Vice-Captaincy Candidates

PETRACCA v Cats

Going to be a one man band again with Satan not getting up. Cats midfield alright to crash into right now, so he should be solid for 120.

DUNKLEY v Saints

• L3 v Saints: 80, 131, 127 (113 av.)
• L3 @ MRVL: 149, 108, 90 (116 av.)

Windhager goes to him or Neale but his experience at Marvel, form and early game mean he’s still a decent candidate this week. Goes 130 if left alone against a struggling Saints side.

GULDEN v Eagles

• L3 v Eagles: 84, 90 (87 av.)
• L3 @ SCG: 62, 93, 156 (104 av.)

Had a quiet month but he and the Swans should relish a soft kill in the Eagles. Comfortably tons with obvious scope to go large.

Captaincy Candidates

SERONG v Dons

• L3 v Dons: 77, 73 (75 av.)
• L3 @ OS: 108, 135, 105 (116 av.)

His numbers weren’t actually that bad last week – just dragged down but heinous DE. The Dons are by no means a good midfield match-up but it’s ride or die for Freo at the moment. Fires on all cylinders for 125. Same deal for Zerrett despite being away from home.

LAIRD v Pies

• L3 v Pies: 100, 154, 144 (133 av.)
• L3 @ MCG: 105, 98, 84 (96 av.)

Much prefer him and Dawson at home but it’s slim pickings this week and the Pies are not the same side Baird used to beat up on but it should be a high stoppage, heavily contested affair. On for 120.

DAWSON v Pies

• L3 @ MCG: 99, 112, 104 (105 av.)

Hasn’t had a C worthy score in a while but, again, there isn’t much on offer. Dawson a true flyer this week as the Pies at the G is a true inversion of his preferred low stakes at AO. Purely a call on him rising to the occasion to go 130.

Steer Clear

DAICOS v Crows

• L3 v Crows: 72, 163, 53 (96 av.)
• L3 @ MCG: 118, 100, 125 (114 av.)

The Crows took the Pies to the edge in Round 7, in part due to a tag on Daicos. Keays got the job last time. Can see Crows pressure boxing him into a flat-ton either way.

Smoky Pick

ANDERSON v Hawks

• L3 @ HBS: 189, 89, 71 (116 av.)

Should relish a return to Metricon after 5 weeks on the road. Hawks like to open things up. Anderson solid for 115+ if you’re in need of a late fall back.

Verdict

Think I’ll still sweat Dunkley into the Saints and Windhager just given the upside he has at Marvel. Laird then penciled in as C, with Gulden as a dice roll if I want to spice up the weekend.
