  1. 2,223/Grundy/6,070 before this round.

Was looking at 2,400+, but Mills & Greene out sunk those thoughts. Still reasonably happy considering I had three donuts. Big shout out to Mitchell & Walsh for carrying my team this week.

      1. I went with Captain Grundy thinking he’d smash De Koning in the ruck, didn’t work out!

        1. Same here. Expected Grundy to smash it! Perhaps his time on ground was a little lower than normal? At least that’s how it appeared to me .

  2. Rolled out a 2500 with injuries to Dusty and Jelly which is worrying considering I’ve only got 1 trade left. Happy with the score though.

Posting for a change only because I captained Newcombe and got extremely lucky and almost scored 2100.

Don’t f@$k up your loopholes people.

No trades left – had to field Madden instead of Langford, then Dusty goes down, then Mills and Greene don’t play (2 krispy kremes) then Jelly goes down.

I scored 2683 last round, what a difference a week makes.

    Prediction:
My overall rank goes way way down!

    Wish:
Bye scoring best 18 for the rest for the season!!!

    1. Argh. Terrible luck this round, Amir, but a tremendous season nevertheless.

Tracked your progress all year, great stuff.

Carnage for so many coaches and this season is proving to be just as difficult to navigate as last years. Managed to avoid any donuts and actually had my first round with what I am calling a completed side, ie – no onfield rookies. Walsh & Titch were huge, with 5 other 120 scores from Hawkins (finally), Steele (superstar), Macrae (just gets the job done), Oliver (always reliable) and Danger. And a big thumbs up to DeGoey in his first game in my team & he didn’t disappoint, even if my Pies did.

Now to deal with Dusty like everyone else….

    Martin gone
    Whitfield injured
    Kelly injured
    Langford injured
    Zero trades left!
Nice knowing you all I might start working on next years team now! Lol

    1. I’ve already started a notes page for next years SC Glen! Started it 3 weeks ago hahahaha.

I actually cracked 2,500 with my skipper Walsh dragging me to that mark on his own.

Still lost in LoEC #1 to Anthony, well done mate, huge score for you.

      1. Thanks mate. Spewing I lost mills could of hate a chance to take home some bacon with a big score from him. Got a few trades left but last upgrade tough. Good luck for rest of season.

  8. 2178/Macrae/Who cares really

Dusty (and most likely Kelly) out with season ending injuries on the weekend (story of my season), with Haynes traded in for Whitfield was totally a great move that was advised to me by everyone else. Mundy and Walker also didn’t do me any favours.
Out of contention to make finals in the league that actually mattered to me (and the guy I lost to had Mills and Greene out, go figure).

I have two trades left, which were going to be used to upgrade Highmore or Bianco to a premo defender in a couple of weeks time. Now I’ll have to used them fix Dusty and Kelly. So I’m stuck with Highmore, Bianco, Madden, Briggs, Edwards, etc.

I’m done. I know people will say that we’ve all gone through the same thing, but I’m actually done with this game. I’m probably gonna do the trades, then not even look at Supercoach until after Rd.23 and see how I’ve gone and if I’ve somehow managed to win any of the other leagues I’m in. Because what’s the point of looking back at a team if you’ve got no trades and keep getting screwed over so many times.

Brockman covering Langford was always going to be an issue. With 0 trades left and Dusty joining Langford on the sidelines, I’m f*cked lol.

All I care about now is how bAps and Emile (ranked #2 and #58) see out the season – happily copped a one-two from them in Gun’s Regulars #1 & #2 this week.

Also a shout out to Tom and Lisa, who have both been popping off lately. Great work.

    1. Thanks GD, I see injuries have cursed you again :(. Baps is just on a roll and Emilie is flying, could be seeing a SCT number 1 this year.

      1. Yeah. Had a nightmare with injuries, Tom.

RoMo and Bowes going down in the same week destroyed me, but yeah: all in on bAps and Emile!

What an up and down weekend. Ruined a potential great weekend by captaining grundy over steele or walsh. Traded in mills this week to get a jump for whitfield holders but didnt quite work out how i planned.

