Latest DPP Data – Round 10

Written by Chaos Theory on May 23 2023

Hi all,

Tiger asked about DPP status in “Polling Station – Round 11”

Thank you for your question so here is the latest update.

Cheers

CT.

Some significant changes to possible DDP candidates.

Jack Macrae has jumped from 30 per cent forward to 40 per cent in the past two rounds with his CBAs attendance crashing to just six centre bounces in the past two rounds.

Max Gawn‘s certain DDP took a hit when he attended 53 ruck contests to Brodie Grundy’s 30. His time spent forward dropped from 37 per cent to 35 per cent, leaving Gawn right on the threshold. It goes without saying that this week is crucial.

Sam Walsh forward percentage dropped from 40 to 34 and put him under the threshold for FWD-MID status. With George Hewett as the sub, Walsh attended 58 per cent of centre bounces against Collingwood.

Christian Petracca also dropped from 31 per cent forward to 29%. Petracca looks certain to miss DPP addition especially with Oliver missing round 11.

What looked certain a week or two ago, now is precarious.

Supercoach is unpredictable.

  1. I was certain to boot Macrae out at his bye round because of his crap role but if he gets DPP that muddies the water considerably… hmmm…

    1. Macrae is averaging 106.1 points this year which would rank seventh of those listed as forwards behind Josh Dunkley, Tim Taranto, Zak Butters, Jack Ziebell, Errol Gulden and Connor Rozee.

  2. Thanks CT. Looks like I outsmarted myself cause I bought Gawn in round 9 thinking he’d monster the hawks and port rucks gaining an huge price increase and then move him fwd. Hmm

    1. At the conclusion of Round 11 – so after this weekend.

Gawn, Walsh and Macrae the big looks.

  3. I traded in Walsh last week thinking that at 40% he would get forward status and then Voss played him in the guts last week, which he hadn’t done the previous 2 weeks.

Kennedy as sub, then Hewett as sub????

Maybe Walsh will be the sub this week.

I don’t think Voss has a clue and is rivalling Bevo and his salad.

  4. Just wanna say this information is gold. Really appreciate you sharing this. Does give some ideas when forward planning.
For me, if Gawn is DPP, is Cameron a must have? Ultimately I decided yes, because I cannot afford a premium ruckman yet, so Gawn can stay R2 and his DPP is not in play yet.

  5. Looks like I will have another Mid/Fwd premo in Macrae.
Would have loved to have chosen Bont over him at the start of the season, expecting Bont to be more forward to replace Dunkley, since he is good forward of the ball.
However Bevo used his unusual logic and has played Macrae forward……

  6. My trade plans were to bring in Walsh this week to then move forward and complete my forward line.
Now thinking I might hold a week and see if he gets DPP, but regardless he is probably still at top 8 mid and worth the trade in this week.
