Game Chat – North Melbourne vs Brisbane

Written by Thommo on June 19 2021

Where and when: Blundstone Arena, Saturday 19th June at 4:35pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Round 12, 2020:  Brisbane 7.11 (53) def Kangaroos 8.4 (52) at Metricon Stadium.

Last five H2H: Brisbane 3 – North 2

Match Preview: Facing North in the second half of the season will be no fun for the top teams. Brisbane will receive no credit for defeating the Kangaroos but they will cop plenty of flack if they drop a game here. In the first half of the season that seemed impossible but the Kangaroos have improved enough to sneak the odd win from any team not at their best.

Just ask the Giants last week who didn’t enjoy their trip to Hobart last week!

Thommo Watch:

Aaron Hall made an excellent debut last week and Ziebel has been the forward selection of the season.
Can Neale return to the glory of his 2020 season? Many teams have also brought in Lyons this week.

And screw you Zorko!

Thommo’s Tip: Brisbane by 18 points (tipping record 19.5/37).

  1. Nth a chance of taking a big scalp today IMO
    Smashed my hawks
    Drew with GWS
Starting to play some good footy

Brizzy probably won’t be able to get into top gear @ chilly Blundstone arena like they would in sunny GC
McDonald back will throw the cat amongst the pigeons
Lest hope there’s no more injuries & it’s a good game

  2. Oh dam not again i captain Ziebell and i change it ahhhhh Brisbane Lion kicking is paying off for Ziebell

    1. Looks like a reduced time on ground for Hall. Him being rested or North trying something different

  3. Great time for me to bring in Hall. half way to his projected at 3 quarter time. Man forward options are ridiculous this year.