+3s Steele, Sharp! (bramble on bench as well), Walsh.

-3s May zorko and covid outs.

Still sitting better than many with 5 trades left and 250k in the bank so flexibility to upgrade dusty. Praying mills is back in this week or will have to look at some tough choices.

It’s always handy when your rookie M8 scores over 100. The obvious downfall is Martin which is going to leave me with 2 trades left for the season. I still need to get a proper m8 but if Sharp/Bramble continue their form we might be okay. GGs to everyone we came up against.

Donut with Mills as I used Highmore to replace Whitfield
1 trade left to be used on Dusty replacement

My forwards have been a disaster this year Dunkley, Butters, Danger, Rozee, Phillips, Heeney, Langford, Dusty.

Probably my last good score needing to use my last two trades to cover Dusty and Highmore.
Was lucky to avoid most of the carnage.

  14. 2369/Grundy/4.6k (up 233 spots surprisingly).

Only briefly tempted to use Macrae’s VC but never seriously and lost out on 36 extra points but thought Reg would pop off against Caaaaarlton.

Used Highmore to cover Whitfield, and Treacy for Langford – not ideal.
Big pat on the backs to Walsh, Titch, Jack, Danger and RoMo.

Have to cover Jelly, but I’m the person who hasn’t owned Dusty so dodged that one.

  15. 2423/Zerrett/9717 (up 1409)

Traded Whitfield to Mills 15 mins before the bounce… luckily heard the news and was able to reverse trade. Hoping Whitfield is back next week.

Two trades left with Dusty and Jelly to deal with and 1 rookie still onfield (Weightman/Treacy). Reading the comments above though it sounds like I have 2 trades more than most.

If Jelly is short term I can maybe bench him and bring Bramble on.

Dusty > DeGoey?? leaves me with 1 trade and $98k

Do I have the guts to bring back Heeney for my last trade for the run home?

If lockdown wasn’t driving me crazy then this game sure is!

    Good luck all.

    1. Stewy, as a Heeney holder myself, don’t do it. He’s been constant disappointment in the last 6 weeks that I’ve had him

  16. 2319/Grundy/5909

Each week since the byes I’ve had at least one premo missing through injury. Now, with only one trade left, I have Dusty & Jelly to deal with. Hope Jelly isn’t too bad. But at this rate, I’ll be back to fielding 4-5 rookies by the end of the season.
And don’t get me started on VC/C scores. In six choices over the last 3 weeks, I haven’t been able to do better than a 116.

  17. 2523 / Grundy 🙁 / 58 ( 55)

I’m stoked and can’t believe I moved up. I’m just super lucky to not have Mills or Greene. Still, absolutely kicking myself that I got greedy by not taking Macrae’s VC score. Really can’t complain though. Dusty to…..someone under $470k and then praying for no more injuries. What a season! Go bAps!

  18. 2173, Danger, ranked 40k for the round,
after back to back to back rounds with 2500+ I go and pull this out of the bag. So many things went wrong

Good – Danger as VC, Marshall, Walsh, Walsh and Walsh
Bad – Zorko, hind, Fyfe, boak, Haynes, grundy ridley
Ugly – Mills not playing, Dusty injury, taking Dangers VC over Walsh

At the end of the byes, I came out with 4 trades for injuries and a full team. Now I have had to deal with CJ, Impey, Langford, Whitfield and now Mills and Dusty. Now I have no trades left with 5 rounds to go, and my cover consists of bramble, Newcombe, Bianco and

Had the same Dusty, Langford,Whitfield carnage everyone else had, was lucky to escape a donut to Brockman’s return. Walsh the Hero.

2 trades left and 50K in the bank. gonna be tight for the final two weeks.

1 trade left after dealing with Dusty. Will try and trade down and Bank some extra $$$ just incase

My highest round rank for the year at 242 woo!
Pretty lucky to avoid most of the carnage that some did, I will have to deal with dusty but that will just turn into Bolton or Marshall,
7 trades left now and just fielding the 1 non premo in J.Sharp who dished up a handy 115.
