4 degree melbourne mornings!
Selwood swan and pendles all on mi mids bench….
Bringing home Impress music mag last night to find half of someone’s Parma in page 4.
on in the medical rooms or at the selection table. One such example is that of Brent Stanton, he was never going to play last week in Perth due to the fact he has a “fear of flying” condition. He wasn’t even on the plane and what ticks me off is that Hibberd was his replacement, whom I have in my side. If we were told of this earlier I would of had him on the ground instead of someone else.
The list goes on and on Buddy the week before and so on, in the states NFL teams have to give a daily injury report and advise us if a player has missed practise or has had limited practise due to their injury. The AFL is still in the stone-age era when it comes to things like this and much more. Rant over.
The sub rule!!!!
Points Against is getting on my goat
The Bye,that is all.
Swan,Pendels, Adcock,Smith, Mundy, Selwood,Dawes,Montagna all out. To add to Sandilands, Tapscott and Matera. Not much cover left. I am starting to feel like i should go down to the bakery now and get my doughnuts.
hmmm doughnuts
5 days between matches, way too long!!
We need mid week entertainment especially with the Nba finished.
Patty Dangerfield – Lift please, with Selwood and Mundy out i can’t afford to trade you out like planned. You are meant to be a potential A-grader. At the moment, your best is too fleeting. Frickin lift i’m going to add you to my ‘never’ list with Chappy and Missy Higgins.
Jeddy Adcock – Where have you gone?? Surely in a shite team like yours an experienced defender shouldn’t have a problem racking up a few possies – the ball’s down there all day for goodness sake!!
Sam Thiaday lol
Two words – Zac Smith
In him i trused a safe pair of hands whilst 211 was out. Great performances to date but am looking at the big doughnut for this week & potentially next as well so may have to use a ruck trade which i have tried to avoid.
Motts, after teams listed tonight is there any chance of a list of the SC applicable rucks.& projections on when injured players will be back as i am sure i am not the only one with only Cox fit in the ruck, Petrie in the forwards with no DPP and potential to move on Sandi or Zac Smith to a) prevent dougnut, b) improve cash c) improve ruck flexibility with DPP. Hale, Kirt Tippet or Joel Tippet. Also is Derickx unlikely prior to Rn 24 & therefore a trade option to J Tippet? Any info on Smith or Sandilands looking like playing next week would make trade decision (if any) a lot easier.
All those Cats fans that are saying Duckwood’s hit on Guerra was soft and didn’t deserve 4 weeks. News flash handbaggers: it was a thug act off the ball and deserved the full 4 weeks, maybe even more. Guerra has a broken ear drum for christs sake. If it doesn’t heal properly he could be permanently deaf in that ear. How on earth is that a soft hit?
And the Geish giving his tick of approval to 2 attrocious umpire calls on the weekend – the advantage call made on Cross and the no free kick for hands in the back call on Buddy. Basically Geish is suffering from a chronic case of “I say it’s right, so it’s right and my say is all that counts”. Pull your head out Geish, every man and his dog saw that Cross had no advantage and Buddy got pushed in the back before the ball had even arrived at the contest.
End rant.
Missing two days of SCT comments and having to catch up on every word whilst pretending I’m working on a report that’s due before lunch.
The Bye for me. It’s added a component to the game that ticks me off. There’s no way around it this year but hoping things are back to normal next year when then numbers are even again ….. assuming there’s a full quota of matches each week?
Fair enough on the 4 weeks for Joelwood for what it was, but what about an instant reduction if the damaged player actually plays the next week and performs to their average level? It gets my goat that I have to use a trade because of a suspension.
It gets my goat that the collingwood bye comes when mundy selwood and smith are all out in one week! GAH. wouldve been better if it happened last week!!!
Did you get your report done Omen?????
what gets my goat is that in collingwood last 12 matches of the season ( rounds 13-25) 10 of those are at the MCG, HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO PAY THE AFL BOARD EDDIE MCGUIRE????
back pain, enough said.
Good old General Soreness is the most annoying excuse for a player missing, we have enough trouble covering players that have the bye and are injured let alone those who would play if it was in September… if you want to rest a player just say it!
For those who are on the cranky side and want some light relief, check out this new one from Ben Crane, Bubba Watson, Hunter Mahan and Rickie Fowler called Golf Boys

Funny stuff
So much to catch up on! Been flat out with new job lately and havent had a chance to get on here as much. Missing it! so much gold 🙂
Some how looking okay for the weekend. Got petrie moved into rucks to cover Z Smith. Dont have mundy or selwood or Pendles. Swan on bench for another week okay. Harris on ground for cover, not the greatest but can live with!
Really sick of Dangerfield! – someone mentioned above. had enough of him so gonna trade him out this week!

A list of things not to do in SCT:
Don’t:
1. Post imposterous comments (pretend to be someone else).
2. Ask for advice every day/week unless you contribute to other posts.
3. Be a serial disliker of comments.
4. Spread rumours about player injuries or provide mis-information.
5. Complain about the use of player nicknames.
6. Preface every post with “I really need some help. I’m desparate.”
7. Post the same question 15 times.
8. Expect to get a reply within 5 minutes.
9. Forget to use proper punctuation, spelling and grammar.
10. Get wasted on Friday night and unload your wrath on SCT.
11. Promote other SC websites.
