      1. Surely yes. The precedent has already been set. Extra trades to cover additional bye rounds over a compressed schedule where players will be rested etc.

The only question is how many? 4 minimum!

            1. I don’t mind either way. I just think the precedent is already set. Happy to be wrong. Either way you’d expect SC to confirm before this evenings game.

              1. would be ideal if they did … but we give them too much credit if they manage that! Maybe more likely over course of weekend or even more likely on Tuesday after round 12 complete and before R13 starts with a few days in between?

      1. In Rd3 I had 5 Dees/dons out but did manage to avoid any donuts. I dropped a few thousand positions. Others like you had it worse but it did not help me. My comment about extra trades is purely about the precedent set in current compressed rounds. Rd3 was unprecedented. As much I would like more trades for all of us, I did not anticipate it would spark more Rd3 backlash and won’t be outraged if there are no more trades. Your current ranking proves that the injustice of Rd3 has not ruined your season. Well played sir. Now, respectfully, isn’t it time to let it go ? 🙂

        1. Calm down all you Rd3, anti-mask, flat Earthers!

No extra trades, is not a problem. Just sayin!

        2. RIYP, the backlash speaks for itself. Macca, months ago summed it up beautifully….just be fair was what he wanted. That is still my position….Sir.
As for my ranking….I have been higher in previous years, but this year is my finest achievement.

          1. Wighty, seriously if you feel that extra trades is somehow unfair to those who still feel aggrieved by the events of Rd3, then I hope we don’t get more. I will say it one last time. I am referring to the precedent established in the compressed Rd9-12 period. The additional 4 trades were explained as being to cover players being rested during compressed rounds. Yes? Based on that then I it would be reasonable to assume something similar for Rd14-17. Just being logical. I am fine to manage with existing trades if that is what we have. Just expect SC to confirm either way ASAP.

            1. RIYP….the extra trades in r9-12 were fair to all.
That is not the case moving fwd with punters able to adjust for not previously having dons/dees players, and the advantage that gave them that they can now utilise…especially if extra trades are granted.
              Yes ??

              1. Wighty, for you this is still all about Rd3 but it has nothing at all to do with that. I am sure you can still make good use of any addition trades that are allocated. Nothing to do with Rd3. Happy trading.

                1. RIYP
Like many, just want to hope that the disadvantages of R3 are not magnified by rds 14-18 and adjustments to trades.
Just want it to be fair all round. Is that unreasonable ??

                  4

                  7
                  1. There is no correlation between Rd3 and adjustment of trades in Rd9-12 and most likely also Rd14-17.

                    1. 1 additional trade for all players. 3 trades in round 15, best 18 in r15, best 20 in rounds 14 & 16. It’s usually best 18 when 6 teams have byes, 4 less. So 2 less when 2 teams have byes is still better than normal 6 team bye rounds

      1. Extra trades were for the compressed rounds 9-12 which included 6 teams having byes. Nothing to do with the Rd2 restart.

  1. It would be great to know if we get extra trades for the upcoming bye rounds – would help make the decision on what to do with Gawn that much easier. Without extras, it’s going to be tight on trades trading him out and trying to trade him back in after he’s back, played a couple and dropped in price.

  2. If we get extra trades, a lot of teams will be similar by years end. I’d leave trades as is for the frill and pain of playing this odd season.

    1. Banned Ess/Dees game which sent teams down the ranking never got rewarded. Told to suck it up and it’s just a game.
Now we have teams wanting more trades cos the bye has hurt them. 34 trades is enough.

      1. Beautifully put Max. I fell from 4k to 32k in r3 and am now 1600……RIYP will hate me saying that again, but time for others to suck it up like we were told. Extra trades means we innocently cop it twice !! Its not as if this was an unexpected thing. Unlike us in r3, punters have had ages to prepare.

        1. I too Wighty fell down a cliff to 55,000 that round. Hard slog getting back up the ranking to 8,800 now.
Happy to keep trades as it is.

  3. I don’t think we should get extra trades. Trade management is integral to SC, blowing up in finals with zero trades then injuries is how you learn to play. We all knew the byes were going to effect the finals.

Just wrapped it’s not the Prelim or Granny. It makes week one of the finals so important. Win that and (if top 4) no more bye stress (just injury stress)

    1. Here here !!! Those that have been reckless, knowing what might lie ahead, will be the biggest champions for extra trades.

      1. I did read and gave TU to Go Hawks post. I agree with the principles of disciplined trade management that are expressed well. In discussing the rationale and precedent for additional trades there are no irrelevant references to Rd3. Good post.

  4. Sorry for my ignorance, just wanting to clarify – what round does the regular season end and when do finals begin?

    Cheers!

  5. Why don’t they skip the massive bye-round and if needed give maybe 2 extra trades, then finish finals Rd18?

  7. I’m one who copped a fair whack in rd 3, dropped 11k spots but I’ve just tried to make the best of it . Don’t really think that everyone should get extra trades now. Suck it up everyone!!as I was told., its turned out I’m in a fair position in rd 15 when a lot of teams on bye, now if we get extra trades all of my planning and buying in players who have had byes will be negated .

    1. Bravo! Well said BP.
I planned my whole team around these upcoming byes.
Got my pants pulled down in Rd3 by the banned game and tried another way to win my leagues. Giving out extra trades again, Why?

  9. Don’t forget you are able to utilise the double emergency in bye rounds. Must work like this, an emergency score only needs to qualify i.e replace a non playing player and their score will count if it’s in the best 18.

  10. I’m confused… what’s the final word on Round 15 in supercoach world? Is it a bye in league play, meaning Round 13 will be the last round, R14 will be first week of SC finals, and R16-18 being the last 3 weeks of finals play, with the SC GF in R18?

  11. I didn’t realise so many people “lived” their supercoach. Personally I’ve enjoyed the changes and adaptions, I’m down for whatever they throw at us. I love hearing the blind trading catastrophe stories, its a good laugh.
