Game Chat – Brisbane vs St Kilda

Written by Thommo on July 10 2021

Where and When: Metricon Stadium, Saturday 10th July, 2021 at 7:25pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Rd 13, 2020: Brisbane 6.14 (50) def St Kilda 7.6 (48) at the GABBA.

Last 5 H2H: St Kilda 3 – Brisbane 2

Thommo Watch:

Brisbane: Neale returns (again), Zorko and Rich have been in great form and Lyons has been one of the best midfielders of the season.

St Kilda: Jack Steele just keeps getting it done and is a viable captain candidate most weeks.

Match Preview: The Lions are looking super impressive at the moment and dealing with St Kilda at Metricon should be a mere formality. The Saints have won two straight and are starting to look more like the team we expected in 2021 but that still doesn’t make them good enough to topple the Lions. St Kilda does have a reasonable recent record against Brisbane but I’ll stick with the home side to win on the Gold Coast.

Thommo’s Tip: Brisbane by 12 points. (Tipping record: 26.5/45)

    1. Good luck with Dunstan Wighty, he’s resurrected his career with his play the last 6 games or so. As a saints supporter I’m both surprised and delighted, hope he can keep it up, because we need this version of him in the future.
Go saints in the 2nd half!!

  1. Passing on Steele at $570K is right in the grand final of the most bone-headed moves I have ever made in Supercoach. Machine!
