by the looks of that you have traded out 5 players most people would consider keepers. obviously injuries to mumford and carrazzo dont help but gee seems like been quick on the trigger and have been mostly sideways-backwards trades at best

Alright, mistakes have been made…
I wish to keep this boat floating to the end.
In other words, I’d rather not do anything else stupid by wasting trades, while staying in this competition.

Your probably going to have keep Lake, Bugg, Porps and Kreuz all year and start them on the field (unless they get long term injuries). You would have hoped to trade them out but your itchy trading finger has stuffed that up. Just conserve trades your team isn’t that bad if all your premiums were playing. Dont trade for the next 3-4 weeks let your cows fatten right up until they peak (not beforehand).
OBVIOUSLY dont trade Ablett or Franklin. Your cows aren’t the best but due to your very poor trading skills you are going to have to keep most of them. Boumann probably won’t get a game but there isn’t any good back rookies anyway. Saad might get a game sometime this year so just hold him.
I would be aiming to have this team by the end of the year if I was in your shoes:
DEF: Deledio, Goddard, Heppell, Lake, Bugg, Enright, Fisher (Mohr/Ellis, Rookie)
MID: Murphy, Pendlebury, Selwood, Ablett, Watson, JKennedy (Shiel, Rookie)

Devon Smith is done in my forward line I think. Will get either Pfeiffer (Port) or Crisp (Bris). Not sure if there are any upgrades I want to do. If Porplyzia misses again, I’ll probably use the cash to upgrade him to Beams. Only used the 2 trades so far and want to keep moving up the rankings!

Im having massive issues with my team and 2 trades per week just isnt enough to be able to repair it. I currently have Shaw, Ablett, Mumford, all sitting on the pine and this week Selwood will be joining them. I want to move Mumford on but I just dont know who to. Sandi worries me with injury, Cox’s scores arnt very impressive. The only ruckman that is really firing at the moment is Nic Nat. But with Giles doing the job is it worth getting a premium ruckman? I dont know of any other rookie rucks getting consistant games to downgrade to. Have 470k in the bank so dollars arnt the issue. I also wanted to try and get Pendles in this week before he starts to jump up again in price but I need to try and fill holes in my backline. My team is:

This week i got the worse score I think i have ever scored in supercoach! 1791!
Need some serious moves to be made. Had big C on Mitchell! 55!! when was the last time he scored that badly!?? Malceski subbed off at half time. Smetdts on ground for 3. Porps late out giving me D Smith 17. Ablett and Sandi on pine along with C Dempsey and Bower.
This weekend not looking any better with potential that these guys will all be out – Dempsey, Bower, Malceski, Ablett, Sandi and Porp.
Kreuzer horrible last two weeks! He scoring worse than most ruckman right now.

You might as well keep him, he’s back to playing. If you’re worried about his scoring potential with the busted shoulder, check out his scores from last year.
In round 7 or 9 (can’t remember at the moment) he dislocated his shoulder. I think from then to the end of the season he got 100+ in every game bar 2-3?

D.Smith is on my chopping block, though I am considering keeping him, simply because he’s yet to make enough $, and he’s getting games. Also, he got 11 touches once coming on as sub… Inefficiency and clangers killed his score.
Once that nasty 17 is out of his system, he should be able to hit 300 K for EG.

Hale sitting on the pine as i have more confidence in Giles cannot go on so he will be lucky to survive the week. His price is on the way down & my original plan to move him into the forwards is not looking feasible as a) Sam Rowe does not look close & Redden also not great cover incase Cox & Giles go down and b) Hale is not looking in the 80 to the odd ton sort of form i had hoped for.

He will score better if McCauley is dropped. (who came in at last minute for Birchall) I’m in the same boat but actually have McCauley too. If was bitter sweet having McCauley start as it meant he jumped up 50k but killed Hale’s potential score. Good luck which ever way you go….

Hi guys. I have a new thread to suggest. How to maximize your cash cows.
I know we are still a couple of weeks from cashing them in but it might be worth thinking about our options.
This is my approach.
Step 1 – decide who to cash and who to keep. For me giles is a keeper, old mac is a cow.
Step 2 – know your target. There are 2 options. Premium that has bottomed out or a mid that is injured and ready to come back. (Thinking varcoe here)
Step 3 timing. When will the cow be ready vs the trade up option. Do the planets align?

Not sure about Birchall but had that knee knock two weeks ago. I thought he would play considering he was in team last week and again this week but late withdrawl both times. This has just cemented my opinon that Clarkson is so annoying when it comes to supercoach he plays a SC friendly style but then come end of year rest all his players. He is never straight up about players and there injuries always trying to play games with other teams. This is one reason ive not traded in any hawk players.

Lots of trade down targets coming in the next few weeks you’d feel with the Lions yet to blood many rookies and a few of them coming back from injury and dominating the reserves. Looking to add Rockliff and Kennedy as two possible upgrades in the midfield but neither look like bottoming out anytime soon.
Pfeiffer would be a handy get for those of us who opted out on Treloar and got burned by the other Kennedy over the weekend. Devon Smith would probably be the one to go this week if I had to make a trade though.
Will keep Fyfe until he’s completely gone and Pavlich has yet to fire a decent shot but hopefully Lyon releases him into the midfield for longer spells so he can get his hands on it.

Hargrave > Taylor is a bit of a sideways move. I don’t really class Harry Taylor as a premium in SuperCoach. As much as he’s averaging 97 this year, I can’t really see him averaging over 90 by season’s end to be honest. Has the ability to score 100 (5 times last year, including a 142 in Rd1), but plays shutdown roles quite regularly (7 scores less than 53 last year) Happy to be proven wrong mind you, but I reckon there are juicier options for an extra 20K. (Newman, Heppell)
I also don’t think you need to be trading out Hargrave at this stage. He’s still going to rise in price a fair bit (Breakeven 36), providing he’s fit for this week.

So far, just the Carrots >> Pendles upgrade. Might look at bringing in Michelle, but don’t really want to trade Magner, JMc, Milera or AKennedy. Crapps now has a 72 in his system so could rise some more, plus DSmith will get more game time and should get close to $300k at some point.

Porps hasn’t peaked he has a break even of 25 he could easily go up another 100K if he can get a few more games before his body breaks down once again. JRoo wont be a keeper this year he’ll have a few 100+ games but most likely will get 60-70s as the tigers forward line has changed throwing Vickery and Miller in there means he isn’t top dog down there. He doesn’t get up the field nearly enough and his form isn’t the greatest so I wouldn’t consider getting him this year.
