporters on here again? Need the inside skinny. I know it’s not Catta. He’s far too smart for that.

The Big Sexiness is somewhat of a Cats follower. Try him.

Of course, I’ll tap him up next time he’s about. I’m eyeing off a cheap back who is a step or two ahead of the rookies. Guthrie & Howard are on the radar. How bout Touhy? Best 22 or at least a shot at half a dozen games to give himself a chance?

Good call Deano. Was a bit of buzz around him last year and might be more chance this year under Watters.

Poor Motts I was super excited to see him (cripps) play for the first time and it was against the blue baggers, he had to listen to my excitement. All that for about 30sc pts, haha! Hope he does better this year, only a handful of games and all about the same amount of points from memory in 2011. I do think he is a good young player though so either this year or next few. Will be spitting chips about Walsh this year, have a feeling he will get quite a few goes.

Off topic but I read today on one of the two main sites in its preview to Fri night’s games that the Saints are fielding a team with only three players from their best 22 missing – …….., ……… and Raph Clarke.
I would be very scared if I was a Saints’ fan to think that Raph was in our best 22!

Goodes plays GWS first round, and Bugg looks to be one of GWS better young players. I would go option A

Thoughts on young Tom Mitchell. I gather he is missing due to a minor injury
Worth holding onto or better to give him the chop?

The last couple few spots at the Swans are very competitive and he probably won’t play round one, hold off and downgrade to him later.
