  1. 179 / 2 / Dangerfield into Docherty

Merrett was great, Steele was not. I guess this means that, on average, my start has been… average?

    1. Same here. First Friday match I can remember where I both had nobody on my team involved and nobody I might want to bring in on either side. Nice to be able to wait for more information before having to make any moves. Replacing Cripps this week.

      1. I also had a zero. But I’m still cursing myself for talking up Hurley a few weeks ago, and then not having the guts to get him myself. He’s All Australian this year.

  2. 253 / 2 / Danger into Doc

Now that the optimistic start has passed, we can move on to our regular late out segment of the week.

    1. I’ll Bench Nank. He is up against Martin (17 vs 52 hit outs, 11 vs 18 Disp last time they played in R4)and The tigers confidence is very low now so it is going to be an tight , ‘don’t lose’ gig for them. Buddy on derby and a fresher Greenwood will outscore him big time.

    1. Just to clarify, is it the case that you have both in your team, and you’re wondering which one to play on the field? Or are you asking which one you should trade in?

Just got back from watching my Crows at TIO and happy that my two reps in the game went big – Hibberd/Laird – Thanks boys.

Gaz, Danger, Titch, Adams and Budstar all great.
Harbrow and Goldi, not so good!!

  7. 1,472/13 (C)

Martin (x2), Rockliff, Yeo, Dahlhaus, Bontempelli, Macrae, Docherty and Nankervis to come. Projected 2,351 – That’s with 4 80s so would be nice if they could not spud up for once.

The rain killed Howe and Lynch today taking away both their strengths. Pendles and Newman the only other 2 let downs to far.

Missing Witherden has really bite me in the backside moving forward as I need a playing downgrade and there isn’t much on the horizon 🙁

  8. 1772/16/Abblett, Happy with scores so far, except from (Montagna, Goldstein and Sloane) . I have definitely decided that R. Sloane is not a premium player and next year I will not take him no matter how many points he scores in the early rounds. If he cannot play when tagged, he doesn’t belong to the $600k plus I paid for him. Great effort from Danger, what a champion.

  9. Pies fans in here, what is wrong with Pendles this year?
TU: Just a loss of form like the rest of the team
TD: He is playing a new role

    1. Where do I start with this rant.
Oxford dictionary defines coach as an instructor or trainer in sport.
Buckley’s ‘my way or the highway’ approach installs neither of these. A few facts about Brownlow Medallists as coaches.
1.The Brownlow medal has been running since 1924 and yet has only produced 2 premiership coaches ! Trivia- who are they ?
They make shit coaches and Collingwood has 2 on it’s coaching panel!
      2. Besides from having one of the best recruiters in the business he has still managed to prematurely end the careers of up to 10 premiership players.
3.In comparison It goes to show how good a coach Malthouse was having more than half of his Premiership list coming off the rookie list.
4.Norm Smith, Ron Barassi, Tom Hafey, John Kennedy, Kevin Sheedy, Mick Malthouse, Alister Clarkson, Leigh Matthews all have at least 2 things in common.
5.Voss, Buckley,Hird,Stewart, all have at least at least 2 things in common.
Too put it bluntly , the succession plan was a disaster and what I would really like to see is a Scott Burns type take over for the rest of the season , a la Paul Roos at Sydney.
Providing Collingwood have a half decent coach next year , their players will provide unbelievable value for Supercoachers next year. Will be steering well clear of them if Buckley continues on next year.

So far my decision not to do the double upgrade has been disastrous. Opted to keep Tuohy instead of Hurley for one more week(poll said 7 >27 as too sideways) 45pts lost in that decision.Today will reveal the points difference between Wallis and Macrae. Finally, then put up a poll for Lynch and the Texan and once again the masses elected Lynch. 80 odd points the difference there. Lucky I was only selecting as F7.Joelwood and one of Hurley or Macrae for next week.
