Adelaide

Billy Dowling Foot. 3-5 weeks. He injured his foot during a reserves practice match on Friday night against West Coast. “Billy had scans which have shown a joint-related issue in his foot,” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

Josh Worrell (hamstring) remains in doubt for round one after reinjuring his hamstring in the match simulation against Fremantle.

Worrell has resumed running but the club is taking a cautious approach with his rehab.

Paul Seedsman (inactive)

Hugh Bond (back), Billy Dowling (foot), Andrew McPherson (knee) are all unavailable round one.

Will Langford is back into his regular program after suffering a back spasm at training last week.

Jye Caldwell  sprained ankle. “Hopefully (the ankle) is not too bad. Obviously, that will get scanned. He’s an important player for us,”assistant coach Daniel Giansiracusa

Jake Stringer was in and out of running at training on Monday, but won’t be rushed ahead of round one.

Matt Guelfi is back in full training in his recovery from a calf issue

Ben McKay A bone stress injury to his right foot that rules him out for the start of the season. “His rehab program will continue to evolve with the aim to integrate him back into the training program in due course.” Todd Viney.

“Cam will be on light duties and monitored closely over the next week,” said Todd Viney

“It will be a matter of waiting to see how he responds, then progressing his rehab as his symptoms allow.”

Callum Coleman-Jones  Suffered a foot injury in a VFL practice match on Saturday, with his return to play yet to be determined. He is in a moonboot after he suffered a partial tear of his left plantar fascia and will soon undergo a rehab program.

George Wardlaw (conditioning) is still building up his training loads.

Curtis Taylor (calf), Aaron Hall (Achilles) and Aidan Corr (calf) all returned for a VFL practice game last week and could again play a reserves scratch match this weekend as they make their bid for round one returns.

Darcy Tucker (knee) unlikely for round one.

Jayden Short Scans have revealed Short has a left calf strain. Short’s availability for Round 1 will be assessed closer to next Thursday’s season opener.” Test.

Jack Ross is expected to miss the short term after a left medial ligament strain from an incident at training on Thursday.

Dion Prestia (strained pec) “It’s some sort of pec (pectoral) injury. Obviously, we’ll go and scan him later in the week, but we’re not sure at this stage. Hopefully, it’s not too serious,” Andrew McQualte, midfield coach.

Scans have confirmed pectoral strain. Still considered a chance for round one.

Callum Mills

Callum suffered a finger injury during the Brisbane game. He won’t play against Carlton but will continue to train fully and is expected to play Round 1.

Tom Hickey

Tom continues to progress in his return from a calf strain. He is currently completing strength and conditioning based work, however, is yet to commence running. At this stage, we don’t expect him to be available for at least the first few rounds of the season.

Tom Papley

Tom suffered a knock to the ribs in training two weeks ago and did not play against Brisbane due to some bruising. He will be managed again this week but will train fully and we expect him to play Round 1.

Robbie Fox

Robbie suffered a calf strain at training. He is currently completing strength-based work and is yet to commence running. He will be unavailable for selection in Round 1.

Jacob Konstanty

Jacob has progressed really well in his first preseason with the club. He has had some shin soreness which is requiring modification to his training and running loads for a 2-week period, before recommencing full training.

Ryan Clarke

Ryan Clarke is progressing slowly from his hamstring strain. He will be unavailable for the first few rounds of the 2023 AFL Season.

Robbie Fox (calf) Unavailable.

 

WCE

Nic Naitanui Achilles soreness. Completed some ground and running work during Monday’s session. Remains doubtful for round one.

Jack Darling (Ankle) undertook a solo session before training on Monday, completing straight line running and change of direction drills.

Taylor Duryea was sent for precautionary scans after copping a knock to his neck in practice game.  “All the scans have cleared him of any injury. He feels okay, which is a real positive for us.” “He’s just going to have a little bit of a rest now. He’ll probably introduce himself through training this week and hopefully be right for Round 1.” Rohan Smith, assistant coach.

Ed Richards corked thigh. “I was giving him a little bit down there (on the bench) after coming off with just a corky, but it was a big one. He’ll be right. He’ll ice up and he’ll be sweet.” Rohan Smith, assistant coach.

Jason Johannisen (calf) will be fit for round one
