  1. Evening All.

    Great to have Football back

But not every team is playing and Supercoach starts next week.

    Disgraceful

  2. Grundy looks fierce. Crowd revving him up. Good start.

What else I’ve noticed: Salem and Heeney OB, Maxxy limber, Roberts started on field with Lloyd back.

    1. Also, Gulden directing traffic at stoppage. Such a great player AND lock it isn’t funny.

  3. Grundy 2 frees against. Really physical, has the HOs over Maxxy atm.

Haven’t checked his score but isn’t super relevant. All about eye test tonight.

  4. Gulden and Jordon on 6 and 9 at quarter time
Glad this round doesn’t count otherwise I’d be stressing on my whole preseason decisions already haha

  5. Jordan exiting my team. Windsor lively but uncertain whether that will translate to points. Billings is an expensive sub …goodbye. Back to guns ‘n’ rookies. Welcome L. Jackson

    1. Could be an upgrade target if he continues to play onball but Adams, Parker and Mills will all be back at some point.
And as a starter he has the double bye curse.
      Looks good tho.

  6. Laurie and Amartey were both subbed off in the 3rd term.
Gives positive news about some cash cows and their JS/sub vest risk

  7. English and gawn lasted all of 1 hour.
Looks like Grundy and forced his way back in. He monstered gawn and schache tonight.

Not sure Windsor at his elevated price has done enough for me as well. Roberts and Jordan both big ticks.

    1. What did everyone think of Blake Howes game ($123,900 DEF / 91 points)?

Seemed to use the ball pretty well, and took some nice intercept marks.

Who does Melbourne have coming back to take his place – maybe Petty?

So I am guessing that his job security is not great – although Bowie looked like he injured a shoulder / collarbone tonight

Anyone seen much of Blake Howes – or are a Melbourne supporter that can let us know who might push him out of the side?

      Thanks in advance!!

    2. Not sure writing off a champion after one game is a good move. Grundy was clearly pumped for this game and played out of his skin.

      1. Certainly not writing off gawn, wighty. He will bounce back he’s a star. I’ll be running GAWNDY now. Bank the $240k from English.

Hopefully kiddy coleman works his way into my side tonight.

      2. Max started really well, i think he was about 60 at half time. Second half swans ‘roughed’ Maxy up a bit. they took notice of what Collingwood did to him last year. i think max had a negative 3rd quarter.

i think the slippery conditions hurt max more than Grundy.

My team has gone from English/Grundy to Gawn/Grundy to English/Gawn. have a missed a combination yet?

Grundy’s built in score will help his price increase

    1. He started very slow in the game. 18 of his 26 disposals came in the 2nd half. Would have been on 30 AF points at half, assume SC was similar.
You’d need to take that into account, but I’d look more at him after his bye

  8. Worried about Gulden with Warner looking so good. I’ve swapped over to Green with his easy early run. Might be a case of Warner scoring well one week and then Gulden the next taking those points. ??

  9. I took a bit from this game….
AFL screwed us in the fantasy world – I mean Gulden would be a lock but because he has the extra bye he needs to score better than he did. Unless you can run 1 mid short during the early bye with best 18 I say he’s in but yeah big call.

Grundy, Heeney, Jordon, Roberts all locked and loaded on field from the Swannies.

From the dees I will only be starting with Howes if he can snag a few games together. 91 is too juicy for a basement rook $$$$

Fading for now – Oliver, Gulden and Tracc, All 3 are on the radar after their bye.

Gawny gawny gawny looked like a old man. Strapped calf, hands on knees at times. Think I’m passing.

Billings should be in no ones team. Hopefully gets dropped and can come in later.
Windsor look Ok in stages. Could save 40k getting a 123k rook instead though.

FYI – Swannies have lots of power to come back. I think its time to visit the South Melbourne market again for a dimmy after September glory 🙂
