  1. Whilst BJ’s 188 was outstanding I had to give it to Rockliff. His 140 after last week’s 95 has seen him shoot up almost $60k in value. Very happy I persevered with him.

  2. I also gave the nod to Rockliff. Performance of the round isn’t necessarily just the domain of the highest scorer. Rockliff came off my bench to cover Franklin’s suspension and posted a huge 140 to lead my fwds. With Franklin back this week i may have to do some juggling between MPP to fit Rockliff onto the field.

  3. Goddard as Capt.

Massive fan of Rockliff pre season, even got 4 mates to trade him in but I let him go 2 weeks ago after he wasnt doing anything in the lions fwd line. Someone tell me what has happened & where these scores have come from?

  4. Couldn’t go with Goddard coz everyone has him and it cancels out so I went with boomer coz he was one of the few suprised in my forward line this week.

  6. Trade Opportunity; All comments welcome.

Gia/Ballantyne into Chapman & Watts…..Rockliff becomes F7 & Watts joins D.Hughes on f/l bench. The Question is; will Watts play every game to be adequate bench coverage. Watts could potentially be David Astbury of Richmond.
    or;
into Daisy Thomas & Fyfe…..Fyfe or Rockliff are F7/8.

Trade cannot be contemplated if Maguire is out this week & Kennelly doesn’t return, unless Roberton is selected.

    1. Little early to be contemplating trading fit players until we know the outcome of all the injuries/reports from the weekend. When you have blokes like Enright, Pods, Sandi, Waite, Higgins, and Maguire all with a ? over their heads you need to be patient.

      1. You are completely correct Motts, discretion is advised early in the week, and a lot of concern has been generated by the various ailments & possible suspensions that may or may not happen this week.

I try to have at least one active player on every line to come in at a moments notice.

I don’t have Enright, Waite & traded Higgins into Didak last week.
If need be, Trengove covers Sandi & Rockliff covers Pods who looks likely to miss @ least one.
Maguire is the concern for me as I noted above.

  7. Really pleased with Neon Leon’s energy and output. I’m way down on trades so he was always going to stay in my team. Also happy with Martin’s 98.
Really displeased with the injuries to the other Davis (who should be dead), Hille and Higgins and the reports of Enright and Pods.
Oh, and that’s the second week in a row I’ve had Rocky on the bench. Rassem frassem.

      1. Wow. That’s a dilly of a pickle! To put it in context, Jack is our only capable forward atm which makes him all the more valuable, whereas Martin has ‘capable’ midfielders around him like Foley and Cotchin. They will both improve and both be stars in a struggling side for years to come but if I had a gun to my head I’d go with Martin simply because he’s a midfielder and he works a bit harder.

        1. Good considered response. Was fascinated to see Jack’s stats against other full forwards at the same age in last week’s papers. Could he one day overhaul St Nick? Dare to dream, Mike!

          1. If only he was half a foot taller. But he’s got all the other attributes of a great FF, especially the way he looks up at himself on the big screen.

On another topic, I wouldn’t mind putting $100 on Brodie Moles to win a Brownlow at some stage. He’s got sublime skills in close and a huge kick. Reckon he’ll be a star.

  8. I put Higgins on the bench and brought on Rockliff, and won my game, so yeah he gets it from me big time.

  9. Jude ‘ Working Class Man’ Bolton, 193 SC points with 36 possessions which included 26 contested possessions,11 clearances, 12 tackles, 6 inside 50’s and 4 scoring assists. If he’s name was Gary Ablett everyone would be creaming their pants but with only 2,428 coaches owning him in SC land, his efforts will go unheard of, Great work Judey.

        1. Disagree, your comments on him not being in the elite category was uncalled for, then to back that comment up with his scores in his last 5 games was over the top to say least. As I said Jude Bolton was my performance of the round and I don’t see you criticizing anyone else’s choice expect mine.

          1. My comments regarding Bolton were not based on your selection of him as a performance of the round.
They were based on other considerations, namely, who is this guy? what can he do for me? if he really is Jesus in disguise, then why haven’t I got him, or, at least looked him over?
The subsequent comments I made were following the thread of my discoveries about Bolton and his lack of suitability to my SC team.
They had nothing at all to do with your selection of him as your performance of the round.
My mind has been focussed on if I can bring in a decent def/fwd to accompany Chapman into the team and is he a dpp and will he fill a 7 spot or a bench spot, and will it be Ballantyne, Kennelly or Maguire that I’ll trade out.
