Adelaide:

Lachlan Murphy (neck) was involved in a collision in the third quarter and was subbed out of the game. He had a precautionary scan on Monday which cleared him of serious damage and he is set to train with the main group on Wednesday.

“We put him through an MRI and he was cleared of any serious damage there, so we expect him to train tomorrow and be available on the weekend.

“He’s walking around and doing everything in the gym and we expect no issues with him.” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess

Brodie Smith (concussion) expected to be available in line with the AFL’s concussion protocol timeline

Ned McHenry (concussion) expected to be available in line with the AFL’s concussion protocol timeline

Zac Taylor (thumb) is also set to return from a broken thumb this week.

Riley Thilthorpe (knee) has cleared the AFL’s health and safety protocol and is expected to be available for selection this weekend.

“He completed a full session on both Wednesday and Friday last week and he will be in normal training and be available for selection,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess

Paul Seedsman (concussion) Indefinite.

Rory Sloane (knee) Season.

 is out of the knee brace and has started his rehabilitation exercises after undergoing a knee reconstruction.

“He’s been fantastic, the brace is off and he’s working through the unfortunately frustratingly slow process of rehab but he’s doing everything that we’re asking and more,” High Performance Manager Darren Burgess

 

Brisbane :

Dan McStay (ankle) 3-4 weeks after scans confirmed some lateral ligament damage in his left ankle.  

“We had a scan, obviously he’s got a bit of ankle damage there which is an ankle sprain, so we’ll give him about 3 weeks. 

“We’ll hopefully get him up and moving by the end of the week.”  High Performance Manager, Damian Austin

Eric Hipwood (knee) Will play this weekend, either VFL or AFL?

Kai Lohmann (ankle) 4 weeks.

Joe Daniher (shoulder) 3-5 weeks. Scans results indicate that surgery not required.

George Hewett (calf) Test. Still managing the cork to the calf sustained in Round 6. Will continue to be assessed as the week progresses and remains a test to play.

Ed Curnow (knee) TBC. 3-5 weeks

Caleb Marchbank (knee) return from 12 months on the sidelines with a knee injury with 20 disposals and five marks in the VFL over the weekend.

Isaac Quaynor has been cleared of further damage to his finger after dislocating it.

  1. I’ve had English and Hewett warming the bench for 3 and 2 weeks respectively now, having lost past 2 weeks by small margins, I don’t think I can afford them not playing…hopefully more certain updates when teams announced or looks like side-ways trading to playing premo’s for me

  2. Rumour has it Hewitt might come back after his bye. He’ll be a test to play until up to then. I’m thinking just trade him out and get him after his bye.

      I heard on Twitter. Drew jones.

      Hewett trained today and just need to get through Friday to play Sunday.

      I would hold that trade for now.

  3. Carlton update:

    Harry McKay (knee) torn the lateral meniscus in his knee and is expected to miss 6 weeks.

    Luke Parks is expected to be sidelined for the next three months after further investigations determined he had suffered a bone stress injury in his foot.

    George Hewett – “Was able to fully train today as he aims to return from a corked calf. Will need to train fully on Friday though to confirm his availability for the weekend.” Carlton FC.
