Game Chat – Fremantle v Collingwood

Written by Thommo on June 25 2015

Although Collingwood sits fourth on the ladder with 8 wins and 3 losses, few people believe they deserve to be there. The common consensus is that they haven’t beaten any good sides yet.

Well this is their chance: Beat Fremantle at home and they are the real deal.

But can the Magpies win? The Dockers limped in to the bye with a close win over Gold Coast and a loss at home to Richmond so their recent form isn’t great, but it’s hard to look past the 9 straight wins that started the season. Ross will have motivated his charges during the week off and will want to bring theirย famous Dockers’ pressure football tonight, so the Pies will have to be brilliant to beat them.

Thommo’s tip: Fremantle by 25 points.

  4. Seems like Pies got the umpiring early but Freo roaring back with any 50/50 calls and really kicked some flukey goals. Tigers also had the luck of a Johnson injury early so respect to Pies even though it looks like a loss. And im not a Pies man. White didnt take his chance. Pendles ob injured so glad I stuck with Fyfe C despite all the hype for the pies C.

  5. Not a bad game to watch. Pressure was intense at time but the dockers just stood up better when it counted. And geez the umps make some bad calls, that goes for both teams.

  8. Does any one else think Buckley could be to blame for this loss. Oxley who wasn’t doing to badly subbed of when white had done little. Sandi was winning all the taps against him anyway if the argument was that witts needed back up? Thoughts?
