  1. Ok hoping the pies are competitive tonight. Watching Grundy, Crisp and mini Daicos. Also hoping Steele doesn’t go big coz I couldn’t fit him in! Go Pies

  4. Evening, all.

Steele VC, Daicos, Grundy (as Darcy replacement) and Owens benched for me tonight.

Hope everyone’s had a god week.

    • Tough go GD but logical thinking. See how he goes next week and if he delivers use a rookie correction before price increases. R/f flexibility will be big this year I reckon

    • Yep – Hayes may be undersized (height wise) for a ruckman.

So he will struggle to score too many points from his ruck work.

Grundy jumped all over him at one point at a centre bounce down.

But he works hard, he knows where to go to get the footy, he has good hands, and it also looks like he has pretty good skills.

Very encouraging first half of AFL footy from him 🙂

    • Ryder misses a lot of games and ain’t getting any younger. I think Hayes will play 10+ games and if his form stays, they may keep Ryder as a break glass in emergency.

  6. Well. I f*cked up on Hayes. No doubt.

Took Durdin’s 71, so wouldn’t have had him in field but this guy’s coming in for me the minute Owens gets dropped lol.

Nice work to those on him, especially if you’ve fielded him!

  7. Well this performance from Hayes has been a surprise and is making me reconsider my team.
T/U – Keep current structure and have R2 Witts and D4 Chapman
T/D – R2 Preuss (obviously take Hayes score this week) D4 Sicily

  8. Just looked at the SC scores on fan footy. I have Hayes on the bench a the C on steele. I give up. I know nothing about SC.

  9. And while we are at it … just WTF is Steele doing tonight???? 7 clangers so far (2 frees against in that), but woeful scoring … anyone who took Tracc instead of Steele well ahead!

  10. so lucky I passed on steele this evening and rolling the dice on titch..
but knowing my luck titch will be a late out with covid haha

I’ve had a few deep breathes, calmed down and giving crisp a lifeline he gets one more week to prove himself.

  11. Can’t decide for my M3…

TU: Josh Kelly (Better value having started last season in the forward line, but injury history)
TD: Darcy Parish (Higher ceiling but susceptible to a tag)

  12. Had decided to roll with Long as my loophole, to take Macrae’s VC score (and because I couldn’t afford any other playing rookie to replace him with). Long was my captain on the mid bench with Daicos my emergency. Long now switched with Rachele to the forward line, with Hayes my forward emergency. More than happy to take his 123, even with Daicos’s 99 . Love seeing rookies scoring well. Not so happy with some of premiums though – Crisp & Steele. More worried about Crisp’s role – Lipinkski seemed to taking the points that Crisp was getting last season.

    • nice play Lisa having Hayes on your FWd bench with the E … I had too much on my plate tonight and too rushed and completely forgot to swap him with Dixon to FWD bench as first playing reserve from the two to give possible option of taking his score if he went off … just goes to show that you have to be right on with everything!

    • Nice Lisa…I had Hayes as R3 so can only get his score by swapping Witts to Benning, then I have to find a $400k fwd from who is left to play by trading Long. Think thats a bit extravagant and will also cost a trade somewhere along the line I would think. Nice advice for the future from Macca about the timing/placement of players with the e. A ton from Witts will ease the pain !!!

  13. Is it worth bringing in a donut for Martin (rookie) up fwd to be able to take Hayes score?

    Tu; Do it
Td; Its round 1, have rookies who are going to play and generate cash!!!

  15. Its only 1 game in R1 – risky reading much into it – wait for a 2nd week – how often do people chase points that are gone in this game.

  16. Great debut by young daicos only difference between himself and his dad is his old man could kill you with 15 touches , just ask bruce doull, but the kid is off to a fine start

  17. Baldwin out. Non playing R/F loophole in.

With English and Hayes now scoring threats seems a better way to complete the loop then Hoping Preuss gets FWD in week 6

  18. I was $100 short of being able to bring in Lipinski so stuck with Curnow in the forward line. Hayes would have been an emergency.

Supercoach seems to be a bit like golf. There are times that you think that you can actually play. Other times, you’re just an old man looking for a golf ball.

  19. N Martin > Voss (102k fwd/ defender)

    This enables me to take;
    – Hayes score
    – Future donut for vc loophole
    – Can swing down back with SDK & McCartin in future for more forward options.

Have to weight up how safe Martin is in that Essendon side. Thoughts?

    Tu; Go for it
    TD; Hold Martin at F8

  20. Jade Gresham ( 109 ) is a bit of a forgotten man in all this. With Jones out for a while, Gresh looks to be getting the midfield time. I would be keen to get and CBA numbers. He comes with some injury risk at $299K 2 goals and only 2 tackles is a little worrying too as he probably needs goals to ton. At least his 85% TOG bodes well. If he’s playing more like a 60/40 split he may still come into contention.

Anyone else possibly eyeing off the Gresh ?

    • Yeah maybe Gresh in the fwds but still an awkward price point $299k. Depends on how Xerri and Brodie goes or Crisp next week who was the biggest disappointment and needs to improve or needs to go (poss downgrade Def and upgrade fwds). If you are only playing with a 3 premo Def you wouldn’t want to do that I don’t think.

BTW dodged a bullet in ‘Relton’ Owens, that Intel was a bit off the mark hey 🙂
